Lync 2013 custom SSRS reports from CDR

Trying to replicate canned Lync 2013 User Activity Report, but with more filtering capability, using SSRS. Necessary to do this way because we're adding details like user names, departments and locations from our Active directory.
Have been unable to ever find support on WHAT the query or stored proc IS behind the UA report. If I have that code I can incorporate that with our data.
Any help appreciated!

The CDR schema can be found here, which will be helpful for creating your reports:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg398570.aspx
Most queries start from the SessionDetails Table:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg398589.aspx
For hacking up existing SSRS reports to see what procedure or view they call, you'll have better luck asking in the SQL forums.

    Hi,
    Check whether the SBC support REFFER if not disable REFFER from Lync Server Trunk configuration.
    Please check if the SBC is supported with the help of the link below:

  • Project Server User Security + Custom SSRS Reports Project List Parameter

    Hello, below is the issue / challenge scenario:
    I'mnt. We have to remove the smaller chunk of queries that are hitting the published database to get the user security permissions. I'm using custom SSRS reports that are pulling data from Reporting database and other custom financial SQL DB's. I need to
    figure out a solution to get the list of accessible projects for a particluar user using PSI. I did find this technet article that addresses my issue in a way
    http : // technet . microsoft . com/en-us/office/ee862408(v=office.14).aspx#pj2007_ta_SecurityInReports_DevelopingThePsiProxiesClassLibrary
     the above solution means that I need to change many of my existing report queries (going to published DB)
    Is there a simpler way to maintain a table that I can populate with the Project GUID's, name , user id, name using PSI? I can then refer the existing SQL's procs, TVF's to point to this table instaed of going to the published DB (unsupported method)
    Any help/ direction is greatly appreciated
    thanks,
    SG

    Hello,
    The ReadProjectStatus PSI method defaults to Project for the Project Type, the value is 0. If you want other project types is gets slightly more complicated as you have to have multiple data sets for the ReadProjectStatus call, one for each project type
    - each time specifying the default projType. For example for Projects (0) the query is:
    <Query>
    <Method Namespace="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/project/server/webservices/Project/" Name="ReadProjectStatus">
    <Parameters>
    <Parameter Name="projType"><DefaultValue>0</DefaultValue></Parameter>
    </Parameters>
    </Method>
    <SoapAction>http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/project/server/webservices/Project/ReadProjectStatus</SoapAction>
    <ElementPath IgnoreNamespaces="true">ReadProjectStatusResponse/ReadProjectStatusResult/diffgram/ProjectDataSet/Project{PROJ_NAME,PROJ_UID,PROJ_TYPE}</ElementPath>
    </Query>
    For sub projects (5) it is:
    <Query>
    <Method Namespace="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/project/server/webservices/Project/" Name="ReadProjectStatus">
    <Parameters>
    <Parameter Name="projType"><DefaultValue>5</DefaultValue></Parameter>
    </Parameters>
    </Method>
    <SoapAction>http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/project/server/webservices/Project/ReadProjectStatus</SoapAction>
    <ElementPath IgnoreNamespaces="true">ReadProjectStatusResponse/ReadProjectStatusResult/diffgram/ProjectDataSet/Project{PROJ_NAME,PROJ_UID,PROJ_TYPE}</ElementPath>
    </Query>
    You have to repeat this for all project types you want to include, create a hidden parameter for each project type then create a parameter to join them up and use the combined parameter to filter the data sets that get the data from the Reporting
    database.
    For other parameters in the ReadProjectStatus method see:

  • Lync 2013 Call Quality Reporting Time Intervals

    Does anyone know the time interval used to report the metrics associated with the Lync 2013 call quality reports?  If so, is there documentation that confirms that?
    For example, Max Packet Loss Rate gives you a percentage.  However, I haven't found any documentation that says how long a sample period is.  Was that Max Packet Loss rate experienced for, at least, 1 second, 5 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 mintue etc?
    I haven't found any conclusive information regarding how long of a period they may have experienced that max packet loss number, nor at what point during the call.
    Thanks in advance for the help!

    Hi,
    The network health is expressed by the number of poor audio streams, where a poor stream is defined as having a packet loss rate over 1 percent and a maximum packet loss rate over 5 percent.
    You can refer to the following two links to understand it easliy:

    We have tried a number of things this to get this working, but nothing has worked.
    Installed Office 2013 SP1
    Completely re imaged the client's computers
    Deployed new Polycom Lync phones
    Completely removed clients from their response group and the Lync server and added them back

    By default, calls from Response Groups ignore call forwarding or simultaneous ring settings.

  • Creating Custom BI Reports from Oracle Agile PLM

    Hi All,
    Firstly apologies if this post is in the wrong forum, I struggling to find any real Oracle Agile Support.
    I have been tasked with developing 3 custom BI reports for Oracle Agile. I have used BI Publisher in the past but only within Oracle E-Business Suite. From what I have seen so far Oracle Agile is a lot different.
    What I need to understand is within Oracle Agile how do I create the XML Data file for the custom report, and then how do you then register the RTF template and run the report within Oracle Agile PLM.
    Any help would be really appreciated.
    Regards

  • Lync 2013 click to call from Outlook 2013 does not have the option for Lync call

    Hello,
    We are currently migrating from OCS 2007 r2 to Lync 2013. We are on office 365, but Lync is on premise. After migrating several users the option in Outlook to click to call someone only shows one option, which is to call the person's desk phone. Before there
    was a dropdown where you could choose desk phone, mobile or Lync call. This issue isn't happening to everyone. We are using Office 2013 and Office 2010. Please let me know if you have suggestions or if you need more info.
    Not sure if this is related, but some people have lost the option to view their contact's pictures.
    Thank you in advance,
    Mitch

    Hi,
    Please see the image below, are we talking about this?
    If a contact doesn't have a phone number, we surely can't call him.
    You can try updating the Offline Address Book to see the result:

  • Lync 2013 custom meeting requests and the CustomFooterText attribute

    Hi there,
    I've been playing around custom meeting requests in Lync 2013. I need to automatically add some lines of text for a Lync Meeting request, and have been using the CustomFooterText attribute. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to support carriage return
    so all the text is dumped onto one line... and looks very messy.
    I've read on one of the posts, that this field supports HTML, and have tried pasting in some HTML codes, but it's still rendered as text in Outlook.
    The only way I've managed to do this is to save the desired output as an image, upload it to a web server, and use the -LogoURL switch instead, which essentially inserts a graphic... not ideal, but works.
    Does anyone know of a way to insert carriage returns into the CustomFooterText?
    Regards, James.
    James Frost

    Hi James,
    I did some research and testing but found no way to add a carriage return to have this text respect the formatting as entered.
    Best regards,
    Eric

  • Reverse engineer custom Z reports from SAP in ODI

    Hi all
    We are in the process of integrating SAP to ODI. While reverse engineering, I can see only the SAP tables in the Metadata browser. Is it possible to reverse engineer the custom Z reports created by the customer? These reports typically access multiple tables.

  • Ssrs report from ssas cube , driving me nuts now...

    hi folks:
     This is driving me nuts and I know it's gonna be some small stupid settings.  The question is pretty simple, I want to users to be able to pick up a week from date hierarchy. If I specify a static week, mdx query will run and report shows with
    correct data and format.
    Now, in the dataset I've created using query designer, I've dragged data hierarchy into the filter and check the parameter box and also put a default value as well.   Technically, when I run this report, I am supposed to see a dropdown list with all
    the available dates but I did not see any dropdownlist and report still runs with default value.
     Why is this happening?
    Thanks
     Hui
    --Currently using Reporting Service 2000; Visual Studio .NET 2003; Visual Source Safe SSIS 2008 SSAS 2008, SVN --

    Hi Hui,
    Just as Gnanadurai said, a report auto runs when all parameters has their own default values. This scenario can also be occurred when there are no available values for the parameters. So if you want to see a drop-down list with all available dates when the
    report runs, we should specify some available values for the parameter. For example, we can specify the available values come from a dataset field. Then the values in the field would be displayed in the drop-down list, we can select some of them to filter
    the report.
    Reference:
    Adding Parameters to Select Multiple Values in a List (SSRS)
    Hope this helps.

  • Issues using HTTP Connection Manager to run SSRS reports from SSIS

    In my package, I have a HTTP Connection Manager called "ReportServer". And I have two variables called "ReportURL" and "ReportFile". "ReportURL" is the URL for the report. I won't get into the details of this
    URL because I don't think this is the issue. "ReportFile" is the complete path and name of the output file I want to generate from "ReportURL".
    With these things in place, I have a script component that that looks like this.
    Public Sub Main()
    'Connect to http conn mgr
    Dim httpConn As ConnectionManager = Dts.Connections("ReportServer")
    Dim clientConn As HttpClientConnection = New HttpClientConnection(httpConn.AcquireConnection(Nothing))
    'file name with path
    Dim ReportFile As String = Dts.Variables("ReportFile").Value.ToString
    'report url
    Dim ReportURL As String = Dts.Variables("ReportURL").Value.ToString
    clientConn.ServerURL = ReportURL
    'Download PDFReport
    clientConn.DownloadFile(ReportFile, True)
    Dts.TaskResult = ScriptResults.Success
    End Sub
    I don't know too much about the inner workings of the above script. It's from a template I copied from somewhere and it's been working fine.
    But, today all of a sudden, it started a mysterious behavior. Let me see if I can describe it to see if this sounds familiar to anyone.
    For some reason, a run of this package failed at time T1, running with a certain value of "ReportURL" and "ReportFile". Now everytime I try to fun the package with the same "ReportURL" and "ReportFile", it fails because
    it tries to write out two files with the same name, "ReportFile", one from the current one and another from the failed one at time T1. It looks like somehow, the connection is still open from the failed one in time T1 and it won't go away.... does
    this sound like anything? Can you understand the problem I am describing?

    May it be that this post is NOT SSIS related?

  • SSRS reports from Lightswitch Html Client

    I have created a Lightswitch desktop application that list the available reports that are stored in a table and also provides a button that when clicked launches the web browser to the URL for the report on the SQL server. My problem is now I'm trying to
    create the HTML client for the application and have no experience with Java Script. Does anyone know how to accomplish the something that I did on the desktop application on the HTML client?

    Private Sub RunReport_Execute()

  • Can't find object ReportExecutionService when trying to execute SSRS report from C#/SSIS script task

    I'm trying to work through the code sample at
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/reportexecution2005.reportexecutionservice.render(v=sql.105).aspx but can't find the ReportExecutionService class.  At first I tried to add a reference to a .NET namespace and it turned out that I needed
    to add a service reference.  I thought I was in the clear.  Then I realized that I needed to include the namespace MyProjectName.ReportExecutionService_MyUniqueName, which was a namespace/class genereated by Visual Studio when I added the web service
    reference.
    Ok, so now I'm trying to find the class MyProjectName.ReportExecutionService_MyUniqueName.ReportExecutionService, just like the first line in the Main() method of the code sample.  However, the class is not found.  Intellisense (and error messages
    when compiling) show that only a class called ReportExecutionServiceSoap and ReportExecutionServiceSoapChannel exist.  I can't find any references to those in any MSDN samples and the structures of the classes don't seem to be the same (at least according
    to Intellisense).
    The project is set to compile for .NET 3.5.
    Can anyone explain why I can't see the ReportExecutionService class or what my alternatives are?
    Thanks!

    Found out that there's a difference between adding a Service Reference and a Web Reference.  In VS right click on References, Add Service Reference, then at the bottom there's an Advanced button.  At the bottom of the next form there's a Add
    Web Reference button.  Use that instead of Service Reference.

  • SSRS reports inside SPO 2013 - Question about ADFS

    Our SPO 2013 Tenant is secured by ADFS Claims Based.
    I understand SSRS integrated is not available for SPO 2013.
    We want to allow links from SPO 2013 to SSRS Reports that authenticate with the same ADFS tokens - so no prompting.
    Possible? If so, what do we need?
    Possible to provision the SSRS server in ADFS? What versions of SSRS will allow this?

    Well, should we move this to the Power Query forum and try it there?
