Mac Mini compatible bluetooth headset

Does anyone know if any bluetooth headset is compatible with the Mac mini?

Bluetooth is a standard so any should be. I've not had any problems with the three I've tried with my Macs - all headsets worked fine for Skype calls.

what does connecting iPad mini to my Mac Mini  through Bluetooth do

There is nothing else you can do as regards the Mac. Bluetooth between a Mac and an iOS device works only for tethering so you can share the iOS device's cell connection. Otherwise, Bluetooth in an iPad is for connecting to peripherals such as headsets, in-car systems, and keyboards.

  • How to listen/watch videos on ipad mini with bluetooth headset

how can I listen/watch videos (e.g You Tube) on ipad mini with bluetooth headset. The headset is paired but the sound comes only from the ipad mini internal speaker

I was the fan of this feature until ios 6 version. I have two mini ipads @ my home for my kids. It helped my kids a lot to play all the episodes within a tv show. Apple some how decided kill the features linked to someone's patent in ios 7, thereby they can avoid paying royalty fee to the patent holder. Even from the initial days there are lot of such features missed out in ipad, iphone or MAC. You might overlook these features as a consumer.
I will be surprised if Apple listens to this customer feedback.
I am seeing the same question being raised in many forums including within apple forums.

  • Boot Mac Mini w/Bluetooth without Keyboard/Mouse attachted

    Hi,
I´m trying to boot a Mac Mini with Bluetooth without any Keyboard/Mouse attachted to it.
It doesn´t work. Every time the Mac stucks at looking for Bluetooth devices.
    Running 10.4.11
    Any ideas?
    Thanks a lot,
    seb

    already tried this one!
That would have been helpful to know from the beginning so we don't waste our time with things you've already tried. What else have you already tried to troubleshoot this situation?
Maybe you need to delete that preference file, as it's clearly not working correctly? This file is not in your own user's home folder, but in the root "Library" folder in this path:
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
Put that file in the Trash, restart, log back in, delete the trash, and uncheck the option again in the System Preferences. Does it stick now? Or have you tried that already too?

Is Mac mini compatible with screens from other brands different to Mac?

We have two minis with three screens betwen them, LaCie, Eizo and HP. All work fine.
Obviously you need to check limitations on screen size etc.

  • Tablet with Mac mini with bluetooth?

    Hi,
I was going to use an iPad with my Mac mini using blue tooth but I learnt I would have to also use a blue tooth keyboard etc to use it.
Is there any other brand of tablet that I could connect to my Mac mini with bluetooth without using another blue tooth device?

I was going to use an iPad with my Mac mini using blue tooth but I learnt I would have to also use a blue tooth keyboard etc to use it.
This makes no sense. The use of a Bluetooth keyboard has nothing to do with the iPad. You may use either a USB keyboard or a Bluetooth keyboard. Period. The iPad connects to the computer by USB for syncing and updating. But just having an iPad connected does not limit you to a Bluetooth keyboard.
Is there any other brand of tablet that I could connect to my Mac mini with bluetooth without using another blue tooth device?
What did you want to do with the tablet that needs Bluetooth connectivity? Other than backing up my apps and syncing my iTunes library, my iPad is hardly ever connected to my Mac. It gets used independently of my computer through it's Wi-Fi connection. (Yahoo Mail, Gmail, Google Calendar Sync, etc.) One of the few apps I have that connect the iPad to the Mac is to turn the iPad into a large trackpad for the Mac. That uses a Wi-Fi connection, so still no need for Bluetooth. I admit, it would be nice to sync my iTunes library over Bluetooth, similar to my Windows Mobile phone to my PC, but what do you need to do over Bluetooth?

  • Can I use my Mac as a bluetooth headset?

I have a USB headset with a mic connected to the Mac I sit in front of most of the day for work. I'm wondering... can I use my Mac as a bluetooth headset when talking on the phone? If so, how do I set this up and how do I activate it when I want to use it?

    No
    Get a bluetooth headset.

Does anybody know if the Sony AD-7670S is Mac mini compatible? I want to upgrade the combo drive that's in the mini but am having trouble finding one other than either ebay, or overpriced Mac only shops.
Here's the one I'm looking at:

Or, can someone recommend a reasonably priced alternative from a UK vendor?
    Thanks in advance.

Kind of answering my own question, that one I listed is SATA, so I'm assuming won't work as I think I need a (P)ATA one? - Has anyone got any suggestions for a UK store that sells one for less than £40?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Compatible bluetooth headsets.

Is there a list of compatible bluetooth headsets for the iphone anywhere?
(UK if it makes a difference)
    Thanks.

I've seen no reports of BT headsets that were not compatible. Except that no A2DP headsets work with the iPhone, which doesn't support this profile.

  • Mac Mini's Bluetooth Specs

I tried to search through Apple's website for Mac Mini's installed Bluetooth Specifications but couldn't find the information I need.
Can someone help to answer the following questions?
1)Does the installed BT card support Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR? If not, what is the Bluetooth spec it conforms to?
2)Does the BT card support stereo Bluetooth headset such as the Plantronics Pulsar 590? Will it support stereo music streamings to the headset?
    3)Does it support the A2DP?
    Thanks.

Can someone help to answer the following questions?
1)Does the installed BT card support Bluetooth 2.0 +
EDR? If not, what is the Bluetooth spec it conforms
    to?
Yes, BT2.0 plus EDR is implemented on the mini.
2)Does the BT card support stereo Bluetooth headset
such as the Plantronics Pulsar 590? Will it support
stereo music streamings to the headset?
A qualified yes. I own the Pulsar 590, and it can be paired as a MONO headset with the mini. If you're using for Skype, for instance, it works fine. Just make sure the 590 is not already paired with your BT cell phone; it can only work as a headset for one device at a time.
    3)Does it support the A2DP?
No, as the previous poster says. Support for BT2.0 does NOT imply support for A2DP. Bummer. Presumably, Apple will support A2DP someday, maybe when they come out with a BT iPod.
That said, the little BT transmitter included with the 590A is A2DP and is pretty good. Downside is that its converting an analog signal back to digital before transmitting over BT, so audio quality isn't as good as it could be.
    Thanks.

  • Just made the pc to Mac jump. Can I connect my iPad to my Mac Mini via Bluetooth ...my current keyboard isn't connecting so I can't even get passed the password screen.

Someone please help me connect my two devices together so that I don't have to purchase yet another item. Is there an app or something that would allow me to connect my Mac Mini to my iPad 2 wirelessly. I can't get passed the password screen because the wireless Keyboard will no longer connect to my Mac ...helllllppp .... I use it for both my iPad and my Mac mini....does that matter?

If your iPad is close enough to your keyboard and Mini
and if the iPad is merely in standby and not off, the
connection to the iPad is still active.  Therefore, the
keyboard will not connect to the Mini.
If the iPad is far enough away to break the Bluetooth
connection or you unpair from the iPad or you turn the
iPad off, then the keyboard should connect just fine with the Mini.
Most Bluetooth HID's (Human Interface Device) can only service
one host at a time.  This is by design.

  • Mac Mini compatible display with webcam/mic built in?

Been on a good search around the internet and haven't found any new displays that are reviewed and confirmed to be compatible with mac mini or any other mac for that matter and feature a built in webcam/mic that will work for Facetime. I'm not looking to spend $999 for a 27" Thunderbolt Apple display. Size doesn't really matter. I found some on Dell that meet my needs but I'm unsure if they work. I was recommended by some on another forum for an older Dell Monitor that did work with Mac Mini and was reviewed multiple times to do so. It's used however you can't find that monitor new anymore. Any help or suggestions by anyone that has found a monitor to be compatible with a built in webcam/cam would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time!

  • Mac Mini and Bluetooth connectivity

Can I install an Apple magic mouse and magic trackpad with my Mac Mini (early 2009) using OS X Lion ?  Anybody have this set-up ?  Any issues with having both active bluetooth devices ?  I'm currently using the magic mouse and want to add the trackpad when I upgrade from Snow Leopard to Lion.

It will see each device as a unique BT device and there should be no issues pairing both. I do not have a M Trackpad, but as an experiment, I paired two Magic Mouses. No issues.

  • Mac Mini and Bluetooth Recent Problems (Mighty Mouse, Wireless Keyboard)

    Hello there,
I have an issue with my Mac Mini.
We had a storm here recently, so I switched my Mac off. After that, I turned it on, but to my surprise my Wireless Mighty Mouse and Wireless Keybord do not function any more. The green dot under the mouse nad keyboard flashes for a few seconds and turns off. I tried to plug my regular mouse and keyboard but it seems the do not work too. Any solutions?

i dont know if you have another mac around but have you tried repairing the disk by putting it into Target disk mode and hooking up another mac to it? if nothing else, try putting the install CD/DVD and boot from there by holding down "c" as it boots. if that works then it may just be a bad BT card. if it doesnt work then you may have bad usb ports. i hope you have applecare!
a tip for bluetooth HIDs, spread them apart. you will experience problems on occasion where their signals get crossed and they fail to sync right.
by the way, if you went the extra mile to turn off your mac because you were concerned about it, then why didnt you just unplug it from the outlet?
