Macbook has become Macbook(2). What does this mean and how do i change it back?

The name of my macbook has gone from username's macbook to username's macbook (2). Does anyone know what this mean and how i change it back?

Hi,
This can happen when the system gets confused about some network connection. It can even happen sharing a printer.
It is a harmless bug and you can change it back to its name without the number easily, in the System Preferences, Sharing panel, computer name.

Please help....I hate iTunes to begin with. Especially the latest they have come up with. Layout drives me crazy. And now....I find maybe a couple of songs in an album as "black" and the other titles are greyed out. What does this mean? I find it very frustrating as the black titles will repeat but the others seem to just disappear off the "play next" list. How can I fix this? And no...downloading from iCloud hasn't helped any.
This sounds like you have some unchecked tracks. These are skipped during track to track playback. The track names are slightly greyed out in the album view. You can normally see the check boxes from the Songs view or you can change the status via the rght-click context menu.

My iphone has a red screen, what does this mean and how do I fix it?
I Left my Iphone on charge when I got home and went to use my phone it had a red screen, no idea what caused it or what if any underlaying problem the phone may have. Any one know anything about a red screen???????
There are four general causes of this issue:
1. The computer's PRAM no longer contains a valid startup disk setting when there aren't any problems with the disk itself. This can be checked for by pressing the Option key and seeing if the drive appears.
2. The internal drive's directory structure has become damaged. This requires usage of an alternate bootable system to perform the repair.
3. Critical system files have been deleted. This requires usage of an alternate bootable system to reinstall them.
4. The internal drive has died or become unplugged. This is the most likely case if the computer took a sharp impact or there are unusual sounds coming from the hard drive's location.

"cannot save event. no calendar has been set." what does this mean and how do i fix it?
I keep getting the error message when I try to enter a new event or edit an existing event to my calendar:
"Cannot save event. No calendar has been set."
Any ideas on how to fix it? VERY inconvenient!

txwyrickWell, there's a lot we don't know ... for example, if you have actually set up a calendar somewhere you're trying to sync to.

I'll admit, I'm not good with computers but it seems that it should be simple to download illustrator without any problems. I don't know what operating system my mac is and apparently adobe doesn't have people to call for help so I'm trying to ask here.
Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner and choose "About this Mac" Doesn't change anything, though. Unless you update your OSX, the programs simply won't install. the warning really means what it says...

hopefully you have backup of your data since sometimes this means the HD is crashing.

I'm trying to live capture from my Sony Camcorder through Elgato but I just get the above message?This means that the backups were made with a later version than the version currently on the phone. You will have to update the phone to 6.1.3 to be able to restore the backup. You can restore a backup made with an earlier version, but not with a later version.

I dropped my macbook yesterday and it turned itself off. When I tried to turn it back on all I got was a white/gray screen with a flash folder with a ? in the middle of it? What does this mean and how do I get it to stop so I can log onto my laptop?Deev
Normally the question mark on the gray screen means it can't find the operating system. Have you tried booting up from the installation DVD? Do that, and when you come to the screen where it wants to begin a system installation you'll notice in the menubar where it say's utilites. Click on that and choose disk utility. from there choose your disk and try to verify and repair the disk. If you can you may want to also try and new install of the system. I don't know how much critical data you have, but reinstalling is an option. did you purcahse you from an Apple store? If you did you may want them to look at it. Hope this helps.

Well, it doesn't mean that at all. You can download music purchased with an Apple ID to up to 10 devices. There is no 90 day wait. The wait is if you change the Apple ID.

Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired. When I repaired "disk permission", this message was what came up. What does this mean, and how can I fix it?
The opperating system I am using is 10.7.4, and updating to the latest version currently. Computer is running fine, except that when I did some utility repairs, I got the warning above, and not really sure what do, in regards to repairing it correctly, not just getting the message off of my computer.
