MacBook OS X 10.5.8 connect to TV Toshiba
Okay, so I'm wondering what cords to use? if i can do this.
Its a small flat screen TV i have in my room and i would love to connect it to my laptop.
If i can do this and get the cord what steps do i take ?
The model 4,1 has a Mini-DVI port between the Ethernet port and the FireWire port. The PC In plug is a VGA port.

You'll also need audio cables to the TV using a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to RCA sound plugs if you use VGA. If your TV has an audio plug for HDMI then that will work for your audio. If not you will probably need to use external speakers or a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to RCA sound plugs connected to astereo system for audio if your TV doesn't have separate input plugs for audio with the HDMI plug. The Mini-DVI to HDMI doesn't carry audio and there're no audio plugs on most TVs to work with HDMI since it's expecting audio with the HDMI.

I have a 16GB iPhone 3GS. Tried synching my phone through iTunes (11.0.1 I think... on a 2009 Macbook Pro). Now when I connect to iTunes, it says it does not recognise the content on my phone. Is this because my phone (and laptop) are too old?
Also, when I tried to Restore the settings, an Error Message pops up that says " The iPhone software update server could not be contacted. The requested resource was not found.
I'm trying to free up space on my phone by removing [literally] thousands of old photos which were originally synched to the phone, because I had forgotten to uncheck the photos button when I synched it ages ago.
I have also tried synching it on my 24" iMac (running OSX Snow Leopard). But again, when I try restoring the phone through itunes, it says the file is corrupted. It sggests unplugging the device, and then plugging it in again. I have done this numerous times with no success.
I'm guessing it must be because my phone (and versions of iTunes, and OSX) are all too old.
Please can anybody help.

MacBook Pro continually drops wi-fi connection
My MacBook Pro drops the wi-fi connection at intermittent times all day. Sometimes, only after it goes to sleep. Other times every few minutes. Had Cox check all cable connections. No problem. Geniuses at Apple Store said it's an Apple problem, needs an update. Online Apple support agreed. Incredibly annoying. Only problem I've had.
Since you've only had a week take it back and get a refund. Apple has a 14 day no questions asked return policy. Return it for a refund and buy another or something else that works correctly.

I can print from my macbook pro using airport express usb connected printer, however my iPad and iphone are looking for an airprint printer. Can I direct the iPad/iphone to the usb connected printer. Macbook iphone and iPad confirm a wifi connection through the airport express.
You will need to install an App like Print Central on the iPad to try to print to the printer. It will allow you to print to most printers. Check with their support folks if you need more info.

Macbook Pro 10.6+ will not connect to wifi network
Having a strange issue with one particular Macbook Pro not being able to connect to the internal wifi. There are 5 machines, mix of Windows and OS X, none have this issue. We have a wireless network coming from a SonicWall router with wireless capability. This particular Macbook will not connect to the wifi. Just an "!" symbol around the wifi. It has no issues connecting to any other wifi in the area, even to a second on within the same floor.
What are steps to troubleshoot? I am an advanced Windows user and would check ipconfigs, flushdns, among plethora of other things. I am not so sure about what to do in OS X (10.6 or 10.7, not sure).
Any guidance would be appreciated.I can assure you it is not the router. I am pretty good with Windows and Networking, particularly these model routers. This is an issue on the laptop. I feel as if it keeps remembering old credentials to this wifi network (when user kept typing the wrong password). Once I changed the WiFi password, it no longer even asks me to update the WiFi password when attempting to connect. I have to manually try to connect to it by inputting SSID and password and still does not accept.

Hi all, so I've seen a number of similar issues but none with symptoms quite like mine, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction here. Here are the symptoms I've been experiencing lately on my MacBook pro purchased in '08:
-macbook will not turn on when connected to power adapter, regardless of whether or not the battery is in
-the LED indicator light on the magsafe adapter is green, even though the battery is currently dead
....it should also be mentioned that this current battery (my second one) is less than a year old.
With similar issues, it typically turns out to be a fried DC board, however since there is always a BRIGHT green light present on the magsafe this would lead me
to believe that there is in fact a power exchange between the two devices, correct?
I've already tried disconnecting the power source, taking out the battery, holding down the power button for 10 seconds then reconnecting the power source THEN the battery but to no avail. When I've encountered this problem in the past I've just reconnected the adapter a number of times until it finally turns amber, at which point I am able to power on the MacBook after the battery charges for a few minutes. Today I've been trying to get this to work for almost 5 hours and the magsafe LED remains green and the MacBook unresponsive! Somebody pease help!Reset SMC. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964

Setting up my brand new MacBook Pro and it will not connect to the wifi network. Nothing wrong with the network which is happily working for my iPhone and iPad! Suggestions accepted for making this connection.
Fixing this is a two step process:
1) System preferences > WiFi/Airport ...
... check [√] Ask to join new networks
"Known networks will be joined automatically.
If no known networks are available, you will
be asked before joining a new network."
2) Remove unwanted networks from the list of "known" networks under
System preferences > WiFi/Airport > (Advanced) > | Airport/WiFi pane ...
Close the window and save changes. If no joy, do a restart to ensure you are playing under the new rules. -
I just put Facetime on my MacBook and Ipad. I can connect and recieve video but no sound. The other person can hear me. If I use Skype everything works fine. I can't find any where in Facetime to change settings for the audio. Any suggestions

I have a 2011 macbook pro, buy yet when I connect my 16GB or 8GB Sandisk Extreme class 10 30mb card, it wont read it, however, it reads a 2GB class 2 card, is there anyway to fix this? and no, there is nothing wrong with the cards, they shoot fine, my dell inspiron 15 reads these cards fine, but yet my brand new macbook pro does not.
After many days of frustration, I try a stupid thing.... Put the SD card in the Lock Position and... Voilá!
The way I find to access the content is put the SD card in the Lock position..
