MacBook Pro photos not uploading to iMac via photostream
I've loaded 1800 photos onto my MacBook Pro. iPhoto 11 with photostream. Photostream started right away (ie displayed a clock in iPhoto). About 300 photos are now visible on my iMac, but the clock no longer indicates photostream is working, and I'm not getting any more photos on my iMac.
Photo Stream can sync 1000 photos and the photos will be deleted after 30 days. On your iMac and MacBook Pro, open iPhoto > Preferences > Sharing and turn on Sharing setting

External HDD shows up on Macbook Pro but not on new iMac
I recently purchased a new 21.5" iMac and when setting it up, I utilized the Time Capsule backup from my Macbook Pro; everything seemingly went fine and my iMac was set up with all the data on the Time Capsule at the time (last update was a few months ago). Once everything was ready, I signed into the Mac App Store and downloaded the Yosemite upgrade (the iMac came with Mavericks). All the while, the Western Digital External HDD was not connected to the iMac.
Once everything was complete, the system rebooted and I was off and running with my new Mac.
The problem comes in when I tried to plug in the WD; everything lights up and it seems like the system is picking up the drive but then it just hangs there. It does not show up on the Desktop or the side panel in the Finder but it does show up in Disk Utility. When I verify the disk, it tells me that it is not mounted and when I try to mount it, it tells me that I cannot and to try to run First Aid on it. I have run a Repair disk and that made no difference.
The real head-scratcher is that the Macbook still picks it up without any issue but the new computer does not.
Can someone please help?

The WD was never formatted for Mac since it worked on the Macbook right out of the box and now I have about 500+ GB worth of info on there that I would rather not lose.
Thank you.It's something I can look into doing although I don't have a spare drive to copy all of that to and/or am not really looking into getting another HDD.
I am mostly wondering if anyone can provide an answer, or rather a reason, as to why it will legitimately work on one Mac (without any issue) and not on the other...especially if the new system has been set up using the information from the first one. -
Garagekey USB keyboard works with MacBook Pro, but not with 27" iMac
Just got a brandnew 27" iMac. The Garagekey USB keyboard doesn't work. It's recognized in systemProfiler, Audio-Midi Setup, GarageBand and Logic. But no Midi is coming in. When I plug it into my MacBook Pro, it works immediately. I know the Garagekey doesn't work with some 3rd party USB hubs, maybe for lack of enough power, but it works always at the internal USB hubs with the MacBook Pro. Why doesn't it with the 27" iMac? I'm cueless...
The IMac Systemprofiler says: Current Available (mA) 500, Current Required (mA) 300. So I guess, it can't be a power problem?Have the same problem with Logic Pro. Works on my old Mac Mini but not on the new iMac 27" i5. Apple told me that it is a difference between the boards they used on the two computers. They said that even if I got a new mac mini I would run into the same problem. they recommended that I upgrade my mini, or try another piece of hardware to connect the two. Looking for hardware now. Accessing stolen Macbook Pro pics on my new iMac via iCloud
My Macbook Pro was stolen but it was backed up last November and i replaced it with a iMac. When i open up my iCloud management app I can it was backed up, but can't access it. All I want is my pictures from it, is that possible? Thanks!

New FAT32 flash drive works on Macbook Pro, but not on my iMac?

Its not the first time I hear that. Its clearly a Dreamweaver issue instead of Spry issue.
In design mode, if you hover over the inserted menu bar, does it get a blue color? If yes, what happens if you click the blue label "Spry Menu Bar: Menubar{x}"? It should display in the properties panel.

I am trying to hook my MacBook Pro to a Sony Bravia TV via DVI to HDMI cable and the TV will not recognize the signal. I have used the same setup with three other TV's, each a different brand with no problem. Any ideas?
Is the TV set to take input from the HDMI connection?
On your computer, if you open the Displays preferences and do not see an Arrangement tab (or there is an Arrangement tab that shows only a single monitor) then there is something physically wrong with your connection. Try clicking Detect Displays just to see if the computer can now sense the presence of the connection. Check your connections.
If you do have an Arrangement tab, and it shows two screens, then click Gather Windows to bring the TV's Displays preferences on to your main screen if the TV is not yet showing an image. Set the proper resolution (probably 720p, 1080i, or 1080p). Set the refresh rate (probably 60Hz) if that preference is shown. You should see a picture at this point. I recommend turning off mirrored displays if it is enabled. -
My MacBook Pro does not recognize my Android Incrdible 2 cell phone and therefore I can not transfer any photos from my cell phone to my Mac. I was able to do this in the past, but can not do so now. I have not upgraded to any new software. My USB cable is plugged in properly and I just get an error message -- "No Android Device Found". What could be the problem?
I had the same issue with the Galaxy S4 trying to see what the hype was about and was my first and last android phone. With that being said unfortunately it is a hit or miss with the Mac recognizing an android device or not. It worked perfectly fine the first time around and then it stopped working for no apparent reason. Through trial and error nothing I did solved the issue. I did however plug it in my Mac and left it connected for about 30-40 min to charge for a bit and all of the sudden it recognizes the phone. So I just launched Android File Transfer and everything else became fluid after that. I have no explanation as to why it happened that way, but what I gathered from this is maybe you just have to let it sit for a minute while plugged in before the Mac recognizes it, after all they are opposing software. On a side note this is why I will always be an apple user, Iphones and the like never have this problem

My MacBook Pro will not open documents via Adobe Reader. Says I need to aspen Reader in Browzer and accept terms and contitions first. Went through this 3 times and got through to "Finish", closed browser and then retried. No luck. What's going on?? Have no problem with same documents on iPhone and iPad
After you finished installing did you launch Adobe Reader from your /Applications folder and accept EULA(End User License Agreement)?

Both my iMac and macbook pro will not connect to a certain web site?
Both my macs (21" new iMac & a 2008 macbook pro) will not connect to foxcycling.co.uk. I know the site is live as I can access on my iphone and ipad.
From what I've read on the forums its a settings issue which probably migrated from the macbook to the iMac when I migrated the data.
Very frustrating ....

Both systems up to date etcOK, OS X does not include Adobe Flash. The website is probably Flash based. Chrome has Flash incorporated into it. If you want to download and install Flash visit Adobe's website and download Flash for your system.

After instaling the update for OS yesterday (saturday 7.10.2012) my macbook pro will not start. The instaling proses start but stopp after 2-3 minutes. I have started mayby 10 tims know but it stops every time. Help, its just a monts ago my iMac hard fail
Actually it sometimes gets a little further, the display will dim and the pointer will appear and then whoop it will turn off. if i do a verbose start up, it will finish all the steps, the white screen will appear and dim and then it will turn off.

My macbook pro does not print through my PC to my EPSON RX 500 after loading OS X 10.7.4. It shows on the print queue "error" However, it will print if I directly connect my laptop to this printer via the USB connection. Any ideas?
It's all about setting up what ever version of windows you have running on your pc to share the printer. If you still get stuck post in a windows forum for help.

My iphoto on my MacBook Pro will not let me import my photos from my canon t3i. It is blurred over both import all, and import selected showing that I cant choose those options. I've tried with the memory card and usb cord. Please help!

My MacBook Pro will not allow me to shut down my computer. Their seems to be a glitch in the iPhotos. It says it is still importing photos into iPhoto. It will not allow me to quit either.
You could always hold down the power button to force the MacBook to turn off. This is usually a last resort step though, but if nothing else is working and you are sure it isn't importing photos then you might consider it.
