Mail capability

I'm looking for some project management software to help me organize a project
I need to organize
1) email chains
2) contacts (I am working with about 10 people, I'd like to be able track progress with
indivduals, and know where I left off with a particular person. For example "Jerry is waiting for the Shot 8 storyboard".
3) progress/timeline / calendar
4) it's be cool if it also had a daily "to do", with reminders
most project software does fit the bill,
wondering if Mail would - or other suggestions
thanks
Steven
...you get the idea

Mail would not do much for you here. Contactizer might if there's no software package dedicated to the filmmaking process that would be better suited to the task.

  • Oracle 10g Express Edition E-Mail Capability?

    Hello all,
We plan to deploy Express Edition for a project. I wonder is there any limitation on Express Edition to send e-mail with PL/SQL? Would it be a problem?
    Thanks in advance...

    Hello,
Application Express (which is pre-installed in XE) include the APEX_MAIL package which can easily be used to send emails (note that it's for sending only...not for receiving).
The only 'big' limitatation at the moment with APEX_MAIL is that it doesn't currently support attachments, however APEX 3.1 which is just around the corner changes that (i.e. you will be able to send attachments).
For any more complex things, you can always drop down to UTL_MAIL, however APEX_MAIL should suit 99% of your requirements.
    Hope this helps,
    John.

  • Create PW-Protected Site for a Club w/ Roster and E-mail capability

I would like to create a site for a small club (50 members). It needs to be password-protected. I would like to have a roster (names, addresses, e-mail, etc.) that members could access and update. Then, I would like the members to be able to use this roster to e-mail individual selected members, or to e-mail a 'blast' to 'All'. Is it possible to set something like this up on iWeb? Thanks, david

I don't think so. You might have a look at the .Mac Groups feature.

  • Xcelsius e-mailing capability.

I want to E-mail reports from Xcelsius SWF file. Is it possible?
    Thank you very much!

    Hi Victor,
It's possible to email an Xcelsius SWF by using File > Export > Outlook.
Xcelsius does not have a native function to email generated reports, however.
I suppose it would be possible to use the Xcelsius SDK to write a custom connection to do something similar.  You could also use one of the interface connections, such as the External Interface Connection or the XML Data module, to do so.  This would require hard coding a JSP file or an HTML file, though.

  • E 72 GPS and E-mail problem after firmware upgrade...

Hi - to all the gurus out there,
    1. i upgraded my firmware to 31.023. Now My GPS (whether using Ovi Maps or Google Maps) locks only at home ( probably the place of my last GPS lock before the upgrade- my guess). Tried many times but it simply refuses to lock anywhere else.-- annoying - someone help please
    2. The mail client has become unbearably slow and doesnt update using 3G or GPRS anymore. I checked all access points selections and everything else in settings. In fact except for WLAN, its become a `Non e-mail capable` phone.
    3. Skype only lets me IM now??????? weird!!
4.Snaptu only logs in on WLAN.
    5. and last but not the least.. in the chat setup. the keyboard doesnt work anymore.
    waiting for some help
    thanks

Ok, Now the GPS seems to have resolved itself after I deselected `Network Assisted`, but initial lock time seems much longer. Maybe that was the problem.

  • E-Mailing Photos from iPhoto - Having trouble with resolution

I am having trouble with emailing pictures from i-photo. When I email pictures as attachments they end up being low resolution versions and the receiver can not print them. I can not figure out what sort of setting I must have set. Please help.

    MMVP
Welcome to the Apple user assistance forums
1 - how are you selecting and attaching the photos?
2 - what is the resolution of the photos in iPhoto?
3 - if you are using the iPhoto e-mail capability (recommended) you select a photo(s) and click mail - there you can choose actual, large, medium or small
4 - this creates an e-mail message in the e-mail client of your choice (iPhoto preferences) - if you are using Apple mail in the lower right hand corner under the e-mail there is a menu where you can set Actual, large, medium or small
Be sure that both selections are set the way you want them - if either is se tto small you will send a small (low resolutin) photo

  • Bcc Capability

In my Windows email application, I have the capability of putting multiple email recipients on the Bcc line. When they receive the email from me, it does not list others who received the same email from me.
In Mac's mail, I only have a To: and Cc: line. I don't have Bcc capability and other than sending myself a Bcc I don't see anything in the preferences that will add the Bcc line.
Is it possible to add Bcc line to my mailing capability?

    Hi there
When composing a new message you can add a BCC recipient. On the left hand side of the window there is a drop down menu with an arrow pointing down and 3 lines in it, click on this and select the Bcc Address Field.
    Hope this helps

  • Help!  I need to put an auto message on my email and it is not working!  Can someone tell me how to do this on Macbook Pro/Mail?

Can someone help me set up a vacation message on mail?  I tried the rule, but it did not work.

It's best not to rely on rules constructed in Mail, or any other mail client.  That can result in infinite mail loops (where your autoreply triggers someone else's autoreply, which triggers yours again, etc).  You should use whatever vacation mail capability is provided by the mail server.  Those are typically more robust, and have conditions that will prevent infinite mail loops from happening.  Of course, you should also think twice about using vacation messages at all, since they can reply to spam, which can cause all kinds of problems.

  • No outgoing mail verizon yahoo

I am using a new Mac Pro laptop (snow leopard and all latest updates installed) and using Apple mail via Verizon Yahoo. I have an account and my wife has a sub account. They are both set up identically except for user ID and passwords.  I was sending out mail on my account and then all of sudden I lost outgoing mail capability with my outgoing mail name showing it to be "offline". But both accounts were set to online. Able to receive mail okay and my wife's sub account receives and sends mail okay.
I had this same problem once before with my desktop G4 and Tiger. But corrected, but do not remember how I did it, but do not think I reinstalled mail. I tried deleting my account and creating a new account using same login and password without success. I went into yahoo and signed in (using the my same mail ID and password) and was able to send and receive mail on my account. Any ideas?

I sent out a mail message successfully today from wife's subaccount, but later on when I tried to send another my wife's outgoing mail name shows "offline" as mine does. So now neither accounts have outgoing mail capability.
I took a screenshot yesterday (when her subaccount was working okay) of my wife's outgoing preference panel that shows the outgoing ID and PW, now after not being able to send out mail, I took another screenshot and the password has disappeared. This is the same thing I observed when  I lost outgoing mail on my account. Putting in the password again and saving the preferences did not regain outgoing mail capability.
    Yesterday's screenshot below:

  • PUSH MAIL VS PUSH NOTIFICATION - BATTERY CONSUMPTION

I have a question. Today, we have the option to use PUSHMAIL application which uses APPLE PUSH NOTIFICATION SERVICES or to use PUSH MAIL CAPABLE EMAIL accounts such as Exchange, Yahoo or MSGPUSH.COM in order to get pushmail on the iphone.
Which is more BATTERY consuming? a push email account or and push notification application?
    Regards,
    Hernán

Alright boys and girls of the forum I think it's reasonably safe at this point to conclude that the whole battery drainage situation I've been having with the 2 iPhones at our office is caused by the push feature. With it turned off and the iPhones on an hourly fetch setup only 1/3 of the battery is used at the day end with moderate use.
It makes sense that push would drain significantly more power from the battery but still it doesn't make the situation less disappointing. The ideal iPhone would probably have to last longer with push enabled than it currently does but I'm sure that push is still a trade most people can do without when an hourly fetch is readily available.
    Many thanks for your contributions.

  • Can you help me get this blog posted on ALL possible parts of the website? Please read.

DUAL SIMM CARD CAPABILITY and WORLDFONE QUAD-BAND CAPABILITY.  This is the crux of the biscuit (as Frank Zappa once said).  Multiple SIMM-card quad-band world-phones (2 or more SIMM cards per phone AND cover the North American and Pan-Asian GSM bands) are what ALL the manufacturers (RIM, Apple, Nokia, Ericson, Motorola, etc.) PURPOSELY FAIL TO ADDRESS because they are under pressure from the service providers (AT&T, Verizon, etc, etc.) NOT TO OFFER THESE IN THE NORTH AMERICAN MARKET.  The reason is twofold.  First, for a phone to hold multiple SIMM chips simultaneously, it must inherently be UNLOCKED (where SIMM cards from any multiple providers can be inserted into the same phone simultaneously).  Second, the big service providers don't mind you having a quad-band worldphone, as long as they can bill you BIG $ for international roaming in foreign countries, they cannot milk you like this if you have a local SIMM card installed for that foreign country (ie: use the foreign SIMM card telephone number when making or receiving calls overseas in that particular country).  ALL THESE PHONE MANUFACTURERS ARE SOMEHOW IN THE POCKETS OF THE CELLULAR PROVIDERS NOT TO OFFER MULTIPLE SIMM-CARD CAPABLE WORLDBAND PHONES WITHIN THE NORTH AMERICAN MARKET.  There is a Chinese company called Jing Cheng that introduced the first integrated Dual SIMM chip worldband phone (model # JC 666s).  These were not internet or e-mail capable, but showed the western world what this is all about.  Thank our cellular providers AND our phone manufacturers for keeping the wool pulled over our eyes in North America.  Such dual SIMM card worldband phones have been available for YEARS in Germany, Australia, China, Japan, etc.  IT'S TIME ALL THE PHONE MANUFACTURERS UNDRESS AND SHOW WHOM THEY REALLY HAVE LOYALTY TO (the cellular providers OR their customers).

I quite simply don't know where to begin.   I guess at the beginning would be best.  This Community Support Forum is as the name implies, a forum for user to user support.  It is not a blogging site.  I imagine you made an error and thought you were posting to such a site of which you belong and post your blogs to.
As this is a forum I can only surmise that this is not a blog or a post to assist/support another member but rather a misguided rant.
I am now on my second Blackberry, both of which had a worldwide capability.  My first was the Blackberry Storm 9530, the Storm 1.  My current Blackberry is the 9550, the Storm 2.  Both were locked to my carrier (Verizon).  In anticipation of a trip abroad I had the 9530 unlocked by Verizon in order to avail myself of local SIMM cards during my travels.  A hospitalization has delayed the trip but prior to departure, Verizon will unlock my 9550.  There are any number of sites that will, for a fee, provide an unlock code for you.  Pay your money and take your chances.  Make sure you choose wisely.
Carriers are generally willing to do this for customers in good standing.  This, of course, begs the question of why a Blackberry (or any device) is locked to a specific carrier.  I do not know of anyone, who has paid full price for their phone Smart or otherwise.  Most device purchases are at steep discounts or rebates predicated on a contractual term of service with the retailer (carrier).  This how they recoup the cost of the discount.  Having the phone locked prevents someone from availing themselves of a heavily discounted device at a carrier's expense and immediately jumping ship to another carrier.  That lock combined with an Early Termination Fee "ETF" is what keeps the latest and greatest devices affordable for the vast majority of us.  It is not the best system but it works.
A dual SIMM capability on a phone with neither email or Internet access is well, quaint.  It is for lack of a better term, a phone.  I am not surprised given the Peoples Republic of China's support of freedom of information, that they have such a restricted device.  I want every bell and whistle that RIM can put on their product and with the 9550, that is what I have.
There is no grand conspiracy between the manufacturers and the carriers.  Perhaps, you might want to start a telecommunications industry conspiracy blog.  Perhaps you could use that wonderful Dual SIMM Chinese device to make posts to it.  Oh, that's right, no Internet access on it.

  • EPrint stopped working for HP LaserJet Pro 1415fnw

We had ePrint set up on our HP 1415fnw and today, the printer is no longer set up under my ePrint login and we cannot ePrint using the email address we had.
    I have:
    1. Reset the printer to factory defaults and set up wireless network printing again. We have set the IP manually and the printer prints just fine wirelessly.
    2. Installed the new firmware for the 1415
    3. Installed updated printer drivers.
    4. Powercycled the wifi-router and the Internet router.
I go to the HP Web Services tab and click "Connect" and I get "connection error. Make sure you are connected to the Internet."
The PC and printer are all connected and working fine on our wireless network. There are no ports blocked that we are aware of via our ISP.
As I said, it worked fine up until a while ago.
    I am open to suggestions...

2Expected availability late 2010. Requires an Internet connection to the printer. Feature works with any Internet- and e-mail-capable device and may require a firmware upgrade. For details, http://www.hp.com/go/ePrintCenter.

Does anyone know how I get the capability to send and recieve photos using the IPhone, I have the 8GB and it is far from full?

That would not work if I'm sending and receiving from a person without e-mail capability on their phone. I used to be able to take a picture with my phone and send it a friends cell phone, is that not an option?
