Mail iPad iCloud=OK / Mail Mac-iCloud=Not OK
After unchecked Mail from iCloud and Mail, Contacts & Calendars from System Preferences… I'm just allowed to send mails, not received.
And when I launch Mail on Mac these unchecked got checkeds.

"There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for account “MobileMe” or try again.
The server returned the error: The connection to the server “p01-imap.mail.me.com” on port 143 timed out."
I just wanna to get my mails but not syncing them with iCloud… I use iPad for that.

I got it. I unchecked it and check it and in "Mail, Contacts & Calendars", now it's OK. I just wanna Mail and Find my Mac in iCloud. I'm afraid of losing data syncing between devices... I'm don't know if I check Safari, it will be cool, I can export the bookmarks daily anyway. Now I just wanna delete three files dmg.txt on Mobile Documents and I don't have the 'permissions' to read them. 2.11 GB. I unchecked Documents and Data and nothing. Any ideas?

I'm not entirely sure what you are saying, but if those apps are crashing then have you tried toggling them 'off' and 'on' via Settings > iCloud ? And if that doesn't fix it then try closing them via the iPad's taskbar : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
You could also try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If it's a different problem ... ? -

Although it has worked well so far today i-photo on my Mac does not recognise when I plug in my Sony camera so I can't download the video I just made.
Sometimes this happens, because the camera is not properly charged. In that case connect the camera to a charger or use a card reader. -

Ok Apple users...Is there a way to delete e-mails on my Mac and not have to delete the same e-mails on my iPhone, and iPad...and vise-versa. I have the Cloud, and thought that everything would sync all of the time. If you know of a setting I need to adjust, please let me know.
Are you referring to @mac.com, @me.com or @icloud.com emails? Or some other email providers emails?
If the former, it should do that automatically. If the latter, no. iCloud does not (nor is it supposed to) sync non-Apple provided emails. -

That email address, appart from mine, appears in every single device I have, iphone, ipad, macair... When I sync it merges my personal data with hers (my daughter)...To fix this, one of you should migrate their devices to a new account. To migrate to a new account, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud), provide the password to turn off Find My iDevice and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data. If you have other iOS devices, you can just save the photos stream photos to the camera roll, delete the existing account, choose Delete from My iDevice (since the data is already in the other account), then sign into the new account. If you have a Mac that needs to change to the account, go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign out, choose Delete at all of the prompts, then sign back into the new account.
Once you are on separate accounts, you can each go to icloud.com and delete the other person's data from your account. -

First check that all your settings are correct, that notes syncing (mail and notes on a computer) is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the notes you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by checking in accounts on an iOS device, or the left side panel in mail on a computer), non iCloud notes will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your notes are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking notes syncing (mail and notes on a computer) in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling notes syncing. -

I simply ran iTunes, went to my iPad settings, Infos, then Synchronised mail accounts.
Same thing after on the iPhone, and voila!
Notes on the web interface of iCloud, in the Notes application on the iMac and on my iPhone and iPad are synchronised.

Is there a way to have iCloud NOT sync rules in Mountain Lion Mail?
My wife and I each have our own MacBook Pro on Mountain Lion and we share an iPad on iOS 6. We use OS X Mail as our mail client for our accounts on our ISP mail service. We have iCloud enabled on all three devices but we have Mail disabled on all three.
Every time either of us makes a change to a Mail rule on our MacBook, it is pushed to the other MacBook. But we need different rules since we have multiple mail accounts and have different interests in each of them. I finally noticed by clicking the little ? icon in the rules window that the rules are synced if you have Documents and Data selected in iCloud NOT Mail. We also use iWork on all three devices so we want Documents and Data enabled for sharing documents between the devices.
So is there a way to keep from screwing up each other's Mail rules without losing access to our iWork documents??? The only thing we have come up with is prefacing every rule name with our initials so for example my rule can file a message and hers can move it to Trash. But this is also a pain since you cannot sort the rules by name in the rules window.Hello Tom:

I've upgreded 2 of my 3 computers to Mountain Lion, and all seems fine on those 2 machines, but on my older Mac Pro which is not compatible with Mountain, I'm having a problem where the new mail count badge is not showing up either on the iCloud mail box or as part of my total in the dock count badge. New mail badges is showing up for my other mail boxes, just not iCloud. I've removed my iCloud inbox, and have re-enabled it and it's still not working. If I had the problem right at the time I installed Mountain Lion on my other 2 computers, I didn't notice it, so I don't think this problem is related to Mountain Lion on my other machines.

Regarding adding and deleting the System Drive from the Spotlight Privacy Tab...... I'm following your sequence, but when I come back to Spotlight Search in the menu bar it just works the same.... no mention of indexing. What's interesting is that "Mail" dosn't appear anywhere in search results when a keyword search is performed via spotlight.
Regarding the "enevelope Index Files" ..... I followed the instructions and quit and re-opened mail as instructed. When I re-opened Mail I selected "continue" and the program began to index the contents of mail for about 30 minutes. I thought that would would fix the issue, but it's still not working.
I've tried to compare the account setup from my IMAC which works fine to see if I have something setup wrong in the account, but everything looks the same.
I guess I can try to re-index again? Don't know what else to do?

Why does iCloud not sync mail rules?
This seems like a no brainer. When I view my email on my Iphone, I see all my Spam, which would already be dispatched to the Junk box on my desktop, had I looked there first. Why does iCloud not sync my Mail rules, and is there a solution for this?
It is not Mac to Mac.
Why not look up iCloud support, it was never offered as anything outside iOS 5 supported devices.

To ensure my old iPhon4 was backed up i...
1. Deleted the iPhone4 backup from iTunes prefs(devices)
2. I then sycnched the iPhone4 to get a new backup of the old Phone.
I then installed my new iPhone5 from the fresh backup of the old iPhone4
This way i got my new iPhone5 exactly as my old iPhone4
Screens all looked the same, EVERYTHING the same.
Some minor adjustments were needed afterwards.

I get "mail server does not recognize your Apple ID and password" when I try to share a picture via email in iPhoto. My iCloud email works ok otherwise. I have checked all mail settings for ID and password.
In the iPhoto preferences ==> accounts delete the account and re-enter it - sometimes that resolves this
Or IMHO the best long term solution is to set Apple Mail as the iPhoto e-mail client in the iPhoto preferences and use it - it has a number of advatages and has fewer problems

You have to turn ON what you want to synchronize in Settings > iCloud on your iPad and on your Mac.
