Domain = 'DINFO'.
in tab 'Value Range' , we add a new record.

    We are required to chage the sequence of customer master record fields that are available under different tabs of 'General Data', 'Company Code Data' and Sales Area Data.
    Our client requirement is to place all mandatory fields in the first screen of customer master record. Here the intention is to save the user time instead going and clicking multiple tabs/screens to fill information on only one or two tabs.     Step 1: Take help of a FI guy and:
    The fields can be suppressed by configuring through Financial accounting > Business Partners > Customers > Account groups.
    Step2 : The challenge inyou project is to have a single tab with the allowed fields
    A technical guy can only help you out on this . Again This would be a huge effort since first you need to change the code for customer master. As customer master is a source of data for various documents in SD , at each place you will have to do changes in th code...I don't think it is feasible.
    Instead of doing this , create an external interface for transferring the value to SAP through BAPI. this would involve integration and may be as per defined SAP standards you can use CSV files or XML files for the integration process.
    This would be a better option than fiddling with SAP system

    You can set up a temporary button (or link, bookmark, etc.) and add the following JavaScript action:
    // Mouse Up script for a temporary button (or bookmark, etc.)
    // Change the font and font size for all text fields in this document

    It also sets the font size, but you can remove that line if you don't need to do that.

    Tax Category in Account Master Record
    Determines whether the following apply to the G/L account:
    Is it tax-relevant?
    Is it a tax account?
    Is it a tax-relevant G/L account?
    Use
    Tax-relevant account?
    You decide whether you want to use the account for tax-relevant postings. If not, leave the field blank.
    Tax account?
    You decide whether you want to use the account exclusively for posting taxes.
    Define the type of tax on sales and purchases you want to use the account for:
    < Input tax account
    < Output tax account
    ">" and "<" are only supported for tax accounts.
    Use the proposed keys from the possible entries help.
    Tax-relevant G/L account?
    You decide whether you want to use the account as a G/L account to which you make tax-relevant postings.
    Define the tax code which can be used to post to the account. When posting to this account, the system then checks whether the tax code in the line item is permitted for this account.
    This is useful if you always post to this account using the same tax rate. When you post to this account, the tax code is defaulted and can no longer be changed (for example, the account Domestic trip costs taxed flat rate in Germany).
    If you only want to carry out a flat-rate check for the tax category, choose one of the following special characters:
    + Only output tax permitted
    - Only input tax permitted
    All tax types permitted
    If the G/L account is then posted to, you must enter a tax code. This does not apply if you also permit postings without tax code to the G/L account and use your own code instead.

    Go to this path: Spro>Financial Accounting>Account Receivable & Account Payable>Customer Accounts>Master Data>Preparations for Creating Customer Master Data>Define Account Groups with Screen Layout (Customers)
    Double Click on Your Group, Then Click on Company code Data under Field Status, Then Double click on Account Management, That screen you will find the Reconcilation Account, Select Requred Entry.
    now it will coming Customer master.

  • FI-AA and the Automatic Creation of Equipment Master Records

    Our client is currently on SAP R/3 4.7E and per SAP Notes 176056, 370884, 361520, releases above 4.6B should be able to automatically create an equipment resord master record from within FI-AA.  Configuration shows that undaer FI-AA Master Data the integration should be possible, but we have tested and cannot get it to work.  No equipment record is ever created. 
    Has anyone been successful in performing this function?
    What are we missing?

    Hi,
    Simple,
    1. Go to AOLK and check which tab layout is assigned to your asset class, to transaction group 'Others'.
    2. Go to AOLA select layout you found out at 1st step, then double click on 'Tab Page Titles'.
    3. Select tab page Allocations and click on position group on tab pages.
    4. Click on new entries and insert 'S0013', save.
    after doing this you will be able to find 'equipment' box under allocation.
    and regarding asset synchronization..
    Asset Accounting --> Master Data --> Automatic Creation of Equipment Master -> Specify Conditions for Synchronization of Master Data
    In this step, under the box 'Edit Asset Master Record' mention,
    Create Equipment                 2 Direct Synchronization after saving
    Change Equipment               2 Direct Synchronization after saving
    Make sure you do not have any other field 'required' in equipment creation and not assigned to asset field.
    After doing this you should be able to get equipment created automatically..

  • Zfield is not apearing in the batch input session ( Customer Master Record)

    We have added one Z field in the customer master record (sales are tab). But this Z table not appear in the Batch Input session(SM35). My user want to update this field for all the customers at once, but this Z field not appearing even in MASS transaction.
    For your information, we have appended the KNVV table. Can any one of you give some suggestions on this.

    It's rather easy via a custom ABAP program to wait for the end of a batch input session. Some codes were already pubilshed (look whole SCN for APQI-QSTATE).
    What you can do is to select the sessions to be started via this custom program, and it will submit a job which will run in an endless loop until the last session is released. It might use a WAIT UP TO X SECONDS to sleep for a few seconds between each scan of session status.

    Hi Kavitha,
    "Inactive Materials"  means those materials, marked for deletion ?
    if yes then there is a field in MARA table MARA-LVORM.
    you can use start routine in transformation to delete material where MARA-LVORM = 'D', while data loading.
    Check your data source (0MATERIAL_ATTR) in RSA6, if LVORM is hidden then unhide.

  • Vendor Master Record: Tax Number 1 Field

    Hi Everyone,
    For some reason, when you enter XK01 or XK02 for creation or change of vendor master record, Tax Number 1 within the Control Tab is visible and able to be input.  However, when displaying the vendor master record through XK03, the field is not visible.  Reviewing the field options for vendor master record did not reveal anything to me.  Any ideas why?

    SPRO>Financial Accounting  or Financial Accounting (New)>Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable>Vendor Accounts>Master Data>Preparations for Creating Vendor Master Data>Define Screen Layout per Activity (Vendors)
    click on Display Vendor(Centrally) and Double click on Genral Data and Double click on Central
    check for Tax code field,its may be Suppressed

    Can you explain how I can enable Business Area field in Asset Master Record becz it needs be change.How I can acheive this becz it is coming in disabled mode.

    Once u ticked the check box save it.Now u can change these field in main asset master record and if u have ticked Su no also then in sub asset master record also.Make sure filed status is optional.
    Now u go to AS02 if u want to change the filed for main asset or sub asset

  • Restrict the creation of customer master records at sales area level

    I know that you can supress fields at the company code and sales area level in customer master, but, is there a way in configuration to restrict the creation of a customer master record at the company code and sales area levels?  Only the general data level is needed for this customer account group. 
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Create the Customer Master without entering the Company Code and sales Area. The system will allow and ask you to fill only the General Data.
    The other way is that Create a Account Group and suppress its all Fields of Accounting View and Sales Area View, so that for that account group you will have to maitain only the General view.

    Hello,
    You have misunderstood the concept of Parameter ID.
    A field can be filled with proposed values from SAP memory using a parameter ID for that particular user. Normally in Finance, you can keep Company Code, Controlling Area etc. can ke kept as default. You find the Parameter tab in User Master Record in SU01.
    I am afraid that you want to populate the bank details in vendor master record. These fields are very critical for all types of payment. You should double make sure that you are entering the correct bank details in the vendor master record. If you do not fill any of these details, your BACS and CHAPS (DME) payments would get failed.
    If your client do not have details of bank information, the same can be filled later by writing a LSMW.

  • Can the fields grow with the section expanding?

    Can the fields grow with the section expanding?There are several fields in one section of my report, all the fields are formatted with "Can Grow" checked and bottom border showed. In design mode, all the bottom borders stick to the bottom of the section. However, when print, the section may expand as some fields grow, but the rest fields can not expand automaticly with the section, so the bottom borders will not be at the same height as before. How can I deal with it? Is there any option about this?
    Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated

    One thought I have is to insert another section just below the one where the growing fields are and put a single line or individual lines under those fields. Move it up to the top of that new section and move the break between the existing section and the newly added one tight up against the bottom of the 'can grow' fields.
    Another possiblity lies in the fact that the "Can Grow" option has a formula attached to it. I don't know if it will work or not but maybe an If/Then formula could tell field B to grow if field A grows. I've never tried that but it may be possible. I'd think the first suggestion would be the one to try first.

  • How to refernce the field in the cross-tab report

    I'm trying to refer to the field in the cross-tab report using GridRowColumnValue function.
    The field name in formulas is DevelopmentTracking_SELECT.Completed, so I'm trying to refer like this:
    GridRowColumnValue("DevelopmentTracking_SELECT.Completed")
    I'm getting:
    "This is not the name of a grid group for the field being formatted."
    I've tried different way - gave the name of the field, for instance, or used the name form the Cross-tab expert - Max of DevelopmentTracking_SELECT.Completed, or simply use "Completed" - nothing worked.
    I see the possible cause for it. DevelopmentTracking_SELECT.Completed is not a row or column name, in the Cross-tab expert this is a Summarized field. How to reference the field like this correctly?

    ROW: Product Name
    COLUMN:  Anticipated Date, Completed
    SUMMARIZED FIELDS: Product Stage
    Anyhow try to move the Completed field above the Anticipated Date in SUMMARIZED FIELDS by clicking up arrow.
    Now right click on the field Completed go to format field-->write the suppress condition like this

    Now right click on the Anticipated Date field and go to font and write the condition for color like this
