Major problem with the BLOG COMMENT SYSTEM - Please advice.

Hi there!
I am having some trouble with the way the added Blog comments system appears on my iWeb created site's blog section. The "Add a comment" etc, always get pushed down into the black browser background everytime a new comment gets added rather then the page background actually expanding WITH the added comments and being a part of the page background. Below you'll find a pic of the phenomenon...
Please help, is it supposed to be like this and i'm doing something wrong or is it a bug in the software?
I have to add more footer height to the page for every comment that someone will leave me on the blog, otherwise the comments will end up outside the page.
The page is not yet live and ready but it's like this with all major browsers and platforms when checking...FF, Safari, IE - Mac and PC...
So, the pics...the first pic is of how it looks inside the iWeb software and is how it should look obviously..the second...well, is how it looks when actually published. It's driving me crazy! I don't want to set the footer height to 1000 to prepare the pages for future comments as it looks real bad. The page should expand with the added comments.

Do you have an Arabic version of Firefox installed which isn't displaying the vowelization correctly, or are you trying to read it using an English language version?

Check System Preferences > Sound > Output
Make sure the correct device is selected.

The iPhone warranty is not international. If you bought it in the US you can only get service in the US. You will need to take it in to an Apple store in the US.

I am having major problems with the latest update for my itunes!

I am having problems with the latest update for itunes, it says 'itunes has an invalid signature'. I have completely uninstalled itunes but now it wont download at all. Have tried downloading it 4 times tonight already. Anyone know how to get it to download? Or what to do?

That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

Problem with the Oracle comments syntax

Dear All members of Oracle forum,
The problem is select query is executing twice in my script, eventhough i have written only one. hear u can see what i did.
1. create one .sql file with the below content.
select sysdate from dual;
/*its a comment */
select sysdate from dual;
2. goto Oracle sql*plus editor and execute the above .sql file.
3. Ideally it should show the date output only 2 times. But, if you run it, it will show thrise(3 times).
4. but if we modify the above .sql file like below, it will show the date only tice(2 times).
select sysdate from dual;
/* its a comment */
select sysdate from dual;
the difference between the twwo scripts is, i have given one space betwen first '*' sysmbol and the first word of the comment (i,e its word).
Can somebody explain what Oracle is doing in first case, and why it is printing 3 times, eventhough the select query is only twice.

Its because there is no space after /* in your code. Hence its consider / to execute the previous statement.

Problems with the Stanford Reseach Systems DS345 Function Generator

I'm writing a labview program that will allow operation of the Stanford Reseach Systems DS345 Function Generator. The problem that I'm having is in the amplitude calculation. The way the driver finds the amplitude is by recieving an array of what are essentially y-coordiantes (on a cartesian graph system), finding the max and min of the array, and subtracting them.
This is where the problem lies. I've designed my program so I can type in an equation, see the graph of this equation, and send the y values into a the subvi provided by the driver. This subvi is the one that finds the amplitude...etc and sends it to the oscilliscope. However, when I use a formula for something as simple as sin(x), it caclulates the amplitude as 2. This is because the max/min values of sin(x) are 1 and -1. So the function generator reads in an amplitude of 2. This amplitude of 2 results in a sine wave that oscillates between 2 and -2. Obviously, this is not what I'm looking for. I know by dividing the sine wave coordiantes by 2, or just using the max/min value to be sent to the function generator as the amplitude will work in this case, but not for all cases (ex: sin(x)*e^(-3x). I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to fix this amplitude problem for all cases.
In addition to having this sine function, I wrote a subvi that essentially generates a series of pulses depending on the user preferences. It's relativly complicated to explain how it works, but it just sends an array of y-coordinates (similar to above, and they are sent to the same subvi to be sent to the function generator). This array is the one that truly puzzles me.
For example, I have a single pulse, with height 5. The y array is 10 places big. At index 0 to 3, the y value is 0. At 4 to 6, the value is 5. And from index 7 to 9, the index is zero again (Imagine a pulse "_|-|_" , it may help understand this).
I send this array of 10 places to the same subvi as the one described in the sine function earlier. I would expect the amplitude to go in as five (max - min), and it does. However, when determining the actual value from the oscilliscope, it turns out to be 10.8 peak to peak voltage. The values range from -.8 volts to 10 volts. I can't imagine why they do not range from 0 to five as specified in the array which is sent.

I am taking these measurments using the measurment and automation explorer test function. I set my range on all channels to 0-8khz and Have been inputing no more than 8khz. What leads me to believe I have a software or config problem is that I sent in a module to NI for repair and this is the brand new one they sent me back. While testing this module, I also have a 1102 module and 1124 module on the scxi-1000 chasis and both of those are working as specified. I also moved the 1126 module to slot 1 and ran it that way as well when I replaced the chasis.

That's not a good start for the backup start hints of the blog.
Issue here is that SAP is still updating and fixing and changing the HANA database (rev.20 and higher is still rampup - so this is what is expected). In such case it is difficult (or maybe impossible) to write blog that would be valid over longer period of time.
1. If I try to execute

259: invalid table name: DUAL( used schemas: schemaName , defaultSchemaName SYSTEM): line 1 col 20 (at pos 19) SQLSTATE: HY000.
The error is complaining that table dual is not present in you default schema SYSTEM. Table dual used to be in schema SYS in older revisions but now I can confirm that since rev.20 it is gone. There is table DUMMY which is having similar purpose but when I try to make query against this table i got error "Segmentation fault". So this is either error during upgrade, during backup/restore or it is now feature that is not working as intended.
2. If I try to execute
create user backop identified by Aa12345678
I got the error
257: sql syntax error: line 1 col 20 (at pos 20) SQLSTATE: HY000
Here SAP changed the syntax - now it is "create user backop password Aa12345678"

Major Problem with Mac OS 10.4 Please Help

Hey guys
OSX froze when I was on Firefox. The cursor moved onscreen when I moved the mouse, but clicking on anything yielded no results. I couldn't force quit, use the apple menu, or even open other programs. So I turned off the computer and turned it back on. Even after doing this, clicking on different things still does nothing. I don't know how I can fix this problem without opening any programs!!
On a side note, I recently installed Windows XP Pro with Boot Camp. This might have something to do with the problem.
I'd really appreciate any advice on what I can do.

Sounds like disk/directory corruption and you need to run Disk Utililty to check & repair.
Put the DVD in the machine and restart holding down "C". This should boot from the DVD. After answering the language don't choose an installation but go to the Utilities menu at the top of the screen. From there Disk Utility can be selected. Run verify and see what messsaged come up.
Another option is to start by pressing shift. This loads minimal drivers and also (I think) runs a file system check in the process. If it starts you can run disk utility from there but you can only repair the startup volume (disk) when booted from the DVD.

If Vista fail to boot, Toshiba Recovery in the hidden partition WinRE ( eisa configuration) offer to repair and use either the DVD we have burn or the directory HDDRecovery in the partition E: to repair.
My question is if I don't have the DVD (or if I lost it) :
Can I repartition my HDD (not the Recovery partition but enlarge the partition C: en reduce the partition E:) without causing problems of recovery ?
In other terms will the Recovery partition at boot update the position of recovery files in E:
And if it works, can I simply copy-paste the HDDRecovery directory from E: to C: and then to E: while I format E:

I think you mixed up something...
The hidden Windows partition (Recovery Environment) has nothing to do with the Toshiba recovery disk or HDD recovery procedure. This is a Windows feature that is on all PCs and notebooks available so my suggestion is you read this good Wikipedia article about this:

The HDD recovery files are stored on the second partition of the HDD in the folder HDDRecovery. So if you use the HDD recovery function only the first partition will be formatted and you can only use this feature if you have access to the advanced boot menu. If you dont have it you must use the Toshiba recovery disk because the disk formats the whole HDD and restore the factory settings of the notebook (the HDD recovery too but only with the first partition).
You can change the partition size of both partitions but there should be enough free space on both partitions. Otherwise the HDD recovery does maybe not work.

Problems with the forums -- Oracle personnel please escalate

I'm sure many have posted this somewhere, but in case they haven't -- the forums aren't rendering code snippets, which looks like xml, properly. In some cases, its eliminating them altogether, in others, it cuts out big chunks, in others it replaces some xml markup with smilies. The result is that its rendering tons of posts and information in them as totally useless.
If I had to guess, this is because the forums aren't rendering using rawText or something like this, but at the very least, until the problem can be totally fixed, turn off smilies. Smilies are nice, but next to code which document answers, they are unimportant.

I understand your personal plight, and I thank you for passing on the information as you were told. But what I'm talking about is kind of big-picture stuff, pertaining to Oracle as a whole. It encompasses not only the issue of the new forums, but support of any product, be it on forums or metalink, documentation, examples, etc. The frustration coming out that I see seems to have a central theme: Oracle having a "fend for yourself" mentality to their customers.
Someone posts on the forums, can't get an answer, so they are told "these are for user communication". Then they are told "go post a tar". Then they post a tar and are sent a document they've already read. Then others have said that tars won't address how-tos. Then the JDev forums have problems, and users give feedback, and the response is "go post this somewhere else.".
This looks like continually passing the buck, propagating an internal bureaucracy to for users to have to understand how to navigate, and forcing upon your users the responsibility for facilitating communication within Oracle. I think Oracle really needs to work on putting themselves in the shoes of their customers, and change the self-centric attitude. I highly doubt that Oracle treats their customers with respect to accounts receivable with the same apparent lethargy they treat customers with respect to support.

My first major problem with the iPod Touch.

I have a problem with my 2nd Generation (jailbroken) iPod Touch. It has been stuck on a white screen (presumably the white screen of death) for hours.
Now if you're still reading this, you're still interested in helping me with this problem... So I'll go into more detail. I have NEVER dropped the iPod, nor given it any water damage. I was walking around a store today with it in my pocket; I took it out of my pocket and noticed it had a blank white screen. So I messed around with the power/home buttons for a while, and after maybe 10 minutes, everything was fixed. I was back on my home screen and everything was well. Maybe 15 minutes later, it was back on the white screen. It has been stuck on this white screen all day. I came home a little while ago and plugged it into the computer. At first, it didn't even recognize the iPod (nor did my iMac recognize it). Later, it magically popped into the iTunes window and I quickly restored it. It just finished restoring, but the white screen of death is still there... Here's the weird part: the iPod still functions perfectly. I can tell this because I can slide my finger where the "slide to unlock" would be, and I can hear the unlock sound. I can also press the sleep button and I hear the "lock" sound... I'm a technology nerd, but this has totally mystified me. Could it be the wires going from the hardware to the screen? Or is it software related? (based on the facts above, it's obviously not because of the jailbreak. For what it's worth, I probably won't jailbreak the iPod again... It's not really worth it.)

yesterday I got the msi gt70 I ordered in the mail everything is working good accept one thing.
whenever I try to install an app (no matter what kind, I tried solitaire and Skype) the app is going up and immediately shuts down nothing happens.

I have the exact same problem in my GT70-0ND-447 with Windows 8 SL x64.
Skype, Ebay and some other Metro style applications does not work.
When I start the application startup screen appears, and then almost immediately closes.
Applications can be seen in the drop down list on the left, but they do not work. In the system log I see a message "The server not register with App DCOM within the required timeout" (error 10010).
Event for Ebay under Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational: "Activation of the app eBayInc.eBay_1618n3s9xq8tw!App for the Windows.Launch contract failed with error: The app didn't start." (error 5961).
I wrote to support. Waiting...
Please help!
