I see from the crash log that you have FCP 10.1.3 and you are running yosemite.
MotionVFX recommends the following:
go into /Library/Plug-ins/FxPlug/ and find the m<type>Generator (where <type> represents Object for mObject, and I'm assuming Logo)
(example)
Double click on this icon and it will launch and close immediately.
MotionVFX says that will fix FCPX and Motion's recognition of the "registration" of the software.
What worked for me was to re-install the original download I received and all updates to bring it back up to the latest version. (if you are not running the absolute latest version(s) of mLogo, then you need to see to that.)
I also had to repair permissions to all the mObject projects/templates that came with the software. Installing Yosemite bashed all of them (mObject plugins) assigning them all to a different user account. Check to see if the permissions are correct by selecting one of the templates and type command-i to Get Info. Check for the user at the bottom. If you see a problem, go to the top folder (Titles, Generators) and Get Info those, unlock them, and from the drop down gear menu at the bottom select Apply to enclosed items...  (the permissions should still be correct in those and This will overwrite the changed permissions on the mXXXX plugins.  If you don't have multiple user accounts on your machine, this will probably not be an issue.

  • I lost my Download Stacks option. Now it is just a Download folder. Need to find out how to get the Download Stacks option back. Previous answers to this question don't make any sense to me. Please help in explicit detail. PS I'm using Mountain Lion.

Need to know how to get it back to its original Download Stack. Previous answers to this questionin Apple Support just don't make any sense to me. I'd appreciate explicit directions on how to restore this feature. Currently it's just a Download folder... must have accidently poofed it away.
    Help!

And if what WZZZ suggests doesn't work (and hopefully it will) move the file name below to the desktop, log out or restart and the Dock preferences with its defaults should be recreated. You'll need to re-configure it as you like it:
    com.apple.dock.plist
It's located: in Finder hold the Alt/Option key and from the Go menu select Library>Preferences.
If it fixes things, delete the file on your desktop.

  • How do I get my old Foxfire layout back, because I can not find any where to click that makes any sense. Really bad design, none functional with out some very indepth information to mmove me through it. Very bad design.

I have Vista for an OS, I was running Foxfire 3.4 when it started to freeze after opening the internet the first time and forced me to open the internet again to have function. The first one could not be interacted with at all, not even to close it.
I loaded Foxfire 4 and now can not even understand the layout. Nothing makes any sense at all. Where are all the normal features? Where do my open in new tab s go and how the hell do I get to them? I am too frustrated to even accept the new interface. I want the old interface back.

There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:

  • How does this make any sense??

My husband gets the three bureao FICO subscription....this is on his credit report under "negative factors" HOW does this make ANY sense?!? It has "too many credit accounts with balances" as a negative factor...he has one credit card.... You have too many credit accounts with balances.EquifaxThe FICO® Score considers the number of accounts on a credit report showing a balance.Generally speaking, carrying fewer accounts with balances is considered less risky. For credit cards , your credit report may still show a balance on those cards - even if they are paid off in full each month. The total balance on the last statement is generally the amount that is shown on a credit report. NUMBER OF YOUR ACCOUNTS CARRYING A BALANCE Equifax1 accountFICO High Achievers have an average of 3 credit accounts carrying a balance.

I think they're trying to say that he doesn't have enough accounts and with only one reporting (with a balance of course), that's their common answer.

  • Will it make any sense to create materialized view on top of a MOLAP cube?

    Hi,
We have developed few MOLAP cubes for our reporting environment.
Now we are planning to create materialized with query rewrite enabled for faster performance?
Is this a correct approach? Will it make any sense? I mean will i get any performance improvement if i create MV on top of a MOLAP cube?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Padmanabh

Adding a rewrite MV does not change the raw performance of a cube. The only reason to add one is if you want to write your SQL queries against the base relational tables and have the database rewrite your queries against the cube. If you are able to query the cube views directly, then there is no particular benefit to a rewrite MV.
Adding a refresh-only MV does have benefits even if your queries use the cube views. A refresh-only MV tracks the staleness of the cube and lets you run 'fast' refreshes, which can be useful if you are only modifiying a handful of rows in your fact table.

  • It doesn't make any sense (trouble adding new songs/podcasts)

    Hi all
When I add new songs to my Ipod shuffle, some will play, some won't. When I try to add some podcasts, I can't add them directly by dragging and dropping, so I had to create a new playlist where I can add some new podcasts. And some will play, and some won't.
By the way, I can't see a whole list of files "inside" the ipod. Instead, I see them in two separated screens.
    OS: Windows XP
All podcasts and songs are ok, they can be listened to when played on iTunes
Already changed options for podcasts, so they will play when playing in random order.
iPod shows up in iTunes when pluged in
Used apple stuff for some time now.
I used a ipod shuffle 2nd gen for some time and no problem at all...
    thanks in advance.
This whole things it has been doing my head in for the last two days...
PS: And sometimes it only plays podcasts. And sometimes only music and no trace of podcasts. As I said... it doesn't make any sense...

PS 2nd: Tried again, now with two podcasts (ok to play random) and one song. Only can listed to the song. No idea why it doesn't play the podcasts.
    Help anyone?
    Thanks again

well, it seems that I have found the solution (i read somewhere, not already checked)
Since ipod shuffle 3G, you have to add podcasts to a playing list, otherwise you can't listen to them.
If I get it solved, I will write here for the next who doesn't receive much help from Apple and has to google the solution.

I can download photos to my computer via my Ipod Touch but not a video of 833mb yet I can send it to my FB account on the same said device, does this make any sense?

    See:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
Do y have XP? if so see that topic in the above link,
Can you go to My Computer>iPod>DCIM folder and copy it from there?
Windows XP can't import video files larger than 500 MB using Camera and Scanner Wizard. You can transfer these files from your device by selecting them in My Computer and dragging or copying the files to your computer's hard drive.

  • Polipo wiki page doesnt make any sense to me, please help?

Im trying to follow the wiki page to set up polipo but this page is completely confusing.
    First it says
While other daemons start as root and drop priviledges as soon as possible, polipo runs as the user that invoked it. If polipo is invoked from /etc/rc.d/polipo, change the invokation line from
    /usr/bin/$DAEMON $ARGS >/dev/null 2>&1
    to
    su -c "/usr/bin/$DAEMON $ARGS" -s /bin/sh polipo >/dev/null 2>&1
It is then also necessary to change ownership and/or permissions of several files and directories written by polipo:
    * the log file /var/log/polipo. Although a better choice is to create a directory /var/log/polipo owned by the designated user and set polipo's log file to /var/log/polipo/polipo.log via the logFile variable in the config file.
    * the pid file at /var/run/polipo/polipo.pid and the directory that hosts it
    * the cache directory /var/cache/polipo and all of the contained files
Then a bit further down it says
Polipo can also run without super user privileges. To do so, first copy /etc/polipo/config.sample to a suitable directory:
    $ cp /etc/polipo/config.sample ~/.poliporc
Edit it so that it points at a writable location, instead of /var/cache/polipo:
    # Uncomment this if you want to put the on-disk cache in a
    # non-standard location:
    diskCacheRoot = "~/.polipo-cache/"
    Create the cache directory:
    $ mkdir ~/.polipo-cache
Finally, launch Polipo with the new configuration:
    $ polipo -c ~/.poliporc
Im so confused right now. Which one am I supposed to follow?

What would you prefer? "tjwoosta sucks" or "tjwoosta seems unfamiliar with the forum etiquette"?
"polipo wiki page sucks" seems pretty damn informative to me, considering that my problem is with the polipo wiki page being confusing.
If I were being childish I would post unhelpful messages in other peoples threads because I have too much time on my hands.
It seems to me that you do not understand  the instructions on the wiki page.
It is, the way I read it, very clear.
You CAN run polipo from /etc/rc.d but it will run as root. However, it is clearly stated that "Polipo should run as an unpriviledged user" (emphasis added by me) and as a consequence you are guided to configure polipo to run as such.
Just to make sure the directions work I set polipo EXACTLY as directed and it works.
I think that if you follow the instructions you will find the same.
It tells you to modify  /etc/rc.d/polipo to run as unprivelaged user polipo. Doesnt that make the second part about configuring as a regular user redundant?
Dont restrict yourself to the Arch wiki - it's good, but not authoritative. Have a look around for other relevant docs, ideally prepared by the polipo devs themselves. Get in touch with other polipo users (on any distro) and seek clarification that way.
When you have found what you are looking for, and successfully set up your polipo install, come back to the wiki and make any necessary changes.
    Thanks, I think I will

  • My firefox browser closes when loading any page without a crash report

My broswer keeps closing when loading. No crash report pops up, it just takes me to the "well this is embarrassing..." page that asks if I want to restore, to which no matter which option I pick it keeps closing on me.

clearing cache, and cookies only removes the cookies and clears the

It doesn't particularly look like a RAM problem; were the crashes prior to upgrading the RAM similar?
Where did you purchase the RAM?
The panic log doesn't indicate it was cause by any third-party software, so it is likely hardware. RAM is often the most likely hardware problem, but as I mentioned, I'm not sure that panic looks like a RAM problem.
    You can try these things:
Reset NVRAM: How to Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
    Reinstall OS X
Take it to an Apple Store or service center and have it tested.

  • Compile errors that don't make any sense

After spending a day coding, I did something to cause my project file to explode with errors. When I revert everything back to a known working version on source control I still get the same errors. I've tried everything I can think of to fix this. I started this problem while fixing a simple compile warning. I've made sure all the frameworks are included correctly. I feel it must be a project setting thats causing these problems. The GLSprite demo still compiles fine, but no matter how far back I go on source control my project file explodes with the same 121 errors. I'm not sure what I could of changed that won't go away with reverting. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I guess my next attempt will be uninstalling XCode.

    Hi Adam -
Can we assume your source code control doesn't include the .xcodeproj file? Did you backup the entire project folder at any point? I'm guessing probably not or you would have tried the backup folder by now.
So to review, are you saying that these compile errors are only showing up in your current project? In addition to GLSprite, can we assume you can compile any of the New Project templates?
Is the behavior the same when you switch between Debug and Release? Simulator and Device? iPhone OS 3.0 and iPhone 2.x? I assume you've tried Build->Clean All Targets, Xcode->Quit Xcode, and restarting your Mac.
There's a long list of other things we could check, but if it's only this one project that's broken, I would recommend starting a new project and moving all your source code into the new project. I had to do this once with a nearly complete app because of a similar, mysterious disintegration of my project. Despite my frustration at being unable to isolate the cause, the process went smoothly and took less than two hours. I could have worked faster, but I was trying to rebuild and run at various stages to be sure the project was still clean. I would recommend this, even if you need to make some stub classes to get a subset of the project to link.
Backing all your files into a new project is strong medicine, but it's likely to work. A re-install of the SDK is no day at the beach either, since you need to carefully clean out the previous installation. If you make a mistake in the cleanup, the new installation may fail, leaving you with two problems: a broken project plus a broken environment.
Of course if I misunderstood, and you can't even compile a template now, a re-install might be the only choice.
Hope some part of the above is helpful!
    \- Ray

  • Does the 4th GB of RAM makes any senses in the nem MacBook Series?

Risking to start a neverending troll, and risking, the topic was discussed in exteso earlier, I have to admitt that I am a little bit ****** about a company that merchendizes computers with larger RAM-possibilities than the CPU can handle (to my knowlwedge also RAM doesnt grow on the floor for free...). And in particular, have their local dealer to sell those 4GBs w/o mentioning this limitation (Dataquest company Zurich Switzerland). I actually was so noobish, that i have built in 4GB of RAM in my Dual 2.16 17" 3 months ago, unfortuneately it went broken yesterday, so i wont be able to do any checks myself. The following english statement of Apple dates to October 26, 2006, so maybe it was kinda a 'childhood sickness' that has be fixed in the meantime, and my investement in the 4th MB wasnt for nothing.
What makes me more suspicious is the fact that in the german translation of the topic, which dates to the June 07, 2007, this limitation to 3GB RAM for MacBook Pro (with 4 built in) is still mentioned. Well, because my poor Dual did only survive 3 monthes (dont let em drop on concret floors, Steve Jobs wont give u a new one, although he argued, the comp would survive the drop w/o any scratch...) i need a new one and i wanna be informed about the actual situation at the RAM's front best.
*Does anybody know, do the newest models of MacBooks not only accept 4GBs of RAM, but can they also access them all?*
+The MacBook Pro (15-inch Core 2 Duo) and MacBook Pro (17-inch Core 2 Duo) notebooks have two SDRAM slots in the bottom of the computer, and they come with at least 1 GB DDR2 SDRAM installed into the bottom slot.+
+Although these notebooks will accept up to a 2 GB SO-DIMM in each of the two memory slots, the MacBook Pro will only support 3 GB total memory. If you want to maximize the amount of SDRAM in your computer, install a 2 GB SO-DIMM in one slot and a 1GB SO-DIMM in the other.+
+You can use Small-Outline Dual Inline Memory Modules (SO-DIMMS) that meet all of these criteria:+
    PC2-5300
    unbuffered
    nonparity
    200-pin
    +667 MHz+
    +DDR2 SDRAM+
+You can use RAM module sizes of 1 GB or 2GB in the top or bottom slots.+
+DIMMs with any of the following features are not supported in the MacBook Pro (Core 2 Duo) notebooks: registers or buffers, PLLs, ECC, parity, or EDO RAM.+
+Note: If you do install a 2 GB SO-DIMM in both the bottom and top memory slots of the notebook, the About This Mac window and Apple System Profiler will both show that you have 4 GB of SDRAM installed. However, Activity Monitor and other similar applications will reveal that only 3 GB of SDRAM has been addressed for use by the computer.+
    *Kindly, Dhura*

Yes, the latest 2.2 and 2.4 models can see and use 4gb of ram.
The previous model can see 4 but only use 4 maximum - this applies to all Core 2 Duo machines pre-dating the latest ones which are based on the intel "Santa Rosa platform".
The original Core Duo machines could only see 2gb.
These are limitations of the intel chipsets - not of the Apple MacBook Pro per se.
    Best of luck.

  • I reinstalled my mac os x, and anytime i try to update my software its asking me for an administrators name and password, i enter it and it comes back wrong, and that is the only one i have, i have been to keychain but it does not make any sense to me,

i have just reinstalled my mac os x, in fact yesterday, i have not been able to update my software or change anything at all, i try to do a software update and it is asking me for an administrators username and password that was not happening before, i enter the username and password i created and it comes back wrong, its driving me nuts, been to keychain but unable to figure it out, its asking for a system unlock and i have no clue what that is.
    am desperate.

Stick the 10.6 disk into the computer and reboot holding the c or option key down, select the disk to boot from.
In the installer menu is a Utiltiies menu and a password reset.
If you don't remmember the name, reboot the computer holding the command and s keys down
a black screen with white type appears, when it's finished, dbackspace any extra ssss you have made and then type
    ls /Users
(that's Larry, Sam, space, slash, Users)
and press return, a list of user names on the machine appears
type exit and reboot and use the 10.6 disk to reset your password

  • How can I clear out my crash reports?

Is there a way other than finding the right directory and deleting?

Cant you see the button to Remove All Reports in your '''about:crashes''' page?

  • Why were the colour icons taken away from the finder and itunes sidebars and and replaced with grey monochrome shade icons. It doesn't make any sense.

Why were the colour icons taken away from the finder and itunes sidebars and and replaced with grey monochrome shade icons.
Have apple rectified this yet ?
It doesn't make sense to me why they changed this. Can anyone tell me the reason for the lack of colour ?
On another note, can the the sidebar be changed back to the right hand side in preview (when opening PDF's). It has always been on the right in snow leopard and tiger.
It seems to me that their has been too many unnecessary changes in the Lion operating system.
    Thanks.

You'd have to ask Apple, no one here would know - we are just users like you and aren't allowed to speculate on these forums. You have quite a bit of company though - many people preferred the color.
And, I've not found a way to put the sidebar back on the right side in Preview, but maybe someone else can chime in with that.
I much prefer the sidebar a la sinistra
