Making my storm read as a flash drive

Got my CLNR from VZW, replacement storm.  I was able to make my old Storm act like a flash drive but no longer can, I've unistalled BB Desktop manager with the drivers and reinstalled.  No luck, I've enabled/disabled memory settings while connected and before I connected.  I've formatted my micro sd card.  My sim card is not in my phone.  I've removed the battery.
I need some help =(

thanks for updating !
this is all i could find, not sure if this will help you

  • How do i install adobe reader on a flash drive?????

how do i install adobe reader on a flash drive?

I don't know if this will work; it will certainly not create a "portable" Adobe Reader.
But it may install on the flash driver, to be used only on the computer that installed it.
Download and run the offline installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
On the Reader setup panel, click on 'Change Destination Folder' and select your flash drive.
Let us know how that goes; I am curious...

  • I desire to know how to install Adobe Reader on a flash drive.

My desk top computer is older & does not have internet access.
I would like to install free Adobe Reader on a flash drive while on my lap top that has internet access & then install it on my desk top.
Is this possible & if so How do I do it?

You can download the installer file from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ and copy it onto your Flash drive. Be sure to select the right version for the operating system on your desktop computer.

How do I convert DOS doc to read & run USB Flash Drive?

I'm not really sure what exactly you're trying to do.  Possibly post on the Microsoft forums as DOS was their product?
Perhaps if you provide a bit more detail about what you have now and what you're trying to do with it (desired end result), I might be able to make another suggestion.

  • How can I read a LUKS flash drive?

    Hi All,
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/freeotfe.mirror/
W7 64 bit does not allow you to run unsigned drivers, except in "Test Mode".  This is a problem for Free OTFE as the drivers are (who knows why) unsigned.
And, the users don't like "Test Mode" showing on the bottom right of their screen.  Turn off the "test mode" and Free OTFE stops working.  And, there are actually some good security reasons to use signed drivers.
Has anyone come up with a work around?
A way of reading LUKS encrypted flash drives that has signed drivers?  A sub for Free OTFE?
A way to allow just these unsigned drivers to operate?
Only need to read, not write.  If I can only read, all the better!  (Viruses won't jump from my customer's computers.)
    Many thanks,
    -T

    Hi Arnav,
I have been using this method.  This is what I complained about in the original post.  It pops up "Test Mode" in the bottom right of the screen, which freaks out the user.  So, if you want to read a LUKS stick, I have to do the
above, reboot, read the stick, undo the above, and reboot.  Even though I have copy and paste instructions, including a reboot, it is still a pain in the neck.
Do you know of a way to tell Windows to bugger off on a particular driver?
    Manya thanks, -T

  • I can only read on my flash drive and it won't let me format it. Please help!

    I'm frustrated.

Some flash drives have a failure mode in which they are irreversibly write-locked by the internal controller when it detects a write error. If the drive doesn't have a write-lock switch (most do not) and you can't erase it in Disk Utility, that's almost certainly what has happened. To be sure, test it with another computer, if possible.

  • Officejet 150 only prints/reads pictures from Flash Drive??!!

Everytime I try to print something off my flash drive, the printer will only search for pictures.  It doesn't recognize that there are PDF or Word documents on there.  Is there something wrong or can it only read/print pictures from the flash drive.  Same thing happpens when I try it with a SD card.
    Help??!!

    Hi Emmee102,
The Officejet 150 can only read photo files from the USB flash drive and SD card.
A couple of workarounds can enable you to print from your ipad to the OJ 150:
    1) convert your pdf/word files into jpeg/jpg format and save to the flash drive/SD card
    2) use print screen from your PC , this is good if you only have a few pages in your document.
    Hope this helps.

  • Pavilion dm1 Making A Recovery Set Using USB Flash Drive

I have a Pavilion dm1 for which I have tried to create a Recovery Set using a USB flash drive.  However, on starting the Recovery Manager, I find I can only use discs......but the Pavilion dm1 has NO disc drive and no facility therefore to burn discs!!! Am I wrong to be completely puzzled by this?  Does anyone have any idea at all, other than to purchase an external disc drive which I really do not want to do??  HP will sell me a Recovery Set but again ONLY ON DISC!! Seems absurd that a piece of kit that has no disc drive will only be able to be recovered using a disc!  I confess to being a bit computer illiterate so maybe I am missing something.  Any help most gratefully accepted.

  • Install and run Adobe Reader on an external hard drive / flash drive

I want to install Adobe Reader on a flash drive so that PDF documents on the same drive can be read by Windows users who do not have Reader installed. Is this possible?

What you want is Sumatra http://portableapps.com/apps/office/sumatra_pdf_portable
    or
    Foxit Portable http://www.pendriveapps.com/foxit-portable-pdf-reader/
There are a few dozen others, but those two are the best for running from a Flash Drive. Persoanlly, I prefer Sumatra.

  • IPod being recognized as flash drive??!!! HELP

I plugged my iPod in one day, (someone used it and accidently erased all the music off), and my Mac reads like a flash drive instead of an iPod. The iPod doesn't show up in iTunes, but iTunes does pop up when I plug my iPod in. My iPod says its connected to the computer and all, but its not being read as iPod. Can anyone help me? I have already reset my iPod and turned off the computer and everything, but it just won't work.

    Hello Erica,
    And welcome to  Discussions!
I would start with this Apple support document related directly to your issue.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1410
You may need to remove and re-install iTunes completely from Mac. Use this article to help you do this.
[Removing iTunes for Mac OS X|http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1224]
And if nothing else, reformat your iPod using *Disk Utility*. See this article of mine on how to do this.

  • Making a collage & copying to flash drive

I have photoshop 9 and am making a collage of my grandkids for calendars. I am trying to copy it to a flash drive, but it copies the whole organizer. What do I do?

If you saved your collage layers as a PSD file, the easiest method is to open it again in Full Edit and the use the menu:
    File >> Save As
Choose jpeg as the file format and then navigate to your flash drive and save.

  • USB Flash Drive: Read-only filesystem

    Hi
I'm trying to format a usb flash drive using various tools but they all say that it's a read-only file system. The drive is not mounted and I'm running as root. If I try to mount the drive like so with the command
    sudo mount -o rw,users /dev/sdc1 /media/myflashdrive
I don't get any errors and when I go to /media/myflashdrive I can see and edit all the files (only as root however). However, any changes are not persistent. For example, if I delete any files or run
    sudo rm -rf /media/myflashdrive/*
it seems to work and ls doesn't show anything, but then if a reopen the drive, the files are back.
I've tried this on other computers and even in Windows but nothing can put a scratch on it. I heard something about there being a certain bit in the first sector which can be flipped to make a drive read-only but I think it only applied to Windows.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, but if I can't format the drive I'll probably use some thermite to toast the data on it.

Hmm. I wasn't very clear: my drive was usable originally but it stopped working while I was using Windows (I just plugged it in one day and it was read-only) and now that I use Linux I thought I'd try to fix it (I have been told that linux can do anything but I'm not so sure). I suppose it could just be a physical error on the drive but it's not got any marks or anything.
Just a thought here, if it was a physical problem, would it be possible to 'reset' it with an electromagnet or by shorting it out or would this just frazzle the chip? Maybe not the right forums for that kind of question.
