Making the local social media notifications available as feeds in sap C4C
Hello Experts,
we have a requirement of making our local notification centre available on feeds tab on SAP C4C.
My approach is to go with a custom BO and bring the data from the Social media site and store it in C4C and display it.
Its just a thought i didn't do any R&D yet.
So please suggest something.....

First you have payment difficulty so credit and the Edge program are not available to you. You have to be credit worthy to get any upgrade, unless you can pay full price for all those new devices.

You are trying to get new contract plans, but since you are having paying on time and in full issues you will not get extended credit from any carrier.
What I would do is go and port out to Boost or Virgin Mobile where you pay a reduced cost for each device and get unlimited everything for $40 to $50 a month, it is pre pay so if you don't pay you get cut off.
Verizon although with the best coverage is also the highest priced.

Business Catalyst and Social Media Updating
I'm new to Business Catalyst and aside from link integration between BC hosted websites and Facebook, etc, is there an application that would allow automated post updates to the primary social media pages, similar to functionality that third-party email marketing service providers are offering. If not yet available, can anyone recommend an add-on service that might expand the social media reach. This seems to come up in every client consultation.

Pulling data social media websites in Endeca Index

We have a requirement to integrate the data from social media websites like twitter with the structured data available in house. We understand that CAS has to be installed to perform this operation. But how do we go about configuring the software to link it to websites? Are there any guides available? Also are any there any special considerations to pull data from websites in Endeca index?
Thanks in advanceCAS is not a firm requirement here, by any means. If you're interested in the raw social media feeds like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc., web crawling may not be the way to go, actually. Web crawling parses HTML, which is a fragile, unstable data acquisition approach. If the HTML changes, your web crawl may "break" and need continuous reconfiguration. Most all of the social media sites on the web offer APIs by which to acquire data which will lead to a more robust acquisition approach. Integrator has an SDK by which you can create custom data readers to read directly from the social media sites APIs. Additionally, rumor has it that the next version of OEID v2.4 will offer a JSON data reader that will read the sparly attributed data feeds offered by the social media sites.

We actually have custom readers which can consume social media JSON output directly from the APIs of the social media sites themselves or from social media aggregators like DataSift, Gnip, or Oracle's own Collective Intellect. If you must go about this through a web crawl, putting those records into a record store may be overkill. The CAS web crawler is not capable of doing partial web crawls so, in my experience, writing your crawl output to a record store doesn't buy you anything over writing those web crawls to a XML file.

Social Media Modules not Displaying
I am in the process of developing my blog and have placed the default social media modules into the blog. However, they do not display. Does anyone have any ideas on why this is happening?
Here's the sample page I'm trying to get them to display on. They should be above the comments section.

So the module is putting that in only.
Jenny I see you got yours to display, but I notice you seem to have a different URL than what the facebook plugin would provide. Is this because you also could not get the module to work, and just manually put in the FB code?
If not then how did you get yours to work. -
I have been with Verizon for 15 years. I have a family share plan with 2 smart phones a standard phone and a jetpack for wireless access. I pay for insurance on the 2 smartphones. Approximately a year ago I made a payment arrangement to continue service on my account even though I had some business difficulties. I was told that while the arrangement was in place I could not make any changes to my account. However, since then I have had the following issues and when I try and contact Verizon to try and resolve them I am place on eternal hold or disconnected.
Issue #1: My daughter lost her phone in June 2014. (The contract on this phone was up in 2013) I have been told that I cannot replace the phone even though I pay the insurance premium of $9.95 a month. I have been billed for it and have also been charged $54.87 for the monthly service as well. The phone has not made or received a call since June 4, 2014 yet I have been charged $274.38 I just was able to have the service suspended at the store today, 11/29/2014
Issue #2 My phone has intermittent flaws, locking up and reuring rests, dropping calls, failing to receive calls etc along with horrible battery life. I went into the local verizon store and they ordered me a refurbished replacement phone which was subsequently sent to me. When I received it I took it to the store to have them assist me in setting it up properly. I was told that I should NOT set it up but send it back due to some physical damage present on my old phone that would most likely result in a $150 charge...it was recommended that I just upgrade my phones as they were all out of contract and that would be the best solution. I asked the manager if that would be possible due to the "terms" on my account and she said "it would not be a problem". I was interested in an Iphone 6 which was not in stock so I sent the replacement phone back and left, to wait for the phone to become available.
Issue #3 I had a JetPack that was recently stolen from my car. I stopped in to ask what to do about it (it is no longer under contract either) They suspended the service and recomended I wait until I upgraded my other phones and then get a new Jet Pack. I just received noticed that they were going to continue billing me for it this week, even though it has been out of contract for several months??????
I recently went to Best Buy to take advantage of their Black Friday deals and was told that based on the status of my account I was ineligible for any upgrades. We called Verizon from the Best Buy and they told me that I needed to address my account status (I just made the scheduled payment on the 23rd of Nov) either with Financial Services or go to a Corporate Store. I went to the store and was told there was nothing that could be done at that level, I would need to talk to financial services (which was closed)
So, I am extremely frustrated and upset with this whole situation and wanted to make one more attempt to resolve it with Verizon before I make a full blown complaint to the Attorney Generals Office, the Better Business Bureau as well as post this incredibly BAD customer service story on social media. I hope that I hear from someone ASAP as this is critical that I get things resolved immediately. I can be reached at [removed].

Does the problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
Have you updated from 12 to 12.1 Update? If not, please do so, using a project's Help Menu/Update.
When you go to Publish+Share/Computer/QuickTime, do you find presets for the QuickTime choice? If so, what are they?
Go to Edit Menu/Preferences/Web Sharing and refresh the Online Services?
Next, if problem not resolved...delete the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file and, if necessary, the whole 12.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists.

and in the 12.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not work, then we delete the whole 12.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs exists. Be sure to be working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path. In Windows 8.1, I believe that the path to Folder Options starts with File Explorer.

I just installed iTunes on my computer, where I already have all my music. I went to Edit > Preferences > Advanced, and changed the iTunes Media Folder Location to where I have all my music, in the "Local Disk." But iTunes wont import all my music. Help?
Have you looked in the Music App on your iPhone? On the iPhone music is played by the Music App not iTunes.

I am having problems with the facebook or social media widgets. I would like the link to send viewers to my facebook business page, but when testing it shows my pic and a 'switch' sign (see screen shot) and when I open the site the message is as the other screenshot, great, but I don't know where to find which 'asset' is the problem and why. Also why bother having child pages if the menu doesn't reflect that? I see that drop down menus are an issue, also with some other forum members.

For the "asset" issue, try locating the asset in the assets panel. It should have an icon like this: http://jingsite.businesscatalyst.com/jing/2013-12-16_0917.png
For the child pages in the menus issue, go to the menu options (by clicking the small blue arrow in the right top corner of the menu), and then change the menu type to "All Pages" instead of "Top Level Pages".

When I open an article, I scroll the text to keep reading it. Unfortunately, the social media stuff, which was in the left side of the screen, isn't seen anymore. I want this social media stuff to go along with text. An example is the New Yorker's App, whose image is below. Please, let me know how I can manage this using only InDesign. My Itunes software, when activated, shows an image on the screen of the normal itunes image except that about 3" of the image is cut off on the right side of the screen and about 1" of the bottom. All functions shown work. Any function in the part of the screen that is not shown, is not available, making the softwave almost nonfunctionable. When I upgrade, this is usually resolved, until it starts happening again. Since I currently have the latest version of Itunes, I cannot try this solution, which is only temperary anyway. Can anyone help me?

From your description, I recommend you follow the steps below for troubleshooting:
1. Confirm that the networks are identically configured between all DAG node members.
2. Use the following cmdlet to start the failed Mailbox server and check the result.
Start-DatabaseAvailabilityGroup -Identity "DAG name" -MailboxServer "failed.mail.server"
For your reference:
Start-DatabaseAvailabilityGroup

First of all thanks for the answer.
Let me give you a better view of our situation.
This was discovered during a staged disaster recovery exercise. All our nodes are VMware VMs.
The (primary site or site A) FAILED.MAIL.SERVER was shutdown from the VMware console as it would
happen with a power outage or worse. The Witness server was also shutdown in the same manner. We then had the ACTIVE.MAIL.SERVER
(that meaning the only server running) and the Alternate Witness, on site B.
Initially when the 'failure' was caused the DB mounted right away on the ACTIVE.MAIL.SERVER
then after a bit of time we got all the errors regarding Hub Transport such as:
"The Microsoft Exchange Mail Submission service is currently unable to contact any Hub Transport servers
in the local Active Directory site. The servers may be too busy to accept new connections at this time."
Then after a reboot all the errors persisted and the ACTIVE.MAIL.SERVER
albeit having a running Transport Service still could not communicate via MAPI with the DB. It was still trying to use the FAILED.MAIL.SERVER's
Hub Transport.
That is my understanding of the errors and issues.
As for item #2 can you please explain in more detail what that would do if the FAILED.MAIL.SERVER
is down?
Does that change anything on the ACTIVE.MAIL.SERVER?

Hi,
I have a strange problem connecting one of the office laptops (Macbook Pro 10.7) to the disk in the Apple Time Capsule. It's just one laptop that has this problem and the other 3 no problems at all and they all run OS X 10.7 Lion, I can access the Time Capsule disk over WAN on all machines but locally on the problem machine i get this message "There was a problem connecting to the server "myserver.local" this file is available on your computer. Access the files and volumes locally." Now from this message it sounds like the problem laptop thinks the network drive (Time Capsule) is the same as it's self in the way of name or address however they clearly have different IP addresses locally.
Any ideas on this would be apreciated as I can only think a clean install but don't want to do this if not necessary.

JarrahI think I gave you some bad info in the above, where i enterered the text "myserver.local" & "example.local" this was the host name of the server (Time Capsule) so not local on the computer.
No i didn't try your method, I'll give it a go - I thought the folder option was for local files and not on a server ?
