Man package - manual NOT found

Hi folks,
After running update and ungrade ;
# pacman -Syu
$ man pacman
No manual entry for pacman
# pacman -Ql pacman
pacman /usr/share/man/
pacman /usr/share/man/man3/
pacman /usr/share/man/man5/
pacman /usr/share/man/man8/
# export | grep MAN
declare -x MANPATH="/usr/man:/usr/X11R6/man"
Then
Edit ~./bashrc
adding "export MANPATH=/usr/share/man
run
# source ~/.bashrc
$ man pacman
works again
Just installed iptables;
$ man iptables
No manual entry for iptables
$ iptables -h
iptables v1.3.8
Usage: iptables -[AD] chain rule-specification [options]
iptables -[RI] chain rulenum rule-specification [options]
iptables -D chain rulenum [options]
iptables -[LFZ] [chain] [options]
iptables -[NX] chain
iptables -E old-chain-name new-chain-name
iptables -P chain target [options]
iptables -h (print this help information)
It is working.
I suppose I have to repeat the above steps on "man pacman".   Please advise is there any clue to fix this problem permanently avoiding re-running the said steps each time after installing a new package.  TIA

I don't have /etc/profile.pacnew here
$ sudo locate profile.pacnew

I doubt whether I should run;

    Can anyone help with this error please?
    My JSP code P6.jsp contains :-

    But, the package MyUtils with class file NameStore.class is not found.
    The actual error at JSP translation time is:-

    My directory structure is listed below:-

    Can anyone help please?
    Thanks,John Withington

    put your package in your WEB-INF directory!

  • Package disclosure not found

    hello,
    i'm running jsp pages on tomcat 4.0.
    the jsp page has..
    import disclosure.*;
    when i run the page on IE, i got this error...
    org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSPNote: sun.tools.javac.Main has been deprecated.
    C:\Tomcat\work\Standalone\localhost\disclosure\jsp\Disclosure\addDisc$jsp.java:4: Package disclosure not found in import.
    import disclosure.*;
    ^
    1 error, 1 warning
    but, i already set the 'classpath' to "C:\Tomcat\webapps\disclosure\java\disclosure" which stores some class files for the jsp.
    do i need to have other setups on tomcat?
    Thank you,

    Tomcat ignores system classpath.
    As far as Tomcat is concerned, your class files should be in the WEB-INF/classes directory, in their package structure.
    ie your classes should be in
    C:\Tomcat\webapps\disclosure\WEB-INF\classes\disclosure\
    It also looks at jar files in the WEB-INF/lib directory, and the Tomcet/shared/lib and Tomcat/common/lib directories.

  • Package zzz not found in import (server side classes)

              Hi,
              I'm trying to use the "Web Application" feature in WL 5.10
              (with no service pack). My application contains a couple of
              servlets, a couple of server side classes, and a couple of
              jsp pages.
              I created the WEB-INF\classes directory structure both in
              public_html and in my application's root directory. I
              modified setEnv.bat to contain the two directories in
              ClassPath and compilation of my servlets from the command
              line completes OK (the servlets import a package that sits in
              public_html\WEB-INF\classes).
              However, when I try to import the same package from a jsp
              file, I get the "package zzz not found in import" error
              message. The trace shows that the java compiler invoked
              after the servlet has been generated does not contain
              public_html\WEB-INF\classes in the ClassPath, but contains
              public_html\my_app\WEB-INF\classes.
              How can I specify that the java compiler should look under
              public_html\WEB-INF\classes for server side classes? Is there
              another solution and am I even using the right approach?
              Thanks,
              Vladimir

              You should install the service packs, your problem will probably
              disappear then.
              Web Apps are better supported with service packs.

              Setting the WEBLOGIC_CLASSPATH should do the trick. Look in weblogic

    I am still using Win 98. I have loaded the jdk1.2 in my computer, ok. When I try to use
    import ccj.*;
    in my program. It gave me an error message
    --- Package ccj not found in import.
    Any of you guys have came across the same problem and solved it?
    Thanks

    Thanks for the info. This is the very basic program that I was compiling:
    import ccj.*;
    public class Coins4
    {  public static void main(String[] args)
    System.out.print("How many pennies do you have? ");
    int count = Console.inreadInt();
    double total = count * 0.01;
    System.out.println("Total value = ", total);
    I'll try to look at your suggestions.

    hi,
    I tried the sample code RTPPlayerApplet.java, when i compiled it i got the error Package RTP does not exist. Can anybody tell me how to solve this error?
    Thanks,
    Kalpana.

    hi,
    I have commented the line import rtp.* and all lines related to ParticipantListWindow class. But still having the following errors...

  • [solved] yaourt -Sb [package]: [package] was not found on abs

    If I try to build anything from source with yaourt, it says it's not on abs.  However, the packages I am trying to build are in the abs.  For example,
    [max@pwn xorg-server]$ yaourt -Sb xorg-server
    ==> Building xorg-server from sources
    xorg-server was not found on abs
    xorg-server exists in /var/abs/extra, and the files to build it are there.  What can I do to fix this?

    i'l try and have a look at yaourt tonight,
    though i'm sure there must be a better way to fix this.
    for now, the patch below fixes srcpac,

  • Package is not found after loaded

    Hi there,
    I've uploaded my support package (SAPK-600V1INBPINSTAS&SAPK-600VDINBPERP05, First one is Best practice installation assistant tool, and 2nd one is Best practice building block files) in SPAM, and it reports successful.
    But i am not able to find it from imported support packages.
    Can anyone tell me what is the problem, and what should i do to let BP installation assistant tool (/SMB/BBI) work?
    Any responses will be awarded,
    Samson

    Sorry Siddsesh, we're not able to post any screenshot in this forum.
    Actually i just imported the best practice component ERP05 and the assistant tool from SPAM via Support package>load packages>From Application server. And the PAT file is put to server folder EPS\in. it was loaded successful, while i did it again, the log is *CSN0120061532_0031016.PAT     SAPK-600VDINBPERP05     @EB\QUpload Already Occurred@     0004     OCS file already exists in inbox. Upload not required.
    But i am not able to find it from imported support packages, and dont know to make both them work in my system.
    Anybody help me on this, Thanks a lot!!!

  • Package symantec not found???

    Does anybody know where or how to find the classpath of the package?
    I included this to my classpath but it still doesn't work!
    "set path=%path%c:\...\symantec\itools\;
    import symantec.itools.awt.shape.*;
    import symantec.itools.awt.ImageButton;
    import symantec.itools.awt.VerticalSlider;
    import symantec.itools.awt.HorizontalSlider;
    import symantec.itools.awt.MultiList;
    import symantec.itools.awt.util.ProgressBar;
    The errors I encountered:
    package symantec.itools.awt.shape does not exist
    package symantec.itools.awt.ImageButton does not exist
    package symantec.itools.awt.VerticalSlider does not exist
    package symantec.itools.awt.HorizontalSlider does not exist
    package symantec.itools.awt.MultiList does not exist
    package symantec.itools.awt.util.ProgressBar does not existThanks!

    Wait! I fixed it on my laptop with Win98 and it works fine. However, it doesn't work on Windows 2000. Why?
    H:\R2\Client>javac client.java
    Error:
    c:\Opt\VisualCafeSE\Java\src\symantec\itools\awt\ImageButton.java:440: error while writing symantec.itools.awt.ImageButton.StyleVeto: c:\Opt\VisualCafeSE\Java\src\symantec\itools\awt\ImageButton$StyleVeto.class (The system cannot find the file specified)
    class StyleVeto implements java.beans.VetoableChangeListener, java.io.Serializable
    I did exactly the same thing with the proper setting of classpath for my laptop.

  • Gnupg core package: command not found: gpg-zip

    Hi!
    Where is the "gpg-zip" command from the core "gnupg" package? Why removed?

    For anyone interested, I filed the feature request here:
    https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/44342
    [Edit: As suggested I also created a bug report on this upstream. See: http://bugs.g10code.com/gnupg/issue1935.]

  • Error in clipboard: ORDWEBUTL package not found

    Hi,
    I installed WebAgent 8.1.5.4 and Clipboard 8.1.5.3 (from one installation kit). WebAgent works fine. Something wrong with the Clipboard. I managed getting into Clipboard and even able to view tables of a schema. When I double click on any table name, a message prompt out saying
    "The ORDWEBUTL package was not found in the requested database."
    Anybody can give me a hint what is the installation package that can lead to this ORDWEBUTL package installed into 8i? And how to install it?
    My environment:
    Windows NT 4
    Oracle 8.1.5
    Apache web server 1.3.12
    WebAgent 8.1.5.4
    Clipboard 8.1.5.3
    Dawson

    There is a SQL script in
    (ORAWEB_HOME)\ord\web\admin (in my setup it is D:\oracle\oraas\ord\web\admin) called ordwebutl.sql.
    This needs to be run before doing anything within the clipboard. The usage for running this is within the header of the script itself.

  • Package not found error...please help!!!!

    I am trying build an application using Apache Http server and tomcat. I have created a package called 'employee' under web-inf/classes. I have also put my servlet under web-inf/classes. In my servlet if I use the statement 'import emplyee.*' it gives me a compilation error - 'package employee not found. I was trying to compile the servlet from the DOS prompt web-inf/classes>. I have set my classpath to include lib/j2ee.jar and web-ibf/classes. What am I doing wrong?

    Try setting classpath as web-ibf/classes/employee.jar. Create a jar consisting of the employee package's
    classes.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Chandra Mohan

    I'd guess there's a package corejava.Math, which is needed for this code to compile, but you don't have it...

  • Intermedia - ORDWEBUTL package NOT found Error.

    Hi,
    The intermdeia Clipboard gives the following error message :
    The ORDWEBUTL package was not found in the requested database. Please contact your database administrator.
    How do I install this package in the database ?
    My OS : Windows 2000 Pro.
    Web server : iPlanet Web Server, Enterprise Edition 4.1
    Database :
    Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.6.0.0 - Production
    With the Partitioning option - JServer Release 8.1.6.0.0 Production.
    The webagent and Clipboard installation seems to be fine.
    Do we need OAS on the server side to run the example that uses interMedia to load and play MP3 from Oracle8i ?
    Thanks,
    Nathan

    You can find the ordwebutl.sql script in your <ORACLE_HOME>od\web\admin.
    You can use the Web server of your choice, and it can reside on any machines. When you set up the Web Agent, just provide the appropriate information about the database you are connecting.
