Manage Laboratoy consumables stock in QE51N or QA11.

When performing each analysis (within an Inspection Lot) should see the list of items and quantities consumed (with the ability to add or remove materials) and deduct the same stock at the time of recording the results (or taking Usage Decision).
Please could you help me? What Master Data should I create/modify?
I work with Inspection Plans (and Inspection Characteristics) in Good Receipts in Raw Material and Finish Goods.

For example, I have an Inspection Plan (for a raw material - Type ROH) whitch has a PRT Material (Type FHMI) in order to represent a Laboratory consumable. When performing the analysis, I receipt the Raw Material and consume PRT Material.
Unfortunately when taking the Usage Decision, I can only do the GR (Good receipt) in the "Inspection lot stock" label just for the Raw Material, and I can't do the GI (Good Issue) for the PRT as I would like. The only way to do this GI is through the MIGO tcode?

    I want to inspect the lots that are generated while goods posting in mb31 mvt type101 after process order.For that in material master quality view I have taken inspection type 04 ,did an inspection plan (qp02).Now after doing the process order and after recieving the goods a lot is getting generated.While I am doing the usage decision I couldnot do the goods

    Hi,
    This specific lot does seem to me like it is manually created, there is no system status to say SPRQ or SPCO, therefore is doesnt appear to be stock relevant. You also mentioned that you can move the stock via MB1B, the system will not allow you to do this if the stock in question is being managed by an inspection lot, it will give you an error that the stock can be released via QM only.
    Check the material documents linked to the inspection lot 40000000006, does it display any material documents of type 1 (material document for lot creation)? if not then your lot is definitely manually created.

  • Manage the beer stock in three aspect

    hi gurus:
    here is the situation ,our store purchase  beer from  vendor or distribution center , and we manage the beer stock in three aspect
    (acctually the material is 24 bottle beer in a box) :
    1.beer (liquid )   ( 1 beer stock per bottle )
    2.bottle for beer   ( 24 bottle  for  1 box ) &  the bottle is returnable by customer ,
    3.box for beer  
    NOW ,we have three article number for purchasing and sales ,the problem is when purchasing we have to enter the three article numbers one by one ,is there anyway ,we can input the article number for beer(liquid) and  the system  automaticlly proposed the other two article numbers ?  or you may have better solutions ?

    Hi Ryan,
    I remember seeing somebody proposing solution for a similar need using a subcontracting PO with the additional materials defined as "by-products" in the subcontracting BOM, i.e. components with negative BOM qty.
    Make the BOM for 24 "beers" to contain also -24 pcs of bottles and -1 piece of boxes. Then order the "beers" (with the qty divisible by 24 of course). When you do GR for this order, besides the "beers" you will also get to stock the bottles and the boxes, even if it will be the "stock with subcontractor", special stock O (mvt 545).
    Two problems with this solution:
    - You can't define pricing conditions for these "by-product" items. But you can have them as additional conditions on the "beers"
    - The stock value of the "by-products" will be updated with their current valuation price. If they are valuated to std price, this is not an issue, but if they are MAP materials... Then you will have to do additional accounting transactions to re-allocate the costs to the stock value of these materials.

  • Recommended workflow-way to manage exports for stock sites

    Dear All,
    Is there an efficient workflow - way that someone came up with, that could recomend to manage exports for stock site photography easily?
    The main problem, is that if you upload 10 images for instance, to 3 different sites you most propably will face different accepted images and different rejected from each site.
    Then you have to modify adjustments to reupload the rejected images for a second try, or even a third one.
    And this is the exact point where the problem occures.
    There must be an efficient way to have in different folders (or smart albums or whatever)  the same images with different status (rejected or accepted for instance, or red or green or whatever) and at the same time those images with differenet settings (those you had to make in order to get images accepted) keep also in mind that the images may also have different keywords aswell (in case an image gets rejected due to keywording).
    Its important to  mention that in the end, the folders must match the real status of the images at the stocksite submitted, regarding state (accepted or not) and of course settings.(its important in the end to know that in  site ''A'' you have exactly those images and in site ''B'' the others, and so on.)
    Its more than sure that those 3 different folders (or smart albums or whatever) will eventually have the same images, but most of them will have different status, settings and keywords.
    The only way i found to manage it, is by creating export folders using virtual copies at the publish services section of LR. Note that for publish services i used my hard drive.
    But the drawbacks of this way are:
    1. You double - triple (depending the stock site number) files (at least they are virtual ones)
    2. When an image is rejected from a stock site and you mark the coresponding image as ''marked for republish'' even thow in lr it is clear which files were rejected and should be edited and republished, in the export folder you cant track them, you must export to a new folder evry time creating double - triple jpg files. I think it would be better if LR could sync automaticaly  the folder showing somehow images marked for repubplish.

    The point of Publish is not that the image disappears afterwards, but that it remains there afterwards, after moving between the categories into which the publish window is divided. IIRC you can collapse the parts you are not interested in... (?) I don't have LR in front of me just now. Pictures then move categories again, the moment you make further changes. It's an ongoing relationship between the Catalog and the publish location, and you use Publish when this is what you want.
    It is not very easy AFAICT to terminate this relationship, using the built-in Publish function, without also marking the externally published file for removal. However some 3rd-party LR plugins offering a Publish facility, can do this for you cleanly.
    Personally, I have concluded that the standard one-off (but repeatable, via named preset) Export inherently meets my needs better than Publish does, for this very reason - and have therefore ducked fully dealing with this Publish life-cycle issue. So often, a change is made to an image which is not really substantive and does not justify re-publishing.
    But I definitely suggest looking into plugins, if you like the idea of Publish but find it restrictive currently, including (in no particular order and not comprehensive)

  • Split valuation with batch management and project stock

    Dear Gurus,
    I need to combine two following requirements:
    1. split valuation with batch management (valuation type = batch number)
    2. project stock
    These two functionalities work fine separately but not together.
    I receipt PO for material with spiit valuation on a batch level into a project stock. Posting is OK and material document (MSEG table) seems to be OK (batch number, valuation type and project stock are in this table). The problem appears when I want to display material in this valuation type (MM03) or batch (MSC3n). They don't exist!!!  Short investigation showed that during goods receipt table MBEW (valuated stock) was not updated with this valuation type.
    But If PO is receipt into normal stock first and then posted into project stock everything is OK.
    Have you had or heart about such issue? I would appreciate any sugestion.

    Hi,
    As you already know ,u are using project stock and doing goods receipt against project, stock table QBEW will be updated and not MBEW. MBEW only updates in case of plant stock valuation. If u receive any goods against project stock it does not contribute to plant stock. Irrespective whether your material is managed in split valuation or not, If it is received against project stock it only updates QBEW. There is no need to update MBEW, if u r using split valuation in project. QBEW also have valuation type as another level like MBEW. If u want to see material price for project stock, it can be  seen in QBEW -valuation type and not in mm03.
    As u r receiving goods against project stock this is d only reason QBEW is updated and not MBEW.
    QBEW will store all information like MBEW for batch number, valuation type and project stock assignment.

    Hi,
    Usage decision is made through TCode QA11.In QA11 we also make stock posting. There is one screen that is document header data, in which system take by defalt current date for the document date and posting date.
    In our case there is gap between GR date and UD date. But we need Document date and posting date should be same as GR Processing date.
    Like wise. GR Date 22.08.2008
                    UD Date 24.08.2008
    As per above example document date and posting date is  set by default 24.08.2008.We can change here the date. Now Pl advice
    Is there any idea so that system set posting date by default as GR Processing date ie 22.08.2008

    In std it is not possible. When your going to take UD that date only system will take it as a default,
    If want that changes like GR date = UD date you can try through User exist contact your ABAPer he will guide you.

  • SAP QM - Inspection Lot Stock tab missing in QA11

    Hi,
    My scenario is raw material inspection and I executed the scenario as follows
    Step 1 : Assigned 01 inspect type to the material in QM view .
    Step 2 : Created three MIC's
    Step 3 : Created Sampling procedure
    Step 4 : Created inspection plan for material by assigning MIC's & Sampling procedure to operation.
    Step 5 : Goods receipt of 100 Qty for the material through purchase order.
    Step 6 : Created Inspection lot for material.
    Step 7 : Inspection lot selection for material and recorded the results.Then valuated the results and i reject 2 out of 3.
    Now I have to post the some qty to unrestricted use & some qty to vendor i.e return delivery. To do the same, inspection lot stock tab is missing in QA11.
    Pls suggest if I missed any thing in this process.

    Hello NiTiN J,
    I will clear the confusion.
    As I described the scenario in my first post, I have created inspection lot manually (QA01), then selected the same using QA32, here I had recorded the results & UD also. When I check in MMBE for unrestricted use stock, it is still showing under QI only. Then I  identified that Inspection lot stock was missing. So, I started posting in SCN (After searching).
    Mean while in the discussions I thought that, I completed RR & UD for the material. Now if any suggestions from expects won't applicable for my query. So, after Craig's recent discussion, for the same material once again I have done the GR through purchase order and created inspection lot manually.
    Now I found inspection lot (1st) through Material Document(i.e. MB51 as suggested by Mr.Craig)
    In QA32 (2nd) inspection lot, which is created manually.
    Now I have two inspection lots for the same material and I have not recorded the results nor UD for these lots. Just created and waiting for suggestions.
    And for 1st inspection lot , I tried to do results recording using QA11 also. But system through's error as shown in screenshot.
    I think I cleared the confusion.
    Pls correct me if I am wrong or missed anything.

  • Solution Manager users consume a SAP Licence

    I've been working with customers with Solution Manager and  I got a very extrange question.   A company has got a restriction about the numbers of users that can be created in Solution Manager.  They were said that only users which have a SAP productive licence (ERP/CRM/SRM, etc.) are allowed to use Solution Manager.  So, they deleted all users which do not have a productive user.  So all the consultants now cannot use SolMan for the projects.
    In my view, this totally wrong, since you want to have all your support team, and consultants working in projects, using Solution Manager as fundamental tool, an for sure, most of them will NOT have user in the productive system. 
    Do you have any clear statement somewhere in the Enterprise Support contract or somewhere else which clearly state that users in SolMan need to have a productive licence?  Is there any note, mail from SAP that say so?

    The SAP Solution Manager is covered under the customeru2019s support agreement, so normally we have the customers address this with their account team if they have any questions.  There is more information in the solution manager homepage FAQ.   Note that all use of SAP Solution Manager is u201Ccoveredu201D by the customer agreement, including users.  The only exception is use of Service Desk for non-SAP components, in this case the account team can inquire if any additional licenses are required.

    Hi,
    I'm currently stuck within one of my implementation.
    I'm deploying the same solution worldwide which worked pretty well until now. All the items are connected to an item group, with a unique GL account, supposed to book at the same time the good receipt and the good issue (Balance-Sheet Account = 14xxxxx). These flows are done like this :
    PO - GR - AP Invoice
    SO - Delivery - AR Invoice
    My new unit is willing to use two different GL accounts when performing its stock entry / Good receipt (let say 14xxx10) and another GL account for the good issue / delivery , let say 14xxx20.
    Meanwhile, we don't want to use manual good entry / good issue as we want to keep the flow integrated.
    Do you have any clue so i can please them and keep using at the same time the item group ?

    I guess I wasn't clear enough on my first answer.
    What, should be done (in the following order):
    - Say on the company parameters, how you want to determine the G/L Accounts,
    - Use the G/L Account Determination transaction to set the default accounts,
    - Create the misc. Item groups and warehouses and set the "good" accounts.
    Then, when you create an item, depending on the setting on the company it'll have the defined accounts. In all cases, these accounts can't be changed directly at this stage.
    If, on a per item basis, you want specific accounts, you'll have to go to the "Inventory data" tab on the "Item Master Data" dialog for your item. Then, you should change the option "Set G/L Account by" to "Item Level".
    In your case, what I would do is to create different warehouses and assign to each the "correct" G/L accounts. Then, when you'll do transactions from one warehouse or an other, the "good" accounts are going to be used. If it's not clear enough, you can contact me directly and we can speak in french, since from your name I think you're french just like me...

    In Activity Monitor there is a Print Manager App taking over 99% of CPU resources and as a result, fans are on at full speed constantly, even if NOTHING is open. The user of this App is "_lp".
    I understand that "root" and "myname" should be the only users.
    The machine is a laptop that I use by myself (or so I though).
    Are the above signs that somebody/something got inside my machine? I have also discovered MacFUSE in my System Preferences and I know for sure that I did not installed that one.
    Any ideas or suggestions?

    Those are the most common, but OSX has any number of internal users for various processes.

    Doubful, but anything's possible. A Google search says it's a developer tool. Could be associated with some other 3rd-party app you've installed.
    Is your firewall on? With the most restrictive settings?
    Has your Mac been left unattended?
    Do you need a password to sign on?

  • Vendor Consignment stock or vendor managed stock

    My client wants to manage vendor consignment stock.
    Vendor will be given a area and vendor will keep the stock in his area. Based on the plan he will supply the stock.
    the GR for rawmaterials will be made on the consumption report given by the production person. This activity will happen next day only. i will do the GR only to the quantity consumed.
    for example if i consumed 100 qty, i will do GR only for 100 and vendor will issue invoice for 100. But when the vendor issue the stock, he will raise a excise invoice based on which i have to take excise credit. I want to know how to do the same.
    secondly, i take credit for 100 qty, but actual consumption is 95 only, how do i reverse the 5 only excise invoice.

    No, it is possible to sell from vendor consignment stock directly and I have done it in ECC 6.0 (not IS-retail).
    - Pls refer the note 607604.
    - Establish the 'stock determination rule' in MM -> Inventory Management -> Stock Determination.
    - You need to assign it to the material (MRP3 view) or assign it to item-ategory.
    - DONOT mark the special stock indicator in item-category used in SD (e.g. TAN) with 'K'..I did this mistake and wasted some time. If you do, it will ask you to populate the Vendor field in the Delivery which is not available and you may get stuck up because of that.
    This should make it work.

         i am creating Production order using co08 with respect to sales order.the
    ( bom items)components to be cosumend for that production order should be sales order stock compulsory.
    if i want to consume against sales order how can i consume stock which does not have sales order assignment. i think only through 231 movement type.

    Hi madan,
    Other than the way of converting the unrestricted stock to the sale order stock which is the normal course of working, you can also consume the unrestricted stock to the production order which has a assignment to the sale order by manually changing the assigment of the material  to blank in the production order components.  If you enter into the production order components u will be able to see a column called "Spec procurement" where in by default it will be '1' if the production order is w.r.t a sale order.  you have to remove that and make it blank.  then proceed with material availability check, if the unrestricted stock is avl for the material / storage location then the same will be commited to the production order.

    Changing from tick to untick or untick to tick of Batch Management indicator follow the procedure (Changing of status in Material Master Record)
    Changing the status of the material from Uncheck to checked or viseversa is possible only if the following conditions are met
    1 Check the Status of material MMBE
    2 There should not be any open Purchase Order Use SE16 & Table EKPO Give the material number for which we have to find the Open Pos; Alternateively ME2M can also be used
    3 There should not be any Open Production Order Use SE16 & Table AFPO Give the material number for which we have to find the Open Production Orders
    4 There sould not be any Sales Order Use SE16 & Table VBAP Give the material Number for which we have to find the Open Sales Orders
    5 There should not be any Purchase Requistion Use SE16 & Table EBAN Give the material Number for which we have to find the Open PRs
    6 There should not be any Stock in Transit MB5T
    7 There should not be any Plant availability Stock MB53
    8 There should not be any Reservation MB25
    9 Previuos Period Stock should be zero Use MM03 with Plant Stock & Storage Loc. View If Stock Exists follow the Procedure mentioned in next chapter to close

    together with posting date (for example, using movement type 562).
    If any of the above Stock Exists it has to be closed;If Any of the stock exists we cannot uncheck.
    After closing all the open items;the related business documents viz Purchase Orders,Production Orders,Delivery,etc has to be Archived
    Archiving has certain criteria while doing Archiving Process-- Systematic Archival is the Key factor i.e relationship diagram has be met.
