Manage Systems in other child domain through sccm server placed in another child domain.

Hi,
We have single forest , multiple domain AD structure. There is full trust between the child domains.
We have a requirement to manage systems in another child domain. the admin account is placed in one of the child domain, where the SCCM Server is also installed.
I tried placing LDAP query for other child domain in AD system discovery method., but it shows the attached error.
Pls. help

Have you granted the admin account permissions to read computer accounts in the other Child Domain? do the Primary Site servers computer account have permissions to read computer account information in the other child domain? Otherwise it will not work..

We are on SOLMAN 7.0 SP19 and we wanted to use the ASAP 7.0 roadmap for an implementation project. But currently we dont see this roadmap in the list of Roadmaps available. Can some one tell how it can be brought in and made available in Solution manager system. Is it done through a SAP note? If not where do we can get this roadmap? I know the HTML version is available in service matketplace but we want the roadmap to be assigned in Solution manager project.

We have to manage the Workgroup Computers both Linux and windows Environment through SCCM 2012 R2.
what are limitation associated with managing Workgroup computer both with Linux and windows Computers through SCCM.
Please help us how to achieve this.

Windows devices that are Workgroup members have the same features for management as domain joined devices except that it is slightly more difficult to get the client installed on these 'unmanaged' devices.
The Linux computers have only basic support for Inventory, Application Management, and Compliance.

Can we handle physical data storage through SAP Record Management System

Dear Experts,
how can we use Record Management system for handling the process involved in physical storage
of records ( like files, documents, boxes, x-rays etc) their retrievals, destruction etc.
Same as that how to handle space management, allocate space to store physical storage, retrieve the available spaces etc.

Tranport Management System other tcode than this

Hello ABAPers,
Is there any tcode other than stms to check the transport request is transported to production server?
We're having a hard time in updating the program in the production server.
Actually we had 2 servers...one is the client 400 which is the pre-prod..and the other one is the client 800 which is to be the production client...(live data).They are in the same system.
One scenario is we tried to check the OR program if amount in words is ok...unfortunately when we tried to check it to client 800 the program is not updated unlike to client 400.. I wonder what went wrong?according to our basis guys...they transferred the program to both servers....and by checking it to tcode stms...other than that they dont know weather the program was successfully transferred to production.
Please help.....is there any tcode or program so i can check the update program transferred to production?

Only Endnote is integrated with Pages. How other reference manager systems work, i do not know but that are not integrated with Pages.

DCOM errors on site server when connecting to site systems in remote untrusted domains

When the site component manager and sms executive is trying to access site systems in remote domains in untrusted forest i got a lot of events in the system log with event id 10028:
"DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer <computername> using any of the configured protocols; requested by PID 32a4 (D:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\bin\x64\sitecomp.exe)."
"DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer <computername> using any of the configured protocols; requested by PID 2990 (D:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\bin\x64\smsexec.exe)."
I have checked the sitecomp.log and smsexec.log for errors, but I can´t find anything wrong and everything seems to be working fine. I am using Site system installation account to connect to the site systems. Is this normal behavior?

Here's the answer from SA support:
Reason behind the errors in DCOM :The SCCM 2012 Server will always connect to all the MPs with the system account, and will use the console provided remote forest credentials only to run the MP
management.
Whenever we attempt a connection SCCM build a list of available accounts (Site System Installation Account
+ Machine Account) and loop through them attempting each option in turn. The machine account is always (as far as I know) a member of this list – if you don’t specify
a site system connection account then it will never connect if the machine account fails – but that’s not the same as saying specifying a site system connection account means we won’t try the machine account first.
So this is something "by design" and shouldn't cause any troubles to the SCCM systems.

MS Office Pro 2013 Deployment through SCCM 2012 R2

I have deployed MS Office Pro 2013 through SCCM 2012. But from Windows 7 Client Machines It's not Installing. Noticed following error in Software Center.
I'm testing two deployments before bring into production.
Test Machine 1 : Purpose = Available
From Software Center I have found Test Machine 1 is Status failed.
Test Machine 2 : Purpose = Required
From Software Center I have found Test Machine 2 is Status post due-will be retried
The following Error code is same for both Machines.

Running a Batch file through SCCM

I have an installed Endpoint security program installed on 1800 systems in our domain. I have a batch file that is succesfully when run on a system. The batch is below. I've starred the sensitive info and path, (thing to remember is this batch
works on a target system).

The first 4 lines migrate where the software points to a new server, the second phase removed the software (permitted following the move). following the msiexec /x is the msi registry key of the software to be uninstalled.
I can see the job has been sent to the test clients and been accepted by them however thats it nothing happens after that.
Question 1 - can anyone give me a step by step of running this batch through SCCM as I'm obviously doing something wrong.
Question 2 - Which Client SCCM logs do I look in to see what happens after the batch hits the client.

Yes to all of the questions above:
Created Package; set distribution point, linled the programs (command line "programname.bat" also tried "programname.cmd"
Created advertisment and schedule targeting collection. Nothing appears in execmgr.log
Something should appear in execmgr.log. I'm assuming the client is a member of the collection, the advertisement available time has passed, and the mandatory assignment time has passed? I'm also assuming that other advertisements are working
on that client?
If so, that information should be in execmgr.log. You should be able to search for the advertisement ID and the package ID. Otherwise, no there are no special tricks to make a batch file run via SCCM advertisements. You should see that
command line launched in execmgr.log.

DPM agent installation through SCCM

We have DPM 2012 installed and we want to install the DPM agent through SCCM to all client server, can you please tell me the process..
Appreciate if you can update at earliest.

I am trying to add this as a Task Sequence in SCCM 2012 but am unable to get it to work. I followed the link above, tested it out in a dos prompt and it works. But as soon as I add it to a TS, I get the 0x80070002 (i think) stating it cannot
find the file. When the deployment logs in, I do not see the mapped drive. I can see the task window stating mapping drive then Add DPM Client, but then thats where it fails.
I have the task sequence in 3 step, first to map the network drive (net use P: \\server\c$), second to add the DPM Agent using ("P:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012\DPM\DPM\agents\RA\4.0.1920.0\amd64\1033\DPMAgentInstaller_KB2751230_AMD64.exe"
/q server.domain.com)(that is the location of the file), and the third to remove the mapped drive.
I should also mention that the firewall is enabled, but just before the map network drive, I have it disabled, then set to enable after the DPM client is installed.
Suggestions?
