I�m Microsoft .NET Developer and I use the Microsoft Visual Source Safe to share and to manager code in team projects. I would like of know if exist a similar Software to Java Environment?

Your source control is irrelevent to .net or java. Source save, CVS, PVCS and many other source control systems can be used on files, whatever type they are.
Your .net tools are probably integrated with source safe, and some java, c++ or whatever tools are integrated with source control systems, including source safe.

I'm looking for a recipe management Mac application and/or a website (and preferably an iPad app) that will allow me to share recipes directly with friends and them with me.
I have YummySoup and would recommend it to friends except that it requires a MobileMe account to share recipes (it allows you to publish 'recipe casts' and subscribe to other peoples 'recipe casts').
Any suggestions?

I quite like the way YummySoup works. Someone can publish recipes via MobileMe and then you can subscribe to their receipecast and any new recipes just appear directly in YummySoup. Far less hassle than email.

Your best bet would be to try resetting the password to the account that you would like to use via iForgot
Once you log in to that account change the email address to anything, it can even be fake its just a placeholder
After you do that you will be free to change your old email address on your appleID to the new one that is now free to be used as it is no longer attached to the other account.

I installed this OS, and it looks nice, but it's terrible to use. I randomly have the volume controls get disabled, and sometimes the volume menu in the system tray does nothing when adjusted which I've never seen in an OS before. The trash won't empty. When I try to drag and drop newer files over existing ones, nothing happens. The old ones just stay there. I have to delete the old ones and then move the new ones. And when I go into the protected files to manage audio plugins (I make music), the first thing I hit are error codes galore, and password prompts that either don't popup when they should, or don't execute the command after I provide my password.

Back up all data before proceeding.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select

Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:

Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.

Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.

Renaming Set Code and Stage Code for a refresh set in Concurrent Manager

Hi,
We're using Oracle Applications 11.5.10.2 on a 10.2.0.4 Database:
Would anyone know how to rename the Set Code for the Refresh Set and Stage Code for the Stage for a Refresh Set in Concurrent Manager? I’ve seen it done in the two Report Sets but when I try to so it in the Report Set I’m creating, those fields are grayed out. How do I get around that?

Argh! Profile Manager and Code-Signing of profiles

I am setting up Profile Manager in Mavericks with Server.app 3.0.1.
I have DNS correctly setup, I have created an OD Master for Profile Manager, Profile Manager is running and network users can login and I can setup profiles. I also have the https site working properly for clients although that needed some help.
We have a self-signed root CA and off that we have two intermediate CAs, one for signing server SSL certificates, and one for signing codesigning certificates. On my server I have installed the rootCA, and the intermediate CAs and of course the server SSL certificate itself. As mentioned initially I had a problem with the https site on the server and what was happening was that the server was not sending the intermediate certificate along with the server certificate to clients. (The clients already have our rootCA certificate installed and trusted.)
As a result the chain was incomplete and clients did not trust the http site. I tracked this down to the files in /etc/certificates it turned out that of the four files for the server certificate i.e. .key.pem, .chain.pem, .concat.pem and .cert.pem that the .chain.pem did not contain the intermediate CA. I replaced it with the intermediate CA pem file and restarted Apache and clients now get the full chain and can therefore trust the https site.
My problem now is with the codesigning certificate, this also has been selfsigned this time by the intermediate codesigningCA. It is accepted by Profile Manager and it does sign the profiles. However when I download the Trust profile and try installing it, it comes back unverified. (If it was unsigned it would say unsigned instead.) This trust profile contains a copy of the server certificate and the rootCA certificate but does not contain the intermediate codesigningCA certificate.
I tried the same trick of swapping out the codesigning .chain.pem file in /etc/certificates but this did not help. I am currently stuck, any suggestions from any one?

I would really appreciate being walked through these steps. I just upgraded to Yosemite and Server.app 4 and am dealing with all the brokenness.
Profile Manager does not show a code signing certificate when I ask it to sign configuration profiles.
I DO NOT have the Code Signing Certificate in my keychain created when OD was created.
I DO have the four code signing certificate files:
/etc/certificates/host.domain.tld.Code Signing Certificate.<UUID hash>.cert.pem
/etc/certificates/host.domain.tld.Code Signing Certificate.<UUID hash>.chain.pem
/etc/certificates/host.domain.tld.Code Signing Certificate.<UUID hash>.concat.pem
/etc/certificates/host.domain.tld.Code Signing Certificate.<UUID hash>.key.pem
Furthermore, when I search my System keychain passwords, for <UUID hash>, I see that have the password that decrypts these pem's, e.g. via the openssl command
openssl rsa -outform der -in 'host.domain.tld.Code Signing Certificate.<UUID hash>.key.pem' -out 'host.domain.tld.Code Signing Certificate.<UUID hash>.key'
What's the specific step-by-step to convert these four files into something that Profile Manager can use to sign configuration profiles?

I am trying to access the links to Essbase Console, Planning and Shared Services but I get the following error message.

I tried to restart all the services on all the servers and also restarted the servers but it didn't work.

Recent pictures from him came with read and write permissions. He says he has not done anything different than before.
Could it be that there is a setting in our mac / photoshop which causes this?

Print management and billing (client only)?

Is there an easy (and inexpensive if I may add) solution for managing print jobs in a Mac OSX environment (all Leopard)?
I would like to be able to track print jobs by client (architecture studio) and then be able to bill them.
Our setup is:
3 iMacs (Intel)
2 MacPro (PPC)
1 MBP (intel)
1 MB (intel)
1 MacMini (intel)
2 TimeCapsules
On the printer side:
1 HP Plotter
1 Panasonic Workio
2 smaller printers
All printers except 1 (USB and shared with the rest) are connected directly to the LAN (switch).
Even if there are some printers (the "2 smaller printers") that cannot be tracked I don't care. Most important for me would be to have a SW on each computer where the user can assing a "code" to each print job. These codes can then be collected.
HP seems to offer something similar but, for some reasons, the user, when printing with ArchiCAD 12, is not recognized by the printer itself, making it useless...

It seems to me that one way to use the simplest of these, which analyze the CUPS page_log, is to implement a policy within the company that workers must log in to a separate Username for each project - then accounting is easy because the programs identify pages by Usernames.

In the intresting document I read that for the deployement the version number mentionned in the MANIFEST.MF is very important in a clustered evironment.

Local disk access and sharing changes

I have a Mac Dual 2.3 Ghz G5 operating OS X Server 10.4.6. Among other things I use this server to run duplicates of a local internal hard drive, as well as networked client hard drives, to external Firewire backup hard drives that are local to this server.
Frequently the ownership and sharing attributes of these local external backup hard drives mysteriously change. Through Workgroup Manager, I set the disks to be shared, with certain users and groups having read/write privileges. Later, the read/write privileges mysteriously reset to "none", the owner is changed to "root", and the group is changed to "wheel." Sometimes the "share this item and its contents" box is mysteriously unchecked as well.
Manually resetting the attributes back to the desired state does not prevent the problem from recurring.
I use Retrospect 6.1.128 to automatically duplicate local and network files to these local external Firewire hard drives. I don't know if this is related to the problem or not. The backups run throughout the day.
What's going on and how can I avoid this continual reset of sharing and ownership attributes?

Just out of Morbid Curiousity- If you get info on those Firewire drives- do they have the "ignore Permissions...." box checked.

I would like to connect from oracle to sql server through db link and ODBC (Heterogenous connectivity). But every session in oracle launch session in sql server. Is it possible to have connection pooling and sharing from Oracle RDBMS level ? I need one solution : when (for example) i run 100 sessions in Oracle i would like to see 10 sessions on sql server. I would like remain 90 sessions from oracle to be queued.
I would mention that i was using Heterogenous connectivity with multithreading agent (agtctl) without success.

There are two concepts you could evaluate, but they are mainly used for connections to the database, not to sqlserver, but if you can make them work with heterogeneous connectivity this could help:
Connection Pooling. When many sessions are connecting to the same database, it could be that some of them remain idle. Oracle can detect them and timed them out letting another session to enter into the database, letting the idle session remain open without closing its session. This is configured by means of the shared server architecture.
Session Multiplexing. Session multiplexing allows the same bandwidth to be used by many sessions at the same time, this enables the server to use fewer network connection endpoints for incoming request. In order for you to configure session multiplexing you have to configure connection manager.

Cube - manage - notedown the req number - selective deletion - enter req number at REQ ID and give the selection parameters as you need(GL a/c, BA and Co Code ) and execute.
For DSo you can't do selective deletion on request id basis

1) Open the Phone and dial *228. This is a Verizon over-the-air programming number.
2) When the system answer press 1 for "Program or activate your phone"
3) Wait for the call to disconnect. You should get a prompt stating something like, "Settings updated."
4) Open the Task Manager and kill the Phone, Message, and Contacts Applications
5) Wait a few minutes (I waited 3 just to be extra safe)
6) Open the Message App to verify the fix
