Managing Albums and Playlists - How, how???

Can anybody please tell me how to do this in iTunes 9. I have all my albums in folders as mp3s on my PC. I get these albums into itunes but if I make a compilation folder in windows, Itunes imports all the songs as single albums with that particular song, ***?
How, I'm beginning to loose faith in apple now - help help??

Settings>Store (or iTunes & App Stores if you are running iOS6)>Apple ID. Tap your son's ID and sign out. Sign in with your ID and password.
You shouldn't lose the music, but if you try to update any apps that you bought with the family ID, you will have to use that password that is linked with that ID in order to update.
Avoid downloading past purchased content with the old ID if you can since you will associate the iPad with the old ID for 90 days and you will lock yourself out of your own, new ID for that period of time. Read more about associated devices in iTunes here.

Follow the steps below to view and restore from your Time Machine drive.
To restore photos:
Quit iPhoto.
Connect your Time Machine drive.
In the Finder, open the folder containing your iPhoto Library. Unless you've moved your iPhoto Library, it can be found in Home/Pictures/iPhoto Library.
Enter Time Machine. (Time Machine can be found in the Dock or in the /Applications folder.)
Choose your desired backup. The timeline on the right side of the screen displays a purple tick mark for each of the backups stored on your Time Machine drive.
Select the iPhoto library you would like to restore, and click the Restore button.
iPhoto may prompt you to repair your library if there are some inconsistencies in your files. If so, please allow it to proceed by clicking the Repair button. If you notice blank thumbnails, reopen iPhoto while holding down the Command and Option keys. When the Rebuild iPhoto Library window appears, enable the "Rebuild all of the photos’ thumbnails" checkbox. This may take a long time, depending on the size of the library.
Quit iPhoto, before you do that.

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

I know there has to be a way to add and remove whole albums and playlists like on the music tab on the device, so please don't tell me to uncheck/delete everything from my iTunes that I don't want and re-sync. That is not helpful and not the issue. How do I get around it threatening to remove all my apps?

On the MacBook, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Advanced > Disable remote control

What is manually manage songs and playlist?

I had some issues earlier and it seems to be resolved now,but in the process it had me set the IPod to manually manage songs and playlist. I want to close ITunes now and go to bed but I don't know how to exit ITUnes without losig my music. I used to click sync IPod and put a check mark next to the song I wanted loaded to the Ipod and when it was over I would take the check mark off,but now what do I do?

By default the iPod is set to "automatically manage songs and videos", whatever changes you make in iTunes are reflected on the iPod the next time you connect it. In manual mode you can directly access the content of the iPod and play it through iTunes and you can drag and drop whatever you want to the iPod from your library: Managing content manually on iPod
Something to remember about using an iPod in manual mode is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device. Previously downloaded albums and playlists wont play. The only music that will play are those listed as "Recently Added". When I attempt to play any other music, I get the error message "The song could not be used because the original file could not be found." I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes. Any suggestions?

It is very possible that you have transferred icons only. This is a mistake I know I have made.

How did the photos/albums get onto the phone ?
Only photos taken with the iPhone or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the phone - either via the trashcan icon at the bottom right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it top right in thumbnail view. Albums that you've created directly on the phone can be deleted via the Edit button at the top right of the album selection screen.
Photos/albums that were synced from your computer are deleted by moving/removing/de-selecting them from where they were synced from on your computer and then re-syncing

to know your version of OS, click on the apple, then " About This Mac".

I can't find a particular album on my ipod, yet it appears on my computer ipod both in albums and playlists (thought a playlist of the album would shortcut the search). Any thoughts on how to fix this?

I have put a few audiobooks on my ITunes and wanted to play them on my ipod. However, they don't come up either my artist or album lists, despite appearing to be present when I look at them on the computer ITunes. I tried to make them easier to find by making a playlist, but the problem remains - present on the computer but not there on my ipod. Its like they are invisible on my ipod!

I don't know if it's considered a problem, I think it's just part of the design of the program. Some might consider it a flaw in the design. But at least you've found a workaround.

Cash Management - refunds and unpaid DD - how to reconcile?

Can someone help me on this ? We're implementing CM R11. Until now we've found solutions for most of the problems except for the following
- refunds and unpaid DD
AR uses debit and credit memos for the refund (no payment created in AP,) and adjustments for the unpaid DD. So, we don't have available transactions on AP or AR to reconcile on this case....And because this is posted in summary even the matching against GL journal lines don't work ( the statemnt has the items in detail. As is quite complicated to change the processes I'm looking for alternative solutions:
a)Should I have this AR entries being book to an interim and then use miscelaneous receipts to automatically book the bank side to the same interim (this would imply a manual reconciliation of the interim)?
b)should we ask that a view is created (is it possible?)for Debit/credit memos and adjustments, and reconcile bank against open interface?

Hi Priya:
We have option in upload the bank statement using BAI2 format and identify the individual receipts number. Go to BAI2 format lines, check BANK_TRX_NUMBER colum that represents transaction number in bank statement which should be corrosponding to receipt number in AR. Ensure to set up 'reconciliation control' at bank account level to set as 'Transaction' for system to look for individual receipts during reconciliatiion.

Manually managing songs and playlists in iTunes

My hard drive crashed so I'm now manually managing the songs that get updated to the iPod. Looking for tips on how to quickly tell which songs in the Library are new and have not been updated to iPod. I understand the Recently Added playlist (mostly/kinda), any clever tips on how to use that playlist to help manage the pipeline?
-- How long do songs stay in Recently Added folder?
-- I tried Unchecking Selection in Recently Added, but then the songs also get unchecked in the Library and won't play in Shuffle mode

Thanks, Katrina. Also got response from another source that had pretty simple solution building off Hudgie's, for those facing similar problem:
-- right click on Recently Added playlist, click Edit Smart Playlist
-- make sure the box is checked for Match the following rule
-- confirm or select Date Added from first drop-down box and fill in rest of drop downs so you set very short time-frame criteria (a few days or 1-2 weeks, depending on how often you are adding songs to iTunes)
-- list will clear out after timeframe expires, so next batch of imported or purchased songs will create "pipeline" list in Recently Added playlist that can be used to update iPod.
