Manifest file is wrong somehow...

Hey,
So I am trying to create a JAR file for my project, my project uses the MySQL connector. So I click the jar file...the first GUI opens up, but it closes after you try to sign in because it cannot find the jdbc connector... Am I doing anything blatently wrong here?
Note that I renamed the connector.
Manifest-Version: 1.0
Main-Class: General.SLADriver
Class-Path: mysql.jarAll help would be appreciated, I have to present this later tonight, and I do not want to run it through an IDE...haha
Thanks!

You can just change the dimensions for the movie that are specified in the html page code.  As long as you keep the width/height ratio the same, it should not distort anything. You may lose some quality visually if the uses images, but that depends how much larger you specify it to be.

  • What's wrong with the manifest file????

    when i tried to jar using this command:
    java -jar aaa.jar
    i have an error saying:
    Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from aaa.jar
    so i tried editing my manifest file but no matter wad changes i make to the manifest file the same error occur so desperately, i remove the manifest file and the same error occur! can someone help me???

    If you want to execute a jar file using the -jar option, then you must put a Main-Class entry into the mainifest of the jar. The Main-Class must be the fully qualified name of the main class. The main class must be added to the jar correctly. The manifest must end with a blank line.
    If you still have problems, you need to post more information: the contents of the manifest, the fully qualified name of the main class, the command you are using to create the jar.
    You can also execute jar without using the -jar option. You do this by adding the jar to the classpath and specifying the main class as the application class to run. For example java -classpath aaa.jar MainClass

  • Powershell: How do I upload files with metadata from a manifest file?

    I am using the script from this blog to try to upload files into SharePoint, using a manifest file to specify the metadata associated with each file. Right now, the script works, but is not populating
    the metadata from the manifest (xml) file. When I write the $metadataManifest variable out to the console, I get the contents of my xml file, so the code is reading the file when it should. However when it gets to the line in bold ($metadataManifest.Columns.Column),
    it does not go into that block...it just skips on to checkin the file. Again the $metadataManifest variable shows all the content in my xml manifest file. Here is what the script looks like...

    Hi Spawn,
    Name should not be a problem.. I will probably post you the entire code (I modified it to meet your goals for having multiple column xml nodes as well)
    For the code snippet below:
    a. In powershell all my changes will have ## prefixed comments
    b. in XML I have changed one column name to "Name" to replicate your case and also added a parent node for making the xml well formed.
    and the SharePoint output

  • How to put chinese character in the Manifest file

    Hi,
    I want to know that how can we put chinese characters in the manifest file. Please suggest a solution.

    [slightly confused stuff removed]Sorry, AmitChalwade123456, I know trolling can be very funny, but you're confusing the sh*t out of newbies with this almost-seems-usefull kind of talk.
    Stop that.
    And in case you really meant that seriously: Please refrain from giving advice with regard to encoding. What you posted is wrong (to put it mildly).

  • How to use manifest file to indicate the entry class?

    I am trying to package all my class files together and let the users to run my file using the following command line:
    java -jar program.jar
    For this purpose, I need to specify the main class in the manifest file. I create the manifest file as below:
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Created-By: 1.3.0 (Sun Microsystems Inc.)
    Main-Class: classname
    and include it in the same directory as my class file. then I jar all the files using:
    jar cvmf manifest.mf program.jar *.*
    However ,when I try to run the program using:
    java -jar program.jar, I get the error message:
    Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from program.jar.
    What have I done wrong? pls help!!! thanks a lot

    Hi.
    here one example:
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Main-Class: Solitaire.RunMe
    Created-By: 1.3.0 (Sun Microsystems Inc.)
    you may run it by : java -jar Solitaire.jar, or doubleclick over the Solitaire.jar
    the main class is RunMe in package Solitaire.
    so the complite path would be Solitaire.RunMe.
    enother one
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Main-Class: RunMe.RunMe
    Created-By: Forte for Java v. 1.0
    you may run it by : java -jar Transmission.jar, or doubleclick over the Transmission.jar
    the main class is RunMe in package RunMe.
    so the complite path would be RunMe.RunMe.

  • Problem with manifest file and Plateau LMS

    I have published a course with a quiz in SCORM 1.2 and tried
    to upload to a Plateau LMS.
    It seems that a "page cannot be found" message is the result
    after upload and we try to launch the course. The course works
    outside the LMS (when run locally on my computer).
    The Plateau LMS support team tried to help, and found the
    following: "There is something wrong with this manifest, though I
    cannot ascertain what that is exactly. Most of the file name is in
    the parameter field, which is causing the launch path to look like
    this:
    /content/apmm/cbcgis/mars/BRTMAIN/MARS?BRT%20Maintenance%20Template_%2020080226.htm=
    Everything in the parameters field is placed after the
    filename in a URLencoded querystring after the question mark that
    you see above. it should look like this:
    /content/apmm/cbcgis/mars/BRTMAIN/MARS BRT Maintenance
    Template_ 20080226.htm"
    Can anyone please help resolve this, or have any advice?
    This is the first time we have tried uploading Captivate
    courses to this LMS, and we have been having problems with the
    manifest file in general. I have looked at all the material I can
    find on publishing and the manifest file, but cannot seem to
    resolve my issue.
    Thanks
    Warwick

    Warwick,
    I have had this error with an Authorware set of SCORM files
    when my LMS was looking for index.htm and I had named it index.html
    - you wouldn't think that would cause an error but it did. I would
    be more than happy to package a Captivate file of just a few
    screens that works on my LMS (which is Learn.com's Learning
    Center), and send you the SCORM files to test... That could be a
    start anyhow. I will send you a private msg. with my e-mail
    id.

  • Manifest File

    I am making a WBT where I need to use the scorm feature with Presenter and PowerPoint. I have looked at the help file for the instructions on what options to select for scorm and when I publish my presentation as a  .pdf file I am not getting a manifest file with it. What am I doing wrong?

    I don't believe that the PDF version will do SCORM reporting. Publish out a zip of the Flash version and you will be able to see the manifest file in that zip. (don't publish directly to your desktop or you will end up with about 20 files and folders that you have to keep track of).

  • Problem of  loading the Manifest file

    Hello Friends,
    I have developed a project in J2SE.I am creating a JAR file of it but I am facing a problem in doing that. My Problem is The Manifest File I have created is not loading by the JVM. I have created the Manifest file which contains the following code:
    Main-Class: secl/Login
    and save it with the name Login.mf in C drive where my project folder is also exists. Then run the following command:
    C:\>jar cvfm secl.jar Login.mf secl\*.class
    then, following error is shown:
    java.io.FileNotFoundException: Login.mf (The system cannot find the file specified)
    Then, I run the following command:
    C:\>reg query HKCR\jarfile\shell\open\command
    Then, I received the following msg:
    ! REG.EXE VERSION 3.0
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\jarfile\shell\open\command
    <NO NAME> REG_SZ "C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.1_03\bin\javaw.exe" -jar "%1" %*
    I think this msg says my files association is wrong. What is the meaning of this msg? My JAR file is created but Manifest file is not loading and main class is not read.Please help me about this.
    I am a self learner and there is no body here to help me.

    Hello Friends!
    I have successfully created the JAR file of my project with the Manifest File including my Main Class. I had just gave the following command:
    C:\>jar cfm secl.jar Manifest.txt secl/*.class
    and my jar file is created. But there is a problem, when I execute this jar file at command prompt by the following command:
    C:\>java -jar secl.jar
    the following error msg is shown:
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: secl/Login (wrong name: Login)
    And also when I execute it by double clicking it then the following error msg dialog box is shown:
    Could not find the main class.Program will exit!
    As you suggested, I gave the main class path in Manifest file as:
    Main Class: secl.Login
    but the same problem is still occurring.
    How can I solve this problem? Please help me.

  • Line missing in the Manifest file

    Hi,
    I've encountered a problem when creating a Manifest file. My file is named 'mymanifest.mf' and it's as below:
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Class-Path: .;htmlparser.jar;xerces.jar
    Main-Class: Mymainclass
    Then I type the command in the command-line window:
    jar -cvfm myjar.jar mymanifest.mf directory1 class1.class
    The jar file 'myjar.jar' is created and can be opened by winrar, but the MANIFEST.MF file in the META-INF directory is strange, it is as below:
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Created-By: 1.3.1 (Sun Microsystems Inc.)
    Class-Path: .;htmlparser.jar;xerces.jar
    and the 'Main-Class' line is missing. I change the position of 'Main-Class' line and 'Class-Path' line, still the one line in the bottom is missing. Would you please tell me the reason? Is my manifest file wrong? Thanks a lot!

    Hi,
    You have to end the file with a new-line. From the documentation:
    Be sure that any pre-existing manifest file that you use ends with a
    new line. The last line of a manifest file will not be parsed if it doesn't end with a new line character.

  • How to create a .f4m manifest files to play .FLV files

    I typically use .f4v files for my on demand playback media files, however I converted a .mov to a .flv file...  How do I create a .f4m and .m3u8 manifest file that plays .flv files?  Below is the code I normally use for the .f4m and .m3u8 files.  This works great with .f4v files.  I also included my player code.  What am I doing wrong?  The only difference is I'm using a .flv that I didn't use the f4vpp cleaner on..  That shouldn't give me the parse error I'm getting.

    to create a file in appl server you have to use open dataset and close data set..
    see the sample code
    REPORT zanid_test MESSAGE-ID zz .
    parameters:  FULLPATH(128) obligatory lower case
                          default 'E:\usr\sap\put\file.txt'.
    *you change the appl sever path as per your config.
    DATA : BEGIN OF list_asc OCCURS 0,
            msg(300) TYPE c,
           END OF list_asc.
    start-of-selection.
    *---populating data
    list_asc-msg = 'abcdefghijkl'. "your sample data
    append list_asc.
    list_asc-msg = 'faagoaagiagig'. "your sample data
    append list_asc.
    OPEN DATASET fullpath FOR OUTPUT IN TEXT MODE.
    LOOP AT LIST_ASC.
          TRANSFER  LIST_ASC-MSG TO fullpath.
          CLEAR LIST_ASC-MSG.
    ENDLOOP.
    CLOSE DATASET fullpath.
    now if you go to appl server , you will find that file in that specified path..
    to create a directory yu can go to transaction AL11 and click the 'konfigurieren'button, you then you can specify the directory attibutes to create a directory
    and to load a file from your loacl pc to appl server you can use transaction CG3Y also, instead of the abap code.
    plz rewrad points if it helps you.

  • How to load the original manifest file

    Hi I wrote an application. Is lanunched by webstart.
    In the original jar file is set an property like a Program-version:1.5
    after launching the application I can fread resources from "/resources/images/myimage", but I Cant read the from the manifest file.
    just 2 properties: Manifest version and oanother one.
    What can I do?

    You have right! That is one of the advantanges of saying a lot
    of things - I am regularly wrong, but the number
    of times I am right, outnumbers them!
    ( Also, when I am wrong, I get to find out..
    in public! ;)
    Image url =
    jar:http://www.theWebServer.com/file/path/myApplicatio
    n.jar!/resources/images/logo.png
    Manifest url =
    jar:file:/C:/Program%20Files/Java/jre1.6.0/lib/javaws.
    jar!/META-INF/MANIFEST.MF
    Is not the same! :-))
    It is true: The first time when I want to read the
    manifest file. And I never imagene before: I read my
    application image, and I cant read the same manifest
    :-))Good. It is not good that they are 'not the same',
    but that you are beginning to understand some
    of the traps and pitfalls, and ways to find out what
    is going wrong. That is progress.
    But if in my main static method if I call:
    Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader().getReso
    urce("/resources/images/logo.png")
    this URL is null !!
    Why?
    I know I should learn something about classloaders,
    but when is changed the jnlp loader to a "normal"
    classloader. when I launch only the .jar file I have
    no problems, but I need webstart! :-)I am surprised it worked from within main(),
    in a jar file - it usually would not work for loose
    classes off the local file system (but that is a
    whole other story, to do with classloaders).
    In any case, I think Caffeine0001 recently posted
    some source that should help out, here. Check out
    the source example he(/she) posted in this thread..
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?messageID=4510193
    It shows a way to find the actual file-system location
    of a resource (your image, in this case), from which we
    might construct an URL directly to the MANIFEST.MF
    that you actually need.
    Have a look/play with that source, and see if you
    can include it into your code, so that we can see
    where the image is being cached to.

  • Manifest.xml - Manifest file in Captivate 6

    Hello,
    I am publishing a course and uplaoding it to my LMS using SCORM 2004 and it says the Manifest file (manifest.xml) could not be found and the page thus cannot be found. Does anyone know how to fix this or could walk me through what I did wrong?

    If the Captivate publish dialog shows that it is zipping the files, then unzip one of them again yourself and see if you can see a file called imsmanifest.xml at the top level of the folder structure.

  • Need help with manifest file

    When I created a jar file with the -m option to insert a list of Name headers in my manifest file, only the last one in the list shows up in the manifest file when I unjar it. What am I doing wrong?

    i have used
    jar command it takes whatever specified in your own manifest information file into the meta-inf 's manifest file

  • FCP Files Will Not Open (File Error: Wrong Type)

    I have put together a few pieces using FCP and then unfortunately my LaCie HD got wiped. I was however able to recover all of my files (thank God) but when I go to open any previous FCP files, I get the error message "File Error: Wrong Type" once FCP is opened. I am wondering if there is any way to open these files somehow so I don't lose my work. Thank you.

    If they'll open in QuickTime, you could re export them, and thus rebuild them that way.
    Otherwise... recapture them. I'm not sure they couldn't be fixed, but more than likely the recovery process messed up the resource forks of these files. Might search in the QuickTime forum here for a fix for that??

  • Problem building swc that contains s:SolidColor with manifest file

    Hi all,
    I have a problem compiling a library with the command line compiler. The problem is that when I don't use a Manifest file, everything compiles as expected. When I specify a Manifest file for building my swc, I get an error "Could not resolve <s:SolidColor> to a component implementation".
    My library consists of one class, which is: Test.mxml
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <s:Group xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009" xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark">
      <s:Rect x="50" y="50" width="100" height="100">
        <s:fill>
          <s:SolidColor />
        </s:fill>
      </s:Rect>
    </s:Group>
    This is my Manifest.xml
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <componentPackage>
              <component id="Test" class="Test"/>
    </componentPackage>
    This commands gives no error and results in a swc successfully
    compc -output TestLibrary.swf -include-classes Test -source-path .
    This commands leads to the error "Could not resolve <s:SolidColor> to a component implementation"
    compc -output TestLibrary.swf -include-classes Test -source-path . -compiler.namespaces.namespace http://test Manifest.xml -include-namespaces http://test
    I think this is the correct way of creating an swc using a Manifest file. Is this correct (so this is a bug?) or am I doing something wrong?

    There's nothing about that VI I can imagine causing an error on build. You might try doing a force compile of your app to track it down. Try opening up your top level VI, hold CTRL+Shift and hit the run arrow at the same time. If it gives you a broken arrow, you can bring up the error list to try to find it. Maybe this will help locate the problem. If you haven't already, might not hurt to do a mass compile of the SPC VI's also.
