Manual script to create database for Access Manager installation

Hi,
Is it possible to perform new installation on OAM Access server in the database using manual methods (By running specific scripts). Without using GUI method to create the component databases?
The databases for the OAM will be manually created, What are the list of scripts that needs to be run against the database which are responsible for creating the "OAM-Coreid Access" component?
Does not find the informationin the installation guide.

I have found the script(rw_server.sql). I want to known who will be the owner of objects which i will create with this script.

Problems with Sybase Database for Collection Manager in SCE2020

We have problems with Sybase Database for Collection Manager in a SCE2020. The status is:

We restored the Sybase database, but we have problems to access the database from Collection Manager and we can't obtain reports from SCE 2020.

Use
Check the connection to function Solution Manager Diagnostics.
Default Settings
The function Solution Manager Diagnostics is installed on the Java instance of the Solution Manager system by default.
Activities
If the default values are correct, save the settings.
To run the Solution Manager Diagnostics in another system, enter the required data and save.
Also check that your java is active.

For Oracle Applications 11i on W2K, where might I find a script to create synonyms for all of the application tables? I would think there would be a standard script somewhere in one of the directories created during the install or on the CDs.

John, it is ssome sort of a bleed, but in this case it's not the part that 'might be cut off' that matters; it's the part that still needs to be on the page. Yes, I meant it to be (virtually) not-noticeable for the casual reader. Of course you can make it part of the page design, that ought to ease up matters.
The amount pages shift horizontally because of binding is called "creep", and this depends on the type of binding and the thickness of the paper. You cannot adjust for creep unless you know exactly how much this is and how your book is going to be printed and bound.

This was a simple outlined text, not an image. Through the inaccuracies of printing and binding combined, there were no straight edges *anywhere* but fortunately the lines were thick enough to let you mentally connect them
This was done (I'm sure) with the method you proposed.
There is an alternative way, but it's way more expensive (on the other hand, the result is impressive): after the entire process of printing, binding, and cutting, books are put in a clamp one at a time and fed through a silk screen printer, fore edge on top, and printed with whatever you like.
I know of the existance of this technique but I haven't seen a book done like this in years and have no clue at all of the costs involved (writing that down in one sentence makes me realize those two might be connected).

I have successfully configured loadbalancing with Sun LB plugin that comes with AppServer.

The steps I followed are :
1. add the LB vip to orginatination-alias,
2. donot add the LB vip to platform as stated in the doc. jst add am1 and am2 hosts to platform.
3. update /etc/opt/SUNWam/config/AMConfig.properties and update only the following attrib. Donot touch any other attrib.
com.sun.identity.server.fqdnMap[LB-vip]=LB-vip
for ex:
com.sun.identity.server.fqdnMap[lb.am.sun.com]=lb.am.sun.com
The doc u listed is misleading and needs to be taken down.
See ticket that I mentioned above. I wasted like 4 weeks trying to get this working and in the end it turned out to be a bad documentation.

Access manager installation on solaris zone

Hi
I have installed the Access manager 7.0, Sun java system app server 8.1, Sun sirectory server 5.2 through JES installer on solaris 10 zone AM55-zone. Installer summarry is below, which shows installtion complete without error, but I am not able to launch the amserver login page.
Any suggestion, what I did wrong? any thoughts?

I guess it is hardware key. Go to the Tcode slicense and there you will be able to find out the active hardware key. Take it!!

Script to Create Database from an Existing One

I believe there is way to generate a script for re-creating a database from an existing database. But I forgot how. Anyone can Help. Thanks.

Run the dbca.bat which in the oracle installer,
In the last option you will get two options
1)to create database
2)create the script
Here generate the script and run it in sql,
Before that create the oracleservice and connect to the instance
and run the script.

Unable to open Database: TrueSuite Access Manager

Every time I attempt to register fingerprints in the TrueSuite Access Manager, I receive an error that states that it failed to open the specific database.

Hi there, I have the same problem on a Portege R500, short history:
1. Vista was installed with BIOS and HDD password + fingerprint - worked fine
2. Installed XP with the recovery image, re-formatting the HDD
3. The BIOS and HDD fingerprint was accepted (!) - i.e. he remembered the fingerprints on the board
4. But the Windows welcome screen showed "please wait"
5. New installation of actual version of True Suite Software did not help
6. When running the Access Manager and trying to record new fingerprints, it shows "error: database not found"
7. Another observation: clicking delete fingerprint reveals a fingerprint with a scrambled name, it can't be deleted
8. Ignoring the fingerprint reader works (on BIOS, HDD and Windows logon)
9. I believe it would have been better to delete the BIOS and HDD fingerprint in Vista before installing XP. Now there is an inconsistency between the fingerprints on the board and in the Software database - does that help?

How to Extract CREATE DATABASE for 10g?

I've seen utilities that will re-create the full 'CREATE DATABASE' syntax for a 8i or 9i database. I'd like to do the same thing for 10g that understands the features of 10g like SYSAUX and other new features. I looked at DBMS_METADATA but it doesn't really cover the CREATE DATABASE syntax.
Has any seen a routine to extract CREATE DATABASE syntax for a 10g database?

Unable to create Database for new planning Application

Hi all,
I have Created a New planning application on Planning 11.1.1.3 using workspace.
When i'm trying to create a database through administration -> Manage Database , im getting error saying
com.hyperion.planning.planning.HspCubeRefreshInProgressException: Cannot complete your request because the database is being refreshed.
I tried Unlocking the application, using HspUnlockApp.cmd and it is returning a error, and im also unable find the HSP_LOCK Table
Please let me know ur suggestions

Hi,
There is definitely a table called HSP_LOCK in the planning applications repository, are you sure you are looking in the correct place.
Anyway there is also a utility (HspUnlockApp) in the \planning\bin directory that should unlock the app and will save you having to mess around with any tables, more details :- http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/hp_admin/ch04s02.html

Possible to use ServiceCenter's Oracle database for Content Management?

I have a quick question, and I would really appreciate if any of you have a quick answer for me.
My company is sourcing for a Content Management option as a complement to the object information that can be stored in ServiceCenter's CMDB. We are working towards a complete information storage solution, where the CMDB is the obvious master for all object information.
Our ServiceCenter/CMDB solution is run on an Oracle database. We have an interest in possibly using an Oracle Content Management solution on top of the existing Oracle database.
A question was raised if the Content Management solution can use ServiceCenter's Oracle database for storing documents, ie act as a Content Management database?
The documents need to be fully searchable from Oracle's Content Management product. The solution should support storage of a large amount of data and documents and be scalable. It is critical that this in no way lower ServiceCenter's performance.
Please bear in mind that I'm not a technician, but involved in the portal/Content Management aspect of the project. I'm also responsible for the user environment of our ServiceCenter-implementation.

Are you going to use the same ERP server for Content server as well? Are you planning to store the documents of this ECC system to the content server only?
If yes, what is the use of that, Anyways all the documents will be stored on this server only for this ECC system. Please go through the link given by Mr Saxena above, that will give you a clear picture of how the content server works.
You can install content server with Max DB although you already have oracle installed on your linux server.
I would suggest you to check the stuff about content server and get your concepts cleared up before going ahead. if you are not clear, you may end up crashing your existing ERP system as well.

URL Protection for Access Manager

I am setting up some policies in Access Manager, and have the following requirements :-
URL pattern https://www.whitepages.com/* needs to be accessed by all users in my LDAP store.
URL pattern https://www.whitepages.com/admin/* needs to be accessed by only users who have role as 'Admin' in the LDAP.
From the SUN docs it appears like "The lower URI pattern take priority".
So, if i protect https://www.whitepages.com/* with a role i cannot restrict only the admin users to https://www.whitepages.com/admin/*
So, is there a way i can acheive this.

You can do it this way.

rule: https://www.whitepages.com/* allow subject: all LDAP users
policy2:
rule: https://www.whitepages.com/admin/* deny
subject: exclusive admin role
(there is an option to exclude certain users from the subject) while applying policy.
