Manually enter or change Tax rates

Dear SAP Experts
Is it possible to change or manually enter the tax percentage(Tax rates)in sales order or in invoice.Becoz whatever we maintain in FTXP that will be copied into the sales order. But in sales order i want to cange the existing rate.
I have already tried to set Manual entry   C in Tax condition types settings and also select Amount/Percent. But its not working.
Regards
Debasish

Dear Debashis,
As the experts say its not advisable....but I too had a similar requirement....Pl check the below may be it will be useful for you...
1. You can use the Alt Tax class in Sales order header--Billing tab or else
2. Mark the condition type - Manual entry has priority
3. Mark against the condition type in the pricing procedure as condition determined manually.
4. Set the copy controls for the itemcategory...VTFL - Pricing type - D (Copy pricing elements unchanged)
Becoz there is every chance that manual entries may not be copied into the Invoice if it is changes in the sales order
Hope this helps

  • Tax rates to be changes in scheduling agreement

I have lots of scheduling agreement which have been released as well. Now as per the new budget, we created new condition records and maintained new tax rates (excise duty from 12 to 12.50%).
we have a z program to perform GRN and it has logic written at SA line items basis so whenever we are doing GRN, it is picking old tax rates.
Is there a way i can change tax rates in PO/SA.
    any function module is available.

    we created new condition records
Any configuration change will not have any impact on existing documents.  Having said this, if you have created a new condition type and added to your existing pricing procedure, it won't work for existing schedule agreements.  You need to foreclose those and create new scheduling agreements.  On the other hand, if there is a change in value, you can very well predate the existing condition record and create a new condition record with the revised structure.  Once you done this, you can carry out mass price change

  • How to enter condition wise tax amount manually in MIR7 & MIRO?

We have a PO with a tax code entered in it.
but while parking invoice in MIR7, we want to enter condition wise tax amount manully which is different than calculated tax amount through tax code and subsequently we want the same manual tax amount to be displayed in MIRO also
I tried to enter amount for each condition in 'Detail' screen of 'Tax' tab in MIR7,
but at the time of simulating, amount calculated as per tax code is only shown and not the amount entered by me
'Calculate Tax' checkbox is not selectd in this case.
Can anybody tell me how to enter condition wise tax amount manully in MIR7 & MIRO and post an accounting entry with this manually entered tax amount?

    Hi,
i checked their is no unplanned delivery cost and in FV13 tax is 12.5%. In FTXP No Tax Percent rates.

  • Changes in Service Tax Rate from 12% to 10% from 24th Feb 2009

    Dear All SAP Consultants
In our Company we are using JSRT ,JEC3 & JES3 Condition type, for calculation of S.Tax, Cess & H,Cess respectively, for Service Tax Calculation. We have maintain above Condition through FV11 [Maintain Condition Type for Vendor]  12%, 2% & 1%. to the Vendor, up to validity date 01-04-2008 to 23 Feb 09 and as per the changes declare by Government, we have maintain it 10% 2% & 1% from validity period 24.02.009 to 31.12.9999.
But, when we post the entry through FI through the FB60 [Vendor Invoice] with Document Date which is before 24 Feb 2009 and Posting is Current date for Last month Invoices, which is include Service Tax Rate 12%. at that time system should have take the 12% service tax, but it is taking  10% as per new condition was maintain to the vendor.
How, we post the Invoices which is include the 12% S.Tax through FI with Document Date  is before 24.02.2009 and Posting Date is Current Date.
    Thanks & Regards
    Abhijeet R. Walke

    Hi Abhijeet,
It picks up on the basis of posting date and not document date.
Enter posting date before 23 feb.

  • Extended Withholding Tax Rate change at invoice Level

    Hello Every One
We are implementing Extended Witholding TAx in US.
    How can i achieve Below
    Requirement 1:
At the time of invoice the business want to override the Tax rate, but i am not sure how it will happen since tax rate % is defined in tax codes and tax codes are assigned in the vendor master?  The reason for this is that if one vendor has existence in two different countries  then our company will with held tax at different rate.
My Solution: I will define one tax code with 100% rate and then if the that vendor has to be deducted at 30% rate. Then in the vendor master in the exemption % field they can put 70%, so at the time of invoice it will be calculated 30%, but the draw back of this is that it has to be maintained by the master data team  and the invoice clerk cannot do it right away if the requirement gets changed. (if someone has other than this please let me know)
    Requirement 2:
How we can with hold tax at line item level, is it possible?
for example if we receive an invoice from a vendor for 2000$. Out of 2000$ $1200 is belong to service which is taxable and 800$ is belong Material which is not taxable.
    Requirement 3.
What will be the configuration setups of with holding tax account in FS03

  • You cannot enter -0% in tax percent rate transaction FTXP

I cannot enter -0% in tax percent rate. The system deletes the negative sing and leaves 0%

I may be wrong but I don't know if we have anything called negative 0% (-0%).  What effect do you really think -0% would have on any tax calculation?

  • How to deal with Tax Rate Changes

    Dear All,
Suppose we have one tax code XY with tax rate 10.30 %.
And after budget it gets changed to suppose 12.36% from 10.30%, so in that case how to deal with this situation.
Do we need to create new tax code or we should do the changes in existing tax code.
Also if we have open PO's with old tax code, what will we the effect in those PO's for both the cases (with new tax code or changes in existing tx code).
    Thanks

If you change the existing tax code, all the open POs with the old tax rate will be changed to the new rate. So. if any of your vendor gives an invoice with reference to an open PO with old tax rate (Invoice raised before tax rate change and received at your place after tax rate change) you will not be able to make the GR due to tax rate difference. So, before changing the tax rate, make sure that there is no old invoice pending to do GR or IR and also there is no material in transit.
If you are creating a new tax code, you can create new POs and receive the material based on that POs. If any material received against the old POs you can post with old tax rates. But, discuss with your FI person of there is any issues regarding statutory requirements with Excise / Tax authorities.

  • How can I manually enter MIDI channel number in Control Surface expert Value Change field?

I am creating a software interface for a multidimensional controller which can transmit many linear values at the same time. I can not use Learn mode because it always sends data from all sources, but I can split them by MIDI channels. I would like to manually enter controlling values into Control Surface expert view.
I seem to be able only to input the message, but not MIDI channel on which it is transmitted.

Stupid me, it's hex... so 80 is Note Off ch 1, 90 Note On ch 1 etc

  • CIN - J1ID TAX RATE MAINTAINED VALIDITY DATE (INDIAN SCENARIO)

IN INDIA TAX RATES CHANGE DURING EVERY YEARS BUDGET. EXCISE AND CUSTOMS DUTY CHANGE FROM MARCH WHEREAS SALES TAX CHANGES FROM APRIL. THIS TIME DUE TO RECESSION AND ELECTION THE EXCISE DUTY STRUCTURE WAS CHANGED THRICE FROM DEC 2008 TILL DATE. FROM 14 TO 10 AND NOW 8%. IN CIN DATA (J1ID) THE TAX RATES ARE ALSO TO BE MAINTAINED. NOW THE TAX RATE IS STORING DIFFERENT VALIDITY DATES. THIS AFFECTS THE POSTING OF MIRO AND MIGO. WHILE POSTING THE DOCUMENT IT CONSIDERS THE POSTING DATE AND APPLIES THE TAX RATE AS PER THAT DATE. YOU HAVE PENDING DOCUMENTS WHERE THE TAX RATE IS DIFFERENT THAN THE CURRENT DATE. IS THERE A SOLUTION SO THAT TAX RATES ARE CORRECTLY PICKED.

    HI,
The condition type has nothing to do with the consignment settlement. The factor which influence for
consignment settlement thro MRKO is the price u have given in PIR,PB00 & the tax code which u have
entered in the PIR tax code tab.It is no way connected to the vendor master. So if the tax code is
changing for different time period ask them to change manually.

  • All activity prices are manually entered (Message no. KP211  )

    Dear All,
I have maintained Activity Rates through KP26. On Activity Master I have set Act. price indicator = 5.
Now when i am executing KSII it is giving me error message as :
All activity prices are manually entered
    Message no. KP211
    Diagnosis
All activity prices in controlling area FLGP, fiscal year 2011, and version 0 were determined and set as manually entered prices.
In actual price calculation, all plan activity prices, meaning those calculated automatically (activity price indicator 1 and 2) and those set manually (activity price indicator 3), are treated as if they have been set manually.
    System Response
The SAP System cannot calculate activity prices automatically.
    Processing is cancelled.
    Procedure
Check your activity type planning. To calculate the activity price automatically, you must set the activity price indicator accordingly.
    Proceed
Please let me know if I need to done any additional settings.
    Br, Vivek Srivastava

    Hi Vivek,
"The error message KP211 is display by the system due
to the SAP System cannot calculate activity prices automatically.
(can you review the settings in the system).
The procedure that you have to follow is to review transaction code
    KP26 and your activity types.
From viewpoint of actual price iteration all plan prices are political
in the sense that 'prices does not change during actual price
iteration'.  If all activity types have indicator 1 then everything
will be evaluated with plan price in actual.  So actual price iteration
has nothing to compute because no price will be changed.  You have to
set price indicator to 5 or 6 in actual price indicator for at least
one activity type in order to calculate the actual activity price.
When you change some activity type master data in transaction KL02,
these changes take effect in all relevant tables, BUT please notice
that the values of TARKZ, TARKZ_I etc. are only DEFAULT values for
activity planning and therefore ONLY READ ONCE when the relevant
planning set is created. Subsequent changes to the master data (default
value) take not effect in the planning sets. You have to change the
values in every single planning set manually."
You indicates that for the activity types you have set in the master data
actual price indicator to 5 (Actual price, automatically based on
on activity). But this is only a default value and can be overwritten
    for example during planning.
Please see table COKL for cost center / activity type if have an empty field for
the actual price indicator. Thus the system only finds the plan price
indicators during price calculation and message KP 211 is justified if
you consider the following part of the long text:
In actual price calculation, all plan activity prices, meaning those
calculated automatically (activity price indicator 1 and 2) and
those set manually (activity price indicator 3), are treated as if they
    have been set manually.
In order to run KSII as expected by you, you have to execute trans.
KP26 for the cost center and activity type  using layout 1-204
    (Activity Types: Indicators).
Here you can set the actual price indicator to 5.
Afterwards there should be no further problem with KSII.
    I hope helps,
    Regards,

  • PU19 - Adobe form Tax rates ISSUE

When the tax reporter is executed for a tax authority, tax rate is displayed in the ADOBE form. Where as our business needs the change in the current tax rate value. The associated tax type for the respective ADOBE form is not maintained either in BTXRATE table or T5UTX table. So,Please help me out where I can change the tax rate when tax type is not maintained in BTXRATE or T5UTX.
    Regards,
    Kamala

    Hello Kamala,
The SUI use the values maintained by your payroll and populate the PCL4 cluster to generate the report, if want to change the
rates of this employee, you should do a manual entry in Tax Reporter, you need to click on the menu item utilities and then select manual entries. If you would like more information on manual entries, you can refer to the year end guide for Tax Reporter available on service.sap.com/hrusa.

  • Table of tax rate percent from FTXP

Can any one tell the table name to find Tax Rate Percent, to post the same Tcode is FTXP.

    Hi,
Tax codes have to be manually exported from source client (DEV) and then imported into the target clients (QA, PRD).
Please read OSS note 605537 and F1 help below for further information.
Important note on transporting tax codes -> F1
    Message no. F4794
    Diagnosis
Transporting tax codes requires manual postprocessing. This postprocessing is also necessary if tax codes have to be transported from one client to another within the system.
    Procedure
When tax codes are transported, only the tax rates of the tax codes are transported.
The transport of tax codes between systems or clients is carried out in two steps:
    1. step:
Export of tax codes from the source system or source client
    2. step:
Import of tax codes into the target system or target client
    Export
    1. In Customizing for Financial Accounting Global Settings in the source system or client, select Tax on Sales/Purchases -> Calculation -> Define Tax Codes for Sales and Purchases.
    2. Select Tax code -> Transport -> Export.
    3. Assign the export to the corresponding transport order, and note the order number.
    4. Select and save the tax codes to be transported.
    5. Make sure that the tax codes selected are marked with the transport number in table T007V.
To check the table, in the SAP menu, select Tools -> ABAP Workbench -> Overview -> Data Browser.
Enter the table name. The tax codes are in field MWSKZ and the tax jurisdiction codes are in fields TXJCD.
    6. Carry out the transport into the target system.
To do this, in the SAP menu, select Tools -> ABAP Workbench -> Overview -> Workbench Organizer -> Environment -> Customizing Organizer.
    Import
    1. Make sure that the tax codes to be transported are selected in table T007V in the target system or target client.
    2. In Customizing for Financial Accounting Global Setting in the source system or client, select Tax on Sales/Purchases -> Calculation -> Define Tax Codes for Sales and Purchases.
    3. Create the tax codes that do not already exist in the target system.
Create them complete, but without tax percentage rates.
If you set internal systems in company codes in the USA or Canada, the corresponding tax jurisdiction codes should also exist. You can make the settings for these in Customizing for Financial Accounting Global Settings under Tax on Sales/Purchases -> Basic Settings -> Define Tax Jurisdiction Codes.
    4. Select Tax code -> Transport -> Import.
    5. Check the proposed values for the transport order and country.
    6. Carry out the import.
Notes for the transport of tax accounts
When you transport tax codes between different systems or clients, no tax accounts are transported.
Adjust the tax accounts in the source and target system (or source and target client) manually.

    Naresh.
