Changes in Service Tax Rate from 12% to 10% from 24th Feb 2009

Dear All SAP Consultants
In our Company we are using JSRT ,JEC3 & JES3 Condition type, for calculation of S.Tax, Cess & H,Cess respectively, for Service Tax Calculation. We have maintain above Condition through FV11 [Maintain Condition Type for Vendor]  12%, 2% & 1%. to the Vendor, up to validity date 01-04-2008 to 23 Feb 09 and as per the changes declare by Government, we have maintain it 10% 2% & 1% from validity period 24.02.009 to 31.12.9999.
But, when we post the entry through FI through the FB60 [Vendor Invoice] with Document Date which is before 24 Feb 2009 and Posting is Current date for Last month Invoices, which is include Service Tax Rate 12%. at that time system should have take the 12% service tax, but it is taking  10% as per new condition was maintain to the vendor.
How, we post the Invoices which is include the 12% S.Tax through FI with Document Date  is before 24.02.2009 and Posting Date is Current Date.
Thanks & Regards
Abhijeet R. Walke

Hi Abhijeet,
It picks up on the basis of posting date and not document date.
Enter posting date before 23 feb.

  • Service Order+Service tax with Consumption of material(Vatable) from vendor

    Dear All ,
We have a service scenario at my client . My client is sending some material for service work. The vendor during service work adds some conponents(vatable) and sends it back to client .
What I suggest is to create a Material with material type non stock NLAG . Then create a service PO with 2 lines . First with cost centre/service assignment and with tax code service tax. Second with this non stock line item with tax code VAT .
I am making it nonstock as this is consumed immediately at vendor end .
Is this the right approach to do it ?
              Anybody kindly Reply .

  • Change web service refresh rate

I'm running LabVIEW Web Service with an application which follow the method shown in the weather monitor example. But my problem facing here is I need to keep click the refresh button then the Web Service only can update the latest data for me. So can anyone help me to show example on how to let the Web Service webpage automatically update the value without press the refresh button. Thank you
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

First of all your client needs to support it. If you use the LabVIEW HTTP Client (GET.vi and so on) you cannot use this method. A normal browser should.
Take a look at FindContacts.vi from the Address Book example.
The help topic linked in the previous post should get you on the way as well. The infos are a bit scattered all over help file but it should be possible to understand it.
Basically there are two output options for a web service VI: Terminal mode as used in the Weather example and Stream mode as used in the Address Book example VI.
Use the Stream mode and construct the HTML page yourself, then send it to the browser with Write Response.vi. Somewhere in the top of the HTML page you need to insert
    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="5">
So you should return a string like
    <HEAD>
    <TITLE>my title</TITLE>
    <META http-equiv="refresh" content="5">
    </HEAD>
    <BODY>
    <P>If your browser supports Refresh,
this page refreshes in 5 seconds.
And add some real contents here
    </BODY>
     See W3C as well.
    Good luck

    Hi,
Note 1435105 - Master note for Indian Budget 2010 for Logistics (MM & SD) - this was the master note for impementing the service tax.
But now as service tax regulations have changed we need not configure the old service tax postings i.e postings to interim service tax accounts.
As and when the service is invoiced directly it can be booked to Service Tax Payable/Receivable accounts, previously the postings were made to Service Tax Payable/Receivable Interim Accounts. Later the amounts of the interim accounts were transferred when the invoice is paid.
Note 1571186 - Changes to Service Tax from Indian Union Budget 2011-2012 - please find the latest note on this.
In the above note there is zip file attached which expalins about the changes to be done and about the old postings.
    thanks & regards,

  • CIN: How to transfer service tax credit from interim a/c to final a/c.

    Hi,
When a service vendor raises an invoice on our company we post the vendor invoice. At that time the service tax paid goes to the interim service tax a/c.
When we make payment to the vendor the Service tax credit balance is transfered from interim a/c to final service tax a/c. The final service tax a/c is then used for utilization of service tax to be paid for output services.
The transfer of service tax credit from interim a/c to final a/c happens when i run the report S_AC0_52000644(Deferred tax transfer), but from April 2011 this is not happening?
Any idea on why the service tax credit from interim a/c is not getting transferd to final servic tax a/c?
When i run the report it shows list contains no items?

    Dear Sanjay,

    2. when i'm running program  S_AC0_52000644 system saying for selected company code no deferred tax. what is the problem ?
    3. how can i clear the service tax open item witch is posted Dr at the time of invoice? what is the process ?

  • Additonal service tax amount to be paid to vendor

    HI All,
The scenario is like this :-
We have prepared a Service Purchase Order for which service entry sheet, invoice verification and payment has been processed in the system with service tax @ 2.06% in june 2008.
But due to change in the service tax rate, the vendor has made an additional demand of service tax @ 4.12% on the SES process earlier. Hence we have to pay him a difference amount of service tax.
Can anyone suggest how to process this in MM.
    Thanks in advance.

HI, i think 2 possible ways are there.
    1. Post the difference amount to service tax G/L Dr & vendor CR throgh FI JV posting and do vendor payment. or
    2. create Credit memo for privious miro and Cancel the Previous service entry sheet and do the fresh SES & MIRO after changing the values in PO.

  • Service tax reverse mechanism

    Dear all,
How to configure the Service tax reverse mechanism.
Pls advise below how to configure below scenario
    Bill of Vendor -
    Service cost
           100,000.00
Add. Service tax @12.36% of service cost
    12360
    Bill value
          112,360.00
Vendor provide bill as amount show above
    So entry will be
    Expenses a/c
          112,360.00
    cenvet not taken
    Vendor a/c
         -106,180.00
100% of Basis value + 50% of duty amount
    Service tax payable *
             -6,180.00
As we have to pay 50 % of the service tax
    So 50% of [112360*12.36/(100+12.36) i.e. vendor bill amount*service tax rate/(100+service tax rate)]
and venodr a/c is to be credited with Rs. 106,180 (112,360 - 6,180)

  • Service tax Calculation 10.1%

    Hello
I want to calculate service tax 10.1%..........what are the settings required for it......
    regrads

    Hi,
You can create the tax code in FTXP and maintain the percentage of tax against the acct key STX, SEC, SSE.
The current existing service tax rate is 10.3% (inclusive of Cess portions).
Since in your case, the tax rate to be maintained is 10.1%, is it something proportionate to the reduction of the base amount. In that case, you can maintain the tax percentages proportionately in the mentioned accounting keys

  • Tax Rate for CENVAT definition

    Hi,
I am creating a taxcode for CENVAT+CST.  I have the combination like this:
                                                BED=10% on Total
                                                Cess 2% on BED
                                                 HSCess 1% on BED
CST 2% ON Total+ BED Taxamount.
In the righthand top of the tax definition window the taxrate is showing as 15%.(1021+2 CST).
But actually it shoulbe 12.3%.In the documents the tax amounts are showing correctly. Can you explain this 15%?
    Regards,
    S.G.Sekar

    Hi S.G.Sekar....
There is no difference between what SAP is showing and what is your concept of Tax Rates.
Both are same from Calculation Point of view.
Generally tax person says 10.3 as Excise which includes 1021......
Basically the concept is on BED 10 % 2cess and 1 HSCess is being calculated which is nothing but 10.3 where 10 is for BED ans 3 is for 2+3
But in SAP terms it is 1021 and CST 2 means total 15....
Both way it is correct that is why the calculation is coming perfect......
So dont worry it is all OK......

  • Witholding tax rates

    Dear All,
How do we change the applicable rate of witholding tax to a existing vendor if there is a change in the tax rates at Macro level.
    Kindly give solution.
    Thanks

    Dear,
    be aware that:
SAP provides with the report RFWT0010, just is case the WT type should change.
If I understand well Your question, You're talikng about to change the rate that is defined into the WT codes.
Unfortunately RFWT0010 is not designed to change withholding tax code.
The only thing you can do for open items is to define a new combination
of withholding tax type and withholding tax code in the vendor master
data (instead of a new w/tax code) and run report RFWT0010 afterwards.
However, in open items, it should be possible to change the w/tax code
    using transaction FB02 for invoices.
    I hope this helps You.

  • Regarding service tax invoice creation in SAP SD

    Hi,
Currently we are using ECC6 EHP4 where my client require separate service tax invoice generation as like excise invoice generation in J1iin. is it possible in ECC6 ehp4? client has excise registration
if possible what are the steps involved in it?

    Hi,
The reason for asking a seperate invoice for service tax may be because the client wants to utilize the service tax.
Other wise there is no need to create separate invoice for service tax. Invoice can be created from VF01 with service tax condition type included in the pricing procedure.
    please check these links

  • Extended Withholding Tax Rate change at invoice Level

    Hello Every One
We are implementing Extended Witholding TAx in US.
    How can i achieve Below
    Requirement 1:
At the time of invoice the business want to override the Tax rate, but i am not sure how it will happen since tax rate % is defined in tax codes and tax codes are assigned in the vendor master?  The reason for this is that if one vendor has existence in two different countries  then our company will with held tax at different rate.
My Solution: I will define one tax code with 100% rate and then if the that vendor has to be deducted at 30% rate. Then in the vendor master in the exemption % field they can put 70%, so at the time of invoice it will be calculated 30%, but the draw back of this is that it has to be maintained by the master data team  and the invoice clerk cannot do it right away if the requirement gets changed. (if someone has other than this please let me know)
    Requirement 2:
How we can with hold tax at line item level, is it possible?
for example if we receive an invoice from a vendor for 2000$. Out of 2000$ $1200 is belong to service which is taxable and 800$ is belong Material which is not taxable.
    Requirement 3.
What will be the configuration setups of with holding tax account in FS03
    Best Regards

  • Tax rates to be changes in scheduling agreement

I have lots of scheduling agreement which have been released as well. Now as per the new budget, we created new condition records and maintained new tax rates (excise duty from 12 to 12.50%).
we have a z program to perform GRN and it has logic written at SA line items basis so whenever we are doing GRN, it is picking old tax rates.
Is there a way i can change tax rates in PO/SA.
    any function module is available.

    we created new condition records
Any configuration change will not have any impact on existing documents.  Having said this, if you have created a new condition type and added to your existing pricing procedure, it won't work for existing schedule agreements.  You need to foreclose those and create new scheduling agreements.  On the other hand, if there is a change in value, you can very well predate the existing condition record and create a new condition record with the revised structure.  Once you done this, you can carry out mass price change
