Map isn't moving...

So... Earlier today everything was working as before, but now when I try to use my mouse to move my map around in Places, it just grabs a tile. It's acting like the map is just a giant picture made out of smaller square pictures.
Before, I could grab the map and move it around and use my scroll wheel to zoom in and out. For some reason, I can't do that know? Does anyone know why that might be??
Also, I noticed in the bottom left, the "Powered by Google" logo is no longer there.

After deleting the plist and once again being able to zoom and pan Google maps and to "Find on map," I've tried only gradually reconfiguring iPhoto to how it was when the problems arose, hoping to discover the user configurable options that cause them. I was not able to provoke the problem by configuring any option in the preferences. The problems seem related to something iPhoto does to preserve the application state when I quit iPhoto. It seems that, as long as I do not quit in the Places view AND as long as I do not uncheck "Show this window when iPhoto opens" in the Welcome to iPhoto window, I can quit iPhoto, restart it, and the maps are fine. Just not quitting in the Places view is not sufficient. Eventually the problems reoccur. It also seems that, to regain the use of Google maps, it is sufficient to recheck the "Show this window ..." option in Help/Welcome to iPhoto AND to close iPhoto in a view other than Places.

Find my iphone map no longer moving and scrolling as before

I have tried this question on another forum where someone else had the same problem, but there's been no further response, so I'll try my luck here.
I regularly use Find my iPhone to keep track of my autistic son, who has an iPhone 4, when he is out with his support worker. For the last couple of months when using the app the map no longer moves and centres itself automatically to the whereabouts of the green dot when the phone is located, so I therefore have to hunt around to where I expect he may be. Also the map no longer zooms in and out as before using the mouse wheel. Instead I have to use the buttons in the corner of the map.
It happens on both Chrome and IE browsers on Windows 8.1, and all software/apps are up to date.

I have a few games with quite a few hours invested, and I worry that I'll lose the progress I have as they do not save to the cloud. I may have to bite the bullet, and just take the plunge to resolve this. I just want a way to easily transfer my "Home Computer" for my iPhone. My laptop is years old and in need of being replaced, and it's about time to upgrade my phone. These life events piling up are making me consider switching to a friendlier OS. I'm not using this as a threat. I just hope some apple high up will read this, and realize that we need alternatives. Life happens.
Thank you both Paul and Lawrence. I clicked "This helped me" not knowing it would remove the option to choose "This fixed my problem" too. For anyone else reading this thread. Using the guide provided has done both. It has helped me and given me a fix to my current problem. Lawrence has also provided me with the last bit of information I feel is missing from wjosten's guide. That syncing will completely erase all of your data and reinstall it in one fell swoop. It's a great fix. Even if it isn't the exact one I wanted. Thank you again!

Desired effect: narrow line across map with a moving spot

Here's what I'd like to do. I want to show a journey on a map by having a bright little spot moving along the road. I drew a black line along the road on a clear transparent sheet on top of the map, scanned it, and then used the video filter >channel>invert to make this line white on a black background. So, I have the route (a curving line matching the roadway) on a separate clip on V2 above the map on V1. The scales and alignment are not a problem. I have tried applying the alpha and luma travel mattes to make the black transparent (to show the background map). Also, I want to leave the white line transparent and use the moving highlight effect that I have successfully learnt from pages 295ff of Tom's manual.
I imagine that I would need two travel mattes, one alpha and the other luma, but I'm not having any success with the layering in the video tracks.
Could anyone suggest the next steps I should take please? I'd appreciate any suggestions if anyone has achieved this effect before. Thank you. Keith

In a bit of a rush but here is some help -
Place the full Map BG on V1.
Place the white line you made on V2.
Place a solid color from the Generator Button > Matte > Color on V3. Double click on the clip on V3 and set the controls to white or whatever color you want you line to be.
Now Control click on the clip on V3 and from the drop down menu choose Composite Mode > Travel Matte Luma, and as soon as you click that you should see your line appear without background over the map on V1.
To animate the map, keyframe the crop controls on V2 to have the line grow in the direction of travel.
Once you get that set, get a soft oval from Generator Button > Shapes > Oval and edit that to V4. Double click on it and set the size, softness, and color you want your leading "spot" to be. Don't worry about position right now. The bigger you make it, the easier it will be to track the line below. Once you get the approx. size, softness, color, then control click on the clip of the oval on V4 and from the drop down menu choose Composite Mode > Add.
Now you should have a soft glowing oval.
Next at position keyframes that track the line movement that is being shown on V3 but caused by the crop keyframes on V2.

Maps isn't working correctly

I open my maps but I cannot see roads, the only thing i see is a beige screen with an exclemation mark that is my location, more or less.
I can't find ANYTHING nearby.
What can I do to be able to see roads and find stores, etc, nearby?
I work on a pre-paid service, do I need to join a network like AT&T?
I read somewhere on this forum about re-formatting my phone, can some1 help me out???

IPhone 4 GSM Updated to iOS 6.0 and the Maps isn't showing the 3D button? Is it not available in Canada? How do I enable it? Pleas help!

I just updated my iPhone 4 to 6.0, and when I launch maps, the 3D button and compass arrow are there in the corner, but when the App actually loads, it disappears... Is it not available in Canada? Is there any way I can enable it???

I would wager the 3GS and 4 don't have the CPU to handle the rendering they were showing on the keynote. Must be one of the reasons 6 won't support the original iPad either, which has the same CPU as the 4.

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, the Mac does not see the iOS device in AirDrop. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

When you select AirDrop, OS X looks for other Mac computers and devices that are nearby that also use AirDrop. If you don't see someone in the AirDrop window, here are some things to check.

My iPhone 4s is frozen up and will not charge...screen is dark! The only thing that's partially lit is the little circle of slashes in the middle and it isn't moving!

My iPhone 4s is only about a month old and is not responding when I plugged it in to charge....screen went dark and a delayed screech and it still is not responding! I unplugged the charger and the screen in still dark, but has a little circle of slash marks in the center is not moving...only a few slash marks
are lighted up(not progressing as usual)! Has anyone had this kind of problem? I don't know what to do...it's like frozen up!!

That does happen. It depends on how hard the server is being hit, as well as the connection speed of your system. If you are on a windows system, you will want to disable any antivirus or firewall software during the download.

ITunes isn't moving the music to the right folder.

I direct it to D:\Music and it creates and puts it in D:\Music\Music, if I put it in D:\ it will put the music in D:\. It won't do D:\Music. Anyone know the issue?

Interestingly I just checked my phone and all my playlists have been loaded up..go figure...

I haven't used my iPod in a few months. Gave it full charge, music showing on screen and in iTunes. But when I push play, it says "Now Playing", but the time isn't moving forward and nothing is playing. I have already reset it and that didn't help.

I've had this iPod Classic for a couple of years, and only use it every so often, mostly when I travel. Just bought a speaker so I can listen in the house. Gave it a full charge. The music is showing up on the screen, and it also shows up in iTunes on my computer. When I try to play something, whether it's a song, artist, album, whatever, the screen shows the name of the song and displays "Now Playing". The time stays on 0.00, however and doesn't move forward; and no sound is coming out whether on the new docking speaker or with a headset. I tried the reset procedure, but still no change. A 4th gen iPod can not be upgraded to iOS 8. 7.0.2 is the high version it can run.

I can't get motion to animate. For example, I've set up a ramp on the jitter setting of my shape's stroke... and when I manually drag my mouse across the timeline, I see the change. But when I hit the spacebar to play - NOTHING. Same when I export.
But more straight-forward behaviors, like spin, throw, etc... work.
What's going on?

Sync isn't moving preferences or bookmarks correctly, and is deleting bookmarks off my machine

So, I got a new box, loaded Firefox on it and decided to move everything over with sync. I set it up on my old box and everything uploaded fine. On my new box, however, it downloaded my add-ons, my history, and just about everything except my preferences. That would be fine, however it also only loaded a few of my bookmarks, seemingly randomized their order, and even deleted a few. To make matters worse, it synced that data to my first box. Luckily, I have a backup on my first box containing the bookmarks, but I can't get it to load. What should I do?

Try to disconnect from Sync, quit Firefox, delete places.sqlite, restart Firefox, and re-set up Sync.
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Without screen lock on, my screen automatically flips from portrait to landscape even if my iPad isn't moved. How can I keep it from doing this?

Reboot your iPad and see if that fixes it. Unlock the screen first, reboot, lock the screen again and see what happens.
You are seeing the padlock icon in the upper right corner indicating that the screen is actually locked, correct?
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up

Finding The Mapped Path

I have written a rather complex system that uses smoke,
mirrors, and occasional subterfuge to display web pages. I noticed
that the CFFORM javascript controls weren't working on some of the
end-of-the-line cfm pages.
Through trial and error, I discovered that the my MX 7 CFFORM
needed for me to specifically include the cfform.js file by direct
path instead of allowing it to use the /CFIDE mapping - which, I
checked, is still in place just fine, thank you.
So, I'm not sure which tree to bark up right now.
Should I try to figure out why the CFIDE mapping isn't
finding my JavaScript? Or, is it really finding it but then
something is resetting it or negating it?
Moving past those questions, my next problem is replication
of this system. While I do know the path and can encode the path
for the CFIDE mapping, so I can test that the file exists and
include it with a script command, how do I know that:
1. It isn't already included?
2. On a new system, where I won't be there to hold hands, how
can I be sure of the direct-path mapping to where the /CFIDE
points? (using fileexists with a mapping doesn't appear to work --
e.g. fileexists("/cfide/scripts/cfform.js"))
Bugger of a problem, but I need to either duplicate CFFORM's
inclusion of cfform.js every time as a script or face data entering
my database that causes problems down the road with my autmated
systems (and elsewhere).

Follow up - examples:
On this test, you can type in any date or numbers you want
and you will not receive an error. LIke the test that follows it,
it uses standard CFFORM calls:

domain they are located under and the existence of the /CFIDE
directory copy. Actually, in Saphea, DateTest_A is located under

That, and the Saphea domain is also the master domain for the
entire server, which gives it better access to /CFIDE anyway...

Maps not working after 10.3.2.440 update

My Z10 was recently updated with ATT's 10.3.2.440. Since the update, "Maps" isn't functioning properly. When opened, I can see the map, with my present position, but I'm unable to search for anything or to plan directions. The app displays "Content Unavailable. My Places content is currently unavailable." I tried resetting the device using the volume keys method, but no improvement with this issue. Thanks for any help / advice. D Wells

And from this E1EDPT1-Element (with the TDID=Z505) the mapping should take the value <TDLINE> from the first E1EDPT2-Element in the context of the E1EDPT1-Element (the E1EDPT1 with the TDID=Z505) and put this value in <vendmemo>.
The mapping should do this action for every E1EDP01 -> so for every LineItem.
I tried it with UDF but I didn't found a solution. Can anybody help me?

Description of my Problem:
For each E1EDP01 in the source structure the mapping creates one LineItem in the target structure.
The element "vendmemo" should be created in any case ... also if it will be empty.
To fill the element "vendmemo" the mapping should search in E1EDP01 for a E1EDPT1 with the TDID=Z505. If there is an element E1EDPT1 with the TDID=Z505, the mapping should write the TDLINE from the first E1EDPT2 (under the element E1EDPT1 with the TDID=Z505) in the target field "vendmemo".
The Problem is that TDLINE an TDID are not in the same context. I tried it with setting the context of both to E1EDP01. But it was not working ... have you any idea oder suggestion?
