Mapping error : strange problem

Hi all,
            I am getting the mapping error in runtime.
I have tested in message mapping. It is successful there.
But I got the strange thing. When I change from design to test page and upload my XML file(from SXMB_MONI),  all nodes in my structure are red! Now If I test the message mapping , I am getting the mapping error in SXMB_MONI.
May someone has a idea what's going wrong...
Thanks & Regards,
Sekhar.

Hi Sekhar,
If you test using an XML message saved from the sxmb_moni, you have to add 2 namespace tags around the content of the message. Something like this:
<ns0:Messages xmlns:ns0="http://sap.com/xi/XI/SplitAndMerge">
  <ns0:Message1>
...message...
  </ns0:Message1>
</ns0:Messages>
This is usually done internally by SAP XI, but in the test tool it is not..
Hope this helps!
(additional hint: First click "create instance" in the test tool. Check out the first two namespaces, usually messages and message1, and copy these in your test file. That should do the trick.:-) )

Yordy

  • Strange Data Mapping Errors after SEM 6 Upgrade. Please assist.

    Hi All, I encountered these sudden Mapping errors after I tried to do Testing in Post Upgrade Sand Box. Here I am trying to to perform Collected Reported Financial Data under Data Collection Method for a particular Company Code 3040. Kindly help me with some quick responses as this is kind of high priority. The errors and the Diagnosis Notes I am unable to follow as I do not where I shall write those Mapping Rules they are referring to. I do not even know if that need to apply any SAP Notes as such. Once again Highly appreciate your quick response and Many Thanks in Advance.

    Input conversion for field Period Value LC has invalid format Message no. UCT8210 Diagnosis The mapping rule for target field Period Value LC contains a move with a selected Input Conversion indicator. Therefore, the system performs an input conversion prior to creating the target data. However, an error in the input conversion occurred while moving the source key figure to the target key figure Period Value LC. This means that the format used for the input conversion is incompatible with the target data. System Response The system will not perform the move. Procedure Examine the mapping rule for field Period Value LC. Either select the Conversion Exit indicator or deselect the Input Conversion indicator. Execute the method again. -
    3040 is incompatible with input format for field /1FB/COMPANY Message no. UCT8258 Diagnosis During execution, the method derives the source selection for source field /1FB/COMPANY from the mapping rule for the target field. 3040 is one of the values that were derived for the source selection. The system requires that this value is in the correct SAP-internal format because the Conversion Exit indicator has been selected in the move operator for field /1FB/COMPANY. However, the value 3040 is incompatible with the SAP-internal format. System Response The system attempts to interpret value 3040 as an external format and convert it to the internal format. If this fails, the system is unable to restrict the source selection using source field /1FB/COMPANY. In this case, the system may read more source data than was originally intended, which can affect performance. Procedure In the log, choose the Source button to display the source selections that are used to read the source data. When this appears, examine values selected for field /1FB/COMPANY. If the correct values were selected, you can ignore this message. To prevent this message from being issued, you can select the indicator in the mapping rule used by source field /1FB/COMPANY. If incorrect values were selected, make sure that the mapping rule used by source field /1FB/COMPANY has been defined correctly. If the mapping rule is correct and value (3040) derived for the source selection does not affect the overall result, you can ignore this message. If the source selection does not contain the value 3040 for field /1FB/COMPANY and, because of this, source data that is supposed to be read is not being read, make sure that the mapping rule has been defined correctly. If the source selection does not contain any value for field /1FB/COMPANY, make an estimation as to how much excess source data is being read and whether this might affect system performance. If you do not expect any performance problems, you can ignore this message. In any event, you have the following alternatives if the mapping rule is defined correctly, but the source selection on field /1FB/COMPANY is unsatisfactory: You can define a source selection for field /1FB/COMPANY in the Customizing settings for the method on the Selection tab page. Then the method uses this source selection instead of the source selection derived from inverse interpretation of the mapping rule. You can implement the Business Add-In (BAdI) UC_DATATRANSFER and use the method INVERT to determine the source selection on field /1FB/COMPANY. Then the method uses the result of the INVERT method for the source selection instead of the source selection derived from inverse interpretation of the mapping rule. -
    Cannot derive the source selection from target field Version Message no. UCT8252 Diagnosis Field Version has one of the following roles: Consolidation unit Group currency key Fiscal year Posting period Version To delimit the volume of the source data to be read, the system usually derives the source selection from the target selection of such a field. However, the system cannot derive a source selection from field Version. System Response It is possible that a greater volume of source data is being read than is necessary. This can lead to performance issues. Procedure Check whether a mapping rule is defined for field Version. If a mapping rule is defined, you can disregard this warning message. However, if you discover after method execution that the system did not process a large amount of data, and that system performance was not satisfactory, you may want to examine the source selection by choosing the Source button in the log. If the reason for the disregarded data is that too much source data was read because of the unrestricted selection on the source field (which is linked with target field Versionthrough mapping), choose one of the alternatives below: Change the mapping rule for field Version so that the system can derive a delimiting source selection. Implement the Business Add-In (BAdI) UC_DATATRANSFER with the method INVERT to delimit the selection for the source field that is linked via mapping to the target field Version. -

    Input must be in the format ___,___,__~ Message no. 00088 Diagnosis Your entry does not match the specified input format. System Response The entry in this field was rejected. Procedure The entry must comply with the edit format. The following edit format characters have a special meaning: "_" (underscore) There should be an input character at this point; this should be a number for numeric fields. "." (decimal point) (applies to numeric fields) The decimal point occurs here (setting in the user master record). "," (thousands separator) (applies to numeric fields) This separator occurs (optionally) for more than three figures. Depending on the setting in the user master record, it can be a period or a comma. "V" (applies to numeric fields) The operational sign appears here. If used, it must by at the right margin of the field. The sign is either "-" or " "(space). "~" (tilde) (applies to numeric fields) As of and including this character, leading zeros must also be entered. Otherwise, this character has the same meaning as an underscore. Leading zeros need not be entered on the left of the tilde. They are not output at this position. All other characters have their normal meanings and must be entered in the same position as in the edit format.

    Hi Dan,
    Could you Kiindly advise me where we need to write the Mapping Rules in Consolidation Monitor? All he time the errors refering to Mapping Rules. The only Tab I seen "Mapping" is in Data Basis But as per my Understanding Iwe do not have much to do there as it is system generated Mapping Tab.
    Where we actually go and select/deselct those Input Conversion Indicator/ Conversion exit Indicator.
    Highly appreciate your advise.

  • Problem to analyse mapping error

    Hi all,
    I have a problem to analyse a BPM mapping error on PI7.1. The szenario is as follows: I have 3 different containers (Abstract Interfaces) which data is used to determine the content of a  result container.
    E.g:
    ABSTRACT_INTERFACE_1
    ABSTRACT_INTERFACE_2 -> Mapping -> ABSTRACT_RESULT_INTERFACE
    ABSTRACT_INTERFACE_3
    If have quouted the source interfaces (cardinality 1 for each interface)  in my operation mapping and configured the transformation step accordingly. The operation mapping alone works in the integration builder test environment. When I execute the BPM process, the mapping fails. Unfortunately the is no information in the trace leaf of the respective container information. Writing data to the mapping trace doesn't work neither.
    Has got anybody an idea what might be the problem?
    Kind regards,
    Heiko

    Hi Heiko,
    Pls, do the following:
    1. Build a java mapping which is going to write the payload content before the message mapping.
    import com.sap.aii.mapping.api.StreamTransformation;
    import com.sap.aii.mapping.api.StreamTransformationException;
    import java.io.File;
    import java.io.FileOutputStream;
    import java.io.InputStream;
    import java.io.OutputStream;
    import java.util.Map;
    public class InputFileWriter implements StreamTransformation {
        public void setParameter(Map map) {
        public void execute(InputStream in, OutputStream out)
        throws StreamTransformationException {
            try{
                File f=new File("C:\PayloadContent.xml");
                FileOutputStream fosPayload = new FileOutputStream(f);
                byte[] content= new byte[in.available()];
                int c;
                int i=0;
                String sb =  "";
                while ((c = in.read()) != -1){
                    content<i>=(byte)c;
                    sb += (char)content<i>;
                    i++;
                fosPayload.write(sb.getBytes());
                fosPayload.close();
                out.write(sb.getBytes());
                out.close();
            }catch(Exception ex){
                ex.printStackTrace();
    2. Add the javamapping to your interface mapping putting before of message mapping.
    3. Run your scenario.
    4. Check the file
    C:\PayloadContent.xml
    5. Test your message mapping in with PayloadContent.xml
    And tell me what happened.
    Regards

  • Strange problem with Transformations Mapping

    Hi All,
    I am facing a strange problem with respect to the data loading to ods from data source.
    I have mapped a field,  Number of days which is the difference between posting date and payment date (field in ECC, length char 5) mapped to characteristic zdate_1 length 5 without alpha conversion. (Date difference is calculated in ECC)
    When I load data in production it is not fetching the records from PSA (Values exist for this  field in PSA).
    I have 90 fields in datasource whichbring data to PSA.
    Same is working perfectly in Quality and Dev servers.
    Where could the problem be?
    Please suggest a solution.
    Regards
    Joga

    Any Ideas...

  • Very strange problem: Error for Overall result  due to a custom infocube?

    Hi,
    I have a strange problem:
    In my query the sumgt function doesn't work for the calculation of a percentage (es: 'KFA' %A SUMGT 'KFA').
    The coloumn of the formula is full of red X.
    Using Nodiv() the percentage are all zeroes.
    I use a custom infocube for this query that is a copy of an infocube standard with some other infoobject custom. In the infocube standard the formula work and the sumgt is correct!.
    It is possible that there are some parameter to be set at infocube level that make the SUMGT wrong?
    I'm sorry for my poor english,
    Alberto

    Alberto,
                   Your problem might be a UNIT problem. If you are using key figures in a formula with different units, you will have the "red X" outcome.
                   Try using the NODIM() function in each formula element.

  • Strange problem in AFW custom module (question for gurus)

    Hi there SDN'ers,
    I have I very strange problem with an additional Adapter Module I developed.
    My scenario is: IDOC -> JDBC (Oracle)
    Well, to make a long story short, say that before the JDBC Receiver cc can write my data to the db, I have to do (inside the channel) kinda java mapping in order to produce an XML document that is acceptable for it. So in my module I manipulate the payload via DOM. No problem here.
    The strange story is: at first attempt, the Adapter fails (see error below), while after 5 minutes, when automatically trying again, it succeeds.
    Just because I put some stuff in the message audit log, what I can tell you is this weird thing:
    1. at first, no XML document exists in the payload, but in place of it there's this string:
    org.apache.crimson.tree.XmlDocument@745501c6
    which seems to be a toString() of something I don't (or don't know to) use directly
    2. at the second attempt, even in the audit log I can actually see the weel-formed XML document ready for the JDBC adapter, and in fact data are written to the db.
    ?? WHAT COULD THIS BE CAUSED BY ??
    Say also that the the other way around (JDBC->IDOC) with another very similar module works perfectly.
    Thanks.
    Alex

    P.S. -> 6f, 72, 67  is "org", that is the first three letter of the weird payload I get at first attempt.

    Ok guys, I got that workin'.
    I don't know why - and don't think I'll have the time to investigate further - but it seems the implementation of DOM Document used by XI is different the first time AFW executes my module, so here my workaround.
    if (docOut instanceof org.apache.crimson.tree.XmlDocument) {
       org.apache.crimson.tree.XmlDocument tmpDocOut = (org.apache.crimson.tree.XmlDocument)docOut;
       tmpDocOut.write(out);
    } else {
       out.write(docOut.toString().getBytes());

    Hi Ivan
    I have faced this problem earlier BUT ultimately I have to create the DC from scratch.
    But you can check these things:
    1.Have you copy/pasted Dictionary type from other location (check the path of the dictionary types ) --> If yes then deleted that and create again(do not use copy/paste)
    2.This also happens if your "Used DC" has some problems in the JDI --> Remove the used DC and add it again.
    3.Make sure the NWDI infastructure is perfect- this may be a cause.
    4. Check Context mappings --> delete all mappings > save metadata > Create again.
    5. Delete the model and recreate it again.
    6.If you have done reimporting model make sure to restart J2EE instance.
    Hope this solves the problem - if not please post

  • Web Service Strange problem

    Hi
    I have the following strange problem while calling a
    web-service that is bind to a data grid on a popup container:
    When I’m calling the web service using the popup
    container automatic event (i.e. show, creation-completed, activate,
    etc) the structure returned from the web service is an [Object
    Proxy] type that needs to be decipher…
    Changing the logic and calling the same web service by a user
    interface action (click etc), returns an ArrayCollection Object.
    The question is actually what is the difference between an
    automatic and a user action?
    Should there be such a difference?

    Hi
      Again you are trying to add an empty line and then delete it. Well what i am saying is you dont have to do the lines
    complex.addRETURN(new ComplexType_BAPIRET2());
    complex.addUSERLIST(new ComplexType_BAPIUSNAME());
    ComplexType_BAPIUSSEXP d1 = new ComplexType_BAPIUSSEXP();
    complex.addSELECTION_EXP(d1);
    ComplexType_BAPIUSSRGE d2 = new ComplexType_BAPIUSSRGE();
    complex.addSELECTION_RANGE(d2);
    complex.removeSELECTION_EXP(d1);
    complex.removeSELECTION_RANGE(d2);
    input.setParameters(complex);
    Just write the following code and you are good to go.
    Bapi_User_Getlist_Input complex = new Bapi_User_Getlist_Input();
    wdContext.nodeBapi_User_Getlist_Input().bind(complex);
    complex.setMax_Rows(10);
    complex.setWith_Username("X");
    try
      wdContext.currentBapi_User_Getlist_InputElement().modelObject().execute();
    catch(Exception e)
      wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportException ("Exception occured "+e,true);
    Hope that helps you. You dont have to pass any values to the table structures. This specific bapi does not require data to be passed to the structures and by doing so empty lines are added and that is what i was saying when i explained in my previous post. Hope that clarifies your doubt. Do let me know in case u require further clarifications.
    If you are getting a error saying Return and Selection_EXP are required check the mapping.
    It is enough if you just select the nodes under
       Bapi_User_List_Input
          |_Output
          |    |_Return (Model Node)
          |    |_Selection_Exp (Model Node)
          |    |_Selection_Range (Model Node)
          |    |_Userlist (Model Node)
          |    |_Rows (Model Attribute)
          |_Max_Rows (Model Attribute)
          |_With_Username (Model Attribute)
    and of course select the Model Attributes MAX_ROWS and With_Username
    Let me know if you require any more information

  • Import maps error Prime 2.0

    Hello,
    I'm working to export maps from the old WCS 7.0.240.0 to Cisco Prime 2.0.
    Everything works fine, but from one map I receive an error.
    I cannot find what to do. Cisco has no workaround for it.
    Map Path                Message                                                                            Status
    WKL                      Length '328,080.719' is invalid. Range is '1' -'99,999'.       red dot
    WKL                       Width '286,797.25'is invalid. Range is '1' -'99,999'.           red dot
    My map named WKL has the maximum of 99999 meters. It looks like the WCS has counted the feet instead of meters.
    I also change it in Prime 2.0, after I imported many other maps without any problem.
    This looks very strange to me.
    Does anyone have an answer to it.
    Regards,
    Erik

    I solved the problem to convert the old meter to feet.
    Replacing the shops in the campus, saved it.
    The export -> import and it works.
    I seems to be a bug, but this will be the workaround.
    Regards,
    Erik

  • Object cast - J2EE to ActionScript strange problem

    Hello,
    I am working in a project with multiple layers composed by Flash+Flex; BlazeDS; J2EE+Hibernate.
    I have some services to get all the data from database and I have a strange problem when I try to cast some objects from J2EE to ActionScript via BlazeDS Services. This is the structure that I have in my project:
    Oracle
    Table ServicePetitions (a table with all the data about a service petition)
    J2EE+Hibernate
    ServicePetition object (mapping object generated by hibernate)
    ServicePetitionId object (multiple key object generated by hibernate)
    ServiceServicePetitions object (the service to use in blazeDS)
    Flex 4 (All the objects generated by Flex Builder at the time of map the service)
    _Super_ServiceServicePetitions
    ServiceServicePetitions
    _Super_ServicePetitions
    _Super_ServicePetitionId
    _Super_ServicePetitionEntityMetadata
    _Super_ServicePetitionIdEntityMetadata
    ServicePetition
    ServicePetitionId
    Normally I call the service and later I try to get the data using a CallResponder object to make the assignation lastresult = ServicePetition; except when I use a datagrid that automaticly use the CallResponser.lastresult as dataprovider, without any assignation (important, always work!)
    The fact is that when I try to make the assignation all works alright, I get all the data, I can work with those data, all goes perfect, but...when I make the second call, the assignation (callresponder.lastresult = ServicePetition) does not assign anything.
    This is the code of the assignation:
        private var respPs:CallResponder;
        private var servPs:ServiceServicePetitions;
        private var objPs:ServicePetition;
        // Call
        public function AprobarPS(ter:String,idps:String,sec:int)
          servPs = new ServicioVPeticionesServicio();
          respPs = new CallResponder();
          respPs.addEventListener(ResultEvent.RESULT,getDatosPs);
          respPs.addEventListener(FaultEvent.FAULT,error);
          respPs.token = servPs.getPeticionServicio(ter,idps,sec);
        // Get the data
        private function getDatosPs(resultEvent:ResultEvent):void
          objPs = respPs.lastResult as VPeticionesServicio;
          switch (obj.petitionType) { // Here I have a null exception
    I make the debug with the blazeDS tools and all the responses and call statements is Ok, and the service return the data always, but Flex only works the first time per execution.
    If I assign all the data field by field from lastResult to ServicePetition all works properly always, the first call, the second call, etc., but if I want to make the assignment, object to object, only works 1 time.
    any ideas?
    best regards,
    thx!

    sorry, copy-paste problem...
    switch (objPs.petitionType)
    I have been researching and I think that I know where (maybe...) is the problem.
    The object to serialize have another object inside. Could be this the problem at the time to des-serialize the object? Also, the object is very big, have around 40 fields, could be also a problem ?
    thanks!

  • Mapping Error with Sender JDBC- Idoc scenario

    Hi Guru's,
    I've got a simple asyncronous sender JDBC to Idoc scenario, and I encounter a strange problem with the mapping.
    When I test the mapping it works fine, but when I run the scenario, only the first element (a constant) of the Idoc gets mapped, and mapping stops with no errors.
    Does someone know where to find the error?
    Thanks,
    Karst

    Hi Karst,
    There might be several reasons that you do not see the IDOC structures are not created/mapped:
    1. Most of the IDOC structures are optional (minOccrs = 0), so you have to make sure the structure itself (not just the fields within that structure) is mapped to something that does exist in the source data.
    2. Make sure your JDBC generated source data does have the right namespace as you used in your mapping. I once had a similar problem, but finally found the source data generated in run time is slightly different from the one used in mapping in terms of namespace.
    3. Test your mapping with the source data generated in runtime (you can copy it from SXMB_MONI). Then you may be able to find the problem.
    Hope this helps.

  • Computer slower and a few other strange problems since upgrading to SL

    Hi all,
    About a month ago, I upgraded my mid-2009 MBP to SL. I'm now on 10.6.1. Ever since the upgrade, my computer's been somewhat slower than it was when I ran Leopard (although many people I know say their machines are faster). I did restart several times at one point, and that seemed to speed it up, although it still experiences delays I didn't have before. I've also had a bunch of strange issues:
    1) Safari is most noticeably slow, especially when using something like Top Sites on Safari 4. I alleviated this problem somewhat by setting new tabs to open a blank window rather than Top Sites, but even so, Safari is generally slower, gives me 'pinwheels' often, and also is less stable.
    2) The other day, I restarted to find that all fonts except system fonts had been mysteriously deactivated. As a designer, I rely heavily on my many fonts, which I manage using Linotype FontExplorer.
    3) Today, I opened my computer up after having it sleeping in a backpack, and it had turned off. It was not out of battery; it had just turned off for no apparent reason.
    4) Judging by Activity Monitor, RAM is being used somewhat more heavily by the system, contrary to the advertisements of a 'lighter' footprint for SL as compared to Leopard. However, according to Activity Monitor (which I check frequently), the processor does not appear to be getting taxed any more heavily than under Leopard, which makes the sluggishness more inexplicable.
    5) Yesterday, I could not get my computer to recognize my Time Machine backup disc. After restarting, it worked, but this is a pain.
    I appreciate any advice I can get. Does anyone else have similar problems or solutions? Or is the general consensus that these are SL bugs that Apple will work out by about 10.6.4 or so?
    Thanks,
    Nathan

    I began this thread awhile ago, but the essence of it is that I had a number of strange problems, although mostly my computer was just slower, when upgrading from Leo to SL.
    I've now wiped my HD and re-installed SL. It seems faster, although there are still a few issues:
    1) iWork (Pages, Numbers) has very weird coloring. All the text looks light blue and/or cyan, and I can't fix it.
    2) Although initially Safari worked great, lately it's been going back to its habits of being slow and showing strange things like chopping up the 'Top Sites' view, i.e. rendering it in an off way.
    3) Adobe CS3 will not install properly. I get them loaded up, but when I try to launch a program, I get an error that says "licensing for this product has stopped working". I cannot get to the 'activate' page, even though I uninstalled and deactivated CS3.
    In the interest of full disclosure, I did restore my home account after clean installing SL-- maybe I should have brought the files over folder by folder rather than bringing back my whole home folder with its settings? I wonder if I accidentally brought over Adobe's FLEXnet folder too.
    Also, does anyone know if Adobe CS3 can cause these problems with Safari and other programs? It just seems that the whole machine was slower after installing CS3, even though I wasn't running the programs.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Nate
