Mapping External Message Error: StackOverFlowError
Hi,
Just to give a background first, I have an xsd external message defined, which I have to use for a certain map. Whenever I try to use it as a target message during mapping, I get an INTERNAL_PROBLEM StackOverFlowError message. Because of this, IR would not let me map that message. This only happens to that specific xsd external message.
Does anyone know the cause and how to solve this?
Would really appreciate it. Thanks!
Hi Angelo,
The error that you face is not very common in XI scenarios but then nevertheless it sometimes comes up. The basic reason being that the IR is not geared to cater to that xsd which you are trying to use. There is basically some more fine tuning that needs to be done.

Error in Message Mapping "Target message IDOC: ORDRSP.ORDERS02 does not exi
Hi,
I have joined newly to the team.
When I tried to open one message mapping it throwinf follwing error...
"Target message IDOC: ORDRSP.ORDERS02 does not exist in software component version ID: 44423362454456485465..
Check whether the software component version ID: 44423362454456485465 is in Enterprise Service Repository. Import this version if necessary"
Is there any impact because of which in the message flow?
In my case some of the messages are failing with mapping error "runtime exception occured during application mapping com/sap/xi/tf/_SUS2MMOrderResponse_; java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method java.util.Map.get(java.lang.Object) of an object loaded from field com.sap.aii.map`"
And some of the messages are processed sucessfully and they also using the same mapping program 'SUS2MMOrderResponse'.
Could someone tell me is there any relation for the above error in XML messages and to the message mapping?
Regards
Baskaran KCould someone tell me is there any relation for the above error in XML messages and to the message mapping?
The error mentions that you have used an IDOC in your mapping program which is not found in the ESR....you need to check if the IDOC is present in the ESR and is present under the correct SWCV.
Once you have done the check do some dummy change to the mapping and activate it (if in DEV) and then check the CACHE. -
Multi-Mapping and Message Split using BPM UDFs Error
hi
As per the below blog
Illustration of Multi-Mapping and Message Split using BPM in SAP Exchange Infrastructure
I have just modified the UDFs(1.selectnodeifA 2.selectNodeifB)
1.selectnodeifA
for(int i=0;i<=n;i++)
if(Name<i>.equals("A"))
result.addValue(Node<i>);
2.selectNodeifB
for(int i=0;i<=n;i++)
if(Name<i>.equals("B"))
result.addValue(Node<i>);
while checking I am getting the following errors
Source code has syntax error:

The source code given in the blog is correct ? I thought for loop has not completed
pls help
manianHi manian,
I was having a look to Illustration of Multi-Mapping and Message Split using BPM in SAP Exchange Infrastructure blog.
The functions are not the same. I mean, yours and blogs functions.
Each function has two parameters, Name and node. Furtheremore, in the blogs' functions is using arrays and you don't.
So, the right code will be
1.selectnodeifA
for(int i=0;i<=node.length();i++)
if(Name<i>.equals("A"))
result.addValue(Node<i>);
However, if you don't need an advance user defined function as you want to process just one element of the node's queue, you will not need to use for sentence.
Something like:
1.selectnodeifA
// for(int i=0;i<=n;i++)
if(Name.equals("A"))
result.addValue(Node);
Hope it is usefull for you.

Pls help me in getting resolve this problem.
Thx in advanceHi;
Just check that all the mandatory fields (1.1 occurances) are mapped.
No node in the target message should be left red.

Idoc - External Definitions Error
Hi,
I had to change the occurences of an exisiting idoc. I had imported the xsd,changed the occurrences and reloaded it using WSDL structure.
When i load the external definition in the mapping structure, it is giving me the following error.
Object External Message Z_INVOICE02_MULTI | INVOIC.INVOIC02.ZINVOIC02 | urn:sap-com:document:sap:idoc:messages not found
Please note that when i had imported the xsd, i had removed the target namespace.Hi Sai,
i need to add an additional field to the existing IDOC structure
Is there any specific reason for usign IDOC as external definition (are you changing the occurance of IDOC)?
what is your sender and receiver system?
Are you expecting the value for this addition field to be populated by sap along with the rest of IDOC data? if yes then ,get a custom IDOC created in SAP with the required field.
Or if you want to populate this additional field in PI usign any logic (assuming you are sending to any non sap system), then you can create a new ED for the targert , just export
the ED to desktop , open with any xml editor (xml spy or microsoft visual studio 2005) and navigate to the portion of xsd which you want to edit add the field -> reimport in PI and use it as your target strucuture.You cannot edit ED directly in ESR.

How To use External Message To Send IDOC From XI To R/3
we need to split one source message to several IDOC To
R/3,But Standard Imported r/3 idoc contains only one idoc per message,so we export the standart idoc to a
xsd file and change it to a multi "IDOC" segment structure and import back to xi again,after that,we create a message interface use the imported
message type and use it to send IDOC to r/3 via idoc adapter,but at the "call atapter" step it gernarate a
error:"Unable to interpret IDoc interface MI_IDOC_IN".
what we should pay attention to when use external message
to send idoc to r/3?
(when use the imported idoc message to send single idoc per message,it is no probelm)
thxThe way this works is:
1. In your Message Mapping use the External WSDL defintion that you loaded after tweaking the "IDOC" Occurance.
2. Then in your INTERFACE MAPPING use the orginal IDOC Name that you imported from R/3.
3. Use the original IDOC Name in Integration Builder too.
This should work.
Thanks

Word couldn't send mail because of MAPI failure, Unspecified error.
This issue is crossposted in Microsoft Answers Word and OUTLOOK. I am posting here in hopes that someone at Mircrosoft may have a solution or at least elevate the issue to someone who does.
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/officeversion_other-word/word-could-not-send-mail-because-of-mapi-failure/f62678fe-ef1d-42b5-8cfe-1e43d6a1d609
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2013_release-outlook/word-couldnt-send-mail-due-to-mapi-failure/1f03cf74-9258-411b-9e2b-e41cb5006d71
I dabble with VBA and write and maintain several amateur Word Add-Ins. Accordingly, I have Word 2003, 2007, 2010 and 2013 installed on my PC. They get along fine. However, I am unable to "Share" or "Send" an open Word
document as an E-mail attachment in any version! In each case Word returns an error mesage "Word couldn't send mail because of a MAPI failure, Unspecified error (the same issue occurs with Excel and Powerpoint except the error dialog is a bit different.)
Using Word 2003, I (CAN) "Send to (Mail recipient for review)" in which case OUTLOOK is opened with the document as an attachment. I can also "Send to Mail Recipient" from Windows Explorer, in which case the Word file is attached to
an OUTLOOK message, and I can create an instance of OUTLOOK and send mail from Word using VBA.
I have repaired all Office versions. I have removed the registry keys for all office versions and repaired all versions again. I have run "fixmapi" until I am blue in the face. I have renamed the MAPI32.DLL files and ran sfc \scannow
to ensure that the MAPI32.DLL file is not corrupt. In view of these actions and in view of what I can do, something tells me that the MAPI files are fine.
So what is this "Unspecified error?" This problem is rife on the internet and most of the "canned" solutions have been marked "Answered" by some MS support engineer. These "canned" solutions might have
fixed the issue at one point, but they don't work now. At least not for me.
Thanks.
Greg Maxey Please visit my website at: http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/word_tips.htmHello Greg,
I noted that there are 2 knowledge articles that describe scenarios where you may encounter this error.
KB 291152 You receive a "Word couldn't send mail because of MAPI failure" error message when you try to send a Word document as an e-mail attachment in Word 2002
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/291152/EN-US
KB 929362 You cannot send a file by clicking Send in a different program when Outlook 2007 is running as administrator
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929362/EN-US
Please let me know the following:
1. What version of Outlook are you using?
2. Do you have Outlook open when you attempt the File > Share > Email as attachment from Word? If not, does the error occur if you open Outlook, open Word and then try to send the email?
3. If you close/reopen Word and then try the send again, do you get the same error?
4. Are you running either Outlook or Word in an elevated mode?
5. What happens if you start both Outlook and Word as "Run As Administrator". You may have to right-click each applications' .exe file to be able to choose the "Run As Administrator" option.
6. Do you get the same error when using File > Share > Email as attachment using Excel?
7. In Internet Explorer, open the Internet Options. On the General tab within the browsing history, delete your temporary Internet files and website files
8. Does the issue occur in selective startup mode?
Steps to setup selective startup mode:
Click on the Windows Start button, in the Search box type msconfig and then hit enter. This should open up the System Configuration Utility. Make the following adjustments within each tab.
Services Tab:
- Check the option 'Hide All Microsoft Services'
- Click on button 'Disable All'
Startup Tab:
- Click the button 'Disable All'
- Go back through the list and enable any Microsoft items
Click Ok. It will say “You must restart your computer for some of the changes
made by System Configuration to take effect”. Hit the ‘Restart’ button.
When the PC reboots try to run your test again.
To return back to a normal boot launch msconfig again and choose 'normal startup' on the general tab, click Ok and then reboot the PC.

I have a PC with windows 8.1. My itunes folder is stored on external drive. I haven't used itunes for a while. I got a message to update to itunes 11.3.1. I got error message that "registry settings used by itunes for importing and burning CD's/DVD's has stopped working" I uninstalled itunes and attempted to reinstall. Now i get message" error occurred during installation before itunes could be configured" How do I fix this.

My computer is shutting down before fully booting up. I am running the disk utilities program and have this message: Error: Disk Utility can't repair this disk . . . disk, and restore your backed-up files. Can anyone suggest what I should do next?
So, you can't Install OSX to the external?
Or you can't boot from it when you do?
You're not the only one wondering... I'm reminded of the Goose that laid the Golden Egg story. -
Multi-mapping activate changes error
Good afternoon!
I want to use multi-mapping to split one IDoc(WBBDLD04) to some xml documents.I want XI to create one xml document per segment E1WBB01 of WBBDLD04 IDoc. I set Occurrence = 0..unbounded for target interface in interface mapping . Then I try to activate changes. IX generate errors:
MaterialMasterRequestMapping | http://sap.com/xi/SBO:
A multi-mapping with multiple source or target interface instances is only recommended with asynchronous interfaces, since only a mapping of this type can be used in the process editor. IDoc WBBDLD.WBBDLD04 | urn:sap-com:document:sap:idoc:messages are not asynchronous abstract interfaces
Mapping program Message Mapping MaterialMaster2SBO_GT2 | http://sap.com/xi/SBO does not match the interface mapping. The number or frequencies of source or target messages for the message mapping are not identical to the number or frequencies of source or target interfaces.
Tell me please, what I do wrong?
Thanks!
Lositskiy AlexandrAlexandr,
You need to create an Abstract from your IDoc (Message Interface).
To use mutli mapping, you need to create a Business Process. Then in your Business Scenario, use your Business Process and reference your multi map.
Hope this helps.

Can we call a Java Map in Message Map
Hello,
Can we call a Java Map in Message Map
Thanks and Regards
HemantHello Vijay,
I think this is your code:
import com.sap.aii.mapping.api.StreamTransformation;
import com.sap.aii.mapping.api.AbstractTrace;
import com.sap.aii.mapping.api.StreamTransformationConstants;
import java.util.Map;
import java.io.*;
public class PayloadToXMLField1 implements StreamTransformation {
String strXML = new String();
//Declare the XML tag for your XML message
String StartXMLTag = "<DocumentBody>";
String EndXMLTag = "</DocumentBody>";
//String StartXMLTag1 = "<Code>";
//String EndXMLTag1 = "</Code>";
AbstractTrace trace;
private Map param = null;
public void setParameter(Map param) {
this.param = param;
public void execute(InputStream in, OutputStream out) {
trace =
(AbstractTrace) param.get(
StreamTransformationConstants.MAPPING_TRACE);
trace.addInfo("Process Started");
try {
StringBuffer strbuffer = new StringBuffer();
byte[] b = new byte[4096];
for (int n;(n = in.read(b)) != -1;) {
strbuffer.append(new String(b, 0, n));
strXML = strbuffer.toString();
} catch (Exception e) {
System.out.println("Exception Occurred");
String outputPayload =
StartXMLTag
+ "<![CDATA["
+ strXML
+ "]]>"
+ EndXMLTag;
try {
out.write(outputPayload.getBytes());
trace.addInfo("Process Completed");;
} catch (Exception e) {
trace.addInfo("Process Terminated: Error in writing out payload");;
I need this code to be converted in UDF if Java map cannot be called in Message Map.
Can anyone help me how to write UDF for the same java map.
Thanks and Regards

Message error ORA-00936 when using JDBC adapter
Hi all,
I'm using the folow scenario:
RFC --> XI --> JDBC
RFC <-- XI <-- JDBC (response)
It's a SYNCHRONOUS interface.
RFC call without COMMIT WORK:
CALL FUNCTION 'Y_TESTE_NEI'
DESTINATION 'RFC_XI'
EXPORTING
DATE_FROM = v_data_from
DATE_TO = v_data_to
TABLES
t_return = t_dados.
I'm not using KEY in JDBC message, because for test I want to get entiry table, and I set the communication channel JDBC to KEY not mandatory.
I'm not having mapping error, in SXMB_MONI I can see the two messages of interface, but both with SYSTEM ERROR.
In JDBC adapter in Runtime Workbench apears the follow message error:
com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 't7_productionorder' (structure 't7_productionorder'): java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00936: missing expression
And DUMP in function call in R/3: CALL_FUNCTION_REMOTE_ERROR
Could anyone help me about this problem ?
Thanks in advance.
Regis FerratoHi Regis,
I did the same scenario just now. The error you get is, you need to check whether the fields you are entering into the database have correct datatypes.
Check out your database structure with your structure in XI, and also test in Message Mapping, to make sure you are sending correct values.
In my case I was sending date like this '10-12-06', but my DB accepts only '101206'. So I removed the '-'. It was fine .
The Dumping error is not due to your ABAP, due to the DB operation.
Let me know Whether I am correct.

DG Observer triggering SIGSEGV Address not mapped to object errors in alert log
Hi,
I've got a Data Guard configuration using two 11.2.0.3 single instance databases. The configuration has been configured for automatic failover and I have an observer running on a separate box.
This fast-start failover configuration has been in place for about a month and in the last week, numerous SEGSEGV (address not mapped to object) errors are reported in the alert log. This is happening quite frequently (every 4/5 minutes or so).
The corresponding trace files show the process triggering the error coming from the observer.
Has anyone experienced this problem? I'm at my wits end trying to figure out how to fix the configuration to eliminate this error.
I must also note that even though this error is occurring a lot, it doesn't seem to be affecting any of the database functionality.
Help?
Thanks in advance.
BethHi.. The following is the alert log message, the traced file generated, and the current values of the data guard configuration. In addition, as part of my research, I attempted to apply patch 12615660 which did not take care of the issue. I also set the inbound_connection_timeout parameter to 0 and that didn't help either. I'm still researching but any pointer in the right direction is very much appreciated.
