Mapping Float with data type Qty or Curr or INT4

Hi,
We are extracting the data from a table. Some fields are defined as Float but at trasfer rules we have mapped those Key figures with Quantity or Currency or INT4 .
In transfer rules there is only info object mapping. But when extracting the data we are not getting any data even In PSA for those fields.
Please suggest should we change the data type or any changes
Thanks,
Shaliny. M

Hi,
Can you provide some more inputs.
have you mapped with Standard Fields.

  • Arithmetic Overflow error converting float to data type numeric

    Hi,
    Am facing strange issue,I have function which returns money datatype and assigning the return money value to float datatype in table.
    Error msg:
    Msg 8115, Level 16, State 6, Procedure GBCalcCatalogPriceNewV2, Line 204
    Arithmetic overflow error converting float to data type numeric.
    The statement has been terminated.
    Strange thing is the same stored procedure is working fine in production environment,but in the deveopment i see this error.Am scared if the same happens in the production environment.Please advice and advance
    thanks
    Regards
    RAj

    Strange thing is the same stored procedure is working fine in production environment,
    How could that be strange? This is an error that occurs depending on the data. Accidents that are waiting to happen will happen sooner or later.
    Then again, a development database may be more prone to such errors, because data that entered are completely out of whack with real life data. Still it is a warning sign. If you have some place where you convert data from float to numeric, you must consider
    the risk that the float value is outside the range for the numeric data type. How do you prevent that from happening? Maybe a CHECK constraint on the column? Of if the data origins from a money column, use a numeric data type with sufficient precision.

  • JDBC MS Access--- cannot extract entry with null value with data type Meta

    I'm trying to extract a data entry with null value by using JDBC. The database is MS Access.
    The question is how to extract null entry with data type memo? The following code works when the label has data type Text, but it throws sqlException when the data type is memo.
    Any advice will be appreciated! thanks!
    Following are the table description and JDBC code:
    test table has the following attributes:
    Field name Data Type
    name Text
    label Memo
    table contents:
    name label
    me null
    you gates
    Code:
    String query = "SELECT name, label FROM test where name like 'me' ";
    ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery(query);
    while (rs.next())
    String name = rs.getString("name");
    rs.getString("val");
    String label = rs.getString("label");
    System.out.println("\t"+name+"\t"+label);
    catch (SQLException ex)
    System.out.println(ex.getSQLState());
    System.out.println(ex.getErrorCode());
    System.out.println("in sqlexception");
    output:
    C:\Temp\SEFormExtractor>java DBTest
    yet SELECT name, label FROM test
    null
    0
    in sqlexception

    The question is how to extract null entry with data type memo?Okay, what you need to do is this:
    if (rs.getString("val") == null)
      // do something
    }This way, when it's a null value, you can check it first, and then handle it how you want, rather than getting an exception.

  • Adding fields with data type "TIMS" to the BP transaction

    hi all,
      This  is Anil regarding the addition of fields to the BP transaction.
    here my problem is for BP transaction I could not find any BADI or screen exit  to add the fields. Even EEWB tool does not allow us to cretate the fields with data type "TIMS". so could you please suggest any other way to add these fields to BP?
    when I enter the values to the time fields in BP transaction, they must reflect in
    BUT000 table also?
    Regards,
    Anil .

    In the physical layer, Column Properties change the data type to int.
    If still problem exists, In the Business Model, write a case statement like
    case when column1=1 then 1 end
    and apply count aggregation on the new calculated column,add the column to presentation table, use that new calculated column for report.

  • Issue with Data type 'Date' in Hyperion Planning V11.1.2.2

    Hi,
    I have created members with data type date. However when I save the date, it either disappears or comes up with a random date? Has any one come across this kind of problem before?
    If so can you share the fix.
    Thanks in advance for your help.
    Cheers,
    XXX

    Hi
    This problem is linked to you not having a consistent setting for your date input type.
    So, go to application administration and set the date format to MM/DD/YYYY in application settings and display options, under current application defaults. Then after you have done this as a user go to User Preferences and display options and on the date format select the same. Or remove the Automatically detect.
    I have seen this behaviour if you have Automatically Detect on the user preferences
    Thanks

  • Need Help with data type conversion

    Hello People,
    I am new to java, i need some help with data type conversion:
    I have variable(string) storing IP Address
    IPAddr="10.10.103.10"
    I have to call a library function which passes IP Address and does something and returns me a value.
    The problem I have is that external function call in this library excepts IP Address in form of a byte array.
    Here is the syntax for the function I am calling through my program
    int createDevice (byte[] ipAddress).
    now my problem is I don't know how to convert the string  IPAddr variable into a byte[] ipAddress to pass it through method.

    Class InetAddress has a method
    byte[]      getAddress() You can create an instance using the static method getByName() providing the IP address string as argument.

  • How to create an item with date type mm/yyyy (no day)

    Hello,
    Is it possible to create an item with date type mm/yyyy (no day)? I want the pop-up date picker to just show month and year.
    Thanks,
    Jen

    Hi,
    you cannot pop-up date picker to just show month and year, but you can set your item format as MM-YYYY
    You can check this APEX_ITEM.DATE_POPUP2 at : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21676/apex_item.htm#CHDJHBCG (if using apex 4.1) else http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E10513_01/doc/apirefs.310/e12855/apex_item.htm#CHDFDDEI

  • Counter KF with 1 & 0 and difference between data type NUMBER (DEC) and INTEGER (INT4)

    Hi,
    I need to create a counter kf which should populate 1 and 0 to this counter field. Please let me know is there any difference between data type
    NUMBER (DEC) and INTEGER (INT4).
    Please suggest.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Pavan kumar

    Hi Pavan,
    The basic difference between Number(DEC) and INT4 is its internal storage in system.
    For Number (DEC) - Value internally stored as packed number with 3 decimal places whereas INT 4 as 4 byte integer without decimal places.
    For counter KF, you can go for INT 4.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • Invalid or no mapping to system data types found.

    Hello Netweaver gurus.
    One of my client faces this issue. Has anybody come across similar error types ?
    Regards,
    Nitin Koushik

    Hello Nitin,
    In my opinion the error is because you would not be using an appropriate Entity to perform respective operation and can also be due to invalid mapping e.g. NUMC to Edm.Decimal
    Lets say you have an Entity 'A' to Update a media content to BE. You can use the same Entity 'A' to Read the updated media content as well.
    Leta say now you want to Read set of data from BE ( Not a Media content )
    You cannot use the Entity 'A' to perform this. You need to have a different Entity which will get the info needed from BE.
    Even if you forcefully try to map the response in code level, you will get the error ' Invalid or no mapping to system data types found '. This is because Entity 'A' would have got the special semantics to Read the media content not the set of data.
    Kindly check this and also the Types , Type Lengths , No of Decimal Places etc...used in Model
    Regards,
    Ashwin

    Hi Peter,
    Good to know that it helped you.
    Problem i am having is I dont have this method "SET_AS_CONTENT_TYPE( )" in class "/IWBEP/IF_MGW_ODATA_PROPERTY" because of my SAP Gateway system SP release level is less.
    So i wasn't able to use this snippet.
    IF lo_entity is BOUND.
      lo_property = lo_entity->GET_PROPERTY( IV_PROPERTY_NAME = 'ContentType' ).
      lo_property->SET_AS_CONTENT_TYPE( ).
    ENDIF.
    Is this the reasin i am not getting correct XML response back?

  • Difference between DEclaring Itab with DATA & TYpe Statement?

    HI Friends,
      What is the Difference between Declaring Itab with DATA & TYpe Statement?

    Hi,
    The Statements TYPES and DATA
    Each ABAP program define its own data types using the statement.
    TYPES dtype TYPE type ...
    and declare its own variables or instance attributes of classes using the statement
    DATA var {TYPE type} ...
    Within the program or a class, you can also define local data types and variables within procedures. Local variables in procedures obscure identically-named variables in the main program or class.
    When creating data types and data objects, there are a number of naming convention that also apply for other local program definitions, such as procedures. These are described in detail in the keyword documentation.
    The Additions TYPE and LIKE
    The additions TYPE type and LIKE dobj are used in various ABAP statements. The additions can have various meanings, depending on the syntax and context.
    ·        Definition of local types in a program
    ·        Declaration of data objects
    ·        Dynamic creation of data objects
    ·        Specification of the type of formal parameters in subroutines
    ·        Specification of the type of formal parameters in methods
    ·        Specification of the type of field symbols
    TYPES: BEGIN OF struct,
             number_1 TYPE i,
             number_2 TYPE p DECIMALS 2,
           END OF struct.
    DATA:  wa_struct TYPE struct,
           number    LIKE wa_struct-number_2,
           date      LIKE sy-datum,
           time      TYPE t,
           text      TYPE string,
           company   TYPE s_carr_id.
    This example declares variables with reference to the internal type STRUCT in the program, a component of an existing data object wa_struct, the predefined data object SY-DATUM, the predefined ABAP type t and STRING, and the data element S_CARR_ID from the ABAP Dictionary.
    Reward Points if found helpfull..

  • Mapping refcursors with object types in a procedure

    Hi all,
    I need some help regarding the mapping of refcursors with object types .
    Example: Procedure "A" has object types as input/output parameters which lies in the Web Method Application as a API.
    We are creating a procedure "B" which has ref cursors as input/ouput parameters
    which will map to the Procedure "A"'s object type parameters.
    It will be highly needful for the solution.
    Regards
    Saugata

    Your pseudocode has a lot of steps in it, but you didn't say which step you need help with. Since I already covered going from a nested table type to a refcursor, I'll assume you want an example that goes the other way now, like from a refcursor to a nested table type. Here's one ...
    SQL>
    SQL>
    SQL> set serveroutput on
    SQL>
    SQL> create type nested_table_type as table of varchar2(14) ;
      2  /
    Type created.
    SQL> show errors
    No errors.
    SQL>
    SQL>
    SQL> create function func
      2    ( p_cursor in sys_refcursor )
      3    return nested_table_type
      4  as
      5    v_nested_table nested_table_type ;
      6  begin
      7
      8    fetch p_cursor bulk collect into v_nested_table ;
      9    return( v_nested_table );
    10
    11  end;
    12  /
    Function created.
    SQL> show errors
    No errors.
    SQL>
    SQL> select func( cursor( select dname from dept ) ) as nested_table from dual ;
    NESTED_TABLE
    NESTED_TABLE_TYPE('ACCOUNTING', 'RESEARCH', 'SALES', 'OPERATIONS')If your cursor selects objects instead of simple data types, the code is pretty much the same.
    SQL> create type object_type as object ( c1 varchar2(14), c2 varchar2(13) );
      2  /
    Type created.
    SQL> show errors
    No errors.
    SQL>
    SQL> create type nested_table_type as table of object_type ;
      2  /
    Type created.
    SQL> show errors
    No errors.
    SQL>
    SQL>
    SQL>
    SQL> create function func
      2    ( p_cursor in sys_refcursor )
      3    return nested_table_type
      4  as
      5    v_nested_table nested_table_type ;
      6  begin
      7
      8    fetch p_cursor bulk collect into v_nested_table ;
      9    return( v_nested_table );
    10
    11  end;
    12  /
    Function created.
    SQL> show errors
    No errors.
    SQL>
    SQL> select
      2    func( cursor( select object_type( dname, loc ) from dept ) ) as object_table
      3  from dual ;
    OBJECT_TABLE(C1, C2)
    NESTED_TABLE_TYPE
      ( OBJECT_TYPE('ACCOUNTING', 'NEW YORK'),
        OBJECT_TYPE('RESEARCH', 'DALLAS'),
        OBJECT_TYPE('SALES', 'CHICAGO'),
        OBJECT_TYPE('OPERATIONS', 'BOSTON')
      )(NB I manually reformated the query results for clarity).
