Mapping labour resource in ppds

Hi
I want to map labour resource with labour time fetching in order at the time of scheduling in ppds. Please help me how to achieve this..
my schenario is as....
normally i have 50 labour resources,but due to some problem only 30 labour resource came....how i can utilise these 30 resources so that my machine utilisation will be maximum and i will be able to meet my requirement...
please let me know for further clarification...
Regards
pradeepta

Hi Santosh,
You have to maintain one more capacity with category 002 in ECC with available capacity & formula to calculate the capacity. When you transfer this resource to APO apart from the machine resource, labor resource will also be transferred to APO.
When you use this resource (machine) in recipe and transfer this recipe into APO, it will reflect as secondary resource in APO PPM.
When orders are scheduled for machine you also get the requirement of labor.
Scheduling formula does not contain the parameter for labor; hence the primary resource & secondary resource consumption are same.
If the labor houru2019s requirements are different than the processing time of operation, you can try to change capacity consumption data manually for secondary resource in PPM.
If worker are not required in to give their full attention to one machine only but a pool of worker operate a couple of machine which required more attention at certain movements i.e. loading/unloading or set-up. you can create a pooled capacity in ECC system, which can be assigned to may work centers. The capacity is transferred as resource to APO and modeled as multi-mixed resource (no-dimension).

  • RESOURCES IN PPDS

    Hi all
    Working on PPDS, I´m not able to see resources in the interactive table, even more I´m not able to plan them, could you please help me to sort out the problem
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
    I have 3 PDS, with 1 resource each one, I want to level this resources in PPDS, like for example, I have 1 req of 30.000 units 1th January, and I have 3 resources free woth 24hours of capacity each one so once I´am in product table, I select the heuristic Multiple resources and:
    1. Resource capacity is not taken into account.
    2. Progamation of order is not taken into account
    3. There is not any prioriation
    I have already review all master data and I have not seen an answer

  • Mapping labour as resource in snp

    Hi ,
    any idea if labour can be mapped in SNP as resource? how can it be done?
    Regards,
    Illford

    Hi Illford,
    Define labour/person as a capacity category and define a workcenter/resource in R/3.
    then use this in the Routing and assign products and create a Production version for it in R/3.
    when you CIF this data to APO, you will have PDS/PPM for the same.
    Now, when you have planning data for this product in SNP Planning area and planning book, you can make selection on this resource or labour in the Planning table.
    Let me know your set up. hope it is clears.
    Thanks,

  • How to map a resource-ref in Jdev11 deployment plan editor

    Hi all,
    I have a ADF/BC web application where the BC4J application module does connect to a JNDI data source.
    The ViewController project does declare the Datasource as needed resource in its web.xml:
    <resource-ref>
    <res-ref-name>jdbc/wlogDS</res-ref-name>
    <res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type>
    <res-auth>Container</res-auth>
    </resource-ref>
    Now i need to map that resouurce-ref to an actual data source that exist in the application container at deploy time.
    As already in JDev 10.1.3 the deployment-plan editor provided during deployment from JDeveloper does not provide any means to enter the deployment mapping for that resourc-ref (When clicking on the node (which is named resouce-ref - that becomes very confusing in case you have defined three resource-refs in your web.xml) the right pane shows a gray pane without any edit controls) So I cannot enter the resource-ref-mapping unsing the Jdev UI.
    My workaround in 10.1.3 was to save the deployment plan to disk and manually edit it, adding
    <resource-ref-mapping name="jdbc/wlogDS" location="jdbc/wlogTestEnvDS">
    </resource-ref-mapping>
    to the orion-web-app document for that webapp
    But in Jdev 11 the deployment plan file format changed (including some binary inline checksums???)and when doing exactly the same thing, the loading of the manually edited file into Jdev Deployment plan editor fails with

    So no chance here to add a resource-ref-mapping. The alternative way of specifying a resource-ref-mapping using the web-based deployment proces of the Enterprise manager is impossible because the 11g preview OC4j does not include an enterprise manger web-application.
    So how do I deploy the application correctly other that manually modifying the deployed orion-web-app.xml file in j2ee/home/application-deployments/earName/warName/orion-web-app.xml after deploying the app without a resource-ref-mapping? Because doing that step manually each time is quite annoying.
    Greetings,
    Thomas

    Seems i'm slowly answering my own questions :-) I finally got my RMI service, even using several methods. But ...
    It doesnt help me as the lookups are not done on the context classloader it seems. That means i need to add all my service jars to the global class path causing massive sealing issues with the war contained jars. Pretty useless. All the needed stubs etc are in the war.
    But as it seems that the web app needs to contain deployment site info (sun-web.xml) anyway, i could just as easy read my own web xml from the context and resolve the services myself. But i do wonder how this is supposed to work with EJB and CORBA stuff. The samples actually also needed to add stuff to the global class path.
    I'm probably not the easiest customer as i write this kind of middle ware for a living but i really like sjsws. It makes my own one partly obsolete as it is almost as fast and has all the fancy deployment stuff (in my case i use an in-house mobile agent frame work and agents that travel the various networks ) and infinitely easier to learn to work with and understand In case anyone is wondering i wrote Uhura because 1. i needed speed so it is a servlet based webserver and not a web server with a servlet module. 2. could not wait on ibm to fix bugs in webspere and we only used the servlet bit. 2. i needed full J2EE security and 3. i needed it to run on many OS'es
    That is why i still need the same war files to be able to be deployed in both systems as i still need my systems going on IBM iservers etc.
    Again i would welcome some feed back on such and related issues
    Cheers,
    Peter

  • Mapping shared resources on a network on  an ipod Touch

    Hello All
    Does any one know of any app that makes it possible to map to a shared network resource on the same WiFi/LAN?
    This would be a VERY useful thing and seems in theory to be a simple matter but maybe there are reasons Apple doesn't allow this.
    Any thoughts?

  • Labour planning

    Hi Guys,
    My requirement is schedulling of orders should be done based on machines ,however i need to know requirement of labour , for that how my labour resource should be created and incorporated in recipe and hence in PPM so that this requirement would be met .
    I hope mapping this as secondary resource in recipe will meet this requirement.Please give your exper views.
    Thanks and regards
    Thamizh

    Hi,
    You mean to say labour hours required are different from  processing time of operation I mean scheduling time of order?
    If yes then probably you can try to change manually capacity consumption data for secondary resource in PPM .
    As scheduling formula is only taken into account for duration calculation and not any other formula.
    One more possiblity is to adjust capacity consumption through user exit.
    For more details
    http://www.springerlink.com/content/u1738678l6145021/
    Second approch is to define seperate work center for labour and  use it as parallel operation to machine operation.
    Hope this helps

    I want to create a stand-alone JDBC application with Java SE using Swing technologies and JNDI technology. The purpose of using JNDI technology is to avoid change of Java Source Code every time I move the database to different location. This Java application will be used in a standalone PC installed with Windows XP Professional with no LAN / WAN connection. Of course, Internet connection is available with the PC.
    I use JavaDB to store the data tables and the location of the database is D:\E-DRIVE\SAPDEV. Tomorrow, if I move this database to C:\SAPDEV or any network drive, I do not want to change the Java Source code. I want to use JNDI which, if I am not wrong, helps developers to avoid manual change of Java source code whenever the database location is changed. Changes have to be made only in the JNDI Name which contains all relevant information about the database in order to get connection no matter where the database SAPDEV is stored; it can be placed under D:\E-DRIVE directory or C:\ directory of the hard disk. To implement my intention, I started developing Java application as per the steps mentioned below:
    Step 1:
    To proceed, first, I sought the help of Sun Java System Application Server Admin Console. I created JNDI object for Connection Pool using the menu path Common Tasks->Resources->JDBC->Connection Pools.
    JNDI Name : ABAPRPY
    Resource Type : javax.sql.DataSource
    Datasource class : org.apache.derby.jdbc.ClientDataSource
    Description : ABAP Program Repository
    The Connection Pool creation has options for General, Advanced and Additional Settings tabs and I made all the settings relevant to the database I created in D:\E-DRIVE\SAPDEV.
    To confirm whether the above settings are correct, I pressed the Ping push button which is available in the General tab of the connection pool creation screen. The system responded with the message Ping Succeeded.
    Step 2:
    I created a JDBC Resource using the menu path Common Tasks->Resources->JDBC->JDBC Resources.
    JNDI Name : jdbc/SAPDEV
    Pool Name : ABAPRPY
    Description : Database Connection for SAPDEV database
    Status : Enabled
    I can see all the above settings recorded in the domain.xml which is placed in the folder
    C:\Sun\AppServer\domains\domain1\config
    Step 3:
    I have made sure that Sun Java System Application Server is up and running in the background with JavaDB server. I created a Java Program making sure the following JAR files are included in the classpath:
    appserv-admin.jar
    appserv-ee.jar
    appserv-rt.jar
    javaee.jar
    fscontext.jar
    Plus, the lib directory of JDK 1.6 & C:\Sun\AppServer\domains\domain1\config
    Source code of the program is as follows: I used NetBeans IDE to create my project file.
    import java.util.logging.Level;
    import java.util.logging.Logger;
    import javax.naming.*;
    import javax.activation.DataSource;
    public class JNDILookup {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    try {
    InitialContext initCtx = new InitialContext();
    DataSource ds = (DataSource) initCtx.lookup("java:comp/env/jdbc/sapdev>");
    } catch (NamingException ex) {
    Logger.getLogger(JNDILookup.class.getName()).log(Level.SEVERE, null, ex);
    When I attempted to compile the above program in NetBeans IDE ,no compilation error reported. But while executing the program, I got the following run-time error message:
    SEVERE: null
    javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: No object bound for java:comp/env/jdbc/sapdev> [Root exception is java.lang.NullPointerException]
    at com.sun.enterprise.naming.java.javaURLContext.lookup(javaURLContext.java:224)
    at com.sun.enterprise.naming.SerialContext.lookup(SerialContext.java:396)
    at javax.naming.InitialContext.lookup(InitialContext.java:392)
    at SAPConnect.JNDILookup.main(JNDILookup.java:21)
    Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException
    at com.sun.enterprise.naming.java.javaURLContext.lookup(javaURLContext.java:173)
    ... 3 more
    Now, I want to come out of this situation; at the same time, I want to preserve the settings I have made in the Sun Java System Application Server Admin Console. That is, I want to programmatically access the data source using Connection Pool created in Sun Java System Application Server Admin Console.
    I request dear forum members to provide me an appropriate solution.
    Thanks and regards,
    K. Rangarajan.

    Bare in mind I am attempting the context.lookup() from inside the container (my code is in a session bean). I have accessed the server and have my bean "say hello" first to verify the bean works OK, then I call a method with this rather standard code:
    String jndiDataSourceName ="Second_EJB_Module_DataBase";
    Logger.getLogger(DynamicPU.class.getName()).log(Level.INFO,"Programatically acquiring JNDI DataDource: "+ jndiDataSourceName);
    InitialContext ctx;
    try {
    ctx = new InitialContext();
    ds =(DataSource)ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/jdbc/"+jndiDataSourceName);
    } catch (NamingException ex) {
    Logger.getLogger(DynamicPU.class.getName()).log(Level.SEVERE, null, ex);
    return "Exception generated trying to preform JDBC DataSource lookup. \n"+ex.toString();
    But when I run the code the server log shows the initial context is created Ok, but an exception is thrown becasue the resource name is not found:
    (and i have tried vriations of ctx.lookup("jdbc/"+jndiDataSourceName) etc etc
    You are fine here. It works in container because the InitialContext properties have been supplied already. That was the link I forwarded earlier. The InitialContext you create locally needs to locate the container JNDI. That is what the properties specify.
    Where I am confused is where you indicate the stack below is from the server log. So, you initiate a standalone (java main method) application, create an InitialContext, and you see the results in your app server log?
    LDR5010: All ejb(s) of [EJB_Module_1] loaded successfully!
    Programatically acquiring JNDI DataDource: Second_EJB_Module_DataBase
    The log message is null.
    javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Second_EJB_Module_DataBase not found

    at com.sun.enterprise.naming.TransientContext.lookup(TransientContext.java:188)
    at com.sun.enterprise.naming.TransientContext.lookup(TransientContext.java:192)...
    at com.sun.corba.ee.impl.orbutil.threadpool.ThreadPoolImpl$WorkerThread.run(ThreadPoolImpl.java:555)
    This is strange since I can see this resource (a JDBC connection named Second_EJB_Module_DataBase) is configured on the server from the server's admin console.
    That is why you can obtain a lookup from within the container (app server).
    For this lookup to work it may be that one must map the name inside an ejb-jar.xml deployed with the application, but I have also read some resources like jdbc connection should have a default name. Does anyone know if my lookup() should work without using an ejb-jar.xml mfile to explcitly map the reource for my application?
    Both EBJ's and data sources can be referenced via JNDI. It's a remote lookup (that is normally optimized if it is running in the same JVM). You should not have any dependencies on a JDBC data source being set-up on ejb-jar.xml. That file can of course impact your EJB's. However, data sources are normally set-up on a container-specific basis (e.g., you probably did it through a console, but there is a spec somewhere about how to set up a data source via a resource the app server looks for; it varies from app server to app server). However, once you have that container-specific data source set-up, JNDI operates vendor-neutral. You should be able to take the code above and move it to JBoss or Weblogic or Tomcat or whatever (this is an ideal, in practice, the vendors sometimes put a data source in a name you would not expect, but again, you can use their JMX console to see what the JNDI name is).
    (As I stated above if I have to use a deployment discriptor to get at this JNDI datasource, then solution is not "programmatic" as newly configured datasources could not be accessed without redeploying the entire application).
    As JSchell alluded to, you will always have at least something vendor-specific. JNDI itself (the code you wrote) is totally portable. However, you have to set the various JNDI environment properties to a given vendor's spec. Ideally, you should not need a vendor's actual InitialContext application, but it's a possibility. Once you can safely cast to Context, you should be vendor-neutral (if not, demand your money back).
    So that is exactly where I am stuck, trying to get the lookup to work and wondering if it should work without and xml file mapping the resource for my app.
    What we ended up doing for standalone was to provide our own JNDI. If you look at the open source project JOTM, there are examples on how to use that with XBean (if integrating with Spring, as we did), you can easily set up a data source that runs standalone exactly as you get in the container. Another benefit is you get full JTA/JTS support and the ability to run XA transactions. (This might all be alphabet soup, but the app server gives it to you, and this is the way we ended up doing the same: JNDI + JTA + JTS + XA). It ends up the same application code uses a "vanilla" InitialContext and all we have to do is write one or two xml files (one for our app server, a couple for JOTM), and our actual code works the same.
    I still think you have a shot at getting to the container's JNDI, just not using their full-blown app server JAR.
    I think there must be a simple way to do this with an ejb-jar.xml, I am no expert in JNDI, I could be missing something simple, I will keep at it and post an answer here if I come up with it.
    Thanks, jayIt is simple to code. Getting it to integrate with your app server, yes, that can be challenging. But it has nothing to do with EJB's. Write a simple test. Using nothing but DataSource and InitialContext. Let us know where you get stuck.

  • OIM 11g - Reconciliation of Target Resource Status

    Hi,
    We're working with OIM 11.1.1.5.2 and connectors DBUM 9.1.0.4 and MSAD 9.1.1.7.
    Provisioning and reconciliation seem to be working correctly, but we found that the status of the resource is not getting reconciled on OIM console.
    For example, if we provision an user with an Oracle Database account, and then lock the account on the database, when we run reconciliation the event is generated and finished with "update succeded", we go to the UD_DB_ORA_U table and find that the field UD_DB_ORA_U_LOCK has a "LOCKED" value, then if we check the logs we can see that the connector is correctly mapping the resource status with the OIM object status:
    prepareTargetUsersRecordInOIMFormat : record value : LOCKED
    prepareTargetUsersRecordInOIMFormat : map : {OPEN=Enabled, 1=Disabled, YES=Disabled, 0=Enabled, EXPIRED & LOCKED=Disabled, NO=Enabled, LOCKED=Disabled}
    prepareTargetUsersRecordInOIMFormat : roValue : TEMPORARY_TABLESPACE_QUOTA
    prepareTargetUsersRecordInOIMFormat : Temp RO value : null
    prepareTargetUsersRecordInOIMFormat : reconData : [{Default Tablespace=27~USERS, Authentication Type=PASSWORD, Password=Dummy, Default Tablespace=27~USERS, Authentication Type=PASSWORD, Password=Dummy, Default Tablespace Quota=, Profile Name=27~USUARIOS, IT Resource=Oracle, User Name=USPRUEBA65, Temporary Tablespace=27~TEMP, Account Status=LOCKED, Status=Disabled, Global DN=, Privilege List=[], Role List=[{Role Admin Option=NO, Role Name=}], Temporary Tablespace Quota=}]
    prepareTargetUsersRecordInOIMFormat:: FINISHED
    But, even though the reconciliation has succeded the administrative console shows the account on "Enabled" status, and when I check the OIU table i can see that the OIM object status is still enabled.
    I found some threads related to this issue, the most similar was this one: Reconciliation for the deleted user accounts on Target Resource but everything there do not seem to be of much help because all tasks described are already done by the connector installation (at least in msad and dbum connectors).
    This problem is happening both for Active Directory and Oracle Database Users, maybe we're missing something but based on the documentation for both connectors we thought it was an OOTB functionality. Is there some system property or connector parameter we need to configure to make this work?
    Thanks.

    Hi Pallavi,
    Well, you were right after all, we were mixing 2 totally different problems here and it got us confused.
    The problem with the DBUM connector was exactly what you said, a bug in the connector, just needed to modify the connector task object to status mapping. We were checking the Reconciliation Update Received task on AD and we thought it would be the same, and it was obviously not. Well, in this case teh recon event was being generated but nothing happened, after we changed the process task it worked like a charm.
    On the other hand, the problem with the AD reconciliation was that our search filter on the recon job was configured to ommit accounts with the disabled status (!(userAccountControl=66050)), it was certainly a silly problem, never thought we had that in the filter (it's a huge filter and we didn't pay attention to that clause the first time around) but everything is working now, thanks!

  • Issue in Adding Custom Status Defnition for a resource object

    Hi,
    We have installed OIM and patch it to 9.102. We have created one custom resource object (flat file connector) for reconciliation. As part of requirement we need to define three status for this resource object - Enabled, Suspended and Disabled. As Enabled and Disabled status are available OOTB, i have added 'Suspended' status under the Status Definition in resource object. Now the issue is that if we are passing reconcile user status to either Enabled or Disabled, the status is changing fine on Linked user resource object. But if the status passed as 'Suspended' the resource account status of linked user (OIM) is not changed.
    We have mapped the resource side Status attribute to OIM_OBJECT_STATUS under process definition. I also made the entry 'Suspended' in 'Lookup.Object Object Status' lookup to see if any help, but no luck.
    The 'Suspended' status is successfully added in OST table against the object key and on manually updating the status key against the resource object it is reflecting 'Suspended' status through admin console. User-->Resource Profile
    Does anyone have any clue if the requirement is correct (adding a custom object status) and so, where i am going wrong. Thanks in advance.

    A quick doubt..If i have written down a process task and calling this on completion of 'Reconciliation Update Received' and in this process task , a adapter is attached which is updating the resource account status (ost_status) on the basis of some custom attributes. This task is working fine and updating the status. But the issue is that once this task is complete, the mapping in Process definition (loginDisabled <MetaDirectory> --> OIM_OBJECT_STATUS) overrides the status.
    Per my understanding the flow is going like this-->
    1. Reconciliation run
    2. Event Linked
    3. Reconciliation Update Received
    4. Call The custom Task --> Update the OST Status
    5. Update the OST Status per the mapping OIM_OBJECT_STATUS.
    Is there any way we can implement that the status update in (5) occurs before (4) so that my custom task status can override the (5) as per my business requirement.

  • Axis resource allocation and the MID-7654

    Hello All,
    I am currently transferring my application over to use the MID-7654 instead of third party drives.  Below is the start up process I am using to allocate the axis resources:
      //kill and disable all axes
      flex_stop_motion(boardID,0,NIMC_KILL_STOP,0x000F);
      flex_enable_axes(boardID,0,3,0x00);
      //unmap all axis resources
      flex_config_axis(boardID,NIMC_AXIS1,0,0,0,0);
      flex_config_axis(boardID,NIMC_AXIS2,0,0,0,0);
      flex_config_axis(boardID,NIMC_AXIS3,0,0,0,0);
      flex_config_axis(boardID,NIMC_AXIS4,0,0,0,0);
      //map encoder resources to axes 1 and 2
      flex_config_axis(boardID,NIMC_AXIS1,NIMC_ENCODER1,0,0,0);
      flex_config_axis(boardID,NIMC_AXIS2,NIMC_ENCODER2,0,0,0);
      //enable axes 1 and 2
      u8 mask = MASK1|MASK2;
      status = flex_enable_axes(boardID,0,3,mask);
    Basically, I want to use the encoder resources for each axis for position/velocity monitoring and control the analog outputs directly to change the torque of the motors.  Since my impedance control software is closing the position and velocity loops, I do not want to use the PID controller onboard the PCI-7344.
    The above code worked fine with the third party drive.  However, after starting up my application with the MID drive, all of the orange inhibit LEDs turn on and remain that way (I assume it is to do with killing and disabling all of the axes and not mapping output resources to them).  Since I wasn't previously using the inhibit output from the motion controller, my application worked fine with the third party drive (I was still able to read the encoder feedback information).
    Also, when I was using the MAX '1-D interactive' interface to verify my encoder feedback, if I move either encoder immediately after initialization the 'Motor off' and 'Following error' lights turn red.  I assume this is due to the encoder moving without a command sent from the motor).
    Can anyone see any problems with the above code segment or suggest an initialization procedure that would solve my problems.  Or if all else fails, is it possible to control the inhibit signals directly to enable/disable the axes on my own?
    Wow... I certainly rambled on a bit there....  If you need clarification on any points let me know.  Also, I am on a bit of a time crunch, so a prompt reply would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Chad

    Chad,
    I'm a bit astonished that you don't want to use the PID controller on the board. Onboard PID control is one of the main reasons why you would like to use a motion control board instead of a simple multifunction I/O device. The onboard PID loop of the 7344 can run with up to 16 kHz with very low jitter whilst using the DACs directly from your host application will result in a control loop with less than 200 Hz and a high amount of jitter - even if you were using a real-time OS. This will result in poor control behavior.
    This is caused by the architecture of the board. The DACs can be controlled directly by the DSP on the board with high rates in a determenistic way but the host can access them only through the board's µController that runs the host communication in 5 ms cycles that can't be synchronized with the application on the host PC. So for this usecase a combination of e. g. a PCI-6229 (multifunction DAQ board with 4 analog outputs) and a PCI-6601 (4 counters with direct quadrature encoder connectivity) would do a much better job at even a lower price.
    With this said I really can't reccomend the usage of a PCI-7344 as a pure I/O-board. Please provide some information why you want/need to choose this approach. There are a lot of options to build customized motion control systems. Please follow this link for some further information.
    A key feature of every control system is deterministic behavior so you will need to run your application on a real-time OS. Otherwise you won't be able to get a reliable control behavior.
    I can give you some more specific advice if you post some background information about your application.

  • Urgent: Access Manager resource Adapter

    Hi,
    I am able to provision TAM using Access Manager Resource adapter from SUN IDM. But TAM has some custom attributes which need to be provisioned through IDM. Can Access Manager Resource adapter do it? Has anyone come across this scenario and what is the possible solution. Any input is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Not Sure
    But you need to make custom attributes mapping in Resource adapter and then they should be provisioned in TAM.
