Correction: Mapping external resources

I am trying to build a web application that would connect to different
database upon different deployment.
To get this done, i am using external resource mapping.
My weblogic properties contains the following line:
weblogic.jdbc.TXDataSource.wapayPrdDataSource=bwapaySunThinPool
My application web.xml file is:
<web-app>
<display-name>Wapay's customer application</display-name>
<welcome-file-list>
<welcome-file>index.htm</welcome-file>
</welcome-file-list>
<resource-ref>
<description>My testing</description>
<res-ref-name>wapayPrdDataSource</res-ref-name>
<res-type>javax.sql.TXDataSource</res-type>
<res-auth>Container</res-auth>
</resource-ref>
</web-app>
My application weblogic.xml file is:
<weblogic-web-app>
<reference-descriptor>
<resource-description>
<res-ref-name>wapayPrdDataSource</res-ref-name>
<jndi-name>wapayDataSource</jndi-name>
</resource-description>
</reference-descriptor>
</weblogic-web-app>
Now when i am trying to lookup for "wapayDataSource" i get
NamingException:
javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: 'wapayDataSource'; remaining name
'wapayDataSource'
If anyone has any idea pleas advise!!!

  • IPSEC VPN clients can't reach internal nor external resources

    Hi!
    At the moment running ASA 8.3, with fairly much experience of ASA 8.0-8.2, I can't get the NAT right for the VPN clients.
    Im pretty sure it's not ACL's, although I might be wrong.
    The problem is both VPN users can reach internal resources, and vpn users cant reach external resources.
    # Issue 1.
    IPSEC VPN client cannot reach any local (inside) resources. All interfaces are pretty much allow any any, I suspect it has to do with NAT.
    When trying to access an external resource, the "translate_hits" below are changed:
    Auto NAT Policies (Section 2)
    1 (outside) to (outside) source dynamic vpn_nat interface
       translate_hits = 37, untranslate_hits = 11
    When trying to reach a local resource (10.0.0.0/24), the translate hits below are changed:
    5 (inside) to (outside) source static any any destination static NETWORK_OBJ_172.16.32.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_172.16.32.0_24
        translate_hits = 31, untranslate_hits = 32
    Most NAT, some sensitive data cut:
    Manual NAT Policies (Section 1)
    <snip>
    3 (inside) to (server) source static NETWORK_OBJ_1.2.3.0_29 NETWORK_OBJ_1.2.3.0_29
        translate_hits = 0, untranslate_hits = 0
    4 (inside) to (server) source static any any destination static NETWORK_OBJ_10.0.0.240_28 NETWORK_OBJ_10.0.0.240_28
        translate_hits = 0, untranslate_hits = 0
    5 (inside) to (outside) source static any any destination static NETWORK_OBJ_172.16.32.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_172.16.32.0_24
        translate_hits = 22, untranslate_hits = 23
    Auto NAT Policies (Section 2)
    1 (outside) to (outside) source dynamic vpn_nat interface
        translate_hits = 37, untranslate_hits = 6
    Manual NAT Policies (Section 3)
    1 (something_free) to (something_outside) source dynamic any interface
        translate_hits = 0, untranslate_hits = 0
    2 (something_something) to (something_outside) source dynamic any interface
        translate_hits = 0, untranslate_hits = 0
    3 (inside) to (outside) source dynamic any interface
        translate_hits = 5402387, untranslate_hits = 1519419

  • Problem while configuring OSB External Resource in BPM Studio

    Hi
    I have just started using the BPM Studio 10.1.3. I want to invoke my Oracle Service Bus proxy services from one of the activities in the BPM Process flow.
    I created an external resource of type Oracle Service Bus and while trying to catalogue the OSB Component I found that only my WSDL Web Service proxy services with http transport protocol are available to be catalogued. I couldnt find the proxy services of the type Messaging Service, Any SOAP Service, Any XML Service created on Oracle Service Bus.
    Am I missing anything in the configuration or is it that BPM Studio does not support these protocols(jms,mq etc).
    Also, in the Studio Reference there is a mention of Oracle BPM(native) transport that BPM supports for cataloguing OSB Components apart from http and https.
    What is this protocol and how and where can i configure the same to help me catalogue the other OSB proxies?

  • Windows Explorer Plug-In Set-Up for BeehiveOnline with External Resources

    I have watched the video on the Window Explorer Plug-In and trying to set-up so that multiple individuals can easily access files that are uploaded and make changes by checking in and out. Problem is that I do not see the Beehive Sites when I open the Oracle Beehive Extensions for Explorer. Do the Beehive Online sites with external resources use a different server name? I am logging in using the stbeehive.oracle.com Server.

    Hi.
    Yes, BeehiveOnline is a completely separate system so you will have to set up the account on BeehiveOnline as well as stbeehive. The limitations of the Microsoft approach is that the OBEE required one connection at a time so you will have to disconnect and reconnect to see the other server. OBEE gives you more control than normal WebDAV access but it has its limitations. If you use the Desktop Integration Server or a webDAv setup you can have both servers visible in the Explorer window and drag and drop easily between them .

  • External Resource JAR configuration in BPM Enterprise

    I have External resource(a JAR file) in my BPM Studio. This External JAR calls some web service and gets data. Everything is working fine when I run from BPM Studio with its in bulit Derby engine and all.
    The same BPM project I exported by using the 3rd option(Include Versionable libraries only - Recommended for publishing with Enterprise).
    I have configured BPM enterprise by using weblogic server and Oracle express as engine also. Deployed newly exported project. Everything works fine except getting following error while calling JAR which in turn call web services.
    I am getting following error in Engine.

    Did I missed configuring something in Enterprise? Any other ideas?

    Hi,
    You could either try marking the External Resource(s) with the Jar files as versionable or copy the Jar files to these directories:
    <Enterprise Home Directory>/enterprise/webapps/webconsole/WEB-INF/lib
    <Enterprise Home Directory>/enterprise/ext

  • Downloading External Resources in Applet to Load Game

    Hey all,
    I was wondering how I could download and use separate packages from my applet to use when making a game. For instance, the user would load up my main applet, which would then present a "loading" screen that shows the progress of the download of the external resources, such as images and sounds.
    Any ideas?

  • Use of Remote JDBC  SQL Database External Resource

    Does anybody here uses a Remote JDBC External Resource to connect to a database? If so, can you tell me if had any impediment with this approach?
    I'm asking this because our company has a lot of tools to monitor a lot of weblogic assets (such as jdbc connection pools and datasources) and We'd like to monitor all BPM-to-database connections usage and pool health. Other feature that we'd like to give to BPM application is the weblogic's capability to use an Multi-DataSource (one logical DS that represents more than one phisical DS).
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Luiz Rocha

    Hi,
    We are facing connection leak in our application .We have defined External resouce as Remote JDBC which is defined in weblogic config.Xml. If any body could explain is there is anyway to handle closing connections manually as we do in J2ee conn.close() in ALBPM ??? . I found runtime configuration in oracle implementation type when defining external resource (i.e supported type:oracle database) an attribute
    "*Connection idle time* (mins): The connection is closed after the defined time"
    But i dont find any equivalent entry in my config.xml as we do our implementation of type Remote JDBC.....
    Any advice on this and how connection closing happens in Normal scenarios within ALBPM will be very useful.
    Our connection pool attributes reads like.....(Note *the values of few attributes deleted)
    <JDBCConnectionPool AddOracleFlagToXAResource="true"
    CountOfTestFailuresTillFlush="1"
    DriverName=""
    InitialCapacity="150" KeepXAConnTillTxComplete="true"
    MaxCapacity="200" Name=""
    PasswordEncrypted=""
    Properties="user=" ShrinkingEnabled="false"
    SupportsLocalTransaction="true" Targets=""
    TestConnectionsOnCreate="false" TestConnectionsOnRelease="false"
    TestConnectionsOnReserve="true"
    TestTableName="SQL SELECT 1 FROM DUAL"
    URL=""
    XARetryDurationSeconds="300" XASetTransactionTimeout="true" XATransactionTimeout="420"/>
    .Advice us can the below attribute can be added in Connection pool properties or anything else......
    **{[(*Inactive Connection Timeout The number of inactive seconds on a reserved connection before WebLogic Server reclaims the connection and releases it back into the connection pool.***
    ***You can use the Inactive Connection Timeout feature to reclaim leaked connections - connections that were not explicitly closed by the application. Note that this feature is not intended to be used in place of properly closing connections.***
    ***When set to 0, the feature is disabled*.)}]**

  • Urgent: External resource (web service) ConnectorException

    Hi!
    I'm using web services in my processes. The engine run on WL 10.3. When I try to use the web service, I get the following exception in the log:

    Reason: 'java.lang.RuntimeException: fuego.lang.ComponentExecutionException: The task could not be successfully executed.

         at fuego.web.execution.impl.WebInteractiveExecution.process(WebInteractiveExecution.java:54)
    The resource <web service name>/Web Service and the referred Server Configuration are configured.
    From the error message "The connector must be configured in the appropiate context.":
    *) what is meant by "connector"?
    *) what "context"?
    Antother question: if I modify my external resources, how can I make the change effective for the processes in the WL environment?
    Thank You,
    Jaanus

    I figured it out.
    When I deployed the project I got a strange error message "Duplicate configuration name" each time I tried to create an external resource or a role from the deployment wizard. Still, the resources appeared in the list as they were created. In fact they were not. After restarting the administration console the resources were gone. After adding them by hand everything worked fine.
    Still don't know why I got "Duplicate configuration name", even with empty base.

  • Asking the TRM for Tasks with external Resources

    Hi everbody,
    I have a question regarding to TRM.
    I have set up a TRM with manual Resources.
    Now I want to add external automatic Resources.
    If I know it right, I have to program it by myself, but  I don't know exactly how.
    To add an external Resource I can use "LTIF_RSRCE_EXTERNAL_LOGON " to accept a Task I can use "LTSK_TASK_ACCEPT "
    and to get a Task "LTSK_TASK_ACCEPT".
    But the Problem is, that I have to ask the whole time, isn't it  possible that the TRM tells me "Hey, I have a Task for you" ?
    If I have to ask the TRM  "Do you have a Task for me", I have to do this in infinite loops, right?
    This could be a performance problem if I have a lot of automatic Resources.
    Does anyone has something like a tutorial for me?
    Best regards
    Thorsten Buchta

    Does no one has an idea?

  • BPM Studio-Issue with Creating External Resources - Oracle Database RAC

    Hi All,
    This must be an easy fix and hope you guys have an answer to it. I was having no issues connecting to a single instance database as the parameter Host = "xxx.111.200.10" for a SQL Database Oracle 10,11 driver is pointing to a single instance and the SID = "yyyyy". TNS Name entry is as below...
    xyz =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = xxx.111.200.10)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVER = DEDICATED)
    (SERVICE_NAME = yyyyy)
    However we have upgrade our oracle database and it is in a RAC with load balancing hence the TNS Name entry looks like this.
    xyz =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = abcdh-vip)(PORT = 1521))
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = abcdi-vip)(PORT = 1521))
    (LOAD_BALANCE = yes)
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVER = DEDICATED)
    (SERVICE_NAME = yyyy.abcd.com)
    Any combination using "xyz", "abcdh-vip" , "abcdi-vip" etc is erroring and I am getting the following error:

    Regards,

    Hi,
    Sure you've probably tried this but here goes...
    Use the Oracle Driver that comes with Oracle BPM to integrate with RAC.
    To integrate to Oracle RAC, you're typically given something like this by the DBA.
    jdbc:oracle:thin:@(DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = atwood-vip.int.westgroup.com)(PORT = 1521)) (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = kenwood-vip.int.westgroup.com)(PORT = 1521)) ) (CONNECT_DATA = (Service_name = bpms_pot_dev.int.westgroup.com) (SERVER = DEDICATED) ) )
    When defining the External Resource for Oracle RAC check the “Advanced” checkbox (not the tab) and insert this text into the “Database” field:
    //atwood-vip.int.westgroup.com:1521;ServiceName=bpms_pot_dev.int.westgroup.com;LoadBalancing=true;AlternateServers=(kenwood-vip.int.westgroup.com:1521)
    Hope this helps,
    Dan
