Mapping with attachments, DataType creation

Hi all,
Have to solve two problems:
1. How to map attachment? - I'm getting message with an attachment on XI, then I need to extract it and convert to base64 string(guess it will be done with java mapping, but I don't know how at all).
2. I'm trying to create my own DataType. Among others, it will contain an element, witch I have to import from xsd schema. The xsd definition contains global references to other namespaces, e.g.  http://ns.hr-xml.org/2007-04-15:StructuredXMLResume and others.
Please assist!

Hi Dmitriy,
Ad 1.
Please use adapter module to switch attachment to main message and later map it using java mapping.

Ad 2.
You need to download all definitions and link them in integration repository.

  • Message mapping with attachments?

    Hi there,
I want to read in two flat files and process them afterwards in the XI (message mapping and such).
I know that it is possible via BPM (as discussed here, for example: Combining Input Files ). But I'm told to do it via the file adapter's "Specifying Additional Files" ( http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ae/d03341771b4c0de10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm ), where those additional files are attached to the message. The advantage of this approach is that I can tell the File Adapter to only start when both files are present (--> optional = NO). This is not possible with the BPM method, is it?
I haven't found a way to use the attached file(s) in a message mapping - apart from using ABAP mapping or implementing a adapter module that merges the attachment into the payload. Both possibilities seem to need way more effort than I feel should be necessary...
    Thanks in advance!
    Dennis

    Hi all!
Thanks once again for your kind help! We finally agreed to take the BPM approach nevertheless, as it's "nearest to the standard" and thus (hopefully) easiest to maintain.
We inserted a time-out into the BPM, so that it will abort after a short time when only one file was present. Not perfect, but good enough.
The advantage of this solution is that we can convert the CSV files to XML within the File adapter again. Both calling a MapForce transformation and afterwards combine the XML files within an Adapter module really doesn't sound like the optimal way...

  • Send With Map of Attachments & Map Variable

I'm trying to send multiple attachments using "Send With Map of Attachments" Service.  I've setup a map variable (attachments_map) of sub-type string to hold the path and file name for each file (represented as <full_path>/<file_name>.pdf).<br /><br />What I'm confused about is that I don't understand the keys of the map given the following statement in the help file about this specific Email service: "The keys for the map are the attachment file names. The file names should include the file name extension if the email receiver needs to associate the file with software to open it."<br /><br />I have two questions:<br /><br />1)  What are the keys for the map needed for the "Send With Map of Attachments" service for Attachments and what is the XPath representation to send this data to the service (e.g., /process_data/attachment_map/@file[0] or /process_data/attachment_map/@file[<file_name>] or what) ?  I don't know what the required XML structure looks like.  As you can tell, I've not used a map variable before either!  :)<br /><br />2)  As in the "Send With Document" service, is there a way to define the file name saved in the e-mail that the receiver sees?<br /><br />Example:<br />Receiver sees this in e-mail:  "File.pdf"<br />But the path and file are actually this:  T:/Files/XXXX_File.pdf<br /><br />Thanks for your help in advance!

FINALLY figured this out! I configured a map variable of sub-type document called "attachment_map". I have the files that are to be attached stored in a database, and I used the component Query for Multiple Rows to get the attachment data into an XML document. I then built an iterative process loop to parse the XML (using the NodeSet functions count() and position() to control this) loading the file name for each file (the map key) into the process variable "attachment_file_name" and the full file path and name into another variable "attachment_file_full_path". The process loads the documents (one at a time) into the map variable using the Foundation file utility Read Document - the input variable is /process_data/@attachment_file_full_path and the output variable is /process_data/attachment_map/[@id=/process_data/@attachment_file_name]. After the map is loaded with all the attachments I wanted, I used the Send With Map of Attachments component with /process_data/attachment_map/ as my Attachments variable. As long as the file names are unique, they all came through.

  • How to lock a specific map with a password in FINDER?

I don't use a password on my mac because you have to fill it out the whole time for ridiculous reasons. But I have one map, with all my financial numbers and invoices, that I want to secure with a password.
    How to do that?
I already tried some things but can't figure it out.
    Thanks in advance!

not sure what you mean by a map here. if you use a blank admin password (a mistake IMO), pretty much your only option is to create an encrypted disk image using disk utility and put whatever you want protected inside. when the image is unmounted, the only way to mount it is by entering the password you set at the image creation time.

  • Creating a new folder and drive map with Preferences

So I am trying to set things up using GPP so that users of a particular security group get a U:\ drive at the following location:
    \\server\share\%username%
I have set up the drive map preference & also a folders preference (to create the user's folder).  The problem is that it works BACKWARDS and the drive tries to map prior to folder creation and thus fails, THEN the folder gets created.  So
that the 2nd time the user logs in they actually get the U:\ drive at the correct location.  The goal is to have the folder created and mapped to on the 1st try for the user.
How can I get this working WITHOUT resorting to scripts, folder redirection, or manually setting the U drive on the AD Profile?  I just want that folder to be created for only users in the proper security group, and then have the drive map
    to it.
    # When I wrote this script only God and I knew what I was doing. # Now, only God Knows!

You cannot. The execution order of GPO parts (called Client Side
Extensions) cannot be changed, so you're stuck with this error if you
    don't resort to a script :)

  • Collect mailmessages with attachments (xml)

I am getting some problems to collect a mail message with a XML attachment.
For this scenario I use the Sender Mail adapter and I would like to collect several mail messages with attachments for 10 minutes and put them together in one file with the File Adapter (NFS).
To make it not to complicated I started to read one mail message with attachment.
From the mail message I would like to use the message text in the mail. The attachment is an XML file with 3 fields (Name, Adress, ID).
The output file is based on :
    - Message  (input is the text in the mail message)
    - Name
    - Adress
    - ID
My CC Mail Sender settings are:
    Transport protocol: Pop3
    Message protocol: XIPayload
Mailattributes :  Use Mail Package = yes
                Keep Attachments  = yes
Based on several how to’s from this website, how to import mails with attachments.
When this message is send to XI  the substance tells me in the monitor that I use 2 Payloads:
        - Mail Message (text/xml;charset=utf-8)
        - MailAttachment-1 (text/xml;name=”testattachment.xml”)
Because I would like to combine those 2 messages into 1 file. I use a fork in BPM.
To create relation for BPM I added after the inbound receiving for each input message a field “relation”, which is needed for correlation in BPM.
But my problem is, because the payload exist of 2 messages and it is only possible to reach only on at the same time..
In my message mapping I have two inputs: Mail and Attachment and my output is one message.
Is their a solution how I can combine those 2 payloads into one, before it’s getting into the BPM scenario or where I can use more payloads at the same time?
I already tried looking for this at post  on SDN, but I could not find anything similar.

    Hi Venu,
When I try to use your suggestion, I get a problem with my message interface.
In my communication channel (CC) for the Mail Adapter (Sender) you need to set the Default XI parameters with a default interface name.
In my case I have the input of one interface of the mail message
and one interface of the attachment. But in CC you can only work only with one  message interface.
When I try to work with only one, only one message will be processed. So just the mail message not the attachment, or the other way around.
Is their another solution, to prevend this?

  • Value mapping with BPM

    Hi Experts
How to do value mapping with BPM.
I tried searching for blogs in SDN but i didnt get any solution
    Regards
    Sowmya

    Hi,
Your question is not very clear. Let me know how you want to use Value mapping?
You can implement value mapping in two ways..
    1. Value Mapping Replecation Method, in which we create ABAP program (outbound proxy) in R3 which selects data from R3 tables and sends into XI, and which get stored in XI JAVA Cache untill you run the ABAP program next time which is very rare. This kind of method is best when you have large amount of R3 data.
    2. If you have some data which is used just to varify the conditions at run time then in that case we go for Value Mapping creation in Integration Directiory. Below mentiond blog will give an idea how to use Value mapping in ID.
    /people/community.user/blog/2007/01/08/valuemapping-using-the-graphical-mapping-tool
Value Mapping is used in Graphical Mapping which gives the value at run time only, so you cannot test it in TEST Tab of message mapping.
So as per you question, BPM can come into picture later on after you maintain the value mapping in ID and do the corresponding mapping in IR.

  • Invalid Mapping with SIT for an outport inside a subsystem in a the simulink model.

    Hello everybody,
I am trying to use SIT to target simulink models on a PXI target.
The simulink model contains a subsystem with an outport. I have created
a mapping between the signal coming out of that outport to a waveform
chart on the host VI. The mapping works fine when I run the model on
the local host but becomes invalid when I target the dll to a pxi
    target.
I have been able to create a very simple simulink model and host VI
that is mimicking this problem. This model does
not do anything useful and is made to only demonstrate just this problem. I am attaching the model and the userinterface here.
    Note:
I have already taken care of the fact that I can not use signal storate
reuse, block reduction and also cant use linked or linked+masked
subsystems. A testimony to this is the fact that I am able to create
mapping with other signals in the subsystem. Also outport is a virtual
block in simulink so I have created a testpoint on the signal going
into the outport to be able to probe it.
Any kind of suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vicku.

You have two options to be able to probe this signal in the subsystem that should work fine for this small example you posted. Let me know if they also apply to your actual model.
You have the outport itself set as a test point currently in your subsystem block. Try setting the wire coming out of the subsystem outport as a test point and then rebuilding your dll. That should make the outport signal probable.
Instead of probing the actual outport, you could probe the signal in the subsystem that is wired into the outport. In the case of your example that would be using_subsystem/Subsystem/Sum1:1.
    Hope this helps!

  • Assemble PDF with attachments

Hi All,<br /><br />I am planning to assemble a PDF document with attachments. Or as I see my requirement is to create a PDF and attach various files to it. The PDF would then be sent as an attachment to an email.<br /><br />The user should be able to open the emailed PDF and save the image/application attachments seperately.<br /><br />To achieve this I had generated the sample DDX and tried it in a process, but no luck.<br /><br />All the source objects are avaialble int he assembler map object of documents with the correct key value.<br /><br /><?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><br /><DDX xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/DDX/1.0/"><br /><PDF result="pdf2image_res.pdf"><br /><PDF source="pdf2image_res.pdf"><br /> <FileAttachments source="image-1.jpg" nameKey="image-1.jpg"><br />  <File filename="image-1.jpg"/><br /> </FileAttachments><br /> <FileAttachments source="image-2.jpg" nameKey="image-2.jpg"><br />  <File filename="image-2.jpg"/><br /> </FileAttachments><br /></PDF><br /></PDF><br /></DDX><br /><br />Then I extract the generated pdf in a document like '/process_data/docAssemblerMap[@id='pdf2image_res.pdf']'<br /><br />The generated PDF does not have the attachments embedded in it.<br /><br />Any thoughts/help would be greatly appreciated.

I tried it with your ddx (with minor modification)and it worked fine.
I would try to use the Record and Play back to make sure all the components of your map are set properly.

  • Does Workshop deal with SOAP Messages with Attachments

I try to send back an image from my web service. Is there a way to make a SOAP Messages
    with Attachments using BEA Workshop?
    Thanks,
    Jerome.

    Hi Jerome,
I'm pretty sure that Workshop doesn't support SwA (SOAP with Attachments) yet. The
product manager says that it is being considered for a future version, though :-)
In the meantime, I don't see any reason why you can't just use a Java class that
uses the JavaMail API to construct a Multipart MIME message. The MimeMultipart class
(the one that acts as a container for a multipart/related document) has a writeTo()
method that you can use to populate a ByteArrayOutputStream. Afterwards, you should
be able to use the toByteArray() method on this ByteArrayOutputStream, to create
the byte[] that maps to a xsd:base64Binary data type. The nice thing about this,
is that the target web service has complete access to the SOAP message (in the first
Body part), and all the attachments :-)
    Just a thought...

Can any one please help as to how I can do the following in Oracle SOA 11g:
Using a BPEL process how can I send an Email with attachments where the attachment itself is coming from a SOAP attachment.
The back ground is that we have portal sites from where the users can upload a document and then from their a SOA service is invoked and the attachment would be passed as (SOAP attachments) and then emails have to be send to users containing this uploaded document as the attachment.

  • Updating country and regional maps with Nokia Suit...

    Hi Folks
I am an E72 owner and a frequent user of Nokia Maps. Hence I use Nokia Suite to keep the map data up to date, time to time.
I normally download all countries by right-clicking the ALL item and choosing 'download all'. I thought I could download all available maps this way. But when all downloads are finished, I still can see some regional maps are NOT downloaded as the 'download' button is available for the regions.
Initially, I thought the regional maps of a country were NOT necessary if their country map has been downloaded simply because the country map should cover its all regions (comparing the map size of a country and its regions, and the regional maps were not automatically downloaded by default)
But it seems not that ture, at least for the latest map data v0.1.29.100.
As shown in the attached screenshot, for some countries, e.g.China, France, India, Italy, Spain and USA, some regional maps were automatically downloaded though most regional maps remain undownloaded (the 'download' button is available).
Why? Only those regional maps have been updated?
Do I really need to download ALL regional maps to keep all data up to date?

It is interesting that the World Maps of scoobyman's E52 does not show any regional maps of China. The regional map of Heilongjiang will not appear in scoobyman's Nokia Suite, as there is no triangle symbol before 'China' indicating no regional maps for China at all. That definitely looks like the same thing that I saw on my E72 before updating to 00.01.29.100 map data.
First, scoobyman 's post has created confusion as he has not checked the same way as OP has done. He has checked selecting Maps and Voice Guidance on Phone at the bottom and not by selecting All under Maps at the top. If you see both attachments posted by me you can see the difference how they are displayed.

BTW, it notice that you both are using a new version of Nokia Suite 3.8.13 Beta. Not sure if it could make any difference.
Whether Maps version is same or different is not the point. Even if the Maps version is different in both the cases it is being displayed the SAME way as OP ..only difference being the sizes of the data files ...
