Maps opening

my nokia e72 can't open maps, viber and some other applications. What suitable application should I install first.

Because I do not have any other idea – I am not aware Nokia Maps needs any additional software –, did you consider the Nokia Software Recovery Tool on a Windows computer already?

Multiple image maps opening defined new windows

I want to make one image, with two image maps. Each image map
when clicked, opens a new browser window that is SIZED depending on
how I define it to be in the code.
Here is an example of an image with two image maps. How do I
add the code to make those maps open a SIZED window (lets say 500
pixels x 500 pixels?)

IPhoto: Places map opens during other functions

While trying to sort photos, make albums, etc, the Places map will open on its own. When it does this, all of the photos I have selected become unselected. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Places has been disabled in iPhoto so it shouldn't be active at all.

I think I figured it out.
It appears that the iPhoto Places map centers on the extent with the greatest number of individually geo-tagged photos. Rather than centering the map to the area in the middle of all your locations (i.e. one location, one "point"), it actually prioritizes locations by how many individually tagged photos are at that location (i.e. one location, many potential "points").
Secondarily it may be a screen size issue. When I falsely tag a bunch of photos in Hawaii, then I can only see HI and mainland U.S. (no Asia or Europe).
I guess Apple assumes you'll want to see most where you have the most tagged photos. This is unfortunate, however, as I tend to tag overseas locations by the entire Event (many photos placed at one location) vs my domestic photos which may or may not have locations. I guess it'll even out over time, but still, it would be nice to be able to set a specific "home" location or viewing extent.

How do I retrieve the icons in the download map of my 2009 iMac with Maverick. They show up in the finder, but not when I open downloads from the dock.

I have a 2009 iMac running on Mavericks. Since a few days, when I open the Download Map from the dock, I only see "empty" icon symbols. When I leave the map open the icons re-appear after some 20 seconds. When I re-open the downloads, the icons are empty again.
How do I get the icons to behave in a normal way again?

bro I just had this issue its as simple as swiping to the right of each album artwork that does not display in the list view (On your Iphone.) Once you swipe to the right on every album that does not display in the list view you will see the delete option come up. Hit delete! Dont be scared. Do this with every album art that does not show up and then resync your Iphone. Go to the list view again and all of your missing album artwork will be displayed in both the list overview and close up landscape mode.

(Some) Bing (formerly Multimedia) maps won't open properly

I am trying to access the maps associated with the names on the list of plaques at:

on a computer running Windows Vista Home Premium and AVG Internet Security 2011.
Many of the maps have an overlay indicating the position of the plaque and giving the position of the plaque and names and distances from railway stations (see Ernest Bevin, the second name on the list). However, some of the maps do not have such an overlay (see Eric Ball, first name on the list).
When I try to open the maps using Firefox 7, I find that those without an overlay open without any problem, while those that have an overlay close immediately - in the blink of an eye, so to speak - and this problem persists even when all add-ons and plug-ins are disabled. However, if I try using IE 9, all the maps open without any difficulty.
This would suggest that the problem is somehow due to Firefox, but the puzzling thing is that my wife's laptop, also running Windows Vista and AVG, will open all these maps in Firefox without any problem at all.
Can anyone suggest why this might be happening?

Also: Setting the Finder to always open folders in a new window DID fix this, but I'd rather not do that if I can avoid it.

Google maps turn by turn directions no longer interrupts iTunes music player in iOS7

I often use Google Maps app when I travel while simultaneously listening to music. I have my iPhone connected to my car stereo via the Lightning port. In iOS6, when Google would give turn by turn directions the music volume would duck and the voice guided navigation would play through the car stereo. After updating to iOS7, this feature no longer works. With both iTunes and Google Maps open, the music volume is always dimmed and voice guided navigation is always off.
I do not notice this issue with Apple's Maps app. So far it appears to work properly and I am using this as a work around. However there are several reasons I favor Google Maps as a superior solution for the moment. For example, if I ask for directions to a specific location such as a local business Google is able to provide this information 90% of the time. By comparison, the same query with Siri usually results in having to search the web for an address first and then having to go back and ask for directions to that specific street address. It is a minor inconvenience, but it is enough of a hassle that I tend to stick with the better content of Google Maps for now.
Perhaps this bug is iOS7 related or perhaps the issue is with the Google Maps app. Either way, I am reporting because I'd love to see it fixed. I have noticed several bugs (this being one of many that I am reporting) since upgrading to iOS7 which has been very disappointing. I am a huge Apple advocate and this has not been the experience of "It just works" that I have come to expect from my Apple products. It is because I care so much about the Apple ecosystem that has made my work and play so much more enjoyable that I will take the time to report these in hopes that Apple will take notice and that subsequent updates will address these issues.

I never did. Partly I believe it's the interaction with my car's bluetooth connection and instructions it sends the phone when they connect. It seems like if I actively QUIT all applications that could play audio (SiriusXM, Podcasts, Music), then I can get the directions without any music. (That said, the SiriusXM app doesn't always play nice. If any of these are open, not even playing, then they start up when I select bluetooth audio on my car stereo. But I still can't tell the audio to stop without it muting either Google Maps or Apple's Maps. They both behave the same way.

Message Mapping is not picking up

Hi,
I am configuring the scenario "file to SOAP" call. I have made all the configurations as per requirements. I used message mapping. When I used tcode "SXMB_MONI" to monitor the message. After the event "REQUEST_MESSAGE_MAPPING" when I seen message payloads. I am unable to see the message with requested mappings. But message status shows "SUCCESSFUL".

Hi,
Have you tested your message mapping? If not, test it now by taking the payload from sxmb_moni. Go to IR->Message mapping->open ur mapping and test it in the Test tab.

Is it possible to embed Google Maps in Captivate?

I am using Captivate 7.0.1.237.
I want to insert Google Maps in one of my slides. I thought it is just a matter of getting the required link from Google Map (Open Google Map > Search for the required location > Click Settings > Copy the path in Share Link) and adding that in the Web Object interaction.
But it is not working. I have tested it from my local system and a web server.
Please advise.

There's a free app available in the App Store called iFindView. It's Google maps, and a better version on the one that was present in IOS5.

Java.lang.NullPointerException - trying to deploy a mapping

Environment:
OWB Tahoe Development Version 11.2.0.1 on Windows 7
Oracle 11.2.0.2 EE on AIX - Repository and all target tables
I have imported metadata from older version of OWB and have been able to successfully deploy most all the other objects, functions, external tables, etc. from the Control Center Manager.
I am able to deploy only a very few maps and all the others get the above error. The maps validate. When I try to generate from the Design Center the message says it was unable to generate the code and to check the 'Message' tab. The 'Message' tab only says the map validated successfully.
How in the world do I debug this?

Thanks very much for the response.
When I have the map open for edit and click the 'Validate' button the map validates OK.
When I right-click the map name from the Navigation panel and click 'Validate' I get the message:
'VLD-1141: Internal error during mapping generation.' Then the NullPointerException below that.
When I open the map and click the 'Generate' button I get the following message in the 'Script' tab under the 'Generation Results' tab:
Code cannot be generated.
Click the message tab for details.
When I click the 'message' tab all it says is the map validated successfully.
I feel like I'm chasing my tail!! :-(
I have also set the logging properties as suggested in the article link you provided last time, BTW thanks for that, and after using several different levels of output I can't see any error message that means anything to me concerning why the map fails to generate.
Any other suggestions are most welcome.

Google Maps does not show street view or choice of map or satellite on 4.01. IE does.

I installed 4.01 on XP. Google Maps opens with satellite view. I cannot find toggle for maps. Street View is not available.
These still show up on IE8. VPike.com which is powered by Google Maps works fine.

Why is apple maps syncing my favorites?

Whenever I add a favorite in "maps" it gets synced to my other ios devices.
So far I haven't found a way to turn that off.
Every option in iCloud is turnef off.

I don't even have a SIM card inserted into the device, so I don't see how that could impact it. All other download services are working fine, with consistently about 15-20Mbps download speeds on Comcast. It is only Apple Maps that seems to have an issue. Trying TopoMaps, e.g., the map loaded instantly on places I have never searched before (ergo, map tiles were not cached).

No Livesight in HERE maps on Lumia 920

After upgrading to HERE Maps on Monday I cannot see the new Livesight option inside HERE Maps.
It is not listed neither in Places nor in the map layers (Satellite, Traffic, ...)
Has anybody been able to use Livesight inside HERE Maps?
Does it work for you? If it does, in which country?

I've found LiveSight.
When you have HERE maps open click on places. When you now click to choose a view you see LiveSight as one of the map options.

N8 - Ovi Maps & Routing Speech through Bluetooth

Is there any way to route the voice directions from Ovi Maps to bluetooth headphones?
I tried the other day, with music playing from my N8 through my bluetooth headphones the voice directions were still only coming out of the handset itself!
Not much use if I'm using the satnav whilst riding a bicycle! That was one really useful thing I found about my HTC Desire - it would send the directions via the bluetooth headphones if connected, even if music was playing! It would pause the music, say the directions, then start playing again! Sadly then the battery would die before I reached my destination

I have posted this before but here goes again:- There is a work-around, which is not exactly elegant but at least good enough to use for this safety- relevant feature.
Record a file with 2 mins of quiet/no sound/empty room etc. Save this to your music directory on the phone. Before using the ovi maps open the music player and set this to play the quiet.mp3 continously/repeat. THEN when connecting your blue-tooth device and using the maps you will get the sound directions. This works because idiotically the blue-tooth sound directions are only active when "music" is being played. Which normally is unusable/distracting. If the "music" is in fact at most a light backgroud "hiss..." then this is not so bad.
p.s. One can expect a bit more battery useage this way. Good idea to have a charging facility on your vehicle. In my case with a 125cc Scooter I have built this under the seat. The BT works fine from there so I can use the maps while the N8 is charging.
