Marketing Attributes Authorization

Hi all,
I would like to know whether is it possible in CRM 2007 to set the authorization for some specific Marketing attributes so that only authorized user can see those marketing attributes. Would appreciate if some hints are also provided.

Hi,
Go to transaction pfcg & search for your standard marketing business role, then under authorization tab you can see all authorization objects maintained under "display authorization data". Edit the objects for your fields to suit your requirements...

Please note that in Transaction PFCG you have to assign the appropriate three digit attribute set key under the authorization group BGKRL to the authorization object C_KLAH_BKL for assigning attribute sets and to the authorization object C_KLAH_BKP for editing attribute sets.

Marketing Attribute set Authorization.

Is there marketing attribute set Authorization, So that one set of users can see only their Attribute set..Appreciate any hellp in this regard. The CRM version is 5.0.

Change group authorization to marketing attributes

Hi,
I need change authorization permissions to Attribute Set. It have assigned to persons but now I need add authorization to ORGANISATION to show it in organization marketing attributes. When I enter in Transacción CRMD_PROF_TEMPL I can change all information but I cannot add authorization.
Anyone know if is possible change it without delete and create the attribute? Is much difficult because I must delete the attribute from all Business Partners.

Go to the "Marketing Attributes" section and there you will find relevant solution tools for your purpose.

Error message while creating marketing attributes

I get a message 'express document "update was terminated" recieved from author' while creating and saving a marketing attribute. The attribute gets created and I can assign them as well. I would like to know why I am getting this message and am I missing something?
I am using CRM 5.0 online.

You should check if there is a dump in ST22..... If there is one, then you can find the cause there... Most of the times it is an Authorization Issue.

Expert Tools for Marketing Attributes

Hi,
In Expert Tools, if we use the tool Assignment of an Attribute value to all BPs in a Target Group and specify the old attribute in Old value and new in New Value field, the old attribute in overwritten by the new attribute.
When I go to BP Master and check the Marketing attributes tab page of one of the BP, the new attribute is captured there.
But when in segment builder I try to search this BP in my Target group, the BP is not there.
I tried to change attributes of this target group many times through expert tools, everytime this particular BP's attributes were also changed, which means this BP is a part of my target group. Whey Can't I see it in the segment builder when I view list of all BPs in this target group?

Invalid format for Marketing Attributes

Hi colleagues,
I have marketing attributes of type NUM 5,2 which are causing erros of type Invalid Format.
I would like to know where do I change this configuration (path in SPRO/Cutomizing Implementation Guide) in CRM.
And If someone knows what type generally is used... it seems strange that standard validation is not accepting this...

Can you please let me know what is this 5,2? Is this a value for the attribute?
In the Attributes table, you can only mention the decimal place and in the value table you have to maintain the exact number of decimal places as you mentioned in the attributes.
e.g.
if you create an attribute say "Frequency of Purchases", Format - Numeric Format, Decimal Places - 2, In that case, you have to maintain a values like 35,02 or 34,00 or 37,59 etc.
If you want to change the decimal separator say "," to ".", you can do it in CRM system, as follows
-login to CRM system using sapgui command
-login with your credentials
-go to system->user profile-> own data or you can directly use the transaction SU3
-go to tab "Default" -> change the field "Decimal Notation" as per your liking.
For this you must have an authorization to change your data or ask your administrator to change the same.

Marketing attribute valid for a specific customer only?

We have a requirement that a specific marketing attribute set should only be valid for a specific group of customers.
Is this possible to define in customizing?
Any other suggestions of how to solve this?

The territory solution is unfortunately not possible, cause we do not have a perfect match between the attribute sets and the customers belonging to a particular territory. Otherwise that would have been a great solution, I really appreciate your answer.
Regarding ACE, I thought that the authorization concept would be based on the user? The user should have access to all marketing attributes, but for a particular customer only certain marketing attributes should be valid. Is that possible to set up with ACE?
Could you further explain that approach?

Marketing attribute tab is missing

Hi All,
We are working on CRM 4.0.
we have transferred the BP data from X server to Y server .
But when we check BP in Y server I found that Marketing attributes tab page is missing.
Can any one suggest me in this regard? Any help will be greatly helpful and highly rewarded.

DV,
1. Please check that the Marketing Attributes Screen is registered properly under the various BDT settings: Transcations BUS5 for the screen (CRM005 I believe) and BUS6 for the screen sequence. You may want to try regenerating the screens and objects, otherwise also have a look at transaction BUCO.
2. Check that the screen tabs for the General Data under the business partner are being painted properly in the correct sequence.
3. Try and verify that the authorizations for the marketing tabs are available to the user. See note 614514.
Let us know how it goes, and please elaborate on System X and Y as well as the SP level.

Error When Creating/Inserting New Marketing Attribute Value

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year,
Need help here, when I create/insert new marketing attribute value in existing marketing attribute, I encounter the following error "The values currently maintained lead to inconsistencies in the database".
In the detail error, it specifies that I was trying to change existing attribute which is not true.
Initially i thought it was authorization issue, but when i do the same procedure in CRM GUI, it works fine, only from Web UI then i encounter the problem.
Any lead is really appreciated.

For marketing attributes you have the following two authorization objects:
- C_KLAH_BKP - authorization to maintain marketing attributes
- C_KLAH_BKL - authorization to assign attributes to BP

I made an external list. A do the right mapping rules in CRM.
In the .csv file I give the Org_number and the charcterist code of the marketing attribute.
After I running the External List maintanance, the system tells me that everything ok, but in the bp basic data the marketing attributes doesn't displaying!
So help me, it is very important for me.

If marketing attributes are created properly and you are not able to view the attributes in GUI; check authorization of following autho class to your user in user profile.
C_KLAH_BKL Authorization for Classification
Actvt 01 Create
02 Change, Delete
03 Display

Populating marketing attribute of bp in new field created by eew in crm

Hi all,
    I have created new field in transaction types(lead opp, quotation and order) through eew.
    how do i populate a value of a marketing attribute that i have maintained for a business partner(TABLE for marketing attribute:- AUSP) in the new fields created in all the transaction types.
    Can anyone help me in how to achieve this as it is an high priority issue for me?
    I have tried doing by writing a code in pbo of the screen in which fields are created but it gives me a dump at item level if item is maintained otherwise it works but item is compulsary.

Check the BADI 'CRM_CUSTOMER_H_BADI'
Implement the method 'CRM_CUSTOMER_H_MERGE'
First of all select the data from the table.
Fill in the appropriate corresponding field in the structure 'CS_CUSTOMER_H_BADI',of the method, with the data extacted. Finally(very important), In the table 'IT_INPUT_FIELD_NAMES', of the method, append a line with the field FIELDNAME containing the name of the field in the Customer_h structure and field CHANGEABLE containing space.
I think this should solve your problem.

Error in Marketing Attribute Update

HI All,
I need to update the Marketing attribute of the BP. For this i tried using below mentioned FM
1. CRM_MKTBP_ASSIGN_ATTRIBUT
2. CRM_MKTBP_CHANGE_BP
Now i am facing a strange issue here. My code is able to update BP half of the time and half of the time Not at all.
Doesn't return any error OR warning, but not working.
Is there any thing else which i can try Or any limitation on Marketing attribute, I simply have no idea how to resolve this.
Any help is deeply appreciated.

I tried your approach, but still not able to resolve it.
I am not getting any error in the return table. It shows success. But when i go to BP transaction and then to Marketing attribute tab, i don't see any Attribute Set assigned to BP.
When i go to Edit Mode and manually assign attribute set, It shows me the values passed by me, but even there also if i save BP, Attribute set is not getting saved.
I am thinking it might be a bug, did any body else has faced similar problem with Marketing attributes?
If yes, what is the Solution for this and did you raised any OSS?
FYI, We are working on CRM 7 Ehp1.
I am able to find One Error. When my program is calling FM CRM_MKTBP_ASSIGN_ATTRIBUT_TAB. It is raising an exception.
Exception is 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB'. In the FM at line 340 there is a statement:
INSERT ausp FROM TABLE lt_i_ausp.
This is the place where exception is raised.
I am looking for a Note for this, but if some body has any idea on this, Please share.

Urgent: How to Remove assignment of a marketing attribute for an BP

Hi Guys,
In my project we are maintaining two marketing attributes for all the business partners.
But there is a need now based on some condition we want to remove one of the assignment for the BP (I.e which ever BP matching the condition)..
I dont want to remove this manually using the transaction code..
Is there any function module to remove the assignment of the marketing attribute for the BP.
Would appreciate an early reply...Since it is very urgent...

HI Sundar you should follow the following steps.
1. Create a target group in the segment builder selecting all the business partners that meet your criteria.
2. Go to the Expert tools (transaction CRMD_MKT_TOOLS)
3. Select the Deletion of an Attribute for All BP Assignments to a Target Group option.
4. enter in the name of your target group, the attribute set and attribute you want to remove.
