Mass emailing for a business

I work for a very small publishing company. My boss has given me a list of nearly 3000 emails of people to send our monthly deadline notice to.
I've discovered that our email lets me send an email to only 65 or so addresses at a time. In the past I maybe sent out 300 emails, so it wasn't so bad. Obviously this creates a problem for me now. I don't really know if the problem lies in Mac Mail or our email host either (?).
Are there any free programs out there that will let me send one mass email from our current email address, and possibly manage the email addresses better (ie. delete ones that are no good, let people "unsubscribe")?
This would make my life a lot easier.

I will say this:
Please use BCC in your e-mail composition no matter what program you use. Mass e-mailings which reveal everyone's e-mail address to everyone on the list are insecure, and subject to any one person's virus on any one machine picking it up and distributing it to a spammer thus adding everyone on the list to a spammer. You wouldn't want everyone subscribing to your service to suddenly have a doubling of spam overnight from other entities. They'd close their accounts, and they'd blame you.
Secondly, most e-mail hosts limit the number of e-mails you can send to avoid being accused of allowing spam. A much more proactive way it deal with the situation is to have people only subscribe to it if they want to be on.
Free programs you might find on http://www.sourceforge.net/ where a lot of open source programs are available.

I don't know a standard transaction for settlement rules mass maintenance but you can use LSMW based on a batch-input recording for the changes you want to make.

How to - Varibale Data in a PDF for mass email?

I have a question for the Adobe InDesign community...
Is there an easy way to add variable data to an InDesign PDF document for mass emailing?
I am sending out a newsletter to over 500 emails and I'd like to add the client name to the PDF document and have it send to the appropriate email without having to do each one individually. We have Design Merge, however the only way to save out the variable data for the newsletter is to save them as post-scripts and then convert each file into a PDF. However...once all 500 records are made, is there a way to have the appropriate variable documents go to the right emails?
I'm thinking I either need to do each email one at a time (which is time consuming)...or just redesign the newsletter as an html email and use something like Mail Chimp to have it include client names in the email as "IFNames."
Anyone have any suggestions?

With the Mail Merge function within InDesign, you can take your (let's say four-page) newsletter and add 500 client names and email addresses, but it would result in a 2,000-page InDesign document (with 500 consecutive copies of your newsletter, each with a different name and email address, or what ever other data you need). That document can easily be exported to PDF, and the PDF can easily be broken into 500 four-page PDFs with Acrobat. If the page counts are an issue, you could break your data file into smaller chunks, and do several merges.

Here's where I don't understand you. Are you looking to make one email with 500 recipients, and have the appropriate PDF be attached automatically, without you having to choose the appropriate PDF with the cooresponding email? If so, that sounds like an email issue, more than an InDesign one. It may be (and probably is) something that can be automated, but I don't think InDesign is the step that is getting in your way.

I don't know anything about Design Merge, but Data Merge doesn't require this step. You can export to PDF directly from the InDesign document that is created by the Data Merge process.

The iPad will support multiple Gmail accounts, but of course you have to set each one up individually. Did you set up both accounts? Go into Settings/ Mail, Contacts, Calendars to confirm both accounts exist. If they do, also familiarize yourself on how to navigate between accounts to make sure you can view your Inbox. You may also want to check your settings to make sure that you have the default account set up as you expect for Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Notes (if you're using all those features). That is important only when initiating something new, you have to have a default account to do such a thing so make sure the default is your account since it is your iPad (assuming that's what you want).
Alternatively, install the free Gmail app and then use only his (or your) account with that app and use the standard iOS Mail app for the other account.

What is the best program language for mass email (PHP, ASP, Coldfusion)?

that CF itself doesn't send the mail so you're dependent upon
the speed

Mass email program for iMac?

On my old PC I used Groupmail to send out mass e-mails. Since I've recently switched to an iMac, I want to find a similar mass email program that I can use on my iMac. (There is no Groupmail for Mac.) Any suggestions?

Is it legal to use .icloud email address for your business?

Just curious about something..
We have just a small organization and want to utilize the .icloud email addresses and icloud as well..
Are there any legal stipulations for businesses to use Apple's .icloud email addresses?

The organization is basically a daycare/kindergarten with a staff of about 5. We don't really have a need for a business online image persay, well not like a fortune 500 company or others would need..
I basically had entertained the idea for shareable calendars on icloud would be a huge asset and since we are migrating to more apple products such as ipads and Macs in the classroom, it would be nice to streamline things with icloud..
So it's not so important to 'show' our email address as it is than to just be able to utilize them. However our day to day clients would use the new icloud email addresses, hence why I was asking if it was legal.
But regardless, your points are right and I can see alot of folks argue against such free email vs an isp hosted email accounts..

Your site is a CCM site which is on a WebBasics plan (This plan does not provide hosted emails on Business Catalyst).
If you want to create email addresses on this site, you would need to setup your email server elsewhere and configure the MX records on your site to point to that external mail server.
If you want to use Business Catalyst's hosted email services you would need to use a WebBasics+ or higher siteplan. To upgrade your CCM free site, Access your site's admin area -> Site Management -> Upgrade Now -> choose the desired site plan and billing frequency -> Add personal and credit card details -> Submit.

Mass emailing of customer statements and invoices

Hi Experts
Is there a method within SAP B1 or using an add-on whereby we can send all of our invoices for a single days business by email without needing to send each one individually? Ideally we would like to be able to do the same thing with out statements also in each case using the E_Mail field from the BP Master Data Form (field OCRD,E_Mail) as the recipient address for the email.
At the moment we are able to email individually using B1 Outlook Integration, but this can be time consuming when dealing with 250+ invoices per day.
Likewise monthly statements can be as many as 3000 and it would be great if we could mass email them using SAP B1 or appropriate add-on. Would save huge amount of time on printing, folding, stamping etc, not to mention the price of postage. Even if we needed to purchase a 3rd party add-on it would likely pay for itself within a few months seeing as 99% of our BPs now use email addresses.

All output is printed to the formscape server and the output is is tested to see if each document needs emailing, faxing (zetafax) or printing. Formscape then outputs all documents the our document management system (Invu).
Works great for us.

Vendor email for PO and payment advice

Hi Gurus,
Can anybody please throw some light on this scenario? We want to get started with emailing the PO's to vendor functionality. The settings are all done and everything is looking good to be implemented. But we have a situation, where the accounting department (as of today) is sending emails about the payment to the vendor (PI vendor). Now if we look at the following cases
case 1: VN is 3XXXX and PI 4XXXXXX linked on the vendor master of 3XXXXX. If we want to send the PO via email to VN, we just need to maintain the email address on the 3XXXXX vendor master and when the payment is processed (F110), the email about the payment will use the email address from the 4XXX vendor master. This case is working fine without any problem.
Case 2: VN is 3XXXX and PI is also 3XXXXX. (The exact same number) Then how will we deal with this case? because now the challenge is to maintain two email addresses on the vendor master (one for purchasing and one for accounintg). But on the vendor master, only one email address can be selected using a radio button to be used as default. Now how can we ensure that the PO gets sent to the proper email address of the vendor and when the payment gets processed how can we ensure that it will only send the email to the concerned email address and not the other.
we have the custom program that kicks in after the F110 is processed to pick up the email addresses of the PI partner role vendor to intimate them about the payment. Now is there any other place in the vendor master where the email address can be maintained rather than in the general data view of the vendor master to get around this problem. I would really appreciate all possible ideas and suggestions please

Sending email for payment advice is standard enhancement available using BTE2040
Ravi has detailed the steps to use this BTE
It will be triggered automatically when you run payment run in F110 and pickup the email address from vendor master data.
You would just need to copy the standard sample function module to your own zmodule

Campaign execution not send emails for contact persons

Hi All!
I'm facing a problem with Campaigns (communication medium - E-mail): Those are the steps i'm following:
1.Start the campaign, and on the "campaign: Schedule job" screen, i choose "immediately". If i look at the campaign details after scheduled the job, the status is now "job started".
2. To check wich mails were sent, I also had a look at the business partner account that belongs to the target group used. On the "Interaction History" block, there is a line: "Outgoing Email" - on the details of this outgoing email I can see the "To" (Receivers). And here, I have emails from the business Partner contact persons and from the business partner itself (the email that is on the header level of the business partner account, on the "main address and communication data" area). So far so good. That's exactly what i need but,
3. If i go to the tcode, i only have a send request for the business partner itself and none for his contact persons (although those emails are on the "To" line for the interaction history).
I'm working on the Webclient UI, of the CRM 7.0
Does someone knows why the emails are not being sent also for the contact persons?

Basically, your Extended notif part is working fine..... emails reaching SOST is proof. Going out of SAP may need basis config.
What do you see, a yellow triangle or a red light in SOST?

Yes, you can have two separate Apple IDs, and it's pretty easy to set this up. Go into Settings > iTunes & App Store on your business phone. You should see your current Apple ID. Tap on it, then tap on sign out. You can then create a new Apple ID, using a different email address and password than those associated with the Apple ID on your other phone. Log back in using this new information, and you shouldn't get the texts that come to your other phone.
