Match the given word with dictionary

Hi all
I have an issue .
I need to check the given word from the user input is a dictionary word or not.
if it is a dictionary word then i am doing some functionality.
how can i do that?
thanx in advance

Load a dictionary of words into a Map of some sort. Use the user's word as the key into the map - if the map returns null, then it can be assumed to not be a real word. You will probably want to provide some mechanism so that the user can populate the map with proper names and other stuff that's not in the dictionary.
To obtain a (raw text) dictionary with which to populate the Map you could look at the files in the /usr/share/dict folder on most Linux systems. If you don't have one to hand you can probably obtain and download one with a bit of Googling.

• How to match the nth word in a string?

Hi, when I have a string like
"AA BBBB CCC DDDDDD EEE FF"
all words are of the form \w+
and I'd like to match the nth word, for example the third would be "CCC",
how can I establish this with just one regular expression?
Some annotations:
This is done with Java 1.4, but tools like the string tokenizer are not
possible (restrictions of the application) We're limited to one regular expression!
In Perl, one would do it this way:
This would be the regular expression:
"[\w+\s+\w+\s+](w+)"
and with the help of $1, you might match the first paranthesis.
As I said before, this is no solution here, because we're limited to one
regular expression
Another idea for Java Regex would be to define a positive lookahead, like (?<=\w+\s+\w+\s+), but as the width of it is variable, it is not allowed!
Thanks for your help,
Heiko Kubidsky

well, i did another test class
import java.util.regex.*;
public class NthMatch {
public static void main(String[] args) {
Pattern p = Pattern.compile(
"(?:\\w+\\s+){" + args[1] + "}(\\w+)(?:\\s.*)?");
Matcher m = p.matcher(args[0]);
if (m.matches())
System.out.println(m.group(1));
else
System.out.println("no match");
}run: java NthMatch "aa bb cc dd" 2
does that help?
what kind of framework you have to squeese the regex in?
what do you want to do with that regex?
do you want to check if Nth word maches something, or do you want to retriev that Nth string? or are you trying to do anything else?
your explanation is unfortunatelly not sufficient :(

• KeywordQuery is matching the whole word

hi
i am using Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.Search. The search works fine except the thing that is matching the whole word.
For example if i search for the word gips i get hits back, but if i search only gip i don't get any results back. Is there a way to avoid this behavior?
KeywordQuery kq = new KeywordQuery(kq.QueryText = text + " AND path:\"" + path + "\"";
kq.TrimDuplicates = false;
SearchExecutor searchExecutor = new SearchExecutor(context);
ClientResult<ResultTableCollection> results = searchExecutor.ExecuteQuery(kq);
context.ExecuteQuery();

Try appending the wildcard character "*" (without the quotes) to the query.

I trust that answers your question...

If you are having the same issue on several computers then it is a hardware issue! Not a software issue! Replacement is the only resolution!

• Using the regex to match the file name with date time

Hello all,
currently I had problem to match the following file name with the date time. Of course I can use this regex like ""(\\\\w+|.+).(zip)" to match it. However in the current application i need to parse the file name and get the current date time to check if it is matched. Does anyone have good idea?
{code}
testfile10-08-09-2008-08-21-04-24-0443.zip
testfile11-08-09-2008-08-22-04-24-0441.zip
{code}
thanks in advanced!

- with "\\\\w" you probably meant "\\w";
- "\\w+|.+" doesn't make sense: you can simply do ".+" in that case;
- ".(zip)" will also match the string "%zip" or "Ezip".
However in the current application i need to parse the file name and get the current date time to check if it is matched. I don't know what you mean by that.

• HT201441 If the previous end-user passed away suddenly and did not leave the password word with anyone, how then can the device be wiped?

My company issues iPads to certain staff for their line of work. If the previous end-user passed away suddenly and did not leave their iCloud password word with anyone, how then can the device be wiped. Currently we cannot turn off the iCloud, change the user, update the iOS, nor update our apps. Can the local Apple Store assist in some way?

I think Winston hit the nail. I imagine the issue is you allowed the person to set up personal and private accounts on the device, not corporate controlled accounts. As such, regardless of your ownership of the device, Apple will not release or change personal or private account-related information to you.
Whether they would or not to a direct family member, I do not know, but I highly doubt they will (or legally can) do so to you as the employer for a personal account.
I know such instances have come up in the past with things like company phones and such, both involving Apple as well as other companies. The reported results in news articles were always that private information is private, and if companies want access or control, then they need to restrict employees use to only corporate provided accounts and services.

It is not possible to get 2 consoles working on one network simultaneously. You can get them working one at a time only. The router is capable of making one internet connection, carrying a single WAN IP. This will be then used when you connect to the Xbox server. You will need a couple of WAN IPs to make your consoles connect at the same time.
To resolve NAT issues on your Xbox, you must first configure your console with a Manual or Static IP. If you're using a gateway, there may be a need to unbridge the modem. From there, log- in to Linksys Smart Wifi and click Security under Router Settings. Go to Apps & Gaming and configure your rules under Single Port Forwarding.

• HT2488 Is there a way to highlight a lot of folders at the same time to replace underscore between the title words with a space? If it's possible can someone please explain in easy to follow steps for somebody not good with the mac .. Thanks

Is there a way to replace, on a list of folders at the same time, underscore between title words on a folder with a space? If someone has the know how could they please explain in real simple to follow way for somebody not good with Mac .... Thanks

You need a "bulk renamer" to do this.
I personally use ABetterFinderRename, but there are cheaper and some that are free. ABFR has a free trial.
Renamer4Mac is cheap. Check the App Store too.

• How to match the BI Inventory Management reports with MB5B?

Hi All,
In BI we have two reports which shows the Quantity, Value and count of the valuated GI and GR movements happened in the inventory at a material-plant level for a given day. Both the reports are built on the cube 0IC_C03(Material Stocks/Movements ). We need to display only those movements which has a value associated with that. Ideally it should match with the R3 report MB5B for stock type "Valuated Stock".
For example,
For movement type 311(storage location to storage location) there are no accounting documents associated with that. Still in the data source it has field u201CStock categoryu201D(BSTTYP) as blank, which indicates that it is a valuated stock. And hence that record is displayed in the BI report. But In MB5B there are no entries for that movement type as there is no value associated with that.
Similarly for movement type 101 (Goods receipt) the stock category, BSTTYP in the data source indicates that it is valuated stock, where as MB5B eliminates those which has no value associated with that.
This is causing a mismatch between the R/3 MB5B and the BI Reports. Is there any method to match the BI reports with the MB5B report in R3?
Thanks in advance,
Alpho

Hello,
Please cross check with MM consultant and take the logic of MB5B and implement same in BW Query Level can help you to match the values.
Thanks.

• Autosuggest - beyond the 1st word match

I've searched for this and come to the conclusion that the answer is either so obvious that it's staring me right in the face, or else it's just something that the built-in autosuggest widget won't handle.
I have a simple <cfinput> field that looks up a user account based on text input. The query it calls searches for a user's first name, last name, or email address based on the input. Using the AJAX debugging screen, I can see that the appropriate results are, in fact, being fetched by the query.
The problem is, quoting from the livedocs for <cfinput>:
"You do not have to limit the returned data to values that match the cfautosuggestvalue contents, because the client-side code displays only the values that match the user input. In fact, the called function or page does not even have to use the value of the cfautosuggestvalue
parameter that you pass to it. You should, however, use the parameter if the returned data would otherwise be long."
It's deciding that 'matching the user input' means 'matching the first word of the query results.' In other words, if I have two users, one named Joe Smith and one named Smith Joe, and I search for Smith, it will display Smith Joe but not Joe Smith, because it doesn't 'match.'
Is there some way I can say that, if it matches ANY of the words in the query results, rather than just the first one, to include it in the list of autosuggestions?
Thanks,
Aq

System.out.println(" "+d.getTime()+" "+d1.getTime());you can use like this. d1 contains the user date
as u mentioned
startTime = new Date( "04/28/2006 12:37");
EndTime = new Date( "04/28/2006 18:37");
if curTime = new Date();
then you can compare like
if(curTime.after(startTime) && curTime.before(EndTime)
hope it will work

• HT5625 Here's my story: I "signed out" of my account on my IPAD. Then I DID NOT hit "create a new ID" - I simply filled in the top information with new email and password (the ipads new owner) - this got all set up but now when it wants to update anything

I gave my second IPAD to a friend.
I also recently changed the email associated with my own account
because I will be moving and will be unable to use that address much longer...
now I am not yet sure I can update my own apps (will it ask for old email and password?)
on the given IPAD - with the new Apple ID and password it is asking for
my present but soon to be disabled email with password - but it does not
recognize the password (i dont think it will recognize it when i upgrade as well!)
QUESTION
How do I straighten this mess out to be able to update all future apps on two
iphones and two ipads each having one different their separate Apple IDs?
and how can I get it to recognize the password that was at one time associated
with that email address
WSD

Apps are forever tied to the Apple ID under which they were purchased. If your friend wants to be able to manage apps on their device using their own Apple ID, they will need to delete all the apps purchased using your Apple ID and buy their own.
Hopefully, you just updated your own Apple ID with the new email and didn't make the mistake of creating a new Apple ID. If you created a new ID, stop using it now, don't buy anything using it and go back and update the ID under which you purchased your apps.
