Material Batch Characeristics
Hi,
In T-code MMBE we can see characteristics of material with batch number, description etc.....
I want to print all those fields with quantity of each material.Pls advise how to get it?
Is it possible to generate Zreport ?I've searched in CABN,CAWN,AUSP .....tables to find material characteristics but the link and the details are not correct as per my requirement.I tried with some FM too.I didn't get anything.
Is there any standard report or BAPI to see all these fields with quantity?
Pls help me in providing tables which contains material characteristics based on Material Batch as it shows in MMBE.
I've tried the below BAPI's but I didn't find my result.
CLAF_CLASSIFICATION_OF_OBJECTS
BAPI_MATERIAL_GET_DETAIL
BAPI_OBJCL_GETDETAIL
Please post some examples.
thanks & regards

Opening Stock Comapny - Plant - Material - Batch - Storage location Wise
Dear Friends,
I want to do the following report. I will explain the details to you. Pleaes suggest on how to go about it.
1. Since you know that SAP stores stock in a summary form (Plant / Material wise). Our management wants the report on the following hierarchy. (Company - Plant - Material - Batch - Storage). Our management has suggested the following:
a. Create a ZTABLE with the above columns including Quantity (which will contain closing stock quantity).
b. In this calculate and store Closing stock for each month.
c. an insert / update program has to be created for uploading data in the ZTABLE (selection will contain date).
for ex:
When running the program for 31st March 2008. system will take the closing stock stored in the ZTABLE for previous months + March Receipt - March issues. the result will be the closing stock for March 2008.
d. Then a report will be prepared using the ZTABLE and other calculated fields.
Can anyone give me the guideline as to how to go about it. Tables to be used and logic to be followed? Or if any other way the result can be achieved then nothing like it.
The Managements final goal is to have any given date closing stock in the above hierarchy (minimizing the Performance issue... that is why the suggestion of ZTABLE)...
Awaiting for your expert opinions.....

Material batch number in ORDERS05
Hi Friends,
I'm receiving a EDI 180(Returns) from the customer and I have to create a Sales order with type credit memo. In this process customer is sending material batch number in EDI NTE segment. I want to map this to field in to ORDERS05. Pls. some body tell me which IDOC segment/field I can map.
Thanks in advance.
Arjunsorry to say that, but you should learn about the application, you cannot make the field empty, it is SAP design that the valuation type goes to the batch field in case of split valuation active wihtout having batch managment active.
your wish is not possible with enhancements, and if , you would create inconsistencies and bigger problems in subsecuent processes. -
Find purchase order of a material batch added in a delivery for a report re
Hi,
I create purchase orders in ME21N and do the inbound delivery in VL31N referring the purchase order. Sales order entry is done in VA01 and once goods is in-house allocation is done in J3AB. Outbound delivery is created in VL01N.
For a report requirement I need to find the purchase order of the outbound delivery material batches.
We donu2019t maintain the purchase order number any ware in the material batch. Please advice me on how to find the purchase order of a material batch added in a delivery.
Thanks,
Samuse Mb51, enter material number and batch number and movement type 101, then execute.
You get the receipt, go into the detail and you will see the PO number
Technically spoken, material movements are stored in MKPF and MSEG table

HOW to AGGREGATE TRANSFER ORDERs per same material/batch?
Hello All,
My company runs ordering system via web. Customers usually post web orders numerous times during sales campaigns, which result uncountable no. line items on sales and delivery documents (same ship to) even if the material/batch is the same.
1. Could somebody help me to find a way, if there is at all, how I can create Transfer Orders per the same material/batch <b>NOT</b> per delivery line items?
I have tried to do a test scenario via <b>2-step picking</b>. Crated a valid Group but the next error came by running <b>LT0E</b> <i>"Selected group 2703 for 2-step picking not relevant"</i>
I do not have any clue if the 2-step picking is good for solving the above issue.
I was not able to configure WM view up to now.
2. How should I do that for 2-step picking?
Many thanks for any help on this,

WM t-Code for Tracking Storage bins where a Material batch have stayed?
Hello Gurus,
My client ask if there is any t-code (report or whatever) in WM where he would be able to track all the storage bins in which a material batch have stayed?
It would be a kind of history data about storage bins where the batch have passed inside the warehouse....Any Clues?
Thanks!!!The only one that can serve your purpose is LT23.
Choose the "rainbow" icon and select by material and batch.
If you need help with selection screen feel free to ask... but it should be straight forward for SAP user.
Execute with all the right selections.
You will get a list of all the transfer orders which were used for that material/batch.
In the right part of TO details, you'll see storage bins, there are the ones that the material/batch have stayed in your warehouse... -
No price could be determined for material/batch DWFB1.1-07GL2/ plant DAAL
Hi Gurus,
While doing GR (MB31) of Finish product DWFB1.1-07GL2 in plant DAAL, we are getting this error.
No price could be determined for material/batch DWFB1.1-07GL2/ plant DAAL
Message no. CK465
Diagnosis
The system could not calculate a price for material/batch DWFB1.1-07GL2/ in plant DAAL for valuation view 0, because none of the valuation strategies in valuation variant 007 was successful.
We kept price control for finised good material master rececord is 'V'
I assigned valuation variant 007 to the plant DAAL.
Pls. suggest the solution.
Praveenhi,
Please check same valuation variannt has been configured in order costing variant or apprearing order control data.
Did you maintained MAP for that material in material master?

Material Batch in Production Order
Good afternoon,
We have the scenario where a Material batch is only allowed in ONE production order, for example:
Material 123, Batch A: Qty50
Material 123, Batch B: Qty50
I have a production Order that requires 75 of Material 123.
The production Order can only be a maximum of 50 and another for 25 has to be raised as only 1 material batch is allowed per Production Order.
Is this possible?Guy,
I think you are saying since your component material 123 has 2 batches of qty 50, you want to generate Finished product production order qty =50 automatically.
This is a typical requirement in Chemical/Pharma industry where production batch size is determined by available raw material qty.
This feature can be used in a concept called Material qty calculation used in the PP-PI model where you work reciepe & process orders. unfortunately this feature is not available in the PP module of SAP.
Alternatively your client may have to go for an ehancement pack " Industry solution - Pharma"
However if you are using PP-PI module the solution is as follows
With material qty calculation based on raw material qty (eg 50) issued to production order, FG production order qty can be reduces to 50 (based on formulae maintained in Mat-Qty section in Recipe).
Hope this helps resolve your question.
thanks,

How can mass create batch classification for many material batches? ?
Hi Experts,
In our system , there are so many material batches which have not been classified, see by
BMBC Tcode.
That means these batches has no values in the batch class. I know we can create
classification for these batches with MSC2N Tcode.
But there are so many batches which have not been classified, more then 2000.
It is not possible to create classification for every batch with with MSC2N once a time.
So how can I create batch classification for so many batches once a time?
How can I mass create batch classification for so many batches??
Thanks for any reply!Hi,
Please be aware that SAP does not support the use of batch
input in the classification system. SAP recommends you use BAPI's for
example in your case BAPI BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE and BAPI_OBJCL_CHANGE
would be able to help. For more information, please have a look at the
note: 943559 - Point 2 and 13. Point 13 references the note 1083986.
I hope this helps!.

Material batches from Production Supply Area St. Type
Hello Team,
1. User do LP12 for WM Staging [MvT 319]
2. He Goto LB11 and creates TO.
3. But when User creates TO for 319 MvT, system picks up batch from Production Supply Area.
It should NOT pick up material batches from Production Supply Area.
Please suggest at earliest..
Thanks
TusharHi,
Check customizing settings
check PK05, check if you have maintained the proper production supply area , WM storage loc. As I see it you are doing prod supply for release order parts. Also see cr02, basic data , see if you have assigned proper production supply area.
check storage type 100 is properly defined , movement type 319 are created and their assignment made in WM.
Also check if you have activated PP/WM interface.
If all the settinsg are done , there should be no problems.

Material Batches incorrectly blocked with inventory block
Hello,
Some of our material batches are blocked with an inventory block in table MCHB (MCHB-SPERC), although there are no open inventory documents for these batches.
We need to eliinate the inventory blocks to ba able to use the batches in stock.
Anyone had this problema before or can give me a tip to resolve this problema?
Thanks for any answer.
AartFind the material from table MCHB, Then go to MI20, enter the material and tick the option Phys. Inventory Document and Phys. Inventory Items.
Then press enter. You will see a pop-up. select tick option only for Not Yet Counted
Then again press enter. You will see again another pop-up. again choose only Not yet Counted
Then press enter and then press execute. You will find all PI documents which is still active. -
Process to split production order based on the raw material batches
Hi All, below is a business situation which needs some some SAP process to help overcoming this issue.
We are working on process industry, where the core fabric (SFG) are produced from different machines and which are used as raw material in the subsequent process (Coating). Business wants SAP to generate individual planned orders for Coating when it uses this materials
e.g
Current situation.
SFG1 is the component of SFG2
SFG2 is the component of FG.
When the demand for FG is 100, you get 2 planned orders SFG1- 100 yd and SFG2- 100 yds
During production, the Planned order for SFG1 is split for 2 production order each producing 50 yds each.
Now I have SFG1 - 50 yds ( Batch A001), and SFG1- 50 yds ( Batch A002).
Now Business wants SAP to automatically propose 2 order for SFG2, However based on MRP it will only show 1 planned order of 100 yds required for SFG2 since the demand of FG is 100.
We want to split the planned orders of the higher level to look at lower level stock.
Any ideas or thought process.
Regards
SarvanSarvan,
You can have MRP propose two lots of SFG2 based upon lot sizing. For instance, if you always will want SFG2 to have orders of 50 each, then one way to achieve this would be to set the 'maximum lot size' to 50. MRP1 Tab of the material master.
There are other lotsizing methodologies that may be better suited to your business requirements as well.
