Material Creation in CRM system

Hi everyone,
Iam working on an inbound interface between XI and CRM. I need to write a proxy for product creation or updation in the CRM system. My question here is:
Is there any standard proxy already available in the CRM system to cater to the above functionality. If so please let me know.
Thanks and Regards,
Bhargava.

Hi,
You can check availiability of this functionality in the  SAP delivered CRM content
Go to https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/instguides->mySAP Business Suite Solutions->mySAP CRM
If not, then you can search for any available RFC/Idocs etc.
Hope this helps,

  • Sales Document Creation in CRM System

    Dear all,
We are implementing CRM 5.0 and ECC 6.0 (IS-Retail) for our client. As per the Business Process Customer creation take's place in CRM, which uploads Customer Records into ECC system.
Material Master (Article), Pricing Procedure and Condition Types are being maintained in ECC system only.
Now the new requirement is to create Quotations in CRM system, in turn it has to upload into ECC system. We have to enable or maintain all article data, Pricing Data and Discounts in CRM system also.
I don't know how could we exchange the Article Master Records (Material), Pricing Procedures and condition types between ECC system.
I have expertise in CRM Marketing. by getting basic understanding of CRM and ECC data flow landscape, Middleware Settings and Object downloads, I have confidence to map the requirement into SAP successfully.
I request you to educate me on this scenario, your help and suggestions will be highly appreciated.
    Thank you
    Raghu ram.

    Hi,
i'm not quite sure about ECC retail, but for sure, as per CRM 5.0 and ECC 6, depending on your scenario, you may not need whole complete set of pricing, nor the condition tables to be maintained in CRM.
you can use minimum pricing which is basic condition type PR00. once the quotation is saved in CRM, during the replication process, the pricing will be determined in the ERP and passed back to CRM. so when you look into CRM quotation document, you will be able to find all the condition types maintained in CRM.
however, this scenario is not suitable if you require customer to review the pricing before saving the quotation, let say internet sales / e-commerce. then in that case you'll probably need to have complete set of pricing in CRM.
    hope this helps.

  • Product creation in CRM system

    hi Guys,
I created Attributes, Set Types, Category and hierarchy. Later I when to Product maintenance and created a product under the new Category I created.
When I tried to save the product, it says 'saving is not possible'. The error message is "Data cannot be maintained for set type COMM_PR_SHTEXT"
I am not using COMM_PR_SHTEXT" set type at all.  I am using the set type I created on my own.
So I have not clue what how to save my product without this error.
Can someone share their expert opinion on this please......
    Thanks,
    John

    Hello there,
Kindly go through the link below:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/b9/f7044017355c0ce10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
The above link explains that a set type may be assigned to several categories in a hierarchy. However, a set type may be assigned only in one hierarchy per product type. For example, a set type cannot be assigned to two categories in different hierarchies if these categories have the same product type. However, this is possible if the product type is different This is done to ensure that a set type is not assigned more than once to a product.
I suppose in your case the set type COMM_PR_SHTEXT has been assigned to the some category under the hierarchy by the same name. If it is the case you can not use this set type anywhere else. This is the way the product is designed.
    Thank you
    Kind Regards,
    Krishna

  • IDoc Issues when creating a Sales Order in CRM System

    Hi All,
We have a BSP application in place which allows the customers to create orders online. This BSP application is linked to R/3. The R/3 BSP application remotely calls a custom code in the CRM system which creates an IDOC for the CRM Order and the IDOC is processed and a CRM Order gets created. In the BSP page we have given a provision to the client to enter a Requested Delivery Date which is mapped to the delivery date in CRM system.
Now comes the problem. When the customer creates an order, he enters the requested delivery date but the order which is getting created is not being populated with the date entered in the screen but with the current date.
But when I try and reprocess the IDOC through WE19 without changing any IDOC data records the order gets created with the date which was entered in the webpage.
Any pointers regarding what is happening?
    Regards,
    Karthik

    Hi Karthik,
Just check on the field date, this request delivery date in CRM.
Does it come from date profile? If it does, then try to remove the
date rule or any default value for this date.
Alternatively, I am afraid you have to separately save the date
after first IDOC document creation is done. Seems that the default
value taken place (and replaced) after the document has created.
    Hope this helps.

  • Material creation process in SRM-MDM

    Dear All,
I am new to SRM. Please correct me about material creation procedure in SRM if I am wrong:
Normally in classic/extended classic scenario, material first created in MM and then it replicated to SRM. Base on configuration setting for number range, system either create the product ID same as material number number in SRM when it replicated into SRM. In final steps, the product information will upload into MDM either XI integration or manually via excel upload.
    My question:
+ Is it possible to automatic create product without XI via T.Code - MDMGX in MDM.
+ If the replicated product ID of SRM is different then MM material number, which number we should consider for creating product
       MDM.
    Thanks in advance.
    BR
    Jennifer

    Hi Jennifer,
Answer1) You can only replicate Product Groups, Currencies and Unit of Measures through t-code MDMGX. XI/PI is required for Contract and Product Catalogs.
Answer 2) If the replicated product ID of SRM is different then MM material number, you should enter MM material number and in External Web Service Configuration for that internal catalog, uncheck  "Do not check Product" indicator so that SRM will not check the Product ID and when item goes to backend system, it will have correct MM material number.

  • Steps to connect a CRM system with MDM

    Hi everybody,
I've got a problem here : I should build a connection between a CRM system and MDM (get the data in several tables in the CRM system, normalize them in MDM and then put them back in the CRM).
What would the steps I've got to do to achieve that ? Do I need XI between the two systems ? Do I have to map the tables before sending them in MDM (and how could I do that ?)
Thank you for all the help you can give me
    Seb

    Hi
The Universal Worklist (UWL) iView is part of the KMC (Knowledge Management and Collaboration), capability of SAP NetWeaver. The integration of the SAP NetWeaver MDM workflow with UWL will be provided with SP04. This will provide the ability to expose SAP NetWeaver MDM workflow steps in the SAP Universal Work List (UWL). These jobs may run from the BPM process or can be launched inform within SAP NetWeaver MDM. UWL is defined as the main consolidated ”Inbox“ for SAP users, being the main location to monitor jobs directly activated in SAP NetWeaver MDM, or connected to a process that integrates with SAP NetWeaver MDM.
Using the SAP NetWeaver Portal UI, show a summarized list of all workflow (WF) jobs/tasks from all systems of SAP NetWeaver MDM Landscape per user - one single UI for all my tasks. The UWL is already integrated with other major SAP products, like R/3, SAP CRM, mySAP ERP, etc.

First of all, you must set a RFC connectivity between CRM and backend system:
o     Create system users for remote connection (RFC_CONN). This user must have SAP_ALL authorization.
o     Create RFC connections in CRM system.
Go to transaction SM59 on CRM side and click on 'create' button. Set RFC destination name to the back-end system <sid>CLNT<client> (eg. R3DCLNT200), connection type to 3 (abap / R/3 connection) and fill the target host to your back-end system. On the Logon/Security tab, add the RFC_CONN user created in the previous step. Save your settings.
o     Create RFC connections in the back-end system.
Go to transaction SM59 on the back end and click on 'create' button. Set the RFC destination name to CRM system <sid>CLNT<client> (eg. CR1CLNT300), connection type to 3 (abap / R/3 connection) and fill in the target host to your back-end system. On the Logon/Security tab, add the RFC_CONN user created in the previous step. Save your settings.
o     Create a logical system name in CRM.
Go to transaction SPRO -> SAP Implementation Guide -> Customer Relationship Management -> CRMServer -> Technical Basic Settings -> ALE Settings -> Distribution -> Basic Settings -> Logical Systems -> Define Logical System Add a new value:
    Save your settngs.
o     Create a logical system name in the back end.
Go to transaction SPRO -> SAP Customizing Implementation Guide -> SAP Web Application Server -> Application Ling Enabling -> Sending and Receiving Systems -> Logical Systems -> Define Logical System Add a new value:
    Save your settngs.
    2.
    3.     Middleware parameters setup Go to transaction SM30 on backend system and choose table CRMCONSUM. Add the following values:
    4.     Next, choose CRMSUBTAB for subscription table for the Up and Download Object and add the following values
User     ObjectName     U/D     Obj. Class     Function     Obj. Type     Funct. Name
CRM     empty     Download     Material     empty     empty     CRS_MATERIAL_EXTRACT
CRM     empty     Download     Material     empty     empty     CRS_CUSTOMIZING_EXTRACT
CRM     empty     Download     Material     empty     empty     CRS_SERVICE_EXTRACT
Next, choose CRMRFCPAR for definitions of RFC Connections and add the following values
User     ObjectName     Destination     Load Type     INFO     InQueue Flag     Send XML
    CRM     *     SR1CLNT300     Initial Download     SR1CLNT300     X     Send XML
    CRM     *     SR1CLNT300     Request     SR1CLNT300     X     Send XML
CRM     MATERIAL     SR1CLNT300     Initial Download     SR1CLNT300     X     Send XML
    Leave all other field empty.
Now, configure filtering for the material master:
Choose the CRMPAROLTP table for CRM OLTP Parameters and add the following values:
Parameter name     Param. Name 2     Param. Name 3     User     Param. Value     Param. Value 2
CRM_FILTERING_ACTIVE     MATERIAL     empty     CRM     X     empty
Now we must edit the table for the application indicator. Go to transaction SE16N on the back-end side and choose table TBE11. Search or add an application component BC-MID and edit activity settings (field AKTIV = X).
    Save your settings.
    8.     Enterprise buyer with/without CRM In this activity, you define whether you are running the Enterprise Buyer and CRM in the same system. This might accelerate the Master Data download performance. If you are using CRM in the client, then skip this activity.
In the CRM system run transaction BBP_PRODUCT_SETTINGS, deselect 'Test mode' and choose the Execute button.
The system generates a report containing all tables that have been deactivated.
    9.     Generate repository objects With this procedure, you generate the middleware function modules (BDoc Object Type) for the material master.
Go to transaction SMOGGEN and choose object PRODUCT_MAT and PRODUCT_SRV. Generate services for all object categories.

  • Open MM03 with a material number from CRM UI

I can launch MM03 from CRM UI. Please guide me how to open MM03 with a particular material (skiping first screen if possible) from the CRM_UI screen.

    Hey,
Maybe this blogpost can help you.
    [http://sapcrmweblog.blogspot.com/2011/01/extending-business-object-repository.html|http://sapcrmweblog.blogspot.com/2011/01/extending-business-object-repository.html]
Check the example method ZEXECUTE_WITH_PARAM. This allows you to move a parameter from the CRM system to the PID of a field in the transaction you called.
Furthermore, you will need to move the material number you want to use to the GDC (or if you can use GDC object CURRENTPRODUCT-PRODUCTID, I don't know where it is occupied, that would also be fine), and use that in the transaction launcher definition.
If the CURRENTPRODUCT is not bound when you call the transaction, I think the best way to go would be to add a paramater in IMG --> Customer Relationship Management --> UI Framework --> Technical Role Definition --> Define Global Data Context Parameters called ZPRODUCT type Product.
This GDC object can be occupied by implementing the following code somewhere in the code when you have the material you want to pass available in the BOL.
DATA: __gdc    TYPE REF TO if_crm_ui_data_context.
    __gdc ?= cl_crm_ui_data_context_srv=>get_instance( me ).
    __gdc->set_entity( name = 'ZPRODUCT' value = <your bol-product> ).
    Hope this helps.

  • EDI FOR MATERIAL CREATION AND CHANGE

    Hello all,
I have a requirement that when a material is created it whole detial about that material is saved at a given location as idoc.
    ie EDI configration.
How know to configure EDI process order. How can we do for material creation.

Since we are not using any message control, we don't need to setup the process code in WE41.
The function module has already been assigned to the message type in WE57.
    Step1: Create a logical system - BD54.
    Step2: Create a distribution model - BD64.
Create a model view and add the Sender (SAP ECC)  and Receiver (Logical System you created).
Then add the message type MATMAS.
    Step3: Create a RFC Destination - SM59
Step4: Create a port and assign it to the RFC Destination created above. - WE21.
    Step5: Create Partner profiles - WE20
                       Partner type - LS
                      Message type - MATMAS
                      Basic type - MATMAS05
Step6: Trigger the material material through BD10.
    Hope it helps.

  • Exception in CRM system after creating post goods issue in ECC

    Hi Folks,
We are facing an issue in CRM system. I will tell the scenario in details so that it would be helpful to understand,
We are creating sales order in CRM system and it got replicated to ECC correctly. We have maintained action definition to trigger email to the customer.
Then we will be creating delivery and then post goods issue(PGI) for items replicated to ECC systems. After PGI system will update the status in CRM sales order and here configured an action definition to trigger an email to customer.
We have created custom badi implementations for action definition execute badi to send email. Emails are triggering correctly but after PGI creation while replicating the changes from ECC to CRM we are getting an exception in standard code because PPFTTRIGG table does not have entry. We have failed entry in CRM inbound queue and then did some debug and come to know the place of issue. Help me out with some inputs here.
    Best Regards,
    Dharmakasi.

    Hi,
I have identified one thing here, if the action definition does not have start condition system is not updating that entry in PPFTTRIGG table. Here i got 2 questions my mind
    1. Why system is not updating the table with all the action definitions available in action profile
    2. Why system is looking for the entry which was not updated in PPFTTRIGG table?
I do not understand problem with updating table or with action profile itself. Please give some input here. If we deactivate all the definitions which does not have start condition then there is no error.
    Best Regards,
    Dharmakasi.

  • One ECC Connected to multiple CRM systems

    Hello,
We have a scenario where we have single R/3 system (ECC) connected to multiple CRM systems. I would be obliged if someone can send me some documentation on tht.
Also if we are creating an order in ECC, two queues are generated which I think is wrong. Can someone give me some advice on this.
    Thanks & Regards
    Priyanka

    Hello Pratik,
I would define two different systems in ECC. In such a case, if say I create one material in R/3 (ECC) then should it generate two diffrent queues for flow to CRM.
Also if say the CRM Release etc for the two systems connected to one R/3 are not the same, then how do i take care of the entries in the ECC Config tables for replication i.e CRMFILTAB, CRMCONSUM, CRMPAROLTP etc.
And how does the ECC system identify what settings it has to take for what CRM system and what queues have to be generated? What are the queues to be registered in CRM and ECC in such a case.
Would be obliged if you can give me a more detailed advice.
    Rgds

  • Customer/Vendor creation in CRM (with replication to ERP)

    Hello SCN experts!
My task is creation BP for customers and vendors in SAP CRM system. After I should replicate them to ERP (ECC) and automaticaly create Customer and Vendor with all relevant data (like Company Data for Customers and  Company Data /Purchasing organization for Vendors).
I know 2 different ways for it:
    1) Customer Vendor Integration (CVI) Customer Vendor Integration (CVI) - SAP Documentation
    2) "Simple" what is described here Configuration for vendor master data exchange ECC <---> CRM
Can anybody help me choose correct way and maybe explain some more info? Or it is the same ways?
    Thanks
    Johny

    Hi Johny,
the documentation Customer Vendor Integration (CVI) is in my opinion the more complete one. It, for example, also contains instructions on how to perform the basic configuration of the SAP CRM Middleware. Configuring the SAP CRM Middleware is prerequisite in order to being able to configure the Customer Vendor Integration.
The second document you mention assumes that the SAP CRM Middleware is already configured correctly and just provides the necessary steps to configure the Customer Vendor Integration "on top".
The two documents IMHO don't describe different scenarios but instead provide similar information from different points of view.

  • B2B Webshop - Login not recorded in CRM system

    Hi,
We are using CRM E Commerce with ERP Sales Order.  This is the latest offering from SAP and has come only from CRM 7.0 onwards. In this solution u201CERP sales orderu201D is embedded into the CRM Web Channel Web shops for order creation.
When use our ERP logon to get in to the B2B webshop.  The problem we have right now is the login only goes to ERP backend while not in CRM.  We check the ERP last logon date & time in SE16->USR02 table and it's correct while for CRM USR02 table is it not updated.  I just want to know if this is standard that only ERP login is updated knowing that B2B webshop is connecting both in ERP & CRM.
Hoping for someone advise.  Thanks in advance!

    Hi Joe,
In CRM 7.0 with ERP Back end LORD scenario, the logon user is an ECC user always. You will find the relationship between the logon id (T ID) as a contact person and the sold-to party in ECC table - USAPPLREF.
You use CRM system only to maintain your PRODUCT CATALOG, Target Group etc. and make use of them in your SHOPADMIN settings. In this scenario, even you use TRANSACTION TYPE - Z001 directly (without creating it in CRM) in shopadmin.
All these is been controlled through XCM settings where your XCM application is erpcrmstandard and you configure your appplication on erpcrmstandard where your PRIMARY JCO is ECC JCO user.
In this scenario in CRM the user data will not be updated.
    Hope this will help

  • Key performance indicators (KPI) for material creation

    Dear all,
I need to define some Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to measure the data quality during the material creation (MM01) process. The objective is to get concrete statistics about data quality/accuracy for fields related to material from all views created with MM01 (basic data, classification, unit of measure...).
I would like to get your expertise on how to measure these KPI’s : which transactions, table (...) to use ?
I have already few ideas :
    -Table CDHDR
    -Transaction MM04
-Create “checkpoints“ into the workflow for material creation (ZWF01)
Do you have any other idea in mind?
I am open for all advices: transaction, table, process, approach…
Thanks in advance for your help !

I have a few ideas, but the accuracy of the master data is based on your system config.
Some things that are helpful in most of the cases:
    - If material type is HAWA (trading goods) your procurement indicator should always be External procurement (check those for other material types if you have it uniformed). You can also check purchasing group based on material type if you have it distinct by material type.
    - Check if sales views are opened in all org.levels
    - Check if storage loc.views are opened for all SLoc
All in all, you need to have a link of two or more data in material master to be able to check it in some way automatically, otherwise you won't be able to determine if the data is correct or not.
E.g. How would you every know if lot size of 120.000 PCS is OK or not for a specific material or if you need to assign a specific purchasing group to your material.
You know the logic behind your material master data best so you can create the best rules to check for your KPI.
    Regards.
