Material requirement planning for Consignment POs

Dear Experts ,
Is it possible to have the Consignment POs created through MRP ?
i am able to generate purchase requisition , which i would need to convert in to PO . But i want to avoid creating a PR & want a direct PO as i do it for bought out POs .
Pls suggest .
Regards
Anis

I don't think it is possible to directly create consignment PO from MRP. You should use auto PO functionality to convert Purchase Requisitions created through MRP into PO. You should set up batch job for ME59N to run immediately after MRP run so that I will convert all your consignment PR into PO.

  • Creation Indicator in PR: B Material Requirement planning

    Hi All,
I am facing an unusal scenario.
User is claming that PR is getting generated for a material after running the MRP, even there is enough stock.
I checked material &  I found that MRP type is ND, there is no entry in the planning file for this material.MRP list & stock requirement list of this material is showing nothing. So there is no way that PR will be created automatically via MRP run for this material.
When I checked one PR for this material, Plant & storage location, creation indicator is showing as B Material Requirement planning.
Could you please help me that why creation indicator is showing as B>
I further checked these PRs are created long back when MRP type was V1. Later they changed it to ND.
How to delete MRP generated PR manually when PO has been created for these PR.
    Regards
    Shilpi

As you said; the PR was created long ago by MRP, when it was not ND.
If it was already converted into a PO, there's no need to delete it, right? If not, just delete it manually.
In the future, when you change MRP type from a valid type to ND, always remember to do 2 additional things, as the system will not do them automatically:
    1- delete the MRP list
2- delete any planning elements if they exist, like planned orders and MRP generated PRs.

  • Datasource 2LIS_03_S194 (Material Requirement Planning)

    Hello SDN:
I need to extract data from the datasource 2LIS_03_S194 (Material Requirement Planning) relevant to me. I know this datasource is LIS and to fill it, I need to run a program RMCBMRP2 to fill set up tables, and this doesnot support Delta update.
I have one doubt, that for future MRP data Loads will I have to execute this Program every time and do full loads..? OR can I schedule a job to do.? If so, how to schedule a job.?
Please share your experiences with me.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Kalyana Pidugu

Hi Kalyana- I am also using this same datasource and not sure when to run the program RMCBMRP2 in ECC and what parameters (regarding period/dates) to provide in SE38 while running it. If you have found more info on this can you share with me please?

  • What is Material Requirement Planning

what is Material Requirement Planning since i am a beginner in Supply chain management

Material Requiremnts plan and master schedule (MRP) answers two quisitions:
    1. How mauch you need to supply (Make/Buy).
    2. How much resource Hours needed to produce.
MRP is an unconstrained, and infinite planning engine. this means, if you have a demand (Sales order/Forecast), the planning engine recommend actions to be done based on demand due date only regardless of capacity or material availability, and it gives you exception messages to take action; as a planner; regarding anything that may violate satisfying the demand in that due dates.

  • MD02 - Capacity Requirement Plan for External Procurement Material

Hi, I have the following requirements.
MRP Scheduling is getting executed material level (material no, plant) with scheduling type 2 which means lead time scheduling using MD02 Transaction Code. This is works fine for the Inhouse Product. In order to achieve lead time the functional team has maintained the necessary routing/workcenter configs.
The business needs the same functionality "Capacity requirements calculation" for the external procurement material. Business is willing to maintain routing/workcenter config.
Currently standard program (MD02) is not considering the Capacity planning for the external Procurement material.
Could you please suggest is it can be controlled through programming.
Kindly suggest the function modules for Capacity Planning - materialwise, plantwise.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks
    Giri

    Hi Giri
I think the requirement is not mentioned clearly. Capacity is required only if the material is assembled/produced in house.
Anyway try this. Set the Procurement type to X in the MRP views in material master. You might have to define your custom material type so that it does not force the procurement type to F. Try the feature called "Quota arrangement". The idea is to define the material in such a way that it can be procured externally or produced in house. With quota arrangement you can say what % has to be bought and what % to be produced in house. If it is produced in house then you can have capacity requirements.

  • Chaeck for material requirement planning run.........

    Hi,
I have maintained all settings regarding consumption based material planning for material.........
now I want to run MRP for automatic run with external requirement.........
I want to check whether the settings I made are correct or not...........
How should I go about it?
    Krutika

    Hi,
The correctness of your settings for MRP can be checked by running MRP and checking the messages you get.
Please check this link with screen shots of steps in simple MRP run to suit your scenario:

  • Material Requirement Planning

    Hi
What are the steps involved in MRP Run
    Regards
    Vaibhav

    Hi,
SAP help document reads as below:
    Process Flow
The system carries out the following processes in the planning run:
       1. The system checks the planning file. During this process, the system checks whether a material is to be planned due to a change relevant to MRP, and how to proceed if there are already existing procurement proposals (see
       2. Checking the Planning File). The system calculates net requirements for every material. For this calculation, the system checks whether the requirements are covered by the warehouse stock and dispatched receipts from Purchasing or Production. If the requirements cannot be covered, the system creates a procurement proposal (see
       3. Net Requirements Calculation). If a material has been assigned a range of coverage profile, the dynamic safety stock is also calculated during the planning run using the range of coverage profile. This ensures sufficient material availability even for unplanned additional requirements (see Calculating the Statistical Range of Coverage Using the Range of Coverage Profile). The system calculates procurement quantities. When doing this, the system takes into account the selected lot-sizing procedure and, if necessary, scrap and rounding values (see
       4. Calculating Procurement Quantities). The system carries out the scheduling in order to calculate the start and finish dates for the procurement proposals (see
       5. Scheduling). The system determines the type of procurement proposal. Dependent upon the defined setting, planned orders, purchase requisitions or delivery schedules are created by the system for a material (see
       6. Determining the Procurement Proposal). If you have maintained the necessary entries for quota arrangements, the system also determines the source of supply and allocates this to the procurement proposal (see Quota Arrangements). For every procurement proposal of an assembly, the system explodes the BOM and determines the dependent requirements (see
       7. BOM Explosion and Determining Dependent Requirements). During the planning run, the system recognizes critical situations that have to be assessed manually in the planning result by the work scheduler. The system creates exception messages and, if necessary, checks rescheduling (see
Creation of Exception Messages, Rescheduling Check). The system also calculates the actual range of coverage and the daysu2019 supply and receipt daysu2019 supply (see Daysu2018 Supply and Receipt Daysu2018 Supply, Actual Range of Coverage).
Hope the above answers your query, else revert.

  • Error in MIR7 - Different Material Vendor  planned for del. costs item in PO

    Dear All,
    We getting error during MIR7.
We add two freight condtion ZFRO and ZFRT in purchase order  as below :
ZFRO = we have add Rs. 350 against freight to Vendor(MATERIAL VENDOR)
ZFRT =  We have add Rs. 100 for local freight which is paid to FREIGHT VENDOR directly (cash payment) i.e. paid for Transporter's Godown to our factory.
Now during MIGO, store department has enter  as :
    1. ZFRT (Freight Vendor - FREIGHT VENDOR)
    2. ZFRO (Freight Vendor - MATERIAL VENDOR)
Now during MIR7 we are getting following error :
Different Material Vendor 300255 planned for del. costs item in PO 4500028018
(300255 is FREIGHT VENDOR which is at Number 1 in freight tab of MIGO)
    Thanks and Regards,
    Nirav

    For good and service,
In MIR7, select the option Goods/Service Item
First do only for Good/Service item...
After that, in MIR7 select only Planned Delivery cost and give the same PO number..
Then you will receive a pop-up message to choose vendor..
Here select one vendor and press continue..
    Then save you invoice..
And again do the same and just select the other vendor..
You can see 3 invoice number in PO history..
One for goods charges and another two for freight charges..

  • MRP-Material requirement planning

    SAP Gurus
My client has two plants. (Plant 1001 and 1706).
Both plants are having different company codes.
Plant 1001 creates a cross company Purchase order for plant 1706. Against this cross company PO plant 1706 will produce a semi finished material and gives to plant 1001.
Now when I run MRP for plant 1706, it will create a planned order for the semi finished material in plant 1706. Plant 1706 will process this planned order and deliver against the cross company PO.
My client wants to create PIR for plant 1706 on a monthly basis. When MRP runs for plant 1706, system should not create a planned order against the cross company PO, but it should only create planned orders against the PIR.
Now when I run MRP it is creating planned order for both cross company PO and PIR.
    I am using strategy 40
How should I configure this scenario?
    Thanks

    Hi
Your incoming,  inter company POs can be changed as sales orders while entering into the Plant 1706.
( By using the suitable Function Module) ( Plz  Discuss with your  ABAP guy.)
Once these are converted as sales Orders in Plant 1706,
they can consume the existing PIRs, & the system will not generate additional Planed Orders , its is due to the Strategy 40.
    Hope this may help.

  • Material Requirment planning

    Hi Experts,
We are SAP ECC 6.0 ( Apparel and Foot wear solutions ) , we run MRP on 3 months basis , our lead time for raw materials is 90 days , now when i run the MRP for the month of may , june , july  the requriemnts of july , august , september are getting generated we will be having different release dates in the purchase requsitions as per the requriement.
For example we have a Purchase requistion  for which the release date is 01/06/2010 , ( In this requistion the material is FFK and the grids are Black, WHite , Red) . i would have ordered only the Black grid for this month and the remaining grids are open )
now when i run the MRP run for next month and my requirement is less as compared to the preivous run , then the system should delete that two Grids from that PR and create new PR as the new requirment .
Is it Possible to do so . What is the standard functionlaity of the system , how does it work ,??
    Regards
    Rakesh

    Dear ,
Couple of question I would like to know :
1.What is the MRP type are you using  because you can fix the Roll Forward Indicator at MRP type  and also Roll Forward Period -SPRO-MRP-Planning -MRP Calcualtion -Planing Time fence and Roll forward period  .HEre you can also set the Delete Firmed order .
The roll forward period defines a period for updating the master plan. In this period, the system deletes all firmed orders that lie before the roll forward period on the time axis.At the same time the system adjusts the master plan to a new situation, if necessary, that is, if new requirements have been created, new orders are created.
    2.Any planning time fence ?
2.What is the time frame  in Grids ?  i means you want delete and recreate new planning considering grids ?? could please explain that .
R you running MRP with folloing set up ?
    NETCH
    Create PR -1
    Schedule Line : 1
    MRP List : 3
Planning Mode : Delete and Re-create Planning  mode -3
Othewise you need to set Delivery Complete or Deletion flag for those grids of PR collectively and Run the MRP .
Try the above possibilites if you can or else set deletion flag or delivery complete indicator for those PR.
    Regards

  • Material Requirements Planning

    Hi all,
I fixed in 90 days in Planned Delivery Time field, in MRP2 View of Material Master for Material with Material Type "Raw Material" and strategy group "Make To Stock,"so that Plan Order generated by MRP Run for such Material can have Order Finish Date as 90 Days ahead of Order Start Date. But an error occurs when Sales Delivery is done for such Material,System is not seeing Available stock for such Material during Sales Delivery. Please how can i rectify these issue ,so that system will be able to see available stock during Delivery.

    Hi,
Availability check has nothing to do with MRP.
Your problem, as described, is caused by incorrect definitions of the availability control (availability check field in MRP 3 view, and the undelying customization).
Please read the relevant SAP documentation:

As of BW Release 7.0, the BI lock server is used in BI Integrated Planning and in BW BPS. As a result, the implementation used in earlier releases of BW BPS becomes obsolete.
Note that this note does not make any general assertions about the Standard SAP Lock Server. The BI lock server is currently used exclusively by BI Planning and BW BPS (as of Release 7.0).
To store the lock table, you can choose between the following three options, which can be set in Transaction RSPLSE:
    1. The lock table is located in the SAP lock server.
    2. The lock table is contained in the shared objects memory of an application server.
    3. The lock table is contained in the liveCache.
In the first two cases, the lock tables have a fixed maximum size. This must be set so that it is not exceeded during current operation. Otherwise, this can result in program terminations since these exceptions can unfortunately not be caught in ABAP programs.
In BW, transaction data is blocked using selections. The locked selections are stored in the lock table.
This note is intended to provide you with information to help you determine the required memory consumption and then set the corresponding profile parameters. This note deals with the cases 1 and 2. If you want to use the SAP liveCache in the BI lock server, you can find the relevant sizing information in Note 816730.
Refer OSS - Note 928044 - BI lock server
    Hope it Helps

    Hi,
Try with fixed qty in CS02.
1.In CS02 for header material say X input given as item material 0010 say Y with qty 1.
2.Below that add one more same item material 0020 Y with qty 1.In the item overview indicate fixed qty.
3.Fixed qty means item qty is always 1 no. irrespective of independent requirement.
    4.Run MRP.If you need header material 10 no's, dependent material will be create (10+1) 11 no's.
I never tried this before. Hope this help.

  • Material Requirement planning configration

In MRP configuration "carry out over all maintenance of plant parameter" have contained  'start past ' parameter......
I am not understand how and where to use this parameter....
    please advice me...

In OPPQ, if you keep the indicator "Start in Past" as unchecked then if a planned order with start date in the past is converted to production order, it will use the setting OPU3, how many days in past the your order can be scheduled  (start in past, under scheduling control window pane) and if it goes past beyond those many days then it will change the basic dates in the production order to  forward scheduling.
But you also need to note that the setting in your MRP group (OPPR) has higher priority over plant setting in OPPQ, so if you want for all the plant to have same settings you need to make "Start in Past" as blank in OPPR, else if you want certain materials to have different setting change accordingly in MRP group and assign the MRP group to material in material master. Also it only makes sense to set Adjust dates as "Adjust basic dates, adjust dep. reqmts to order start date or operation date"
