    hi dev
    You can use the sales promotion component to manage a wide range of marketing activities. The standard R/3 System contains the following sales promotion types:
    Direct mailing campaign with follow-up activity
    This document helps you organize the sending of product information or promotional gifts and manages the creation of the relevant follow-up activity.
    Internet mailing campaign
    The Internet mailing campaign (sales activity type 0104 in the standard system) has the same characteristics as the direct mailing campaign with follow-up activity except that the output for the Internet mailing is sent via Internet.
    Direct mailing campaign without follow-up activity
    This document also helps you organize the sending of product information or promotional gifts. You can choose whether you want follow-up activities to be created.
    Collectively generated sales activities
    This sales promotion type functions as a worklist. For example, you can create a list of addresses of all customers who have not been contacted over a specified period and initiate a telemarketing campaign to that targets these customers. You can then follow up the telephone calls with a sales call.

  • Giving BOM material as free good in Sales Order

    Hi,
    I have a business requirement.
    I want to give a free good in Sales Oreder which is a BOM material.This should be possible by manually changing Item category for the line item in the Sales Order just like how we can change TAN to TANN in normal circumsatnces when we add free good material for any NON BOM material.
    In standard functionality,the item category determined for this BOM material is TAQ but this item category field in Sales Order is non editable because of which I can not include the BOM material as free good in my sales order.
    I have already defined one z Item category for free goods for this BOM material & want to use it in Sales Order.
    Can you please suggest how this can be handled ?
    Or is there any other work around by which will allow me to include BOM material as free good in my Sales Order ?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    BM

    Hi,
    Thanks everyone for the feedback.I agree with Samir Danish.It is a standard functionality of SAP which does not allow free goods for BOM material.
    However, can someone suggest work around to deal with this issue.I mean if any one has been doing any work around for this issue then please let me know.It s becoming critical for me.

  • BAPI/Function module TO block material which is mentioned in sales order

    Hi All
    Is there any BAPI to block material which is mationed in sales order....
    I am using BAPI_MATERIAL_AVAILABILITY to check material availibility
    how to block quantity if it is available whicl creating sales order via
    "BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDATA2"
    ..Thanks

    The normal SAP ATP done in the sales orders use the figure ''committed qty'' meaning that if the ATP has been done and confirmed, that quantity will not appear in the next sales order as available.
    So if You're using the normal BAPI to create the sales order, the normal ATP function will be called in the processing.
    Nevertheless another solution to this issue is to have the MTO (Make-to-order) solution where the requirements are ''attached'' to one sales order/line only.....like this the problem of the stock being taken to another customer disappears.
    To do this you'll have to configure the following :
    - Go to SPRO and go to Sales and distribution -> Basic functions -> Availability check and transfer of requirements -> Determination of requirements using transaction - Here insert the entry with your sales order type - MRP type (from material master - you might want to consider create one only for this solution) and you should use one of the following:
      - KEL      Make-to-order, mat. variants
      - KELV     Make-to-ord.variant + consump
      - KP       Make-to-order with project
    and choose the origin of your requirement - 1 - Item category + MRP Type
    - Than configure the association of the requirement type above to the requirement class (normally is the same code) transaction *OVZH*
    - Than configure the requirement class (this is what will tell the system the MTO) transaction *OVZG* - On the screen in the field Special stock - E - Sales order stock and please ask for help from an FI consultant because the area of *Account assignment is very important to be well configured*
    About the BAPI you're using - Its correct - That's the normal BAPI to be used, taking only into consideration the product allocation issue - MARA-KOSCH
    Explaining a little the BAPI you're using :
    The program should check if the selected material is allocated or non-allocated.
    This information is stored in a field MARA-KOSCH.
    We should check this field and if the field is not empty then material is allocated, otherwise is not:
           select kosch into l_kosch
            from mara
           where matnr = <VBAP-MATNR>. " Selected material
            if subrc = 0.
               if l_kosch is initial.
                  +" Perform calculation for non-allocated materials+
               else.
                  +" Perform calculation for allocated materials+
              endif.
           else.
         " Material not found, skip it ...
          endif.
    For allocated materials it will be checked allocation for the netting market of that Order.
    The calculation rules for allocated and non-allocated materials are different.
    For Non-allocated materials
    BAPI 'BAPI_MATERIAL_AVAILABILITY' should be used for getting the ATP quantity.
    Bapi should be called as follows --
    data: lfl_bapiwmdvs type bapiwmdvs,
    lit_bapiwmdvs type standard table of bapiwmdvs,
    lfl_bapiwmdve type bapiwmdve,
    lit_bapiwmdve type standard table of bapiwmdve,
    l_dialogflag type bapicm61v-diafl.
    call function 'BAPI_MATERIAL_AVAILABILITY'
    exporting
    plant = <VBAP-WERKS>
    material = <VBAP-MATNR>
    unit = <VBAP- VRKME>
    check_rule = 'A'
    +* STGE_LOC =+
    +* BATCH =+
    +* CUSTOMER =+
    importing
    +* ENDLEADTME =+
    +* av_qty_plt =+
    DIALOGFLAG = l_dialog
    +* RETURN =+
    tables
    wmdvsx = lit_bapiwmdvs
    wmdvex = lit_bapiwmdve.
    Please note that table lit_bapiwmdvs is the input table and to this following input should be passed -
    lfl_bapiwmdvs-req_date = sy-datum. "Current date
    lfl_bapiwmdvs- REQ_QTY = <Unconfirmed Quantity> in Sales Order Unit
    append lfl_bapiwmdvs to lit_bapiwmdvs.
    The return value l_dailog will be --
    ' ' --- Quantity can be Delivered -- Item to be displayed in the Report!
    'X' --- Complete quantity cannot be delivered -- ATP failed, Item not to be displayed.
    'N' --- Material not relevant for ATP --- Item not to be displayed in the Report.
    For Allocated materials
    For the allocated Materials, we have to first do the ATP check in same fashion as for Non-allocated Materials and then in addition to this ATP check, we have to also check for Allocation from SIS table S941.
    If ATP check fails, straight away the Item should be ignored from Output display.
    If ATP check passes, we further check allocation as follows --
    Valid entry should select from S941 as -
    data: l_period like s941-spbup,
    l_BUPER LIKE T009B-POPER,
    l_GJAHR LIKE T009B-BDATJ,
    lfl_s941 type t_s941.
    data: l_bukrs type tvko-bukrs,
    l_periv type t001-periv.
    * Select company code
    select single bukrs into l_bukrs
    from tvko
    where vkorg = <VBAK-VKORG>.
    * Select fiscal year variant
    select single periv into l_periv
    from t001
    where bukrs = l_bukrs.
    * Get Period
    CALL FUNCTION 'DATE_TO_PERIOD_CONVERT'
    EXPORTING
    I_DATE = sy-datum
    I_PERIV = l_periv
    IMPORTING
    E_BUPER = l_buper
    E_GJAHR = l_gjahr
    EXCEPTIONS
    INPUT_FALSE = 1
    T009_NOTFOUND = 2
    T009B_NOTFOUND = 3
    OTHERS = 4
    IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
    * Ignore entry and skip further processing
    ENDIF.
    concatenate l_gjahr l_buper+1(2) into l_period.
    select single kcqty aemenge from s941
    into corresponding fields of lfl_s941
    where SPBUP = l_period
    and KONOB = 'OBJ_ALL_MATERIALS'
    AND MATNR = <VBAP-MATNR>
    and zzcnetmark = <VBAK-ZZCNETMARK>
    and VRSIO EQ '000'.
    IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
    *Ignore entry and skip further processing
    ENDIF.
    Remaining Allocation = difference between product allocation quantity and incoming order quantity
    i.e. (S941-KCQTY - S941-AEMENGE). Now we have to compare this qty with the Unconfirmed qty.
    Ensure same Material UOM for quantity comparison as follows --
    IF <VBAP-VRKME> NE <S941-BASME>.
    CALL FUNCTION 'MD_CONVERT_MATERIAL_UNIT'
    EXPORTING
    i_matnr = <VBAP-MATNR>
    i_in_me = <VBAP-VRKME>
    i_out_me = <S941-BASME>
    i_menge = <Unconfirmed qty in Sales UOM>
    IMPORTING
    e_menge = l_menge
    EXCEPTIONS
    error_in_application = 1
    error = 2
    OTHERS = 3.
    IF sy-subrc <> 0.
    * Ignore entry and skip further processing
    ENDIF.
    ELSE.
    *If both Units are same no need for conversion
    l_menge = <Unconfirmed qty in Sales UOM>
    ENDIF.
    Then, compare if Remaining Allocation > = l_menge i.e. Unconfirmed quantity converted to S941-BASME unit, then there is enough allocation for this Material for the Unconfirmed quantity and should be displayed in the report.
    Else, the Item should be ignored.

  • What is the purpose of using cash sales doc type?

    what is the purpose of using cash sales doc type?

    You can go through the link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/70/a7853478616434e10000009b38f83b/frameset.htm
    Update from help.sap.com
    Cash sales is an order type for when the customer orders, picks up and pays for the goods immediately. The delivery is processed as soon as the order has been entered. A cash invoice can be printed immediately from the order and billing is related to the order. Receivables do not occur for the customer as they do for rush or standard orders, because the invoice amount is posted directly to a cash account.
    Process Flow
    In the standard system, sales document type BV is saved for cash sales with immediate delivery type BV.
    When the sales employee creates a cash sale, the system automatically proposes the current date as the date for delivery and billing. Once the order has been posted, a delivery with type BV is created immediately in the background and the system prints a document that is used as an invoice for the customer.
    The invoice papers are controlled with output type RD03, contained in the output determination procedure for order type BV.
    If the customer has already received the goods, this delivery should not be relevant for picking. If the customer is to pick the goods up from a warehouse, the delivery should be relevant for picking. If the goods are to be sent, this can be processed by maintaining the delivery in the usual way.
    The system automatically creates a resource-related billing index which updates the billing due list. Billing document BV is created as the system processes the billing due list, but an invoice is not printed.
    Once the customer has received the goods and is satisfied with them, the transaction is considered to be complete. We recommend that you post goods issue in the background using a program designed specifically for this purpose. You can then bill the transaction.
    The cash sale can only be billed if the order quantity is the same as the goods issue quantity. If this is not the case, you need to adjust the cash sale document so that the delivered quantity and the quantity to be billed match.
    You use an order-related collective billing process to bill the cash sale, but an invoice is not printed. The sales order number is used as the reference for the accounting document, created in Financial Accounting.
    Dealing with Problems and Complaints
    If the transaction does not run smoothly, manual intervention is necessary. For example, if the required quantity of goods is not found in the warehouse, you need to adjust the delivery quantity. Equally, if the customer is not prepared to pay the agreed price, because, for example, the goods are scratched, you can change the price in the cash sale document.
    In extreme cases, you can delete the entire transaction, starting with the delivery.
    If the delivery is damaged before it is picked up but after it is paid for and there is no replacement stock, you can initiate a subsequent delivery.
    If you make changes to the cash sale, you can issue a new cash sale invoice using the repeat printout function.
    Creating a Cash Sale
    In the initial screen, choose Logistics ® Sales and distribution ® Sales.
    Choose Order ® Create.
    Enter the order type for cash sales (BV in the standard system) and, if necessary, the organizational data.
    The values for sales organization, distribution channel and the division are usually proposed from user-defined parameters. Entries for the sales office and the sales group are optional.
    Choose Enter.
    Enter the following data:
    – Customer number of the sold-to party
    – Material numbers
    – Order quantities for the materials
    Choose Enter.
    If the system carries out an availability check and finds that there is insufficient stock for an order item to be delivered on the requested date, it displays a screen on which you can choose between several delivery proposals. Normally, in a cash sale, you only sell the quantity you can deliver on the spot.
    Save your document.
    The system automatically processes the delivery in the background and prints out a cash sale invoice. The amount of the sale is processed later in an order-related billing transaction. The amount is posted to financial accounting, using the order number as reference. Because this is a cash sale, no invoice is produced during the billing run.

  • Material  xyz not allowed for sales from India

    Hai Gurus,
    can any body give me solution for this....
    i am getting this error in VL01n
    "material  xyz not allowed for sales from India"
    when i click on error it was taxation error...
    and if i cross chk in mm02.xd02 evrything is correct for SP...
    where i am doing mistake
    Kindly Help.......

    Hi Venkat
    Question sounds redundant, but did you maintain tax data in sales org view for Country INDIA ?  Because after you setup Plant in India, you should start seeing country code IN in your tax data view under sales org view of material master, unless you have other plants already setup in Country IN before this one, then you shouldn't get this error.  Reward points if useful.
    regards

    You can use this component to identify and differentiate between individual items of material. This component therefore ideally supplements the material master record, which may contain all data for describing and managing a piece of material, but which does not enable you to differentiate between individual items of that material.
    You can use serial numbers when working with the following business procedures and objects
    Plant Maintenance
    Production orders
    Sales and Distribution
    Quality Management
    Inventory Management and Physical Inventory
    Repetitive manufacturing.

  • ERP 6.0 SO Order special equipment & material to be used with.

    Hi SD Geeks,
    I am asked to set up the following scenario:
    Order for Material A with price XXX (Dummy Material no Stock) to end customer (price including equipment rent)
    We will deliver a x month supply of A ( in real B) to the end customer and bill end customer every quarter
    Delivery must have Material B ( real material to be deliverd) and posted Goods issue
    Invoice Material A price XXX to end customer
    Stock movement for Material B is a must ( A I don't care)
    Have WM active (need to pick material B)
    You can compare to when selling paper towels to a company to refill a dispenser you installed. The towels are the real material B
    and can be sold seperate but when sold with a dispenser you will deliver on a monthly basis using material B ( price incliuds the rent of the dispenser).
    Checked a view things but did not work.
    I am kind of drawing blank, any idea is appreciated.
    Thanks, Ron

    Hi Chandrasekhar,
    I have been down that road using a Sales BOM and / or a contract w/ and w/ billing plan. With dummy material and with real material also BOM (Dummy was Header - component was real material). Its not the equipment I try to incorporate as a component its that I have one material that will be sold like two different . Once the 'normal" material with the associated price, stock and so on that can be orered by any customer but also as a refill supply for the equipment for customers having our equipment. The Material is still the same.  I can deliver the equipment w/o charge upfront but the monthly supply must include rental fee and revenue of the equipment and the material". BOM worked for demand but not for Stock and WM since I can not pick the component. I guess I may try a solution on MM/PP side using a dummy material in contract and order, deliver and invoice and have a production process to post material a to material like a real production based on demand of the dummy material.
    Thanks a lot for the really thoughtful comments, Ronald

  • Multiple Material Numbers to use one Info Record

    I have several material numbers that I have recently set up as Subcontracting special procurement. All of these numbers use one quote from our vendor. How do I assign multiple numbers to a single info record?
    Thanks for your assistance!!

    SAP knows 2 kind of subcontracting scenarios, a purchasing route and a production route.
    in the purchasing subcontract scenario you order the finished material with item category L, you can see the components in the purchase order and you consume the components when you post the goods receipt to  this purchase order.
    in the production route, you create production orders to "manufacture" the finished and to consume the components, the purchase order is only to procure the service. you do goods receipt and cosumption in reference to the production order, and you do a goods receipt for the service in reference to the purchase order.
    if the info record is without material number,then you cannot have a permanent  link to a material if you use the purchasing route.
    Usually SAP will propose the info record as source when you assign and process requisitions in ME57. I doupt that SAP will propose info records without material number for requisition with material number. so the only chance to assign such info record to a PO to get the price defaulted would be manual entry of info record number in ME21N (F4 search help is available)
    in the production subcontracting process you can enter the info record number in the recipe, so you can establish a permanent link in master data. So SAP exactly knows which info record price to pull for the service orders. and in this process you can enter one info record number in several recipes.

  • Offline Instantiation of a Materialized View Site Using Export/Import

    Has anyone had any success performing offline instantiation of a materialized view site using export/import in Oracle9?

    This is what I wanted to ask in the forum. I want to use datapump for the initial instantiation because I believe that indexes (the actual indextables, not just the definition) are also replicated using datapump.
    So, is it possible to do the instantiation using datapump?

  • Custom - Material Master Update using an IDOC (Message Type - MATMAS_BAPI)

    Hello everyone,
    I was writing a functional specs. Basically, I want to update the material master MM02 using an IDOC (MATMAS_BAPI01 - Basic Type & MATMAS_BAPI - Message Type). This is currently working.
    To my understanding, this currently uses function module - BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1 to update the material master after the IDOC is posted to SAP ECC from XI system.
    Now I want to add one small validation logic before it actually updates the material master (MM02).
    I looked around and found one exit - EXIT_SAPLMV02_002 in enhancement MGV00001. I was almost sure that this EXIT can be used to write the custom validation code before, actual MM02 updation.
    However while trying to establish a link between this EXIT and BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1, I found that EXIT_SAPLMV02_002 is actually a part of another function module - IDOC_INPUT_MATMAS01 and not BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1. I am stuck here if adding the custom logic in the exit really going to work.
    a bit of googling and I found from WE30 that the purpose of both these function modules are actually different. While BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1  actually create & updates the material master (also plant specific master data which is my need), IDOC_INPUT_MATMAS01 is just for maintenence of few fields in MM02 (may be custom fields).
    Can anyone point out if my thing is in right direction?
    Also please offer any solution where shall I put the Custom Logic in the EXIT or the some variants of
    BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1.
    A less technical explanation would be appreciated as I come from a functional background and invloved in this for writing the func specs. I want to make it sure that what I write is not useless and makes some sense.
    Thanks in advance,
    Arunesh

    Hi Lalit,
    Did some head breaking with the function module - BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1 to check whether it is calling the EXIT_SAPLMV02_002 internally. Couldn't get anywhere.
    On question of another EXIT in BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1, I don't see any. I am not very proficient in ABAP code, I must say though.
    I found the list of exits from google, almost same list everywhere.
    http://www.sapfans.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=296637
    here I got the EXIT, I am talking about.
    Any other way to find either the EXIT or link the above?

  • Problem in creating and updating of  material by the use of bapi and bdc

    Hello All,
    I am using bapi (BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA ) and than bdc to create and update classification data of material.
    I am facing a problem.
    1) firstly I am creating material by the use of bapi and than after creation i want to update classification data for taht perticular material .
    2) To update classification data i am using bdc . while at the time of updating material through bdc system showing me error that material is currently locked by user (my login name ).
    Please suggest what to do.
    Tkank you
    With Regards
    Shantanu Modi

    When u update/create data it takes sometime to commit. So after using BAPI
    give 10 minutes wait in ur program before updating classification data.
    you can write like
    wait up to 20 seconds.
    and update the classification.
