Math library not generating errno values or SIGFPE on Intel!!

Hello. I posted this a long while back and got no responses, so I decided to ask again. I am writing a calculator, and it is not very nice for testing if I have to wind up with this:
<pre style="width: 600px; background-color: #F0F0F0">$ hoc
sqrt(-4)
nan
atan2(0,0)
0
pow(-4, 1/2)
nan
1e4000 * 1e4000
inf
(-1e4000) * (1e40000)
-inf
1e-40000
0
</pre>
My program handles SIGFPE and there is a function errcheck() that checks the value of errno. It seems like the atan2(), pow(), and sqrt() functions do not assign to errno like they should. I'm running on an Intel Mac, and it makes making sure this calculator works right a big pain. Does anyone PLEASE know how to fix this? THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What x-bc does is: convert long function names (sin(), ...) to the short ones (s(), ...), save the final result in a temporary file, and just pipe bc -lq (include math library, no GNU bc banner) redirecting standard input to that temporary file over to their GTK+ text box. There's something that has to do with GNU bc then, and that results in a weird value (1) in my testing...
PS - The file is src/main_window.cc; function int main_window::executeBc() - on version 2.0: lines 376 through 408. The code that does converting long to short is unknown to me.

  • Keychain not generating keys for email certificates

    In trying to set up email signing for two different machines I ran into a problem when adding email authentication certificates from Comodo.  After downloading the .p7s files each of the users double clicked the files, adding them to their key chains.  However, when they opened Mail there were no options for adding the lock(encrypt) and star(digitally sign) icons to their 'compose new message' windows.
    After a lot of screwing around, I discovered that the new certificates had been added, but just as regular certificates and never made it to the 'My certificates' section.  After some more comparisons I discovered that the private keys had not been generated automatically when the keys were added.  The solution was to send the origional files to a machine that was generating keys, add them to that machine's keychain and then export the certificates (this time with a .p12 extention) and re-import the keys back to the owners machines.
    That's a pain.  Anyone seen this before?  Have a better fix?
    Configs as follows
    Working configuration (generates keys)
    iMac 27" 3.4ghz Intel core i7
    Mac os 10.7.2
    keychain 5.0
    Broken configurations (not generating keys)
    Mac Mini 2.66 intell core duo
    Mac os 10.7.2
    keychain 5.0

    Hi Jack,
    Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over.
    Resetting your keychain in Mac OS X...
    If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.

    HI
    When I put a network shared variable with fifo RT activated on my diagram, the arrow is broken.and I' ve got this message:
    ""LabVIEW could not generate code for the shared variable.You must open the VI in the project that contains the library where the shared variable resides""
    If I uncheck FIFO RT option for this variable the arrow isn't broken anymore.
    I 've no idea how to correct this weird error?
    Autodeploy is on, and I've check copy / delete in diagram in tool/options\diagram

    New package or one that used to work? Connecting how? How does it poll?
    On the surface it is an error from a memory space of the binary/non-managed code, so nothing can be really concluded based on what you decided to share with us.

    So Same package is working fine from my local machine which has SQL 2008 R2 and SQL 2012 installed. I am trying to push the package on server which has sql server 2012 Installed .
    I don't see any error .
    I ran package manually from server using SQL Data tools and ran successfully...

    Hi,
    I have created very basic "Java EE 1.5 with support for jax-ws Annotations" web service and deploying in to web logic server 10.3.0.0. I am using Jdeveloper 11g for convert my java file to web service and deploying the same in to WLS directly from Jdev IDE.
    Problem is, I cant able to see "Test Client" testPoint in order to test my webservice. When I access my web service via WLS admin console can able to see only "?WSDL" test point at TESTING tab and WSDL is accessible. But Test client is not getting generated.
    Please help me, what am I missing here, why the WLServer not generating the test client. Am I missing any setting at server side. Please help me. Below is my web service code.

    Hi LJ,
    I did the same. I configured my WLS for development mode by making production_mode = false. But still I cant able to open http://localhost:7001/wls_utc window and so far cant able to test my WS :(
    Please check my config file and let me know where else I suppose to make the production mode false!!

  • FlexUnit not generating TestRunner.swf when compiled with Hudson / Ant

    I've been dabbling with FlexUnit (4.1 RC2) and CI under Hudson. To that effect, I chose to test the server configuration with the sample CI project that comes with the 4.1 RC2 distribution of FlexUnit, and compiling the project with Hudson (now Jenkins after most recent update) and Ant (1.8). It doesn't work because it does not seem to compile the TestRunner swf. After exploring the artifacts in the workspace, it appears that the TestRunner mxml file is created as you would expect, but then the mxmlc compiler is seemingly silently failing to complete the compile step.
    It's worth noting at this point that compiling on my local dev machine does work (as it does on a half dozen other dev machines), also, the Hudson configuration is good for compiling other Flash projects. So mxmlc from the Flex SDK is setup and compiling other projects successfully.
    Here's the first part of the build log from Hudson / Jenkins as it tries to compile the sample project:
    compile:
        [mxmlc] Loading configuration file /opt/flex/frameworks/flex-config.xml
    test:
    [flexunit] Validating task attributes ...
    [flexunit] Generating default values ...
    [flexunit] Using the following settings for compilation:
    [flexunit]      FLEX_HOME: [/opt/flex]
    [flexunit]      player: [flash]

    After this line I would expect another line indicating the swf output and the size of the file - as I see in the build log on my dev machine - but that never happens because mxmlc never writes the swf. I have no idea why this fails.
    Then there is a bunch of other stuff to do with attempting to launch the test with Xvnc:

    But of course by this point we're toast because mxmlc has not output the TestRunner swf, so the filename is invalid. If anyone has any idea what's wrong, or any suggestions on things to try, please let me know, we're desperate!!
    Thanks for your time.

    Try ensuring the flash player on the server is definitely the Flash Debugger, also you have set headless to false, it needs to be true.

  • Referenced Parameters in C library not working on Compact RIO

    High level
    I want to use Google Protobuf on my Compact RIO.  I have it 90% of the way there and running into issues.
    Details
    I'm a long time C++ developer who's newish to LabVIEW.  I'm using C to create a cross-compiled library to use on a Compact RIO (9025) with LabVIEW code.  I'm using Linux (Ubuntu 14.04.1) with a VxWorks toolchain and CMake to create the library.  I copy it over manually (looking for a better solution to that here), call it from LabVIEW via a Call Library Function, and assuming I'm doing simple things it works great!  Here's a quick sample of what I have that works:
    My C code
    extern "C" double addNums(double in1, double in2)
    return in1 + in2;
    extern "C" double multNums(double in1, double in2)
    return in1 * in2;
    Which I cross compile to a VxWorks binary and copy over to the cRIO.
    Then on the LabVIEW side, I have this.
    I run it on the target cRIO and all works great.
    I mentioned protobuf.  Cross compiling the full blown protobuf library for VxWorks proved to be a near (if not 100%) impossible task.  So I found and am using Nanopb.  I'm able to cross compile and get the following code using Nanopb to actually run on the cRIO and spit out the expected response:
    extern "C" double testPbuf()
    uint8_t buffer[128];
    size_t message_length;
    bool status;
    std::ofstream file;
    file.open("testOutput.bin", std::ios::out | std::ios::binary);
    //! Create a message
    ExampleMsg message;
    message.value = 13;
    pb_ostream_t stream = pb_ostream_from_buffer(buffer, sizeof(buffer));
    status = pb_encode(&stream, ExampleMsg_fields, &message);
    //! Decode the message
    ExampleMsg message;
    pb_istream_t stream = pb_istream_from_buffer(buffer, message_length);
    status = pb_decode(&stream, ExampleMsg_fields, &message);
    return message.value;
    return 0;
    Not terribly important, but if you know protobuf, here's the proto message I'm using
    message ExampleMsg {
    required int32 value = 1;
    So then I call this function from LabVIEW very simply:
    I run this and it works!  I see my 13 as expected.  Jump for joy, protobuf works on the Compact RIO!  Ok no jumping yet...
    Now what I want to do is get the C library to generate and output the actual serialized protobuf message because I need to send it over UDP from the Compact RIO.  So here's my attempt so far:
    extern "C" const void getPacket(uint8_t* packet)
    uint8_t buffer[128];
    uint16_t packetSize;
    bool status;
    ExampleMsg msg;
    pb_ostream_t stream = pb_ostream_from_buffer(buffer, sizeof(buffer));
    msg.value = 14;
    status = pb_encode(&stream, ExampleMsg_fields, &msg);
    packetSize = stream.bytes_written;
    //! If something failed we should see an 'X' in the first byte
    if (!status)
    buffer[0] = 'X';
    memcpy(packet, buffer, packetSize);
    And on the LabVIEW side, I'm initializing an array of unsigned int 8s to the proper size and feeding it into the function, and reading the packet parameter as output.
    When I run this I never get any output on packet except whatever I set the initializer to.  I have also changed the code to try to output a string as a parameter argument, with this declaration:
    extern "C" const void getPacket(char* packet)
    And memcpy() appropriately and can't seem to get the output properly in LabVIEW using strings in place of the U8s.  I need to figure out how to get this serialized protobuf data into LabVIEW so I can send it over UDP as a message.
    I have seen several examples in the LabVIEW installation directory, but they're referring to objects and libraries which are meant for Windows DLLs and not easily used in a cross compiled environment.  I also have seen many threads on here relating to this but none have helped so far.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    I would hate to do a file write to solve this as it would add a whole new lag to the system.  I did end up with a solution, which is essentially what I posted above.  It seems like the real issue I was having was that the dll was not being reloaded on subsequent rebuilds/tests.  So I would make changes to the DLL to test and they wouldn't be reflected even when I copied the DLL to the Compact RIO.  Turns out I have to completely close the project and re-open it if I change the dll file.  This is really strange behaviour.  I could even *delete* the DLL from the Compact RIO and the VI would still run with the previous "copy" somehow.
    Anyhow it looks like I have protobuf working from the Compact RIO, though still have a few issues with encoding certain data types.  If anyone is interested in the full solution I may do a write up.

  • When generating Navigator Form, CG$STARTUP_MODE not generated

    Hi all,
    We are using Desesigner 6.4.2 and Headstart, and I try to generate a Navigator Form. In this case, the generator does not generate the parameter CG$STARTUP_MODE.
    Running the fmx, an error message pops up saying: FRM-47023: No such parameter named cg$startup_mode exists in form ...
    This error is raised during the PRE-FORM trigger.
    When using the the preference set QMS65_DEBUG_MODULE, this error does not occur. This convinces me that there is a bug in the delivered Headstart libraries.
    Thanks in advance,
    Joep Hendrix

    All,
    Tonight I added the following text to bug 2309202 in the bug database on this topic:
    start *************************************************************************************
    Suggested workaround for this bug does not work because of another bug: 2391990. When the cg$startup parameter is not generated, all user defined arguments at module will not be generated neither.
    Since it is not possible to generate a parameter cg$startup_mode into a form by adding it to the template form in advance (OFG ignores template form parameters starting with CG$), the only workaround for the problem with cg$startup mode seems to be to make the headstart library code robust for the lack of this parameter, using built in qms$errors.add_suppress_message('FRM-47023').
    However, the problem is caused by OFG (bug 2391990), not headstart.
    end *************************************************************************************
    Also I logged bug 2391990 on Oracle Form Generator, that is referred to. Bug text for this bug:
    start *************************************************************************************
    BUG 2391990 - OFG GENERATOR DOES NOT GENERATE PARAMETERS FOR ARGUMENTS IN READ ONLY FORMS
    Since release 4.2 of Designer 6.5, form generator sometimes does not generate
    parameters for user defined arguments. On top of that, parameter
    cg$startup_mode is also not generated in this case.
    This makes the suggested workaround for bug 2309202 useless.
    How to reproduce
    ================
    Use designer (I used some wizards) to
    - create a table definitaion named TEST
    - add columns (id number(10) not null, name (30))
    - add a primary key on column id.
    - create a module named TESTMOD (Oracle Forms)
    - add a module component named TEST, insert=no, update=no, delete=no
    - add a table usage on table TEST
    - add bound items for columns id and name display length 10 resp. 30 and
    properties insert=no, update=no for both columns
    - add an argument p_test at module level, varchar2, length=50, default
    value=test
    - generate the module for the 1st time. Notice that parameters cg$startup_mode
    and p_test are generated.
    - now, change the display length of bound item id from 10 to 15
    - generate the module again. Notice that parameters cg$startup_mode and p_test
    are -NOT- generated!
    - change the bound item length back from 15 to 10 for id
    - Set the module component properties insert=yes, update=yes, delete=yes (do
    not touch the insert/update property at bound item level)
    - generate the module again. Notice that in this case the parameters
    cg$startup_mode and p_test are NOT generated
    - Set the bound item properties insert=yes, update=yes for id and name
    - generate the module again. Now the parameters are correctly generated.
    The behaviour seems intermittently, but is reproducible every time the
    specification is exactly the same as before.
    The above scenario was tested with AND without making use of the Headstart
    template package set. This did not affect the outcome: in both cases the
    errors did occur.
    It is not possible anymore to rely on the correct generation of the argument
    and named passed value mechanism of OFG.
    end *************************************************************************************

  • Does GTC generate default value for Password attribute.??

    I am using GTC as trusted source reconciliation.
    My doubt is if I don’t map the password attribute does it generate default value to the password attribute in user form??
    I have a random password generator in pre-insert, first i tried as below which didn't work later after updating it worked fine.
    IF (password=null)
    Generaterandampassword
    SetPassword= Generaterandampassword
    If i use adapter as above it not generating random password. i see that password as 'temp' to all the users.
    I am thinking gtc generates a value to password filed even if we don't pass any value... am i right?? Please let me know..
    Thanks..

  • Parameter issue - report not generating any pdf files

    Hi All,
    I'm trying to run a report which generates pdf files. Is there any limitation on the parameter string size? For one of the parameter values - '11F EA Accept nonhonor ASnSOMnSON_20091201090150846' the report is not generating any pdf files. I assumed the reason is of the keyword 'AS' in it and created another parameter value - '11F EA Accept nonhonor AnS-SOM-SON_20091202074331997', but it is also not generating any pdf files. I get this message from Adobe Reader " There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be opened because it has no pages. " The report is working normally when i hardcode the same parameter values into the logic. Any suggestions on this?
    Thanks.

    Tim,
    That report is working normally for all the parameter values, except this one. It is not working only if i pass the value - ''11F EA Accept nonhonor ASnSOMnSON_20091201090150846' as a parameter. It is generating the pdf files when i hardcode the same value into sql query logic in the data template, instead of passing it as a parameter. Please advise.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Please check the reason for value not flowing to the header data of the billing document.Once you get the value of the document tin the header , there will be no issue in creating an accounting document.
    Check the item category of the credit memo.
