    This is a SQL Server 2012 Developer Edition of SSRS.
    I am getting this error when navigating to http://servername/Reports. The reports site was working fine, until I installed a SQL 2014 Developer instance (including SSRS) on the same server.
    I can still get to the http://servername/ReportServer site.
    Neither of these are using Sharepoint.
    Any help resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Glen,
    "The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference." is generally caused by the loaded assembly's version is different than the expected version application refers to.
    In this case, it should be caused by:
    While starting Report Manager, the backend process ReportingServiceService need to load assemblies it refers to
    ReportingServiceService reads the compilation/assemblies element from web.config(under Report Manager virtual patch)
    If the compilation/assemblies is not existing, ReportingServiceService loads all assemblies from Bin folder. It can be verified from call stack System.Web.Configuration.CompilationSection.LoadAllAssembliesFromAppDomainBinDirectory(). ReportingServiceService
    uses System.Reflection.Assembly.Load with the assemblies' name only to load assemblies.
    The Assembly.Load tries to load from the specify assembly by name from GAC at first. If it is found from GAC, it won't be loaded from Bin folder any more.
    Since Reporting Service SharePoint Integration mode is installed, a same assembly of 'Microsoft.ReportingServices.SharePoint.ObjectModel' with different version might be installed to the GAC. That causes the error "The located assembly's manifest definition
    does not match the assembly reference."
    For more information about the error message and the loading process, please see:

    Since CSOM provides methods for operations related to people per
    user scope, you could retrieve all site users first using SP.Web.siteUsers
    property. and then use SP.UserProfiles.PeopleManager.getUserProfilePropertyFor
    Method to get property.

  • Utl_file not generating file but no raising no exceptions

    The utl_file_dir is set to /tmp/usr on my system. I am trying to write a simple file in this directory as follows :
    declare
    l_filehandle UTL_FILE.FILE_TYPE;
    begin
    l_filehandle := UTL_FILE.FOPEN('/usr/tmp', 'test_file','w');
    utl_file.putf(l_filehandle, 'test');
    utl_file.fclose(l_filehandle);
    end;
    When i run this, i do not see any errors but at the same time the file is not generated. Any ideas what the issue may be.
    I ran this from both sqlplus client and from the unix server but no luck in both teh cases. The procedure just completes without generating the file.
    please help

    thanks for the response, apparantly it was creating the files on a different server. I'm not sure why or how.

  • Sharepoint 2013 Does not open files using UNC path from Server

    Hi All,
    Just setup our new 2013 sharepoint intranet site , I tried adding a hyperlink to a document stored on our server using a UNC path file://servername/share/filename.doc but when i click on it it takes me to a blank Webpage in a new tab.
    I have turned on "open client applications" in the site collection features hoping that would help ....buuuuuut it did not.
    Also tried variations in the UNC path eg: \\servername\share\filename.doc etc..
    Any help would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks

    Open start run > type > file://servername/share/filename.doc Does this works

    Actually the problem I described is an Internet Explorer issue and I will try to get resolution in the appropriate forum.  IE exhibits the described behavior whether the link is in a Sharepoint site page, or in a regular non-Sharepoint web page.
    Mozilla does not have the issue.

  • Successfully processed messages did not generate files

    Hi,
    I have a situation with file interface were XI is generated text files. I have several successfully messages out of which only some messages created files but not all. I checked the FTP but don't see all the files. Where do I need to start looking or troubleshooting? How can I rerun the successful messages to create the file? I cannot rerun the program otherwise I will duplication in R/3.
    Thanks,
    Sangita

    Hi Sangita,
    start having a look at the runtime workbench -> adapter engine where you'll see the status of your messages at adapter engine level.
    Could it be that you set the append mode so every time the file content is just appended? try adding a timestamp when you generate the file, just to check if everything is ok.
    Are you using condition to create the files? maybe this could be a reason, check the message payload from SXMB_MONI.
    If messages are in error in SXMB_MONI you can restart them from there, otherwise if they are in error in the adapter engine you can restart them from RWB.
    Hope it helps,
    Kind Regards,
    Sergio

  • Excel 2013 will not open file using double click

    I have a problem with Excel 2013  running on Windows 7 Pro (64). When double clicking an Excel file from Windows Explorer  Excel launches but opens a blank worksheet and shows me an error message (german: sinngemäß: "die Weitergabe eines anderen
    Programms ist gescheitert"). The only way to view the document is by opening Excel and browsing to the saved file.
    I have read similar forum entries which address this problem in older versions of Excel. I have tried every solution but none of them worked.
    I already added the registry setting for shell open and set the Ignore Other Applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) (unchcked).
    The problem still persists. When I first installed Office 2013 it all worked fine. I believe the problem occured after installing Project 2013, but I am not quite sure about that. Reinstalling Excel did not help.
    I´d appreciate any help,
    Regards Stefan Hassel

    Hi,
    Check the following steps:
    1. Make sure that Excel is not running (exit the program).
    2. Click the Start button to displays the Start menu.
    3. From the Start menu, choose Run. Windows displays the Run dialog box.
    4. In the Open box, enter the full path name to your Excel program, followed by the /regserver switch. If the full path name includes spaces, surround the full path name by quote marks. The following is an example of what you can enter in the Open box
    (your path may be different):
         "c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Excel.exe" /regserver
    •  Click OK.

    In the last few weeks I have lost the ability to attach files to an email whilst accessing via Safari but it works with Google Crome, any fixes please?

    Hi calsgran,
    Have you made sure Safari has all the latest updates installed? If you have no preference to use it over Chrome I would recommend just continuing to use Chrome if it works better for you.

  • Email through Event receiver in SharePoint Online

    Hi,
    I am creating an event receiver for custom list which will send email to users in sharepoint online.
    I am using the following code to send email through event receivers in sharepoint.
                MailMessage mMailMessage = new MailMessage();
                mMailMessage.From = new MailAddress("[email protected]");
                mMailMessage.To.Add(new MailAddress("[email protected]));
                mMailMessage.Subject = "subject1";
                mMailMessage.Body = "just a body";
                mMailMessage.IsBodyHtml = true;
                SmtpClient client = new SmtpClient("smtp.office365.com", 587)
                    Credentials = new NetworkCredential("[email protected]", "****"),
                    EnableSsl = true,
                   UseDefaultCredentials = false,
              client.Send(mMailMessage);
    NOTE: I am using MailMessage() because it is in the sandbox solution.
    However I am facing the following error :
    Request for the permission of type 'System.Net.Mail.SmtpPermission, System, Version=4.0.0.0,
    Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed.
    It may be because I am trying to use SMTP server of sharepoint Online,However I am not able to connect it.
    Can anybody help me and can advice how to send email programmatically from sharePoint online ?
    Thanks
    Jhalak

    In Office 365, there's no direct way to send an email programmatically because the SPUtility.SendEmail
    Method isn't available in sandboxed solutions. The workaround is to use the Send an Email action in a list workflow.

  • Retirement of SharePoint Online Tags & Notes feature

    Hi everybody,
    Our Company has a challenge after the "Retirement of SharePoint Online Tags & Notes feature" was announced. The big question is: What should we use instead of the
    Noteboard? We use the Noteboard under e.g. News Article Page Layouts.
    I get the feeling that we can only use the Newsfeed as a Web Part in a Page Layout but we don't want to change this again when the
    Newsfeed will be deprecated and Yammer will be the standard...

    Good topic. We use Yammer as MSFT will eventually make it default social platform. Yammer need to improve a lot and not their yet in terms of authentication and credential sharing.

  • Moving Files using sockets

    I wanted to know of a good way to move, not copy, files using sockets? Any help would be great.
    Thanks

    Even on the same machine, you can only move a file on the same filesystem. i.e. the file appears in a different directory rather than copying the file.
    If you have an C: and D: drive for example it will copy and delete the file on a move.
    Unix allows you to have symbolic links which can make a file/directory from anywhere appear anywhere on your filesystem. It does not copy or actaully move the file, it just appears to be where ever you choose.
