Any suggestions for installing HPprinter drivers software, downloaded from the apple support site?? I've received the message -- "The volume does not meet the requirements for this update"

Whatever software you need should be downloaded automatically when you connect the printer and add it in the Printers & Scanners preference pane.

HP 6600 Scan\Print Driver Issue for Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

Hello,
For some time now I have been unable to scan or print from my desktop (Windows 7 Professional 64bit) and I have exhausted too much effort and am now bringing it to the masses.
The problem:
Printing: Currently receiving an "Error - Offline" message in my printer queue at all times.
Scanning: Scanning has never fully worked on this desktop. I am always unable to communicate with the printer. (Though webscan works through accessing the printers IP address)
Things I have tried:
Ran HPPSDr, followed directions (Unpluged power to printer, turn back on, restart computer) brings me to this website after it cannot fix. (Note that while the HPPSDr is running it always notions that there is a driver problem)
Uninstalled Drivers from CD-ROM, re-installed, countless times
Installed "Windows 7 Pro 64 bit drivers" from the HP website and uninstalled, countless times.
Attempted to set a static IP and use "Update IP Address" to point specifically at the printers IP.
Installed Drivers and finding the printer myself through it's own static IP address.
Turned off firewall and attempted to print (after reboot), same errors
Setting up the printer on all of my laptops (3) wirelessly to attempt to find if there is a problem with the printer or static IP. (1 is Windows VISTA 32bit and the other 2 are Ubuntu 32bit). All laptops are able to use the printer wirelessly without any problems.
Read all of the forums about this issue and attempted all of the 'solutions'. Although I mostly don't see that anyone with this same problem is resolved, unless I'm missing the perfect post.
Things I have not tried:
Plugging the USB directly into the desktop. (This seems self defeating as the purpose for this printer was to be able to print wirelessly to it from across the room)
Re-installed Windows 7 Pro 64bit (Trying to avoid this, would rather just print from laptops)

Curiosities:
I have noticed strange things that make me believe the driver is somehow incomptable with my OS. Here is a shot of the properties of the printer:
Weird that it is not recognizing the model number.
Also in the Printer Settings when I go to the port tab, there is no port selected, if I try and tab away it forces me to select a port, yet when I do and 'apply' and then re-open the Printer Settings in the ports tab; it has again unselected the previously selected port.
Theories:
I feel like my OS is just refusing to notice the IP address for the wireless printer, no matter what I have it set to, even if it's dynamic. It's like the driver for Windows 7 Pro 64bit is actually not the correct driver for my system.
Anyways, another thing to mention is that I am not currently willing to wipe my operating system and re-install Windows 7 Pro in order to resolve this just yet. I want to see if anyone else has any other avenues I can try before even beginning to consider that.

I understand you are having an issue with HP 6600 Scan\Print Driver Issue for Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
First try to click the Windows icon, type services in the Search box, and then click or tap View Local Services. Scroll down to the Windows Installer. Startup type should be - Automatic, and Service Status should be - started
Restart the computer after this step and try installing Hp Officejet 6600 again.

Printer (Driver) issue only after reinstalling 10.6.8

For some reason since I reinstalled my mac os (I transferred everything from time machine and did the updates, including a printer driver update) after my printer has been idle, it can't be found by my computer. In theory there's nothing wrong with my wireless router, as everything possible with that has been tried and failed to resolve the issue. When I go into the console logs, I get these errors, always together, every ten seconds or so:

If I put my computer to sleep with a print job in the que, when the computer wakes up it will connect, but will then stop immediately after that transfer, where if I try to print something, it says the printer is offline and can't find the printer. The same is true with the connecting if I turn off the printer and turn it back on - whatever's in the que will print. But once it goes idle for more than a few seconds, I'm screwed. I'm at my wits end with this. I've called Belkin (maker of my router), HP, maker of my printer (it's an HP CP1525NW that's having the issue), etc. and no resolution. Also, when my computer tells me that it can't find the printer, it has no trouble connecting to the internet as I can find the printer if I open it's IP address in safari or firefox, and play on farmtown in FB all I want, but the print que/utility will NOT find the printer. Please help me. Thank you in advance if your advice is helpful/almost helpful.
Another thing I found was this in my console: 9/12/11 10:58:50 AM          mDNSResponder[18]          Client application bug: DNSServiceResolve(HP\032LaserJet\032CP1525nw\032(843086)._ipp._tcp.local.) active for over two minutes. This places considerable burden on the network.
I'm confused as to whether this means anything. The HP laserjet cp1525nw (843086) is what my computer calls my printer when it's wireless; the wired (usb) one doesn't have the (843086) after it.
And one other thing - if I search this very same error on google, the only thing that will come up is someone having trouble with a brand new MBP with the screen flickering and the graphics device switching. For whatever reason when the person got rid of HP from their user logs or something the flicker issue went away but they started seeing this very same series of errors. My screen is fine except for the fact that sometimes when it comes out of sleep the screen will go black. I've had that problem for a long time, it doesn't happen very often (thank God), and while this has been going on (before the reinstall), I had NO trouble with my printer. Nothing seems to make sense.

One other thing I forgot to mention. If I hook the printer up using a usb cable, it prints fine without issues.

Printer Driver issue

I am using printer HP4000X to generate PCL files. This is an PCL6 printer(HP LaserJet 4000/4000N (PCL6)). When I compiled IFD, i have checked this printer to generate MDF file.
When i generate PCL file in Adobe central with this MDF file and a dat file, the PCL file is getting generated, but an error file is also generated along with this saying "[247]Printer Driver `hp4000x' has not been compiled into this MDF.". Can anyone please help me on this. I don't want this error file to get generated.

Hi, I am running into the same issue using Central5.7linux. I have compiled my template with only two test fields and I have made the .dat file very simple, yet, I am getting the same error:

Does anyone have any suggestions? I have even tried removing the Lexmark print driver option by running setup.exe and I still get this error. I'm not sure how I can be running into this error when I create a brand new .mdf with two fields on it.

No Office 2010 64 bit support and printer driver issues

I have been using Adobe Acrobat Pro 8 for about 2.5 years. Whenever I upgrade my laptop I usually upgrade most of the software I use including Adobe Acrobat Pro. This time I didn't see a need so I installed Acrobat Pro 8 again.
When I did, it no longer had integration with my upgraded Microsoft Office 2010. It also had an issue that every time I printed something to the Adobe PDF printer driver, the dialog box to select a filename would show up behind the application I was using (such as Firefox). Then when the PDF was generated and opened for preview, it also ended up behind the application I was printing from.
I chalked these issues up to using a version of Acrobat that came out before Windows 7 and before Office 2010. So I went out and reluctantly purchased the upgrade. All the marketing material said it was compatible with both.
Well, absolutely nothing has changed. It still doesn't work with Office 2010 because I'm using Office 2010 64bit, and still opens the dialogs behind the application I'm printing from. Almost every laptop comes with Windows 7 64bit and using Office 2010 64bit should not be something I can't do just to get support from an Adobe product.
If there is any workaround for the Adobe dialogs coming up behind the application I'm trying to print from, I'd love to hear it. I would have happily asked Adobe for a solution but I guess they don't offer any type of email support, chat support, or phone support unless you pay through the nose. Or maybe I just didn't see any way after clicking through all the screens under Help on their website.

For 7.0 and 7.5 it will not be supported. It will be supported for BPC 10.

Help with PDF Printer Driver Issues?

My pdf printer driver is no longer working - I have CS3. It actually doesn't work in any CS3 program. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the entire suite, and it will just put in a (copy) which also doesn't work. I CAN save as pdf, but I can't print to pdf in any design program. And of course it's all been working perfectly up until now, and I've tried going in through control panel, etc. Usually it just says "Unable to print Illustration" in Illustrator, but I saw one message flash that talked about print spooling - couldn't read it all before it was gone.
Has anyone else seen this issue? Any idea what to do? I desperately need to print to pdf.

Hi Mike,
I didn't try uninstalling the printer from the fax/print area, so will do that. I have uninstalled all CS3 componants and reinstalled, however, with no improvement. I'll take all the pdf printer/copies out first and try it again. Is there a better place that you know of to download the printer driver separately? I'm not finding that on Adobe by itself. I've just been reinstalling the whole program. (I'm on PC by the way).

HP print driver issue

I am having a problem with an hp printer driver for a hp 8700 using Mountain Lion. The colors are way off when I print using the 'best' or 'photo paper' option but when I print using 'plain paper/normal quality', the colors are fine. Is there a workaround?

Have you asked HP?
You might also ask in the Aperture or iPhoto forum since they tend to do more photo printing.

Indesign print driver issues

using InDesign CC 2014, print driver crashes when adjusting preferences (win 8.1 machine). when using InDesign 64 bit, works fine, but the CC update isn't on the 64 bit version yet so we have file incompatibility between workstations (docs created on the non 64 bit version do not open on the 64 bit version). What are our options?

If you have 64 bit O/S with CC2014 ONLY the 64 bit version should be installed.
And the INDD files are the same no matter 32 or 64 bit version.
Sounds to me like some people are still on CC 9.2.2 and some are on CC2014 10.0

Epson LQ 2180 Printer Driver Issue

Hi all,
I want to install or use Epson LQ 2180 printer driver for sap, but I can't find any suitable printer driver.
I found this note : Note 153879 - EPSON printer model and SAP device types, but it isn't contain any information about model LQ-2180. Also, I can't find sap printer diriver in Epson's web site.
How can I find suitable drivers for this model or which device type can be used for this model?

Print driver issue

Okay, I'm trying to move over to a new iMac and I can't get my printer to work. It's an HP Photosmart 7350. There is a Mac OS X 10.4 driver on the HP Web site. I installed it, but I can't seem to get the Mac Printer Setup Utility to work with it. It -may- not be Intel compatible??? Any suggestions?

You did not need to install a printer driver, it was already part of your OS X 10.4.4 (or newer). All that you needed to do was open System Preferences to Print & Fax and under "Printing" add a printer. If the printer was powered on at the time, it should have been discovered when the "Printer Browser" window then opened. Just select it, and click the "Add" button.

Delete the other one that you previously added, the one that won't work. The correct setup should be automatically detected, nothing needed to be done by you except confirmation clicks and then quitting the open windows.

Printer Driver issue for CM1312nfi MFP

I have a MFP CM1312nfi, which has worked great when using OS Windows XP, recently upgraded to Windows 7 Home Edition and downloaded the complete driver from HP - unable to get the printer to print in anything other than mono. Totally unable to print colour or install the fax device and scanner.
The device worked perfectly on Windows XP but since the upgrade nothing will work apart from basic mono printing.
Anyone else had the same issues and if so what drivers are required to correct this?

If you are printing using HP Universal printing PCL6, right click on it from the Devices and Printers screen and select Properties.
Click the Device Settings tab change the Device Type from Automatic to Color.
Click OK and try printing again.
To fully resolve the issue, a such is likely to be caused due to a conflict with the preinstalled HP UPD drivers on your system, fully removew the software and reinstall it as following:.
First unplug the USB.
From the start menu select Programs > HP > HP Color Laserjet CM1312 and follow the Uninstall.
Once you are done uninstalling, download and follow the HP UPD installer below:

Select USB Mode (Plug and play).
Keep only the 1st checkbox checked to remove any installed UPD driver, Uncheck the 2nd box to reinstall the latest version - that will fully scrub the UPD drivers from your system.
Once the process completes go to Devices and Printers and ensure there are no longer any HP printers exists.
Left click once on any existing printer (e.g. Fax) and select Print Server Properties from the top menu.
Open the Drivers tab and ensure there are no HP drivers exists.
If there are any, delete it by selecting the second option to remove the device and its software.
Once you are done reinstall the latest software and follow the steps to reinstall the software (if you already hae the specific file on your PC simply run it again):

Once the installation prompt to conenct the USB, connect the cable and double click the Installing Device Software icon on the system tray:
From the shown dialog, click the bottom line to skip Windows Update if a such appear and allow it to complete any device installation, once it is complete click on Close and allow the installation to complete.
Now try printing and check for any difference.

Printer Driver issue with iMac & HP 1200 Printer?

A friend has this combination, asked me to help him with a printer problem. The HP 1200 Laserjet shows in the "Printer Setup" window, is the default printer. The printer shows up in the hardware connected to the USB bus. BUT, when you try to print, the application printing goes through its normal print flush to driver. Then the printer icon down on the dock shows "waiting for connection," and times out in that state, never to actually print.
EXCEPT! When the guy unplugs the entire system (not the same for restart) and plugs it back in, the printer works, prints everything in its queue, UNTIL he puts the machine to sleep, then he's stuck again. What is happening? Anyone have a clue?

I would imagine he downloaded the latest driver for the intel based mac. Aside from that you can goto System Preferences > Printer & Fax > Printer setup > Printer setup utility(top of the screen) and reset the Printing system.

Kodak Printer Driver Issue

Hi all,
I have a Kodak ESP 5250 that at first worked fine. However, now when I try to print I get the following error in the print queue:
/Library/Printers/Kodak/AiO_Printers/AiODriver.bundle/Contents/MacOS/commander failed
The ironic thing is that I can print a test page from the Kodak AiO Home Center app, but anything I try to print from the Mac side fails with that error.
Things I have tried is uninstalling and reinstalling the software (several times) and even doing a search for Kodak and removing all folders and preference files.
Short of doing a complete reinstall of Snow Leopard (which is why I left Windows in the first place) is there anything I can do to resolve this?

Error 1402 refers to a non-existent key. Can't install or uninstall to fix printer driver issues.

I can't install or uninstall Acrobat 9.5.3. I keep getting Error 1402, which states that I don't have permission to modify a key that doesn't exist in RegEdit: \UNKNOWN\Components\Lots of numbers. Even Revo Pro can't uninstall it.
I am trying to fix a problem with converting documents from Word. The process stalls because Acrobat can't find its printer drivers. The suggested solution is to uninstall and reinstall. I can't do either.

The dead end is the error message (1402) that Acrobat can't modify the key: UNKNOWN/Components/Lots of numbers. It lacks permission. The process stops and rolls back all changes. However, this weird key can't be found using RegEdit.
I'm using Windows 7 Home Pro 64-bit. I can't find any PDF*.dll files in System 32 or SysWow64. How can I put them there?

Redirected printers using Remote Desktop Easy Print driver work only once during session

Hello all
We are running Windows Server 2012 R2 Remote Desktop Services Sessions hosts with printer redirection allowed using only the Easy Print Driver, we have no other drivers installed on the servers. All client printers are redirected and can print fine, but
only once per session! We have tested with several different client printers and they all work a single time in each session. After that the user needs to log off and then back on again to be able to print once again, but only once. Needless to say, our users
are annoyed. If I look at the c:\windows\system32\spool\printers folder while jobs are printing, but failing, I can see the spool files appearing and disappearing as jobs are spooled. No errors in the event logs accompany the behaviour. Our clients are running
Windows 7, 8 and 8.1. All exhibit the same problem. The error looks a little like what is described here:

While similar, this problem describes a scenario where Easy Print is not used, but XPS is, and since Easy Print is based on XPS and the behaviour is very similar, I am tempted to make a connection.
I have checked all the usual stuff with permissions etc, and no manufacturer provided drivers are present. The problem appears on newly installed systems as well as one that have been running for some time. Restarting the spooler services does not resolve
the problem. Actually I do not think it is related to the spooler service or driver framework at all, but rather is an Easy Print driver issue that is occurring much later in the process, if not I would see some errors in the logs and no jobs would print at
all.
Anyone ever heard of something like this?

Hi Morgan,
Based from your description, users can only print once during single RDP session, I suggest you check if this issue also happens locally.
In addition, after the first print attempt, does any other issue exist on the RDP session?
Is the server fully patched? If there are any available driver updates, please also apply them. If there are any third party software installed, try disable/uninstall them to see if the issue persists.
You can also enable print auditing to get more detailed information about this issue.
