Max load of carrier vs shipment weight

Hi,
I need to ceate a shipment using BAPI_SHIPMENT_CREATE.
How can I check that maximum load of carrier is compatable with shipment weight?

This was resolved by implementing exit EXIT_SAPLV54K_001, which allows to perform you own calculations to distribute the cost.

OSB vs SOA- which one can take max load in terms of req/resp traffic

Hi,
I have few basic questions about load taking capacity of OSB and soa.
1. Is there any oracle doc stating how much traffic OSB or SOA components(bpel, mediator etc.) can take in terms of request/response per hour with certain infrastructure?
2. Diff in java callout in bpel and in osb?
3. Which one is more stable product in high load situation eg. 2 lac req/resp per hour.
4. Is there a link between number of javacallouts and performance in OSB and in SOA.

Interesting challenge... As I said before it's unlikely you will find stats as you want, this type of study is very particular to a use case, platform and infrastructure... There's no generic magical number...
I can say that OSB is lightweight and scalable and I would be surprised if it would become a bottleneck if running in a well dimensioned hardware... The bottleneck is typically at the external system... I also believe that if you add SOA Suite in the picture you will be adding overhead rather than enhancing performance, you should add SOA Suite if you need capabilities like audit, traceability, recovery and so on that you won't have with OSB alone... There's an old study on the link bellow but I'd doubt it would apply for your case, but may be helpful anyway...

Dimensioning hardware is always a challenge... I recommend you to write a typical service and a worst scenario service and use a tool like jmeter to test how much throughput you can get from your infrastructure... Java callouts and complex xml transformation processing are points to be highlighted... Use a clustered OSB topology so you can easily add new nodes if needed...

Ordinary fan speed with max load?

Hi all,
I did a search and couldn't find anything so I figured I'd start a new topic so I hope this hasn't been answered before.
First of all, I decided I wanted to start gaming on Win7 in boot camp (3.0) for the first time yesterday, so I installed and started up CounterStrike: Source, initially I was getting 70+fps on all levels, but after a while my framerate would suddenly drop to ~17fps, and the laptop felt very warm (and the fan didn't seem to be spinning much faster than the standard 2000rpm).. A few topics I found said that Windows doesn't seem to be able to control the fan speed and recommended installed smcFanControl (which I'm now using). First off, I was wondering if someone could confirm if this is true? (And is this the same with Vista/XP too?)
Second, I decided that if I were to set a fan speed in smcFanControl, that I would want to be sure that it is capable of removing the heat from the computer, so I decided to run a few tests to see what the standard spinning speed was when the computer was running at 100% (Both cores of the CPU), so I ran 'yes > /dev/null' twice in the command line (once for each core), and I realised that the fan on my MBP (I only have one since I have the 13") didn't really increase from the default 2000rpm until the temperature had reached the late 90˚'s C.
(Both temp and speed measured with iStat/smcFanControl)
I was wondering if this is standard for everyone else? (It seems a little late to just start increasing the fan speed; I'd assume that they'd increase with speed linearly as the temperature rose to keep the laptop at a constant temperature.). So, when does everybody else's fan suddenly kick in? (Mine kept a constant 97˚C afterwards and the fans were running at around 5400rpm - they didn't seem to reach the max 6200rpm that the fan is capable of in a 10min test.) - Although they did reach highs of as much as 101˚C.
When the laptop had cooled down (idling), I decided to run the test again, this time setting the minimum fan speed at 6200rpm and the laptop didn't seem to get much hotter than 85˚C. Surely it would be better if Apple had the fans running at max to keep the CPU temperature lower than 100˚C.. I mean, if my CPU got to 101˚C with the fans still at 5400rpm, when would they reach the max 6200rpm, considering that the CPU is only rated for a maximum temperature of 105˚C?
I'm not complaining, I love my MBP to bits and I think Apple have done a pretty good job designing them and OS X, but I do just wonder if there's either something wrong with mine (or is this the standard for everyone?), or if Apple should perhaps have the fans come on a little sooner to take away the excess heat.

TPVS - Minimum resource load constraint

We are in APO 4.1 version and TPVS optimizer is being used to consolidate/schedule shipments . We have two kind of vehicle resources assigned to Transportation lane via MOT. They are Vehicle type -A with maximum capacity 10 Tons and Vehicle type-B with 30 Tons maximum capacity . Our business expects whenever sum of fright units weight comes less than or equal to 10 Tons on given route/Zone customers , then optimizer should load those shipmetss only into Vehicle type-A or Vehicle type -B should get loaded only when total shipment weight exceeds 10 Tons . I am aware optimizer works purely based total cost optimisation by meeting all constraints defined.
My question : Is there any possibility to define minimum weight constraint for vehicle in TPVS or any options. (Have explored compatibility some extend, but it couldnu2019t help me)

Hi Rajesh,
The requirement is to load 10 tns on MOT A and above 10 tns on MOT B.
There is something in cost profile called "Cost functions and Load cost" tab.
Define Load cost like the below:
10 MOT-A 0 to 10 Tons less cost
> 10 Tns very high cost
20 MOT-B 0 to 10 Tons Very high cost
> 10 tns less cost
As it is cost based optimization, Optimizer always selects less cost solution.

User exist at loading start for shipment txn (VT02N)

Hi Guru,
May I know is there any user exist at loading start button for shipment transaction (VT02N)? As we need to include some logic to auto generate the value then populate that value into standard SAP fields ( external id field VTTK/EXTI1).
And can we direct update the output value from that user exist to standard SAP fields ( external id field VTTK/EXTI1) in VT02n transaction?

EXIT_SAPLV56F_011 is the place which is activated while setting shipment status (any of these including loading start).
You can manipulate the standard VTTK fields there.

Shipment door should be released at loading end rather shipment completion.

There is a requirment from Business that " Door should be released at Loading end " instead of " shipment end "
is it possible for us to do this through Developement if so how ?
Loading end gets triggered when the last item on the TO is confirmed for the shipment and if we clear the door assignment on the loading end and in the meantime it another truck arrives at gatehouse, there is a possibility that the same door will be assigned to the truck even before the prior truck leaves the door
This is the major fear ,Could this be acived like ..
If so please suggest how this could be done ?

Hi,
If we release the door during the Loading end status, this problem can occur. However inistead of loading end, if the door is released once the shipment status is "Shipment Start", I think it will work fine. At this point of time, anyway the truck also would have left the door and hence the door can be released to be made available for the next truck. There will not be any error in door allocation.

Load cell calibration

Hi there,
New to Labview. Working on a little college assignment and am looking for a little bit of help. I have a micro load cell hooked up to a myDAQ and I'm attempting to calibrate it to get a make-shift weighting scales. I have attached my vi below. So far I have been able to calibrate it to an extent, but the precision is quite poor. It seems to fluctuate +/- 30 grams. I've been told that the error on the load cell is +/- 5g so I would like to get it a little closer to that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Add a (INAXXX) ampifier with 100 to 400 times amplification ...
The rated output is 1mV/V so you get 5mV at max load and you also need to measure the exitation voltage .. the myDAQ spec tells that it's not exactly 5V ....
If you can't use an external amplifier, use the analog inputs in differential mode and 2V range, and use three 2.2k resistors to divide down (1/3) the supply voltage.
use a low samplerate (twice your line freq) mean as much samples as possible.
Assuming that the supply is only slowly drifting, measure the supply only (50 samples), sensor only (100 samples), and supply again (50 samples)
Mean the supply and the senor output and use the ratio (U_mean_sensor/U_mean_supply) for your calibration

Automatic weight stack lifter

I would like to make a automatic weight stack lifter that could be used to automagically calibrate hanging weigh scales.
The basic idea is the have a hangar that is connected to a in line hanging weigh scale which is connected in line to a lifter (located at the highest point in the system) . The lowest position of the lifter would be considered "zero". The lifter will rise and the bottom hangar plate would come into contact with a pre-positioned calibrated slotted weight that is resting in a scaffold like configuration (lifting that weight off of the scaffold would essentially apply a load to the scale)... the process will continue until full scale is reached.
Vertical Movement (to be able to precisely control up and down placement of weight)
Range of Movement - about 1.5 foot (guessing)
Max Load - 1000 lbs
I would like to be able to create a labview program that would allow the user to easily control the weight that is applied (basically an absolute position controller).
Does anyone have suggestions on a lifting unit / manufacturer that could easily interface with labview and allow for "live" control of the lifter ?

All weights, lifting rod would be centered, so there would be minimal torque. There will be linkage mechanism between the top and bottom of the load cell to aid in eliminate allignment issues / torques.
How fast does it
need to move?
unknown, for load cell testings: to go from 0 to full scale within a minute, but provided that it doesnt "jarr" things too much
How long does it wait between positions?
All timing could be determined by the output of the cell. that is why I would like to have control of the linear actuator directly.
I havent checked into Ravens Fan suggestion yet...

How do i use Arrays and For Loops in Loading Multiple Images?

I am struggling to load a sequential array of images to appear like a moving image. So when u click the button the images load one after the other.
The code below is what i have so far, but it fails to do what i seek in that there's only one image loading which is the last image in the array, so either because the images are stacking up atop each other, or because i simply dont understand the basics...
And, i am unclear about what you said kglad, that my solution will be more complicated because i need to preload my image sequence and then use a loop to load it?

New I pad won't load certain web pages unless I clear cache and history every time

This is the scinario I am getting, and it's getting worse. I am actually writing this on my other I pad as the new one won't load this page!!!! Not happy!
Lets say I'm on e bay searching stuff and suddenly it won't load any more pages from the search results. I can open a new tab and load other sites so the internet is working, but at this instant i cannot look at any eBay pages on the new I pad.
I go into settings and clear browsing history and the cookies, go back into safari and I can now load eBay and view the page that wouldnt load before. Sometimes this method will work for an hour, sometimes only 2-3 mins.
This fault is happening more and more frequently, I was on yahoo earlier reading news. Then the page wouldn't load. Couldn't load previous page either exactly the same as with eBay.
So I go on apple.com.au and sign in to support to ask them. Page won't load . GRRRR!
Clear the cache etc and it's fine for a few mins then the same so I am writing this off our old I pad 1, using the Internet tethered from the new iPad that wouldn't load this page
It's happening more and more I don't know if it's a problem with Telstra or with the I pad? Is this a common problem?
I have tried Mercury browser and Terra browser and the fault remains.
Seems to be on any website it can happen now.
And now when it does, I can't check e mail, load maps, carry out speed tests anything Internet related.
I can tether the I pad and it works fine on my old one.
Maybe faulty I pad?

Data display - aligning group data and carry over on new page logic - 11G

I am fairly new to BI Publisher, so any help would be much appreciated. I am working with a standard pdf form to display Purchase Order Data. I have saved the image of the pdf as the background of the page. I have a simple table where I am inserting all the data and aligning it on the page so it appears to be in the correct place on the form.
The form has a section containing 10 blank lines to display the PO data. Each line is .25 inches.
The problem occurs that at the line description can have 254 characters but the space on the line allows for 51 characters. So I need to display the data something like this (for simplicity sake)

anything that carries over needs to go to a second page with a different background image. So I have several questions.
1. Any suggestions on how to display the PO Line, so I can substring the PO line description and display the remaining data on a following line? A second line would write the next 51 characters of data if it exists, and would not display the first column, (TableA.Id)
2. Any suggestions on how to load the carry over data (anything over the 10 lines on the first page) and display on the following page.
I am including a screen shot so this might make more sense. I have lightly dashed orange lines showing of my table which I use for aligning the data. It is only for reference.

Ok, just in case anyone runs into the same issue. Here was my solution.
I added a made up record to the existing xsd template that served as a place holder for my dynamic content.
I created an app package that has two properties.
1. Full String
2. Single Line String
The Method takes in the column width as a parameter. It searches through the Full String until it finds the last available word before the column width. It then returns that as the Single Line String and updates the Full String to what's remaining.
If I have any of the Full String remaining I keep calling the method.
I can provide more specific details about the method if anyone needs it.

Transfer of Delivery Dates to Shipments

I've read SAP Library in the shipment, there's feature for transfering of delivery dates to shipments :
The system propose shipment dates and times from the delivery.There are two methods to choose from:
1.Standard default
When this indicator is set, dates and times are copied from deliveries into the shipment. There are a few rules that apply to standard defaults. First, the loading date and time in the delivery becomes check-in time and loading start in the shipment. The delivery's planned goods-issue time becomes the loading end, shipment completion and transportation start time for the shipment. If the goods-issue date and time (loading time) is unclear in the delivery, the latest goods issue date that appears in the delivery is copied into the shipment. The delivery date and time is copied into the shipment's transportation end.
2.You can create your own copy routine to use for date and time defaults by using the flexible default option.
I don't have any clue how to use the first method.
Any gurus can help me bout this?

Hi,
The rules that you want to apply are setup at shipment type definition in SPRO.
There you can find field 'copy routine' which includes the code copying data from deliveries into shipments.
Standard SAP routine is 008 (FV56C008) that includes simple logic as you specified.
Naturally you can copy this one into your custom code that you can also assign for your shipment types.

845 PE-Max "NEW" Bios Flash "does it really fix the temp readings?"

So MSI has been having problems with there Temp readings on there boards. So I was surprised to see that they just released a bios update to correct this issue. Of course I couldn't wait to download and flash the bios and see what effect it had. Everything went well, I popped into windows and (I'm testing Intel's stock HSF currently) and my temps dropped drastically????? Now this can't be correct either...
Motherboard: 32c
CPU: 29c
Case 23c
Now remember this is with the retail P4 2.53 HSF. With the new bios flash it shows a cooler temp than my Spark 7. And the Intel is only running at 2400RPM. Before the bios flash with the Intel HSF:
Motherboard: 33c
CPU: 40c

Well ran another test last night. Ran a CPU Burn-In test for 30 Minutes and the temp only hit 45c during the test. Obviously the new BIOS is incorrect. I find it impossible that the retail HSF on my P4 2.53GHz can keep it below 50c under max load. My Tt Spark 7 with Artic Silver II only kept it at 37c idle. I'm reading 28c Idle now using the retail HSF.
