Max users for a chatroom seems to be 30?

Running 10.5.8, iChat Server. I have a chatroom that seems to max out at 28-30 users. I tried creating a "persistent room" using a jabber script, but it still seems to max out at 30 users even though I specified 100. Is there any way to modify this? Surfing config data for jabberd2 seems to be pretty sparse on info for this, same with the documents for muc.

My searches behave a little differently.  Maybe this will be helpful.
I have some messages from numeric sources.  Say one of them is 12345678.  I find that if I search for "1234", I can find the message, even though 12345678 never appears in the body of the text.  But if I search for some string not at the beginning of the message, like "4567" or "5678", I cannot find it.
So the conclusion seems to be search for a string at the start of the name.

  • Max users for a AIR-LAP1142-A-K9

    I work at a small University where are are moving from a hitspot infrastructure (just provide wireless access)  to dense user support model in order to use wireless during classrrom instruction.  It have a request to provide wirless coverage in a classroom for up to 30 users.  I have installed a Lap-1142 in the hall just overisde of the classroom last semister which provided wireless access for about 12 students.  The class enrollment has grown and now will need to support up to 30 users.  I just install a C3560G-POE to provide 1GB uplink for the switch. The instructed stated she will require students to download pdf files and some streaming media during class and I was asked if the wireless will be able to support this requirement.
      I am not sure how many concurrent users a LAP-1142 can support and if it can can it support streaming media for 30 users.  How would I go about testing this senairio? How can one test AP throughput?  How do I ensure it will work during class with having to place another AP within the classroom?
    Thank you for your help.
    Mike

    Where could I located Cisco's 25 user limit recommendation
    If you have an autonomous AP, then there's no need to worry.  It's just a rule-of-thumb.  If it's controller-based then it's:
    Wireless > 802.11a/n (or 802.11b/g/n) > General and look at "Clients (1 to 75)".

  • Implementing max user sessions settings for TACACS with ACS 5.3

    I'm a little confused about the configuration of max user sessions for device administration with TACACS.
    When I've changed the configutration of unlimited sessions for a value in Access Policies > Max User Session Policy > Max Session User Settings
    I think this value could limit the maximum number of sessions for each user, but instead this value limit in a global meaning all of my sessions.
    For example: I need to limit the session for my users in 2.
    user1 = Max 2 sessions
    user2 = Max 2 sessions
    user3 = Max 2 sessions
    Whe i Put the value of 2 in Max Session User Settings
    user1 + user2 + user3 = Max 2 sessions
    This is a limitation of ACS 5.3 or my configuration needs something aditional.

    Luis,
    Are you saying that when you authenticate with user1 and user 2 that user3 isnt able to get access?
    Do you have tacacs accounting enabled on the network access device?
    Also what do you have configured for the group settings? If there is a maximum group setting and all the users are a member of the same group then the lesser of the two will be enforced. So if the group max sessions is set to 1 then the all users in that group will have a max session of 1.
    Here is some reference material.

  • Selecting max date for specific 'operation' code

    I have the following scenario: a history table that keeps track of the 'operation' and the date of the operation. For example, the operation field can have a code of U (for update), C (for closed), O (for re-opened), A (for approved), etc.
    The goal of this history table is to keep track of all of the modifications made. Hence, a particular record of interest can have more than one 'U' operation documented, C operation, etc.
    How can I choose the max date for each operation.
    I was diong the following in my PL/SQL:
    BEGIN
    SELECT operation_code, o_date, user INTO lv_operation_code, lv_date, lv_user FROM table1 WHERE unique_id = pv_id AND operation_code = U' AND o_date = (SELECT max(o_date) FROM table1 WHERE unique_code = pv_id);
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN NO_DATA_FOUND THEN NULL;
    END;
    I then have another begin statement for the 'C' operation, etc.

    Instead of doing a single SELECT with something like "operation_code = 'U'" in the WHERE-clause, you could write a cursor with "GROUP BY operation_code".

  • Query to find out the time used by an user for an application

    Hello All,
    I want to know the query to find out the whole time used by the user for an application. Please view the below data
    Employee:
    SNO EMP_ID EMP_NAME EMP_DATE LOGIN_TIME LOGOUT_TIME
    1 10 Visu 21-Nov-2010 06:30:00 07:30:00
    2 10 Visu 21-Nov-2010 06:40:00 07:20:00
    3 10 Visu 21-Nov-2010 06:50:00 07:50:00
    4 10 Visu 21-Nov-2010 07:30:00 08:30:00
    5 10 Visu 21-Nov-2010 09:30:00 10:30:00
    By checking the above data we can say that the total time Visu used the application is
    8.30 - 6.30 (From 1,2,3,4 records) = 2hrs
    10.30 - 9.30 (Based on 5th rec) = 1hr
    So the total time Visu used the application would be 3 hrs = 180 mins.
    Could you please help me in getting the result from that data using a query?

  • What's the semantic of "max user processes" (ulimit)

    Hello everyone,
    I don't understand the behaviour of ulimit, have a look at this shell dump:
    $ ps hax | wc -l
    120
    $ ps h -u myUsername | wc -l
    35
    $ ulimit -Su 78
    $ ps h -u myUsername | wc -l
    bash: fork: retry: No child processes
    bash: fork: retry: No child processes
    bash: fork: retry: No child processes
    bash: fork: retry: No child processes
    bash: fork: Resource temporarily unavailable
    $ ulimit -Su 80
    $ ps h -u myUsername | wc -l
    35
    $
    If I am currently running 35 processes, one would assume that >35 more should be sufficient to start two more processes - but obviously it isn't.
    In this case, I needed at least "ulimit -Su 80" to start ps and wc.
    If I set the "max user processes" limit to 79, the first four error messages change from "bash: fork: retry: No child processes" to "bash: fork: retry: Resource temporarily unavailable"
    Can somebody explain this bevahiour to me, please? Why am I not allowed to create new processes, although the limits should be sufficient?

    Apologies for the necro-bump but I hope this will help others.
    ulimit -u does not give you the max number of processes rather it displays the max number of threads.  To list the number of threads a user is currently using:
    ps -L -u myusername | wc -l
    The output from the above two commands can now be compared and allow you to set the appropriate ulimit.

    Could anyone told me how to increas the max user process number in Solaris 11? I tried below as described in https://blogs.oracle.com/hasham/entry/solaris_10_increasing_number_of , but it cannot work.
    set pidmax=60000

    set max_nprocs = 50000

    Perhaps you should work your original forum post:
    Oracle 11g installation fail on Solaris 11 64bit - ORA-00443
    through to a resolution before you complicate things that likely don't apply.
    You make an assumption in that other post about exceeding various maximums. That may be true or it may not be true. Since the installation of a database program seems to be your actual expectation, go work that forum thread instead.

  • Demo users for BPM in Oracle BPM Suite 11.1.1.4 (Patchset 3)

    Hello,
    In the previous release a utility was made available to insert demo users for BPM (demo-community.zip)
    See also
    http://blogs.oracle.com/middleware/2010/07/installing_seeded_users_for_bpm_11113_on_linux.html
    Could I (re)use this utility in order to test BPM with an existing security schema? Or will a changed utility be made available for BPM 11.1.1.4 (PS3)?
    Regards Léon

    I used this on 11.1.1.4, running the ant script and using a customized input file ( -Dinput.file=... ) and it seemed to work fine.

    I checked the user id and the organization id, and there are both correct (in the database). The user id "fb56b107-949f-df11-a1b0-00237df0351e " is actually the internal CRM System User.
    What could the issue be?
    Can anyone help, please. Thanks

    Are you sure, the User which you are assigning is in the same organisaion. It seems that the Orgname which you are specifying is not correct. and the web service is pointing to other user which is not the current ms crm organisaion.
    Could you please paste your code here for more details.?

    My needs are relatively simple for my small business:  1)  I need to be able to import years worth of Quicken data into the new program  2)  I need to easily print checks  3)  I need to easily reconcile my checking account each month and  4)  I need to generate basic reports for my accountant (e.g. P & L statements, category summaries).
    I have been a FileMaker user since 1.0 so I don't need (or want) A/R, A/P, inventory management, invoicing, etc.
    I just need a solid, dependable electronic checkbook per above.
    Suggestions?

    I would recommend you continue with Quicken Essentials.  As noted by others, it performs well on Yosemite.
    My personal experience is Quicken 2007 for Mac also on 10.7.5 (with many reports of it both updated and successfully running on Yosemite) and I personally would not touch Quicken Essentials with a 10 foot pole -- BUT, if it ain't broke for you, don't fix it!

    Not sure what you mean by "max user session", but since you mention sql code, then I have to think that you mean database sessions. If so, you can check out SESSIONS parameter :

    If you mean something different, please clarify.

  • How to set physical min/max values for a scale in xy graph?

    Hello,
    I have troubles with the way LabView handles physical units in xy graphs. In particular, I use a time scale for the x axis.
    The values are timestamps and have the unit [s]. Now I want to read write the min max values for this scale via
    property nodes. It seems that the properties for min max do not support the use of the unit I use for the data for
    that same axis. This is very inconvenient and I am not even sure which kind of data to use at all for this properties.
    Is it simply converting to/from [s] using the unit converter?
    (I am using LabView 7.1 for the programm in question).

    What are the units you are using? can you make it a littlebit clear.
    You can change the units also using Property node.
    Just check the attachment once. If that is what you are looking for, then the problem is solved.
    Regards

    hi
    in OVA8, there maintain the maximum document value as required.
    If not then you need to take help of ABAPer
    With the help of ABAper you need to prepare a logic for this maximum order value.
    Then Go to sales order user exit userexit_save_document_prepare there u insert logic with the help of abaper.
    Based on logic created by ABAPer, while saving the sales order it will check this logic and throw out the error if it exceeds max value
