Maximum Content Size

Dear all
what is maximum of content size allowed in the request and is there any way to increase th size of the request content size.
because iam doing one application which allows users to enter unlimited size of charecters,if the enter very large number of characters than the value not inserted in the database. please suggest me.

There is no limitation, but according to your problem description, I think you actually mean the size of the query string. In case of GET you're dependent on the webbrowser and the appserver used. Usually this limit vary between 256 and 2048 characters. In case of POST this is less or more unlimited (although some servers will complain when you exceed 2GB~4GB).
So your problem is probably more that you used GET to submit a form. Don't do that, better use POST for this.

    if you don't need to access the entire content of the message, you can try using content streaming
    (see this OSB - Iterating over large XML files with content streaming discussion)

    Otherwise I have noticed myself that OSB is very hungry in memory when loading large messages. I had trouble even with a 5 MB binary file being loaded - this would take 500 MB RAM. in these cases I would rather look for ETL tools such as Oracle Data Integrator or Open Source Pentaho.

    1)any idea like the maximum file size PI 7.1 can handel if there is no File Content conversion .Say if PI is working like a FTP server ..
    if there is anymothed to calculate it  in MB.. ?
    2)Bacause i have a Flat file of size 400 MB .once i activate the sender communication channel it gets struck ..pls let me know how can i handel this file of 400 MB .. ?   customer is looking for some method to handel this .. ?

    The best solution to handle this type of requirement is Using JAVA proxy only,write logic to split the file 10mb only,becaus its not advisable to process more than 10mb files,even SAP say they tested with 1gb.
    i had experiece the same in one yeay back,we resolved using JAVA proxy,how to split the file is just take number of lines or try to fine other way...

  • Is there a Maximum file size limit when combining pdf files

    I am trying to combine files 8 PDF files created with i Explore using Acrobat XI Standard, the process is completed but when opening the file not all 8 individual files have been combined only the first two have been combined, the process shows all eight being read and combined.
    I can open and view each of the original 8 individual files and read the content without any issue, the largest of the eight files is 15,559kb and the smallest is 9,435kb
    if anyone can assist that would be most appreciated

    This should not have happened as there is no maximum file size limit when combining PDFs.
    Please let me know if there are some password protected PDFs also?
    Also, I would suggest you to choose 'Repair Acrobat Installation' option from the Help menu.

    Is there a way to change the maximum project size? I have an index of images on a drive, broken into folders, and I want them all in the same project.

    No ... 10,000 is the limit ...
    why not store each folder (from your hd) as a project and put those within blue folders ...
    this way, clicking on a higher level folder will show all contents of all projects within it ...

    What is the maximum folder size now in 10.5.2?
    For around 10 years I've been using numerous partitions to organize my files and for easy backup, but I know that quite a while ago (years) the maximum folder size was dramatically increased (2GB > ?).
    Has anyone had problems with these larger folders?
    My files are extremely important (clients' files) so safety and stability are more important to me than anything else (i.e. the simplicity of fewer partitions perhaps).
    Of course I could simply do a search for specs regarding this on Apple's website, but it would not indicate as to just how stable such huge folders have been for everyone.

    And I did carefully read the Apple white paper but still no where do I see a maximum folder size for within a volume
    So I can only assume there is no maximum... that is... that you can actually have literally all of your files and folders in a volume within one folder even if it takes up 90% of the volume's/partition's space.
    I originally posted this because rather than reformatting a couple of my hard drives... I was considering moving a couple of the partitions contents (each with around 40 GB of important files) to a larger partition and place each partition's contents in to individual folders. In-other-words... moving two 40 GB partitions to two separate folders within another 100 GB + partition. Thereby freeing up two 40 GB partitions without having to reformat my drives.
    Anyone see a problem with that?

    What is the maximum line size inthe report.Some are saying 1023.Some are saying 255 characters.I am full confusing this concept.
    And if the line size mentiones in less than the length of the data in the write statement ,what happened?

    The line width determines the number of characters in the line buffer as well as the number of columns in the list displayed. The value width must be a positive numeric literal. The maximum line width is 1,023 characters.
    When the LINE-SIZE is not specified, the line width of the basic list is set to a standard width based on the window width of the current Dynpro, but is at least as wide as a standard size SAP window. For the standard width, the contents of sy-linsz is 0. The LINE-SIZE overwrites the value of the like-named LINE-SIZE addition to the statement SUBMIT and can be overwritten during list creation with the like-named LINE-SIZE addition to the statement NEW-PAGE.
    For screen lists, you should use the standard value since, as a rule, page breaks defaulted through LINE-COUNT are not adjusted to the window size.
    You should also use the standard value for print lists, so that you can still select the page size on a printer-specific basis. A print list should be created in such a way so that it can handle every page size.
    Specifying a fixed line count is only useful for form-type lists with a fixed page layout. Here, however, you should always check whether such forms can be created by other means, such as SAPScript forms.
    when line size is more than your data... your ouput screen will be dragging after all your output display..So bettery ou should use the standard value .

  • Maximum pane size???

    Hi!
    A have a lot of problems, because I can't set maximum pane size? Here is an example of it. I have image control that is bigger than screen resolution, so I have to enable vertical and horizontal scrollbars, but then user can scroll into "infinity"and I don't want that, because I have other controls that user must not see. I know that I can achive that with Scrollbar control, but it will be much easier if you could set maximum pane size and place other controls out of this area, so that user can not see them. It is also anoing if you scroll into blank area of the pane, so it will be great if I can limit this scrolling area. If I use Scrollbar control then I have to resize them too when window size is changed. Does anybody know better way to achive that?

    Hi Adnan,
    I'm believe that guys are right when they say that there is no way to just set the limits you will be able to scroll in. Maybe if you didn't use upper recommendation, you can keep reading rectangle displayed by your front panel pane (Content Area Rect or Origin property), and you can compare actual values with maximum values. This solution is far not so elegant as it is the one with Image Control Scrolbars, however it offers you some flexibility more since it is not related just to Image Control.

  • IMovie11 maximum project size

    Does anyone know what the maximum file size is for an iMovie11 project?  I have one that is over 2 hours and I can't publish it to iTunes.  I cut it in half and it still didn't work, so I'd like to see if someone can shorten my learning curve and just tell me what time limit it can not exceed.

  • AIR for Android maximum screen size?

    Hey folks!
    Sorry if this question was already made here, but I couldn't find. Does anyone know if  AIR for Android has a maximum screen size for apps? I have this app developed for 1080p resolution, and my device (CS918 with Rockchip RK3188) is set to 1080p as well. But when I run it through FlashDevelop debug, it downsizes to 720p, still showing in fullscreen. My AIR is version 14.0.
    Maybe it's my device, but since I don't have any other Android devices to test, I can't tell yet.

    What you say about fullscreen isn’t correct. That just dictates whether the status bar is showing or not.
    The thing that controls how the stage is scaled is stage.scaleMode. The default value is “showAll”, and under that the stage will scale up so that either the height of the stage fills the height of the dvcid, or the width fills the width, depending on the ratio of the stage and the device.
    “noBorder” is another useful mode. You could design a 14:9 stage and have content near the edges that isn’t vital. The stage would then scale to fill the screen, but would allow some content to go off the edges. It’s easy to support a range of devices, from 4:3 to 16:9, with that single 14:9 stage.
    Some people use “noScale”, and then do all the mathematics themselves to get the contents of the stage to scale correctly. I just let Flash do that for me!
    What moonlight says about calculating the pixels that are visible on a given device is true, and useful. Here’s my function for finding out where the top of the stage falls on the current device:

  • Project Exceeds Maximum Content Duration? - Help!

    Have a new Dual G5 iMac and running iMovie HD 6.0. I've just finished editing a graduation video that is 97 minutes in length and 5.35 GB in size. When I attempt to burn after creating a iDVD intro theme, I get the message that "the project exceeds maximum content duration. To burn a DVD change the encoder settings to best quality."
    Of course I have changed the setting, but the same message keeps appearing. I thought I had 2 hours worth of space? Making the video any shorter is not an option.
    Can anyone help me get this burned and out to my graduates?

    To repair disk permissions, go to your Applications folder, Utiltities folder then open Disk Utility. In there you will find buttons for check disk permissions and repair disk permissions. Just click on the repair one. This sort of sets a lot of stuff back to where they should be and it is generally recommended that you repair permissions, at the very least, after you install anything new. Some people do it before and after an install. And in general once in a while is a good idea. I always do it before I go to burn a new DVD with iDVD. Repairing permissions takes a couple minutes.

    Is there any way to get rid of this dumb lenght restriction??? I never put them on DVDs, so lenght or size of data doesn't matter. Any one know of another program that doesn't have this crummy restriction??
    To Export movie files, I simply convert them to VIDEO_TS, and then back to movie files using DVD Ripper. Quicktime Pro has the export option, but it can't handle exporting a lot of videos at the same time with out slowing the computer down, and the Quicktime exported files are way bigger than when I use iDVD and then DVD Ripper to convert them back to a movie file.

    I have tested my Application Client Project in WSAD on my pc and it works fine.
    I have 1gb RAM on my pc. When I deploy the same app on another xp pc(same as mine but 512mb RAM) I get a heap size error. Here is the exact error:

    Don't know why, but the "maximum heap size: 267380736 bytes" value is just slightly less than 256*1024*1024, wheras the reported initial size is equal to that.
    Try setting the initial value to 255MB.

    That's great when using SQL Dev.
    But I also have a trouble that how to change font size, maximum column size in the result screen ?
    My users think that font in result screen is shown very small, and whenever the data in each colum is long then it's not shown full data in column, they must double click for extend the size. Have the option to default the max size for showing full data in each column ? I try but still not to do that .

    You can't change the font for the results screen yet, however you will be able to select an auto-fit option for selected columns, so if some columns have slitghtly wider text you'll be able to set the column widths to handle these wider columns.
    Also, there s the option of switching the layout of a record in the grid.

  • What is an idea of maximum file size for a film in Captivate?

    I'm creating an elearning course in Captivate 7, and it is being published as HTML5. This means the films I've imported are being converted to MP4s, and they are around 10-20mb in size once they've converted. They seem very slow to load on some computers - do you think the file size is too big? Or could it be another issue? Does anyone have a recommendation for maximum file size for films? They are 572 x 322px and around 1-2 mins in length.

    Probably better guidelines that dictates 'size' of a vi are:
    typically no more than 1 video screen in size
    is it legible
    and is it's function and operation clear.
    I have seen examples of '1 vi does it all' that were many screens wide and tall, totally a flustercuck, and nearly 1 MB in size.
    Globals and local variables (except for LV2 style) are typcially shunned for they can create a host of problems (race conditions, indeterminant data).
    Use connector pane to wire controls and indicators to. Then use wires between vi's to transfer data. I tend to use clusters to hold shared data.
