Maximum No of Partition field

When a cube is partitioned and if the maximum number of months value is zero. Does this mean zero partitions or does it actually take the data range for example if partitioned by 0CALMONTH and 6 years than 6 * 12 + 2 (values outside the range) = 74 partitions.

How to find Maximum of a date field using BEx

We are trying to just display the maximum of a date field in a BEx report along with some fixed text .
If we need to create a formula using Maximum function , how to use the same?
For ex, we have a field "Flight Date" in the cube and cube has been updated with flight date till 10.09.2006.
we want to display in the BEx report something like "Flight details are available only till <maximum of the flight date field from the cube>"

Create a formula on the data and then sort the query on the date , that way the latest date would come on top. I am not sure if you can have something the way you have described..
an option could be :
Have a query on the cube with a condition of top date where the date could be a formula , this way you would get the latest date. se this as a value set to filter another query that displays only the date and nothing else , have some static text beside the query to indicate that this is the latest date.

All resides in what is 1K ?
First option (more popular) : 1K=1024, so 1024K = 1024*1024
Second option (less popular) : 1K = 1000, 1024K = 1024*1000

I always thought limit implies to number of actual, not potential partitions, however it looks like I was wrong, although it makes not much sense to limit potential and not actual partitions:

How to find the maximum value among four fields in a single record

Hi Gems...
I have a record in which there are 4 currency fields.
Now i would like to know the maximum of these 4 fields.
I tried with Max functions in which i put all the 4 values...but it is showing error like ") is missing" though it is there.
Can we insert more than 2 values in Max function?
Or else is there any other option to find the max value among the 4 values which lies in a single record

Say suppose i have a single record in which 4 premiums of a particular bond exists.
for eg:
Prem1 Prem2 Prem3 Prem4
129000.00 388000.00 228000.00 14800.00
Now this is a single record for a particular bond ... now i need to calculate the max value among these 4 premiums.
How would we proceed to achieve this?

DATA : v_cnt TYPE i.
SORT ITAB BY salary DESCENDING.
LOOP AT ITAB.
   v_cnt = v_cnt + 1.
IF v_cnt > 2.
      EXIT.
ENDIF.
MOVE : itab-salary to ITAB1.
ENDLOOP.
if you want extract data from database table then slect the data inot internal table and do like above.

I want to use the tab named "partition field\value" in the import manager."Can anyone give me an example or write down the step to require to do the partition or combination.
Whenever I am going to this tab I can't see any field . Available field and partion by FIELDS all are blank.

MDMu2019s partitioning mechanism allows you to combine two or more fields into field combinations and underlying values into a corresponding set of value combinations. Sometimes it may not be possible to directly map individual source fields to individual destination fields because there may not be a direct one-to-one relationship between individual source and destination fields. Instead, the appropriate field mapping relationship may exist between the combinations of two or more source fields. In these cases, fields must be combined to allow the mapping of field combinations rather than individual fields.
Suppose in the Source file there are two fields FName (First Name), LName (Last Name) and in Destination side these two fieldsu2019 needs to be mapped with a single field Name. In this case combine option under partitioning can be used.
Steps for Partitioning:
1.Select the source file in Import Manager
2.Go to Partition Field/Value Tab
3.Select FName and add LName from Available fields to Partition By.
4.Select FName and LName and click Combine there will be a combine field created in Partition By side.
5.Separator between two fields can be se by right click on the combined field and go to set combine delimiter.
6.Go to Map Fields/Values Tab and Map the FName (Partition) to the target Name field.

Maximum availability during partition move

I understand that the Assistant will be able to run on 9iR2 as well as 10g.
Will the Assistant then be using dbms_redefinition in order to have maximum availability during partition moves (plus any depending index builds and MV refreshes)?

In its initial release we will be using standard partition maintenance commands to move data, however we will be looking at whether we can take advantage of DBMS_REDEFINITION.

How to add a "Maximum no. of hits" - field in SQ01 query?

Is it generally possible to add the field "maximum no. of hits" to a query / quickview in transaction SQ01? And if yes, how?
I have created a test query but I cannot find any solution. I don't mean the popup asking for database accesses which occurs when trying to test this query. I really want to have it as selection criteria.
My system is a R/3 Enterprise 4.7 Ext. Set 2.00.

You're talking about COLLECTIVE search help. You won't definie Max No of hit at this level.
Define an elementary search help and assign to this one a dialog mode (retriction or set of values).

"MAXIMUM NO OF HITS" field in selection screen for Product Search

Hi all,
We are running on SRM 4.0.I have a query regarding the Selection screen which appears for the Product Search when we click on the "inetrnal Goods/Servcies" link...
I have developed a Z-serch help for the Product search wherein i have control of all the other fields lik "Product ID"," Product description " etc..But not "Maximum no of hits" (since it is a part of the std functionality)...In the selection sceen field " Maximum no of hits" ,whatever value i enter that value is not considered...So is there any way that this field is not diplayed on screen/can be disabled(made an O/p field)...
All suggestions are welcome....Please help...

It assign the value to field but try to commit before assigning value.

I know, that's why i am try to put this on save button instead on any other.
But this is not an issue whether to use sequence or max()+1. I can use sequence instead but even then i have to get the nextvalue on form before commit.
and i have to put that on commit button.
Commit but try to commit the form before getting anything from DB.
