May leave Verizon only after one month!

I recently graduated from college and started my first real job- in the process of trying to become as independent as I can I had my number released from my family's plan and got started with my own. I was still covered on my family's plan for another week, so there was a decent amount of overlap in coverage. In my discussion with the Verizon sales rep she told me my new account was set up and ready to go at that moment. A couple weeks later I get my bill and I had overage charges for the day I switched my account! Apparently when you switch accounts you get an allotment of 15 minutes of calling for that day; that may have been something helpful to know before I switched. Not once in my conversation was a 15 min limit brought up, because obviously I would have waited another day to start up my account! I had 45 min. of usage that day (and this 45 min call was done before I set up my new account) and was charged for 30 minutes, even though I was "ready to go" and still technically paid through another week with my family. I thought it must be a mistake and I'm sure someone in customer support will be able to help me, boy was I wrong. I got to talk to an extremely rude woman, Monique, who told me that it was not right for me to expect to get that day free and be exempt from paying my bill. I tried again to explain the situation and she continued to imply that I was in essence a free loader and then magically my call was dropped. I am not happy at all with verizon; the only reason I decided to stay with them was convenience. Are there any further steps to take to get a bill adjusted? Or does Verizon not assist with mistakes and misinformation given to new customers?

    I too are experiencing the same problem on a 8gig 3G Telstra Australia iPhone that was bought outright. I also have another (same) iPhone and the settings on both are identical yet the new phone refuses to connect. I have tried a few ideas/suggestions including: settings, general, network, cellular data network and changing it from telstra.iph to telstra.internet. this works but I think something is wrong because to .iph refers to iPhone (I have switched it back until to confirm with telstra about this).
    I have also tried settings, reset, reset network settings but this did not help but has worked for others.
    I have also tried turning off the unit and taking out the sim card and restarting the iPhone but again no luck yet.
    I plan to speak to both Telstra and Apple to see if this problem has a simple solution and will post a new thread titled "solution to cellular network problems".
    Personally by all the trials and errors so far I believe it is a carrier problem and having to re-enter the pin on this phone everytime I re-boot it suggests it could be sim card related.

    One of the problems that comes with these tricks for variable-rate acquisition is being able to match up sample data with the time that it was sampled. 
    If you weren't using either of E-series board's counters, there is a nifty solution to this!  You'll be using 1 of the counters to generate the variable-rate sampling clock.  You can then use the 2nd counter to perform a buffered period measurement on the output of the 1st counter.  This gives you a hw-timed measurement of every sampling interval.  You would need to keep track of a cumulative sum of these periods to generate a hw-accurate timestamp value for each sample.
    Note:  the very first buffered period measurement is the time from starting the 2nd counter until the first active edge from the 1st.  For your app, you should ignore it.

  • How do I set Mail to only download one-month old emails?

    Hello there
    I have been a Mac user since 2008 but I have never actually used the default Mail client. I always used third-party applications but since most applications on Yosemite perform really well, I decided to give Mail a shot. The only problem I am facing right now is finding a setting to have Mail only download one-month old emails rather than the whole inbox? I have three accounts (Two on GMAIL and one on Hotmail) and of course they contain thousands and thousands of emails and it will take a very, very long time to download all of them since my internet is pretty slow (2MB), so I was wondering if that option is available? It'd be fantastic. It's available on Android and iOS AFAIK so I assumed maybe it's an option on Mac too?

    If you have gmail (Google Mail), one idea is to "label" all the mail you want to in the gmail web interface and then just download mail with a certain label. Take a look at the article at http://gmailblog.blogspot.com/2013/12/download-copy-of-your-gmail-and-google.htm l

    If you feel the restore process is not progressing, all you can do is stop it and try again.  To stop the restore, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup and tap Stop Restoring iPhone at the bottom.  Then go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup and follow the prompts.  Be sure your phone is connected to wifi and your charger while it is restoring the backup.

    WHen you have your iPad connected to iTUnes on your computer, navigate to the info page and scroll down. I know there's a 'how far back to sync' option (might n ot be those exact words). Perhaps you have it set for only one month?

    i have a big problem with my Z10. after one month of use, i detected that ALL mails (sent mails also) are auto deleted from my exchange accounts which are older then one month!? i don´t find general settings to deactivate this STUPID setting!
    I´m verry angry, because I loose hundreds of mails from 4 diffrent exchange accounts!!!

  • Outlook 2013 downloaded from 1 and 1 as part of an Exchange subscription requests activation after one month.

    I have the following problem with 1&1: I had the Office 2010 pack with Outlook 2010 . When I subscribed to  hosted Exchange with 1 and 1 and downloaded Outlook 2013 (32 bits since 64 bits is not compatible with Office 2010) it worked perfectly
    well and replaced 2010.
    Now a little bit less than one month after it asks me the activation.
    1&1 support doesn't understand yet. They asked me to download again but it did not solve the issue.

    It has been over one moth with out iweb working properly, I dont care of getting back the money of iLife, but yes to the money I am paing for my .mac account since It has been over one month that is not working and the only reason I have it is for my personal web site that is my work portal, everithing I do (Photography & Film) has to do with interactive web page, so Has been more than a month that I can't give my clients what they pay for and is really bad apple is not doing a thing.
    Ye s we have read a lot of postings that the problem is being fix as we think, but really that has been the case since a little bit more than 15 days and as today we have not seen a think fixed, still iWeb don't publish and we have tried everithing apple and users told us and still not a single good renponse.
    iWeb 2.0.2 was the worst upgrade from an apple software ever, can we get our .mac accounts money back so we can go to a better service?

    Actually when my account expires on April 18 2008 I am not renewing, any more If I don't get my money back soon I will cancel then my account and move to a more stable company, probably rapidwever or to a host way more stable yahoo or someone who hears the customers and has 24/7 service for errors on their system.

  • Plastic coating tears off after one month light use

    Does anyone have problem with the coating (the plastic edge that goes around the front screen rathet than the sides) coming off or peeling after couple months of using? Purchase mine a month ago in early October and notice both bottom corners paint/coating peeled off or came off. It made this almost brand new phone looks undoubtfully cheap! Trying to mediate with the local customer service, but they claim the damage is caused by scratches which is not bound by Sony warranty but my phone is abosolutely scratch free everywhere around where the peeled coating area is. So frustrated as I sold my Sony Z2 to get this and didn't expect such cheap quality compare to the aluminum housing Z2 had.
    Please share if you had similar experience and it would be great if someone from Sony Global can respond to this. Not happy at all and probably will not pick another Sony phone especially those with the plastic coat on!

    Thanks.  Sony CS showed me one of this printout as their "evidences" showing the coat wore off was caused by scratches. To me the plastic coat looks like it got heated up (by the phone or either my firmed grip?) and stretched (there are white stretches mark circled by me that looks more like its been torn off rather than scratched off).
    I am not convinced as there are little or no physical scratch mark on the screen especially when I have a protective sticker on which picked up little or no scratches, while it shows no scratches at all on the side bezel.  Moreover, the way CS described it as they used their machine to estimate and confirm the peeling were caused by scratches and when I asked them to show me evidence of stats they say they are unable to provide, which sounds completely ballic.
    I demand them to run a heat test on the phone to see if it affects the plastic coating meanwhile and ask them to provide relevant stats to back their finding on the so called scratch marks they claimed... will see what happened in a couple of days.

  • Crystal Report stop working after one month

    Hi all,
    I have downloaded crystal reports 2008 for SAP business one from the SAP service market place on 01.11.2008 and installed at customer site on 21.12.2008. We also developed and delivered 6 report template to customer using it.
    These all 6 reports were working fine till yesterday.Suddenly from today morning (21.01.2009-exact one month after installation) all these 6 reports has stopped working.
    Can anyone tell, why it is behaving like this ?

    Recently I reinstalled OS in my computer, of course with installation of Adobe CS6. and the acrobat stopped to work after about one month while photoshop and others work as usual. I would sincerely appreciate if someone could tell me how to fix it.

  • Will be leaving Verizon Wireless after five and a half years...

    Note, people with Verizon please listen and think clearly on this.  I have asked Verizon a question and I can not get a valid response.  My question is:  How can a person pay their bill on time (due date August 15th for instance) when their bill is coming up as being past due on August 1st?  Yes, I will be leaving Verizon Wireless services after five and a half years and I will not be returning EVER.  So people, please, check your bill carefully because it seems that Verizon's billing software has had a few 'glitches' lately and yes, that glitch was apparently corrected for a short time on October 9th (Tuesday after Columbus Day) but has apparently returned.  Apparently Verizon seems to be making too much money bilking people for being past due before the due date and I just can not continue doing business with such a 'money grubbing' company,  And so many 'promises' broken in recent times that I know better than to believe anyone in the company that says "We're here to help".  I know better.  Goodbye and good riddance and please don't ever turn my phones back on, I wish to have some sanity back in my life again and Verizon Wireless is NOT part of that sanity.

    My bill has NEVER come up as being PAST DUE before the due date ECXEPT for the 1 time several years ago when I forgot enter in the new expiration date on my credit card listed in autopay.
    Currently, my bill due on Nov 11 IS NOT listed as past due.
    My guess is if your bill says past due BEFORE your due date is because you did not pay all or some of your last bill.
    Bad news is that other providers will treat you the same way if you do this with them, too.
