MC46 & MC50
Hi All,
Can anyone throw light on these two standard reports
1) MC46 - Slow Moving Items
2) MC50 - Dead Stocks
Do these two transactions consider 601 Movement Type or any Ales relevant movements.
Thanks & Regards,
Vinod
Hi,
I deleted all the existing variants, but still of no use. Multiple selection window is automatically taking ' ' under the 3rd tab.
Also thgis analysis is for one plant only so can't set the All Plant Cumulated' checkbox.

Report MC46 & MC50 for Inv Aging
Dear Friends,
To get the inventory aging report I am using report MC46.
What is the significance of last column "Days since consumpti" & "date".
The days showing does not match with the difference between today's date & the date of last consumption.
It is abruptly taking the date.
What is the difference between report MC46 & MC50.
These are not considering batches of materials.
Is there any other standard report for inventory aging?
Regardsfor what purpose do you need the age of a batch?
if for quality reasons, then your material master and the batches should have shelf life data. then you can run MB5M transaction to monitor shelf life.
Further you can use BMBC to analyse batches according to last GR date or manufacturing date and many other options.
Please give an example for your last consumption date problem in MC46. what is your last consumption date, from where did you take this info and how many days since last consumption are shown in MC46?
Here you can find docu to dead stock :

and to slow moving items:

Hi Everybody,
I want to know the logic behind
1)MC46 i.e. Report for Non moving & slow moving stock
2)MC50- Report for Dead stock
My client wants to know the logic behind these reports.
What i need to explain them exactly?
Please guide. The logic behind these reports is to identify dead and slow moving stock (and it's monetary value) in order to make a stocking decision such as to promote the material (reduce price), scrap the material (full or partial stock quantities). These reports may also help in future demand/forecast planning.
Dead and slow moving stock has lots of negative impacts on an organisation such as increased inventory levels (monet tied up in stock), reduced stock turn and wasted physical warehouse space (particularly if dead/slow moving stock is preventing a fast moving item from being in the warehouse/plant).

Hi Guru's
Can any body tell me , what logic is the system considering to execute the reports MC46 (Slow Moving) and MC50 (Dead stock)
In MC46 report system displaying 'Days Since Consumption" but when I cross check the last consumption date from MB51 report it is not matching,
In MC50 report system displaying % and Cumm% with what logic system calculating the % and Cumm %.
Plz throw some light on this issue..
Regards
KrishnaMC 46 is a report for Slow moving items based on the no of days you want , no of days is the important criteria whereas in slow moving is the consumption is less.
MC50 is for the Dead stock movement report where in you can give the value range for the material and the period to analyse.Dead stock is the stock you cannot use further because of OBSOLETE.The percentage is given to sort in the ascending or descending order for the value and % and then to take decision.
Both the report by view it is same, but both are different.

WM - Report for stock with storage time
Hi Guru,
How can I get a report with material_name, quantity, and their storage time?
e.g. part A putaway on 2008/1/1, 100 EA
The report will show:
material Qty storage time
part A 100 EA (2008/12/10 - 2008/1/1)
We want to find out the stock which have a long storage time - dead stock.
Thanks,Hi,
Information that comes from WM can be misleading. Even if you have the stock long ago, WM movements may happen within the WH for that material (and this does not mean IM movement but the quant-data in WM may change).
I think you should consider the use of dead stock and slow moving stock reports (MC46 , MC50). MC.A report can also be used to get information on goods movements.
Of course, depending on your WM strategy and processes you can extract the necessary information. E.g. in LX02 you can see the GR date, SLED/BBD, the already mentioned last movement, last removal, etc - check the layout.

I AM DEVELOPING THE Z-REPORT FOR SHELF AGEING MATERIAL
HI
USER WANTS Z-REPORT FOR SHELF AGEING MATERIAL WITH STOCK QTY AND STOCK VALUE.
I WANT TABLE NAME FOR SHELF AGEING MATERIAL REPORT.
SPECIALLY, FOR DAYS (REMAINING SHELF LIFE PERIOD FOR MATERIAL IN DYAS)Hi,
Ask the abaper to write an query from the table S032 there you can find the option of last good receipt date and the last goods issue issue date.
consider the various good mvt in between these dates calcuate the diffence betwee the current date and the last good issue date, so that you can abel to get the stock list that is not moving for more than 60 days,120 days etc
You can also use MC46, MC50, MB5M - expiration date list . In case if that does not solve their requirement then you need take logic from client and you need to develop own report

Report for stocks with no movement
Hi All,
I would like to know is there a report / transaction, where i can check for all materials in a particular plant / storage location, which has stock, but there was no movement for a particular period.
Eg: Mtl-A, stock - 100 nos, Period - Jan 2007 to Oct 2007, no consumption or requirements
Await inputs.
VivekHi Rohit & Vishal,
Thanks for your inputs, i think MC46 & MC50 should meet my requirement, will carry out a few tests & let you know.
Note for Mr. Seshagiri: I think that would be a tedious job, so i think i will try MC46 & MC50. But none the less, thank you for your suggestion.
In the meantime, if you people come across any other standard reports which i can use, please do let me know.

Material Codes - not get transaction from last 5 years
Hi
Can we have a list of Material codes which are not in use/transacted from last 5 years? I mean, want to find out all dormant Material codes.
How can we find one time used Material codes?
Thanks
Ajitit depends:
1. if your company's data was not archived within 5 years.
2. there are already archived data of MM.
normally i will use MB51 and get the the list of all material movements within 5 years.
then you can know what materials have movements within 5 years. (sorting and subtotal in excel)
then compare with full material list to get the result, with vlookup in excel.
by the way, MC46,MC50 can also work from certain degrees.

Slow moving---Items on which inventory Trnx. has done..such as Gr..Iv..goods Issue In a given time span
If u check MC46 it will ask last posting days
Non Moving:-Items on which inventory Trnx. has not done..such as Gr..Iv..goods Issue In a given time span.
If u check MC50 it will ask period to analyze i.e.Dead stock in a period of time...Means items on which no Trnx. have been passed for given period
I hope it will clear ur doubt little bit
