Hi
I have created PR for perticular material X by running MRP. PR is created with account assignment catagory E and item catagory L. now i converted this PR into PO. my problem is PO is not visible in MD04 for x material. only PR is visible.
what is the problem

Hi,
Please can you explaing the scenarion you arew orking on? I didn't observe the combination of Sales oder with Subcontracting??.
For creating PO,it is not supporting PR document with account assignment E and Item categorty L.For this you may need to change config settings.(If try to change config settings...first you have think are changes really align with the business)
Thanks,

    Hi guys,
I have seen many thread regarding this topic but could not find my answer.
I want to create a Framework order (I can't use K forbidden on my project... long story) withAcc *** U and Itm B.
The thing is during Invoice verification all field regarding G/L account and cost center are grayed. So I can't populate those fields. And the systeme keep asking me for G/L Account !!
Is anybody already used Framework order with U and B and was able to populate G/L Account during MIRO phase??
    Cheers
    Guys

    Hi,
For your scenario you have to do the changes in the customization.
For acc. ***. "U" tick the indicator for "AA Changable at IR" .
    This will solve your problem.

  • A/c assignment category and item category fields purpose

what is the importance of account assignment category and item category fields in po(me21n).what is the impact of that fields.

    Hi,
Account Assignment category is a vital field in purchasing document &  has many control functions and helps in determining the object that will be charged in case of an ordered material which is procured for direct usage or consumption. By using the
account assignment category in the purchasing documents the cost of the material can be apportioned to a single Controlling object or it can be apportioned among various Controlling objects.
    The account assignment category determines:
a.The nature of the account assignment
b.Which accounts are to be charged when goods receipt is posted
c.Which accounts are to be charged when the incoming invoice are posted
d.Which account assignment data you must provide
Item category is vital field in the purchasing documents & has many control functions and helps in determining whether an ordered material:
    a.Requires a material number
    b.Requires an account assignment
c.is to be placed in stock
d.Requires a goods receipt (GR) and/or an invoice receipt (IR)
In addition to the above it is also used for differentiating the different types of procurement processes and the types of stocks including special stocks available.

  • Cost center not committed on shopping cart,  for account assign cat "Asset"

    Hello,
We are implementing extended classic scenario in SRM 5.0 with ECC 6.0 backend.
While creating a shopping cart in SRM, in the cost assignment tab when we select an account assignment category as “Asset", and then try to enter a value in the cost center in the basic details of cost assignment, it is not getting committed to shopping cart screen. The cost center field value is lost when we move to the next screen for ordering the shopping cart. For the asset related purchases, we are using main account assignment category as "asset" and it also requires cost center, because while the asset master record is being created in R/3 for these items,it requires the cost center. We also using internal order. So for the account assignment category "Asset", the other account assignment fields that can be entered are cost center, internal order and one custom field called "project code".
We have created this user-defined field in the cost assignment tab in the shopping cart, purchase order and confirmation documents in SRM in accordance with the OSS note 672960. We have implemented BBP_CUF_BADI_2 & BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI, BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI for the shopping cart object.
Can someone please help me with this issue?
    Thanks,
    Krupa

thanks Ramakrishna and Yann for your prompt reply..
    Ramakrisha,
I know that for assets, SC requires asset number and G/L is automatically derived from the corresponding asset class from the backend. In our case, we are putting dummy asset number in shopping cart and this asset number exists in R/3. But we are not generating asset creation during shopping cart creation but we are doing it during the PO creation in doc change badi. During this asset generation you also need cost center on the asset record. So we have added cost center field for Asset account assignment category and I can see it in the details of account assignment. But when I enter this cost center on shopping cart, it doesnot get committed, it disappears when I order the shopping cart.
Does anybody have any clue why this might be happening?
    Thanks,
    Krupa

  • ASSET CODE FOR ACCOUNT ASSIGNMENT CATEGORY IN PURCHASE ORDER.

    Sir,
    greetings!!!
here is a procedure we follow...
We create asset code(AS01) for capital items. when createing Capital purchase order for the item, we give A as asset for assignment category which then asks for asset code in acc assignment cat tab. this is a general process.
Now problem is that I want the field of account assignment category in PO item tab to be automatically populated with the asset code at the time when I put the material and plant i.e capital item.
    Is it possible.
What is happening is that the user while creating PO is not at all selecting correct asset code with reference to capital item, that has a huge effect on asset accounting..
    please provide

    Hello,
As such there is no standard thing available, but there is one thing that you can do, that is
Create a PO document type for Assets and for that document type allow only account assignment A and delete rest including standard account assignment that is blank.
This way, once a person choose the document type for Assets, he will have to give the account assignment A.

  • Requisition has different doc. type NB and item cat

    hi all,
i got one PR from project system account assignment category N  item category standard
but i am converting that pr to subcontracting PO  i am getting following error" _Requisition has different doc. type NB and item cat"_

Hi, I came across an alternative solution to do subcontracting with project stock. From the online documentation:
Subcontracting for Sales Order Stock and Project Stock
    Purpose
Subcontracting is also possible in conjunction with sales order stocks and project stocks. The subcontracting orders are account-assigned to a sales order or a WBS element. Thus, the components are not transferred (using a transfer posting) to the "stock of material provided to vendor" but are directly withdrawn from the sales order stock or the project stock at the time of the goods receipt. The material manufactured is also posted to the sales order stock or to the project stock. The cost of subcontracting is then debited to the sales order or WBS element.
Since the components are not transferred to the "stock of material provided to vendor", we recommend that you use a transfer posting to transfer the provided components to a new storage location (for example, 9999). This enables you to obtain an overview of those stocks that are physically located at the subcontractor. This information is particularly important when you carry out a physical inventory of the sales order stocks and project stocks.
    Features
Withdrawal from Stock of Mat. Provided or Sales Order/Project Stock
For components that are managed in sales order stock or project stock, you can define whether the components are to be withdrawn directly from each sales order/project stock or from the stock of material provided to vendor. You manage this via the dependent requirements indicator for individual customer requirements and collective requirements (MARC-SBDKZ).
You can maintain this indicator in the following places:
in the MRP view of the material master record (MRP 4)
in the explosion types for the BOM item (in Customizing for Production in the step Basic Data -> Bill of Material -> Item Data -> Define explosion types)
Configuring the explosion types has priority over the configuration in Inventory Management.
If the indicator is set at Collective requirements only (2), the materials are withdrawn from the stock of material provided to vendor. If this indicator is set any other way, the system withdraws materials from sales order stock or project stock

    Mario

  • Value Blank/space is invalid for account assignment element fund

    Hello!
I created an invoice with several items linked to funds reservation.
when the invoice has 2 line items, the payment run is executed without problem.
when the invoice has more than 3 line items, the payment run is executed with error.
The message error (message number F6804) is "value blank/space is invalid for account assignment element fund".
I dont know where i should enter a valid value for fund.
    Thanks for your kind help!
    Chiachen

    Hi Chiachen,
The problem occurred because the functional area is not inherited from the Purchase order during MIRO posting. As a result, error message F6841 is issued.
There are 2 main programs for the FM derivation:
    1. Function Module FM_DERIVE_ACCOUNT_FROM_COBL
    2. Program LFMCOBLF06
The latest notes which affects these 2 programs are 1244381 and 1247982.
Kindly implement these notes using SNOTE.
During this process, it should also bring in all the other pre-requisite notes. Do not worry if the
symptoms described in the notes do not match yours. What's more important is to bring the coding in your system up to date. Please retest MIRO after the notes are applied. Let me know the results.
Check also the notes 17941 and 982511.
    I hope it helps
    Best Regards,
    Vanessa Barth.

  • Difference between account assignment model and recurring entry?

difference between account assignment model and recurring entry?

    Hi
Account  Assignment model  is a   template used for document creation in which default values are provided for the posting of a business transaction.
An account assignment model may contain any number of G/L line items, and can be changed or enhanced as needed. Unlike sample documents, account assignment models may contain incomplete G/L line items.
A  recurring entry     is   when    an expense    is  distributed   thru  out the  year  or  for   selected period.     You  create the  entry  once and  execute  it   during  period  end  closing.  Posting happens   to related  accounts  only on  execution in the period  concerned.

  • Multiple G/Ls for account assigned Purchase orders

    Hi all,
We are having a service order dependent PO wherein the account assignment category is service order and is automatically generated..
Now when we are going GR(MIGO), system is posting to only one G/L which is linked to the service order. I have created one more condition in the PO (handling charges) and it should go to a different G/L. How do I configure this. Please treat this as most urgent.
Whatever is configured in automatic posting (OBYC, OMWB ) etc. is not applicable for  account assigned PO. What to do?
    Thanx in advance,
    Vijaya

  • Acct determination for Account-assigned purchase order with keys not define

    Hi,
I'm trying to post an IDOC of type BBPIV through XI to an R/3 system.
The posted idoc in R/3 is in status 51 (Application document not posted) with the error message "Acct determination for Account-assigned purchase order with keys not defined in chart of acts WP2P"
As per my understanding this is something related to FI.
Long text of the error is "The system cannot generate an automatic posting because there is no account determination defined for Account-assigned purchase order with keys   in chart of accounts WP2P.
Correct the account determination for Account-assigned purchase order"
Please help me how to solve this.
    Regards,
    Rashmi

    Hiya,
This looks like its a MM posting / transaction.
You need to go to OBYC and maintain the account assignment. If you provide the business scenario (GR into Stock, Subcontracting, etc.) for the process, I may be able to help.
VKOA is for SD account assignment and I don't believe you can use that here.
    Cheers.
