MDM Integration using JMS/MQ (without XI)

Anyone using JMS/MQ integration with MDM (without XI)?
// 4 integration

We are not, but I wouldn't anticipate any problem with your proposed architecture.  The integration of MDM and XI is currently just at the file level.  MDM components (Import Manager/Server and Syndication Manager/Server) can consume or create XML files in a file directory.  How you get the files to the directory for import or out of the directory for export is somewhat unrelated to the overall solution.
I can't say for sure what the future holds as far as the level of integration goes, but as for now, you won't have a problem.

  • Async/Sync Communication using JMS adapter without BPM

    Hello ,
    Pls suggest how Async/Sync Communication using JMS adapter without BPM .
    In my scenario I have JMS Sender and then RFC/JDBC as Sync and then again JMS receiver
    Pls explain  the concept of
    JMSMessageID and JMSCorrelationID  and how to use it by an example.
    Regards

    Hi,
    If you have selected JMSMessageID, JMSCorrelationID, or JMSProperty and entered a JMS message ID in these fields, you should see the Remove 'ID:' Marker from JMSMessageIDindicator. Set the indicator.
    This is necessary because the JMS specification stipulates that each JMS message ID starts with 'ID'. However, this conflicts with ISO-11578.
    - JMSMessageID (Uniqueness Is JMS-Provider-Dependent)
    (String) The unique message ID. Note that this is not a required field and can be null. Since the JMS provider might not use your provided message ID, the Connector sets a special property called $jms.messageid after sending a message. This is to insure that the message ID always is available to the user. To retrieve this value use conn.getProperty("$jms.messageid") in your After Add hook.
    - JMSCorrelationID (Uniqueness Is JMS-Sender-Dependent)
    (String) This header is set by the application for use by other applications.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Sync/Async communication in JMS adapter without BPM

    Hi,
    as of SP19 XI's JMS adapter offers this new feature for Sync/Async communication through JMS Adapter modules instead of using a BPE.
    Now I would be interested to know if anybody has already successfully used this feature especially using WebSphere MQ as a JMS Provider (preferredly in the mode JMS Compliant: WebSphere MQ (non-JMS)).
    I experienced some issues with the XI Message ID being used as the JMS Correlation ID which is then mapped to the MQ Correlation ID being truncated after 24 characters. So I don't exactly know whether this is due to wrong setup or some general issues with this messaging system.
    Please let me know if you have any experiences at all with this new feature (please do not just post links to the following blogs, which I have thoroughly studied as well as the How-to Guide concerning this topic)

    Hi Peter,
    we working on the same Problem. Using IBM Websphere MQ as JMS Provider for the new feature: sync/async bridge without BPE.
    we switched on a high level trace for the adapter framework and saw a problem in the receiving Object of the JMS correlation id. The notify bean receives the JMS correlationid in hex format. so the beans have two different correlations, which could not find together.
    did you have any solution to get this new feature works with IBM Websphere ?

  • Send attachment via Receiver FILE/JMS adapter without using any Mapping.

    Hi,
    R/3 program creates one (encoded) text file, which I want to send via Proxy to JMS adapter without any mapping or FCC.
    Note: I don't want to use File adapter to pick the file from R3 dir and then send it to JMS.
    Reference: I have gone through below mentioned blog which produces the attachment in the XI payload but I am not able to write the same attachment to my XI dir using Receiver File adapter (File adapter is just for testing actual adapter will be used as Receiver JMS adapter).
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2006/04/19/xi-rfc-or-abap-proxy-abap-proxies-with-attachments
    Regards,
    Sarvesh

    > note sure why you want to complicate things here
    Actually the idea was to explore the possibilities of "Proxy with attachment". And I also wanted to confirm with experts like you before going to other options. Anyway it seems it's only possible with mail adapter.
    Reason for exploring above possibility: Since ABAP team has to create one text file and encode it, so we thought to call the outbound proxy in the ABAP program to send the same file as an attachment and then simply send it to JMS. Which is quite obvious thinking when you don't want to manage a share directory between R3 & XI or don't want to manage FTP user and pwd.
    > i think the simplest thing is to go for a simple file to jms configuration unless you have any specific reasons for not doing so.
    This we already kept in our mind as a last option in case if above thing is not possible then we can easily do it by this way.
    Thanks a lot for suggestion.

  • When we should use JMS based proxy services and when JMS Adapter in OSB

    Hi,
    Can somebody explain me when we could go for JMS Adapter and when we should go for JMS based service in OSB?
    The one scenerio i can think of is when my provider/consumer is using jms provider other than WLS jms provider we should use jms adapter.
    Edited by: user12883209 on Jan 5, 2012 5:29 AM

    I don't think there are clear guidelines available, however here is my view.
    1) OSB 11gR1 is not certified with Oracle JMS Adapter. It is certified with Oracle FTP, Database, AQ and application adapters.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/doc.1111/e15867/interop.htm#OSBAG1403
    2) In addition of the Weblogic JMS, OSB can also integrate with following provider without using adapter.
    - WebSphere MQ
    - Tibco EMS
    3) if you need to integrate JMS with BPEL Process or Oracle SOA suite composite, it has built in support for generic Oracle JMS adapter. Oracle generic JMS adapter can integrate with AQ JMS (JMS providers OJMS 8.1.7, 9.0.1.4, and 9.2), TIBCO JMS, IBM Websphere MQSeries (IBM MQSeries JMS 6.0), Weblogic JMS, Apache, and Active MQ
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/integration.1111/e10231/adptr_jms.htm
    4) If you need to integrate OSB with Weblogic JMS, WebSphere MQ, Tbco EMS it does not need JMS adapter.
    Hope this helps !!!

  • Cisco ISE 1.2 MDM Integration Question

    I have a working Cisco ISE 1.2.1 install which I've performed the integration to our MobileIron server. The "integration test" reports that the integration is good, but whenever ISE verifies MDM compliance, registration, etc.. with MobileIron when a mobile device connects it always reports that all statuses are good even if they aren't.
    My test phone is out of compliance on Mobileiron because of an unapproved app, but when the phone connects ISE believes the MDM compliance status is good. I'm not sure if it isn't really checking with MDM or if the Mobileiron server is reporting erroneous results.
    I also saw in a video that the phone has to be registered with MobileIron through ISE. Is this correct? I don't plan to on-board devices with MobileIron through ISE, it will be done directly through MobieIron (not connected to the Wifi network).
    I only want ISE to check the compliance status of the device against MobileIron and quarantine if it isn't compliant or MDM registered.
    Any help would be appreciated

    Saurav and others,
    Unfortunately, on-boarding sets some attribute fields on the endpoints that will then allow them to participate in a policy. It is nice that we all have MDM integration working but we almost need another class of on-boarding for corporate devices that are already in the MDM of choice (where we prefer to manage them!)
    There is a little documented feature in ISE.
    It appears to me that;
    the on-boarding turns on the following states for the endpoint;
    BYODRegistration
    No   ( No becomes Yes)
    DeviceRegistrationStatus
    NotRegistered   (becomes Registered)
    ( The device is actually registered in MobileIron - this means did ISE register with MI. )
    No MI attributes will work without this magic. TAC engineers I have dealt with don't seem to understand this feature.
     This is definitely an enhancement that is needed.

  • Error in Configuring Data Transfer From EMS to BAM using JMS

    Hi,
    Hi i am trying to import data from database into BAM dataobjects using JMS.
    I am able to get the data in JMS queue, but hav problem configuring BAM.

    I have to import some OBAM Artifacts. Refer
    - To import Oracle BAM artifacts needed for BAM server, perform the following steps,
    Copy $ORACLE_HOME/sysman/bam/emsys_all.xml into the BAM machine.
    Can anyone guide me to where can i get this file emsys_all.xml. I am not bale to locate it on my BAM server.

    Hi,
    The file that you referred to emsys_all.xml is for integrating BAM and Enterprise Manager
    More details on that can be found in
    Oracle® Enterprise Manager Management Connectors Integration Guide -
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/bam/10.1.3/TechNotes/em_de.pdf
    However this is not required for EMS working, take a look at this document,
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/bam/10.1.3/TechNotes/TechNote_BAM_Configurefor1013OC4J.pdf
    that gives the steps for EMS.

  • Authentication error when using JMS service

    I'm currently trying to send String messages from LiveCycle to Websphere MQ (Both running on the same server), but I'm having some problems...
    I''m quite sure that my WAS setup is correct (or at least close to correct) because I've build some test Java classes that are able to put and get messages from MQ using JMS. However, when I'm usng the LiveCycle JMS service I get the following exception thrown:
    [5/26/10 17:46:44:705 CAT] 00000027 QueueMessageS A com.adobe.livecycle.jms.QueueMessageSender sendMessageToQueueWithProperties Error occurred when creating queue connection. Reason: MQJMS2013: invalid security authentication supplied for MQQueueManager.
    Since I'm not a Websphere fundi I trawled through Google and was able to figure out that the problem probably lies with the configuration of my queue connection factory. Changing the transport type from "Bindings" to "Client" didn't resolve the problem and I'm rapidly running out of good ideas. Hopefully somebody here would be able to help.
    The following info might be useful:
    OS = Windows Server 2003
    I'm using WAS 6.1.0.29
    Websphere MQ is running on the same machine (v6.0)
    I've used the Websphere MQ JMS Provider that comes with WAS
    I've configured a Queue Connection Factory and a Queue in the server scope
    No SSL or anything like that is set up yet
    I did notice that when configuring the Queue there is a section titled "WebSphere MQ Queue Connection Properties" where I am able to specify a user Id and password. However, nothing seemed to work. I tried my WAS administration user name, as well as a windows user who is indeed a member of the mqm group. Also tried it without any value, but no luck
    On the MQ side I couldn't really find any settings under either the Queue Manager or the Channel that would make much of a difference. Since I was able to access the queues using a servlet deployed on the same WAS instance I'm thinking it has something to do with the way that LC call the JMS provider. But to be honest, I don't really have a clue.
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    Greg

    Haven't solved the problem yet, but here's an update:
    I created an "ExecureScript" operation that contains simple Java code to write a message to MQ using the same JMS connection factory and JMS queue. It does work correctly, so clearly my setup it correct enough to send messages from LiveCycle to MQ via JMS.
    Here's the code for the ExecuteScript:
    //import the classes that the script references
    import java.util.List;
    import java.lang.String;
    import java.util.Map;
    import java.util.HashMap;
    import javax.jms.*;
    import javax.naming.*;
    //get a list of file names that are stored in the process variable named files
    String strMessage = patExecContext.getProcessDataStringValue("/process_data/@strMessage");
    //get connection factory
    String strQcf = patExecContext.getProcessDataStringValue("/process_data/@strQcf");
    //get queue
    String strQ = patExecContext.getProcessDataStringValue("/process_data/@strQ");
    try
        // Look up administered objects
        System.out.println("Looking up administered objects...");
        InitialContext initContext;
        initContext = new InitialContext();
        QueueConnectionFactory factory = (QueueConnectionFactory) initContext.lookup(strQcf);
        Queue queue = (Queue) initContext.lookup(strQ);
        initContext.close();
          // Create JMS objects
          System.out.println("Creating JMS objects...");
          QueueConnection connection = factory.createQueueConnection();
          QueueSession session =    connection.createQueueSession(false, Session.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE);
        QueueSender sender = session.createSender(queue);
          //Send messages
          TextMessage message = session.createTextMessage(strMessage);
          sender.send(message);
           //Exit
           System.out.println("Exiting...");
           connection.close();
           System.out.println("Goodbye!");
    } catch (Exception e)
            e.printStackTrace();
    Interestingly I don't provide any authentication information and yet LC is able to connect to MQ
    Cheers

  • R/3 u2013 XI u2013 MDM integration scenario - Standard import Maps problem

    Hi Data Masters,
    We are working on R/3 u2013 XI u2013 MDM integration scenario for Vendor Object. We have extracted main table Data using u201CMDM_CLNT_EXTRu201D program. Now while importing the data in MDM we want to use u201CStandard business content i.e. Standard Import Maps (Name u2013 cremdm - 03 u201D but this maps are not mapping all the fields. So do we need to extend this maps..??
    OK. Second, To create own maps we are facing following problems,
    1)     In source section many fields are reflecting twice means in two segments i.e. LFA1 and ADRMAS like Name, City, Street, country etcu2026 whereas in Target section we have one field for the same so how to maps this fields.
    2)     In source, There are few fields like ADRNR which have values but in target we donot have any fields to map for the same, so how to handle thisu2026
    Helpful answers will be rewarded,

  • How  to Set JMS property and Read JMS property in BPEL using JMS adapter

    Does any one know how to set or read more than one JMS property in BPEL using JMS adapter. My queue server is Oracle JMS server.
    Any help and sample is well appreciated

    Hi Van
    I have noted that only the attribute "type" is missing. It seems that when you create a "string" property, the attribute "type" is droped from the XML. If you use another type (as "integer" or "double") it stays there.
    If you try to read your properties, except for the "type" attribute, you should be successful, as I am. If you need, please tell me your email, I can send you my code.

  • Should I use JMS?

    I have a new project where I need to send XML messages to a client from a server and vice-versa. However, my clients are embedded 16-bit micros and my server application is written in Java. The clients will be mobile, connected via a wireless network and may be connected or not connected at times to the network.
    I want to be able to queue outgoing messages for each client so when the client becomes availiable on the network the server can send the necessary messages to the client. But the client cannot use JMS API to subscribe...etc to queues, it can only send simple commands using XML to the server via a socket.
    Is JMS something I can use here?
    Any suggestions and information is appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Dave

    Sounds like we are trying to do simillar things :)
    Why cannot your client use JMS ?
    You can embed XML messages inside JMS messages, so you should be able to send messages both ways.
    I curious how you are attaching to the JMS bus without being a JMS client?

  • R/3 - SNC 7.0 - oracle integration using PI 7.0

    Hi All
    There are three systems in our landscape R/3, SCM (SNC 7.0) and oracle based third party system and we are integrating these with PI 7.0.
    for R/3 to SNC we are going to use standard mappings and for communication between R/3 - Oracle and SNC - Oracle we are going to use JMS.
    Communication with third party system is through Flat File (inbound & outbound).
    I have never worked on JMS, could you please give me guidelines what all adapters and methodologies I should use for  communication between R/3 - Oracle and SNC - Oracle.
    Thanks for your valuable inputs.

    Dear Amol,
    R3-SNC -> for this there are std mappings available on SDN
    SNC->Oracle - > you will have to use ABAP proxy to file if you are sending files to 3rdparty
                              or u can use ABAP proxy to JDBC adapter if you are directly updation oracle tables...
    R3->Oracle - > you can use IDOC to file(if file is used as communication)
                                        or  IDOC to JDBC adapter(if you want to update tables directly)
                                         or ABAP proxy(if std idocs are not available) -> file
                                         or ABAP proxy -. JDBC
    Hope this helps
