hi,
to use mdm ws generator or CE 7.2 SP05, i still need to deploy 3 sca files - MDM java api, MDM connector, and mdm ws generator?
can someone provide me the link to download MDMconnector.sca for CE server 7.2 sp05?

those are for MDM7.1SP5 and CE SP4
SCA to be deployed depend on the mdm version and CE version.

     I am trying to generate MDM webservice through MDM Webservice generator tool. I am following the steps provided on the sap help.
While running the MDM WebService generator, I cannot able to locate "Syndicate operation" while I am on Configure table step. Rest other operations like CRUD,Matching,checkout etc are present.
On the below link it was cleary mentioned that we can perform syndicate operation too.

Hi Pratik,
Can you validate these things :
The operation fails if:
One of the input parameters, port, remoteSystem, or recordIdentification is missing.
The remoteSystem parameter is invalid because MDM has no remote system with specified code or name.
●      The syndication port is invalid for any of the following reasons:
         Port Code was not defined in the MDM Console
         Port Type is not specified as Outbound
         Processing Type of port is not specified as Manual
         There is no map assigned to the specified port
         The port is not paired with a specified remote system
The recordIdentification parameter is invalid because a valid MDM record cannot be found by one of the record Id criteria.
   RepositoryInformation is invalid
If the Web service operation timeout has expired before the MDM syndication process (running on the MDS and MDSS) was completed.

Problem in MDM WS Generator...

I just found a new problem with the MDM WS Generator. When I make changes to the MDM repository, they do not appear in the MDM WebService generator (E.g. Adding a new field); in the past this was working just fineu2026 not sure what happened
Can anyone tell me what might be the cause or do we need to check any Sap Note

Hi Hari,
Please check SAP Note no 1385073 (MDM SP04 Release Note). It clearly says
"If you perform any changes to your repository schema, you will need to restart the WAS in order for the Web Services Generator to work with the modified repository."
So, Solution to your problem is to restart WEB AS.

Using the MDM webservices

Hey guys,
I want to use some of the webservices provided by MDM (i.e. the Create-, the Update- and the Search-Service). And I want to use all three services inside one EJB.
Now I face the problem that some packages I have to import to be able to use the services are colliding with each other.
If I want to use the SEARCH-Service for example, I have to create an object of type 'RepositoryInformation' which is needed as an import parameter for this service. The same parameter is needed by the CREATE-Service. So the object I have to create for the CREATE-Service is of type 'RepositoryInformation' too. But now I have to reference the 'RepositoryInformation' class from the CREATE-Service (the one I used before (from the SEARCH-Service) is not accepted by the CREATE-Service). Now if I try to import the appropriate package I get an error message saying that these package collides with the one from the SEARCH-Service.
Is this some kind of bug in the MDM webservices implementation? Does anyone have some ideas about that?

Have you tried to restart the webServices only? on the portal side, I think you can do it on the Visual Administrator.

i'm trying to get the attributes associated to a taxonomy field from a taxonomy table.
I'm using MDM WebServices to achieve this task.
Can some one help me out on how to set the input schema to search for the attributes alone?

The SAP components you would be needed are
SAP MDM5.5 or 7.1
- MDM server
- MDIS server
- MDSS server
SAP SRM5.5 or 7.0
SAP SRM-MDM business content
WAS engine typically used for deploying sca files given by SAP for configuring MDM as catalog. Mostly was engine of SRM is used in such case.
If you need an integration with backend system SAP PI will be used.

Webdynpro for ABAP call non-SAP webservice

Hi,
We have a WAS 7.0 ABAP only, Can we use webdynpro for ABAP to call a Notes's webservice or Weblogic's webservice.

Generic error while using create operation on MDM WebService

I´m trying to create a record on MDM using a standard MDM WebService operation createProducts
When I create a record with everything blank (but not the repository info), it creates perfectly:

Identifying paragrah breaks added in CSTRING returned from MDM Webservice

I have an ECC RFC which populates data by consuming an MDM Webservice.
The data is populated in CSTRING(length). Example CSTRING(1567) which means MDM has returned an 1567 character string.
Issue: A paragraph change is notified in CSTRING by combination of #### and hex value is 0D000A0000D000A0000.
Requirement: I need to identify in ABAP RFC number of paragraphs but #### is not readable using Character or String Operations like CS (Contains string),CP (Contains Pattern), Replace.
Even if do something like variable+100(1) which shows # in debugger I cannot identify using EQ '#'. This # seems to be a special character which is different from the regular # . Also each # is either 0D00 or 0A000.
I used FM ES_REMOVE_SPECIAL_CHARACTER but it does not work . The same FM works in standalone testing if I supply it with a text like " My name is ##### Mathur".
Example of a string I am getting.
"Requirement is tentative.####FedEx Corp (NYSE:FDX - News) slipped 1.9 percent to $90.67 in premarket trade promotion".
Please advise on how do I read these ####.

It has solved itself today. After making a -Syu today and installing a newer kernel then reinstalling catalyst-dkms from AUR it is working again!! )))) Marking as solved.

Issue while installing Flynet Webservice Generator on my laptop

Hi,
I downloaded the 30 day trial version of Xcelsius Engage Server 2008.While trying to install Flynet I am having the following error
An Exception occured in the OnAfterInstall event handler of Licensing Service.ProjectInstaller
-->Cannot start service Flynet CAL Manager for Xcelsius on computer'.' -->The service did not respond to start or control request in a
timely fashion.
I am using the setup.exe in
\SP1\Connectivity\Flynet WebService Generator to install the service.
Please help if possible.

Deepak's issue was actually dealt with via our support , e.mail support AT flynetviewer.com
But in case anyone else has a similar problem this is probably due to one of two things:
Your operating system is 64 bit , a known issue we have with the Licence Keycode checker routine.
OR , you are running a non-English version of windows. We have fixed this for the next release of the Web service Generator but in the interim we can provide you with a solution.
The quickest way to get support on our Web Service Generator is to e.mail using the address above, although we do check this forum most days.

Why i am I getting Error (5,8) TestCas for a Web Service Test File Generate

why i am I getting the following error for a Web Service Test File Generated by jdeveloper when i run it:

Diagnosis
Due to the system settings, the system is trying to generate a purchase
requisition for a service activity or a service activity element.
No service package has been created for the activity/element.
As a result, the system cannot generate a purchase requisition.
The activity/element is created or released, but the indicator for
generating a purchase requisition is not set.
Create a service package for the activity/element and then generate a
purchase requisition.

And in table DBVM we can get the complete list of material irrespective of fact that Planning file entry is earlier maintained or not.

How to set the AS2 fileName for outbound Functional Ack 997 auto generated by Oracle B2B.
External Trading Partner is sending the EDI 856 via AS2 URL to our Oracle B2B Server.
In the inbound 856 agreement, we have checked the option of Funtional Ack and also Functiona Ack handled by B2B is yes.
We have the outbound agreement which is sending that Functional ack 997 (auto generated by oracle b2b) and we have specified the Outbound AS2 channel of the Partner.
997 doc is being sent to external partner using AS2 channel, but the filename is generating as '40101'.
Please can you let me know how to set the AS2 fileName for outbound Functional Ack 997 auto generated by Oracle B2B.

AFAIK, there is no option to set the file name when the 997 is generated automatically by B2B.
Alternatively, if this is a must requirement, you can generate the FA from backend and send to B2B with MSG_TYPE =9. In this case, you can set the header with filename (How to set the actionname property in B2B 11g)
