MDS Reference Fails on Windows 7 32bit

Hello All.
We have an issue where references to an xsd which imports another xsd in my local MDS repository fails when I try to create variables or use it to define a message in a bpel process or web service. The error is "Exception: Unable to parse schema ..." and the detailed node information indicates it is an invalid reference. I can successfully view this schema and see its structure if I open it from the local repository in JDeveloper, I can successfully create variables, etc. from self contained xsd files and wsdls referencing self contained xsd files in my local repository.
I'm am running JDeveloper 11.1.1.3 on Windows 7 32bit. My local MDS repository has been copied from my XP machine (where everything works fine). Permissions have been set to full control for myself and everything in the local machine's Users group.
Any insight would be appreciated.
Michael

Hi kiki,
Do you have a phone cable plugged into the printer?
When you run the wireless setup wizard you indicate that it keeps going into initializing mode correct?
Have you tried the printer on a different network like your friends or relatives network?

  • Known issue: Remote deployment fails when windows 10 C++ apps (Windows Universal) with a reference to a Windows Runtime Component is deployed in a remote machine (Windows 10 Insider Preview SDK and tools, April 2015 release)

When you attempt to deploy a windows 10 C++ Universal app that has a reference to a Windows Runtime component, to a Remote Machine (windows 10 machine), you will get an error message instead of successful deployment.

Right click solution, Go to Properties -> Configuration Properties -> Configuration - Uncheck "Deploy" checkbox for the Windows Runtime Component project. Then retry deployment to remote machine.

  • The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows attempted to read the file...

    Hello all-
I am currently trying to configure group policy (specifically folder redirects) from a new Windows Server 2008 in my home... the server acts as both an AD DS and file server for 4 client computers, all running Windows Vista Ultimate.
Here are the steps I am currently taking:
I create a new Group Policy called All Users and Computers and apply it to the All Users and Computers OU, which contains exactly what it says (all users and computers in the domain).
    I verify that a new folder was created in \\<FQDN>\sysvol\<FQDN>\Policies.  The new folder created is named {6479C8E0-3134-4B4F-B047-7ADD51684684}
I change the GPO Enforced setting to Enforced.
I attempt to use the gpupdate command to see if the group policy can be updated successfully.  In a command prompt, I type gpupdate <enter>.  I receive the message 'Updating Policy...' then after about 15 seconds the message 'User Policy update has completed successfully.'
I keep the cmd window open.  After about 10 seconds another message apperas which says "Computer policy could not be updated successfully.  The following errors were encountered: The processing of Group Policy failed.  Windows attempted to read the file \\<FQDN>\sysvol\<FQDN>\Policies\{6AC1786C-016F-11D2-945F-00C04Fb984F9}\gpt.ini from a domain controller and was not successful.  Group Policy settings may not be applied until this event is resolved. This issue may be transient and could be caused by one or more of the following:
    a) Name Resolution/Network Connectivity to the current domain controller.
    b) File Replication Service Latency (a file created on another domain controller has not replicated to the current domain controller).
    c) The Distributed File System (DFS) client has been disabled.
To diagnose the failure, review the event log or invoke gpmc.msc to access information about Group Policy results."
I confirm that the error code is #3 using the Event Log, "The system cannot find the file specificed"
Of course the system cannot find the file specified because the folder does not exist in the sysvol folder. I am wondering why Windows is trying to read from this location when it does not exist, and is not the new group policy I created!  I have no other group policies linked or enforced to any other OU/Domain/etc.  Any help resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hello all and thanks for the help.  First a few things:
I understand that the DC should not be running RRAS, but this a simple server being used in aa home environment by 4 users and getting another server just for RRAS would be overkill.
Secondly, I currently have it so that while the router is handling DHCP, I have reserved a fixed IP for the server, so it always has 192.168.1.100.  If I were to use the server as the DHCP, what would my hardware configuration have to look like?  I currently have the router plugged into the ISP modem, and then server plugged into the router.  All other clients connect to the router wirelessly.
Here's the dcdiag output.  I tried dcdiag /fix but to no avail.

Not a lot of documentation on that one, I'm afraid, but there's some general principles troubleshooting we can try with it that might get us moving forwards.
    (1) Do you currently have a copy of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package installed on that PC? If so, try downloading the following security update:
[Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update|http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=766a6af7-ec73-4 0ff-b072-9112bab119c2&displaylang=en#filelist]
Does iTunes install for you after applying that update?
    (2) If no joy there, head into your Windows Update and click on the Update History. Have a lot of Updates also been failing for you recently? If so, doubleclick on the entries for the failed updates to bring up more information on each. What error codes appear for you for the failed updates? (Precise spelling, please.)

Hi all, I know this is a very old thread, but I was battling this issue for awhile and wanted to provide my solution in case future users encounter a similar issue.
I am running Windows 8. I encountered this issue while trying to install iTunes 11.1 x64 version. After some troubleshooting, I discovered that the real issue was trying to install the Apple Mobile Device service.
My resolution was installing the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package. It is available from Microsoft. A search on Google should reveal it. However, here is the latest link that I used: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=14431
Note that redistributable packages for more recent versions of Visual C++ (eg 2008, 2010) will NOT work. Only 2005 version worked for me.
    Good luck!

  • Photoshop CS5 on Windows 7 32bit text tool issue

We are having an issue with 2 Windows 7 32bit machines running Design Premium CS5, when using the text tool in Photoshop it will randomly type multiple letters with 1 keystroke as if the key is being held down. To date it only appears to happen in Photoshop as other text tools and other text applications are not having this issue. All updates have been run on Windows as well as the Adobe products. Haven't been able to find any reference to such an issue on any support forums. Anyone experienced this issue and found a resolution? Thanks

    Never seen that here...
Frankly, if you weren't seeing it on two separate systems I'd say it sounds like a hardware fault.  Have you tried swapping keyboards?
Are these USB keyboards?  Have you tried plugging them into a different port?
Do the users have any software running that augments the user interface in any way?  Something both of them have in common?
    Any possibility of malware?
Any possibility someone's plugged in one of those "irritant" devices available from ThinkGeek.com specifically designed to insert random characters from the keyboard?
Sorry these are only very general, generic thoughts.

  • Pops and Clicks and Delays with X-Fi Fatal1ty Platinum in Windows 7 32bit

Hi, I own an x-fi fatalty platinum sound card and I have installed the beta driver for Windows 7 32bit.
When doing things in the OS, i get occasional pops and clicks. I know exactly what it comes from, it happens when there are multiple sounds being played simultaneously. If I join a ventrilo server, the little intro sound it makes pops and clicks. If I hold down my talk key, sometimes it will pop and then play the little talk sound, sometimes it won't play the sound at all... and the same is true when I let go of my talk key.
Virtually everything I do in the OS has this weird pop and click sound associated with it. Playing music, however, doesn't have that problem because an MP3 is a continous stream of audio and counts as a single sound. It's when there are multiple sounds overlapping does it pop/click or fail to produce the sound at all or in its entirety. It's like the x-fi is delayed and isn't able to play the sound fast enough which therefore produces a pop and clicking sound at the beginning of sounds. This is why I purchased an x-fi sound card becaus it eliminated this problem from my onboard sound. Now it's BACK in Windows 7.
Also, when I play UT2004, by default there's an option called "Use System Driver" checked in the sound options. This makes everything in the game have a slight 0.25 second delay, but it's enough to make it noticeable and annoy me. If I disable "Use System Driver", it fixes the delay but the pops and clicks come back!? I can't win one way or the other.
Windows XP does not have this problem. I have tried both the stable x-fi driver and the beta driver. I have tried updating my OpenAL software. I'm not sure what to do beyond reinstall Windows 7 and try again... which I really do not look forward to doing.
If anyone could assist me, or take note of this issue so it could be fixed in later drivers, it would be very much appreciated.
    Thank you,
    -Neil

    Hello?

  • Creating instance oracle 10.2.0.4 on Windows 2008 32bit

    Hello,
I'm trying to install oracle database (10.2.0.3 with patch 10.2.0.4) on Windows 2008 32bit.
I first installed the Oracle software, and then started to create the instance. But the dbca gives me following error:
    ora-12560:TNS:protocol adapter
and instance creations fails. Also trying to create the service via the oradim fails.
    Then I found this:
Install Oracle 10.2.0.3 (Vista/2008 version) on Windows 2008 Active Directory Controller.
When trying to create the database, around 2% completion, the error ORA-12560 will occur.
This Problem does NOT reproduce on a Member server. Only the Active Directory Controller.
    Cause
This is currently logged as Bug 7263061.
    Solution
Currently, the only workaround is to Install the software on a Non-Controller machine.
You can try demoting the Controller machine to a Member machine.
Perform the install, create the database.
When everything is setup correctly, you can promote the machine back to a Controller.
However, be aware you may have to go through these steps whenever you create a new DB.
    DIM-00019: create service error
O/S-Error: (OS 1388) A new member could not be added to a local group because
the member has the wrong account type.
    WORKAROUND:
    None
so workaround none? or you make that controller machine to a non-controller, but this doesn't seem to be a good solution if that server is already in production???
Is there possible another solutions to get around this?
This means that I can't install Oracle on a Windows 2008? Customers will be happy, maybe I can switch them all to Linux? ;)

I care about low-budget shops, too. It's one reason you won't find me extolling the virtues of (for example) solid state hard disks, which are still not cheap enough for mass deployment.
But come on! A shop that can ONLY afford one server and one Windows license? And yet they want to install Oracle?? Really??!
I think instead of banging your head against an installation brick wall, you should help your clients and customers cut their cloth according to their means. If they want to run Oracle, then they should resource accordingly. For about AU$2500 or less, they could purchase an additional, quite capable server, install Linux on it (OEL for $99 per year, or Centos (say) for absolutely nothing), and have themselves a dedicated Oracle server running perfectly fine in a mostly-Windows environment. (The OS the database runs on is irrelevant to anyone making use of the database's capabilities, after all). If they can't spring for even that sort of money, encourage them to adjust their standard to be more realistic: a cheap desktop PC can be purchased for mere hundreds of dollars, have a free OS, and have Oracle installed (unsupported) on top of that. If even that is a step to far, I'd suggest using MySQL or Postgres instead of Oracle.
So whilst I'm certain you're not the only one encountering the problems of working in low budget environments, I'd say this is going to extremes. If someone wants to run Oracle, and if they've stumped up the several thousand dollars necessary to purchase it, it seems utter madness not to come up with a few hundred dollars more to get it running on a dedicated machine. It would be like me being able to afford the Ferrari, but not the cost of the petrol to run it on!
A suggestion I made to a lawyer friend of mine recently: purchase an Asus EEE Desktop (cost: AU$499, for 1GB RAM and 120GB HDD), replace its Windows Home Os with Ubuntu, install Oracle XE (cost: $0), attach 1TB USB drive as backup mechanism (cost: AU$210). He now runs a dedicated Oracle database server for less than US$500. I wouldn't exactly recommend that sort of thing for mission-critical environments, but it will do the job he needs it to do! The point, though, is that you just have to be realistic about it, and create an environment that matches your requirements -without picking a fight from the get-go with the installer!

  • My Windows XP 32bit Wireless quit working on my 2008 iMac, works great in Apple mode.

    Hello all,
My 2008 iMac in Windows XP 32bit mode (for work programs) stopped working.  The crazy thing is that its AWESOME in Apple mode, but in Windows mode, it fails totally.  I cant communicate with the modem.  I have tried reloading the drivers for the Broadcom from the OSX CD/Bootcamp Drivers, but that did nothing.
Any idea how to fix this?
Please help me.  I have spent a week on this, and its been malfunctioning for several months now.  I must get it working right.
    lh

A couple of things, first there is a Boot Camp forum so if you want support I'd think that would be the best venue.
As you have discovered Boot Camp only supports Windows 7 on the current machines so you are in a box if you must run on Boot Camp. However instead of using Boot Camp you can use virtualization software such as Parallels or VMWare Fusion which perform very well. The are many advantages of virtualization one primary one is you can still run XP. Others include being able to run MS Windows within OS X so you can use both OS's simultaneously. The only downside to virtualization is if you run graphics intensive apps (3D Game, CAD/CAM, 3D rendering) then performance will not be as good as with Boot Camp. However for almost all other apps performance is really good and most cases users don't complain.
While it will cost a few dollars (I believe about $79) virtualization is a very solid alternative.

  • ITunes 10.5 on Windows 7 (32bit) doesn't display the iTunes store

    Hello there,
on my Windows 7 (32bit) system, already with iTunes 10.4 I encountered the problem that the iTunes store remained inaccessible - it simply wouldn't load/display. Problem was solved by removing all Apple software, cleaning up the registry, rebooting, reinstalling iTunes 10.4.1, and NOT installing Safari 5.x - because as soon as Safari got installed, the problem would reappear.
Now with iTunes 10.5, the problem is back. Only that this time it does not matter if Safari is installed or not - the store simply won't come up.
I've tried the whole support articles suggestions up and down - to no avail.
It's not a problem of firewall, antivirus, hosts file etc. - the diagnose function says clearly that even https is OK, all settings in the internet options are right, etc. etc. - I've spent days on that, and believe me, I'm sure about it.
The diagnose function says, however, than QuickTime would not be available. No matter if QuickTime IS installed or not, before or after iTunes 10.5 that says it would neither contain nor need QuickTime anymore.
After cleaning out all Apple software and its traces, a reboot, and a reinstallation of iTunes 10.4.1, the store is accessible again - only that iTunes 10.4.1 can't use my iPhone with iOS 5 on it.
So I'm either stuck with an iTunes that CAN access the store, but can NOT sync my iPhone, or with one that CAN syn my iPhone, but can NOT access the store.
Besides, with iTunes 10.5, the separately installed iCloud control panel app simply won't come up - I can click until I get blue in the face...
Obviously, for iCloud control panel, although it is only listed as "recommended", it seems it's actually "required" to have Outlook 2007 or 2010 - and I have Outlook 2003 and do NOT intend to switch to a higher MS Office package.
I got an appointment at the Apple Store nearby now for Wednesday noon - to revert my iPhone to iOS 4. Then I could at least go on using the iPhone until again the first apps won't support iOS 4 any longer, as it happened shortly after the launch of iOS 4 when iOS 3.1.3 wasn't supported any longer.
Oh, I forgot to mention - during the update/upgrade to iTunes 10.5 / iOS 5, the sync destroyed my recent backup and hung - the only way out was to kill the backup process and continue, which resulted in a "new", blank phone. Lost some years' app data and a lot of important bookmarks that way.
Needless to say that the iPhone was my last Apple product ...

    Peter Hah
After spending another two days on pinning down the iTunes 10.5 blank store page problem, here's the solution to be found: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3372617?start=0&tstart=0
    Look out for "japiohelp".
    In short:
    a) press Windows key + "R", enter "cmd", and press Ctrl+Shift+Enter (= runs as admin)
    b) enter "netsh winsock reset" and pres enter
    c) reboot the computer
    and Bob's your uncle.

Windows CE is pretty old but I see that used a bit in 3rd world markets where people are not rich enough to afford more modern gear.
I use 7-zip for backups, and the SDK is open source which means it can be used in another project such a specialized backup or other tool
7-zip has the AES in the SDK which is been checked as solid.

  • How can I login to Oracle Express Ed 11g Rel 2 on windows XP 32bit?

I installed Oracle Express Ed 11g Release 2 32bit on windows XP 32bit and I can not login ito it. Installation asked for a password to be created at installation which I used to login with.
The login window is started from a shortcut that installation created on my desktop. I tried to download and install three times. I went thru a SW removable before another download. The login responds with "Invalid Login Credentials"
I have admin rights to my PC. What could be the issue?
    Please help.
    Thanks.

What could be the issue? Could be many different causes. Mistyping the password is one, or the database could be offline but in most cases that will give a different error message. Open a command box, Start/Run/cmd and try:
    $ sqlplus /nolog
    connect system
    ... Password ... <the one used with the installer> ... Connected.
    select name from v$database;
login window is started from a shortcut If you're talking about the Apex page, the one that opens a web browser to http://<hostname>:8080/apex and that one needs Apex credentials, not database user credentials. Apex users can be mapped to database users but that is something done via the apex administrator.
Two database accounts "out of the box" are SYS and SYSTEM users, those are special- SYS owns the catalog, SYSTEM is a user with dba role privileges, almost as powerful within the database as the SYS user.
