MDSModelDeploy listservices - how update incorrect services

Hi all, when I run MDSModelDeploy listservices results similar to the below are returned. The first two services are the result of me incorrectly naming the MDS website in the Web Configuration section of the MDS Configuration Manager. Does anyone
know how to update the services so the correctly named service is MDS1 and remove the incorrectly named ones?
MDS1 - IncorrectName#1
MDS2 - IncorrectName#2
MDS3 - CorrectName

You can update, delete, insert value in the web.config file at this location :
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Master Data Services\WebApplication"
For details you have to change 2 things :
For the service name :
<masterDataServices>
<instance virtualPath="MDS" siteName="Default Web Site" connectionName="MDS2" serviceName="MDS1" />
</masterDataServices>
And for excel connection parameter :
<service behaviorConfiguration="mdsWsHttpBehavior" name="MDS1">

If you don't change the second parameter Excel will not be able to connect to your webservice anymore.

What do you mean update?
You can go into the source code and update whatever you want.
If you mean that the WS spec has changed - then you can either change the proxy manually, or create another proxy.

How do I process updates in Service Station

My previous message did not show so am repeating.
I am asked in Service Station to press a Download button for a CyberLink Power DVD update but there is no such button.
Another update says press the Download/Install button but I would like more info before using the Install button. Is that meaning press download first then install or press either button if one exists?
Am I correct in presuming the references to Download, Download/Install all mean press Install?
If so how do I learn more info about the updates in Service Station before installing?

Windows 8.1 Toshiba service station has the buttons you specified, yes the install button means download and install.
I updated the CyberLink Power DVD using the Toshiba service station, click install and it showed download progress then asked permission to extract and install.
The Toshiba service station will show bios updates also, verify by going to your support page to see if that new version is available for you model. I have updated the bios using the service station without any problems except this time, the picture below shows a bios update that is not on my support page and when I tried to install it an error came up saying this update is not for my computer. So apparently it can make mistakes. Verify first, and you can download and install manually if you want to.

Update CAF Services

Hi everybody,
I have a question about updating CAF services (both external and application services)
A java WebDynpro UI that connects through CAF to a CRM backend.
There are 4 application services which use the external services. These external services connect to the backend and are based on RFC's from the backend.
Now I need to add some import parameters to an RFC. This will resolve in the fact that the external service, application service, webservice, java WD model... will need to be modified.
How do I start with this?
I can't seem to find functionality to just "regenerate" all of these things.
In my eyes the only option I have is to
1: delete the external service
2: re-import the deleted external service
3: make modifications to the implementation of the application service
I've already tried these steps. And when I do these steps, a lot of errors are generated in the ejb module of the caf project. (The virtual interfaces of the webservices all give errors)
What am I doing wrong? And is there any way to regenerate the webservices without having to delete them and regenerate them?

No, In case u r making changes in the imported RFC's then that must be reimported into the Composite Application. Which needs to be redeployed with the exposed Application services. And then u need to reimport these in the WebDynPro and deploy it again.
These is no functionality to regenerate all these things at one go.
Hope this makes the things clear.
But most importantly dont forget to take the backup of the code before making any changes.

Update Management Service fails to update dev workplace for CE 7.1 EHP1

Not sure exactly which file is the starting instance log. Here is the output of the sapstartsrv.log file, which is the last one created
before the error occurs.

I have entered service agreement and now entering service number auomatically since i know the service number. Also i need that cost field should not come as editable.

In the order whether you are able to see the plan cost in the COST TAB ,for the activity.
You have to confirm the activities or operation for the order in IW41,then only actual cost will be captured in the order.
if you complete the notification ,your operation will not confirm automatically

Update to 4.0.3 hangs on "Updating Calendar Service"

Trying to update Server to version 4.0.3 on Mac Mini running 10.10.1. Breezes through most of the update but hangs on "Updating Calendar Service", left running overnight, no change. Force Quit, restarted computer and retried update, but the same issue occurred. I don't even use the Calendar Service, not sure how to move forward with this.

All I needed to do was add my old e-mail address - not as the primary but as an alias. This allowed me to delete the account on my iPhone 4S and re-sign in with the correct e-mail address.

When creating a service order the following fields need to be populated automatically using an user exit or badi.
1. Planner Group
2. PMActType Plant maintenance activity type
3. Cost/Profit Centre
4. WBS element
5. Work center
so my requirement is there any function module or Badi or user exit to update the service order details when service order is created / changed.

Activate Delivery Complete Indicator on Service Purchase Orders through configuration.
SPRO-Materials Management-Purchasing-Purchase Order-Define Screen Layout at Document Level-PT9F-Define Screen Layout at Document Level-Optional
Now check all the service purchase orders for which you want to close.

Invoice not updated for Service and limit items

Hi All,
For service and limit we are not able to see the invoice document in the "Related Documents" tab in the Purchase order.
For material I am able to find the entry in the tab but the invoice statistics data is not getting updated for service POu2019s and also for limit item POu2019s.
Found a note for the same : 1462644 - Empty statistics in PO in case of Extended Classic Scenario but it works only for material line items only.
Please let me know if any config change need to be made else if there is any SAP note that would resolve this issue.
